Favorite S2 "Save the Innocent" Episode

Which is your favorite S2 "save the innocent" episode?

What classifies as a "save the innocent" episode?  A "save the innocent" episode will contain (at least) one or more of the following:

• The Charmed Ones are not nor the initial target of the episode.
• The "innocent" can be either magical (like a fairy tale creature and/or witch) or non-magical.
• The "innocent" does not apply to a main character like Cole, Leo, Chris, etc., nor recurring "innocent" of "magical creatures" such as Leprechauns, Nymphs, Fairies, etc.
• The "innocent" must be the primary target/focus over the Charmed Ones.

Eligible episodes:

• S2E4 "The Devil's Music" - While Jenny is considered to be a "main" character, at the time, she wasn't the only victim, in this episode.  As there were many other victims and (most importantly) the Charmed Ones weren't really the main targets, either.
• S2E5 "She's a Man, Baby, a Man" - While, we do not have single "main" innocent, here, a lot of men's lives were in danger.  Making the Charmed Ones, not the main target, of the Succubus' attacks.
• S2E6 "That Old Black Magic" - Kyle is our "main" innocent, here.  As Tuatha had no interest in the Charmed Ones, until they intervened.
• S2E7 "They're Everywhere" - Eric and his father are our "main" innocents, here.  The Warlocks had no desire to attack the Charmed Ones, until they intervened.  But, for the most part still weren't interested in them.
• S2E10 "Heartbreak City" - Unnamed Cupid is our "main" innocent, here, along with side innocents, also, seen in this episode, as well.  Drazi wasn't interested in attacking the Charmed Ones, per se.  It was mostly to attack unnamed Cupid.
• S2E16 "Murphy's Luck" - Maggie Murphy is our "main" innocent, here.  The darklighter didn't begin to target the Charmed Ones, until they intervened.
• S2E19 "Ex Libris" - Charlene & Cleavant are our "main" innocents,  here.  The Charmed Ones were never the target, throughout this episode.  They had to rescue Charlene's soul and provide Cleavant some closure.
• S2E20 "Astral Monkey" - Dr. Williamson was their innocent.  Even though, they did lose him, in the end, it still counts as a "save the innocent" episode.  As they weren't the main target for his shenanigans.

Why these episodes don't qualify:

• S2E13 "Animal Pragmatism" - Tessa and her friends were just a means to an end, as the Charmed Ones were the main targets.
• S2E15 "Give Me a Sign" - Bane is a repeat character classifying him as somewhat of a "main" character.
• S2E18 "Chick Flick" - Billy wasn't the main target, only the Charmed Ones were.
• S2E22 "Be Careful What You Witch For" - The Charmed Ones were the main targets, and Dan is a main character.

I chose Reckless Abandoned and Murphy's Luck.

It was really hard to chose from - esp They're Everywhere and Ex Libris.

I like the baby being saved in Reckless Abandoned and the mental health storyline in Murphy's Luck.

So hard to pick. Went with S2E11 Reckless Abandon and S2E16 Murphy's Luck. I love Maggie Murphy as an innocent played by Amy Adams, who is more famous now than any of the stars on Charmed. She sure went onto bigger things.

I also loved the sisters taking care of baby Matthew, and the innocents in Reckless Abandon. This is an underrated rated, that gets not enough love.

Definitely Ex Libris. It's probably my favourite S2 episode after Morality Bites at this point. I love how they used Prue's feelings about Victor to give her a greater emotional connection to Cleavant. And I also loved how they linked the plots together at the end with Charlene scaring Gibbs into confessing about the murder. 

Murphy's Luck gets my 2nd vote! Another great episode that exemplfies what Charmed was supposed to be before Brad Kern ruined it.

This is such a difficult choice as they are all good. Astral Monkey, Ex Libris and Murphy's Luck would be it for me.

Like Codebox it is really hard to choose here as there were some great innocents that season.

I wish we could choose more than 2 as my choices would then be Reckless Abandon, They're Everywhere, Heartbreak City, Murphy's Luck, Ex Libris, and Astral Monkey obviously for all the reasons people have stated on here already.

Voted the same exactly!

I also loved the two strong, distinct plotlines being intertwined at the end. That kind of plots were often used in Season 1 (which is my favourite). In season 2 the side-plot often was about Pipers love triangle which then didn't affect the main plot. I generally can't think of any remarkable two-plot lines episode after that one to be honest.

Murphy's luck is a prime example for a save the innocent episode I think.
