This is a semi-continuation to the What Makes Charmed...Charmed? thread but expanding upon the "Sisters Only" option. You may select all, most, some, one or two...or none at all! Just curious

I love the Sisterhood aspect of the show, which is rare now that I think of it but it's certainly there, I have chosen; - Sisterly bonding like hugs, cuddles, interpersonal conversations, etc.
- No one sister is in the spotlight, for too long, it's evenly spread between the sisters.
- Expanding upon the sisters personality and way of life.
- How their powers interact with one another.
- Their family history/background/ancestry.
- How they grow as women (this includes romantic relationships/friendships, motherhood, etc.).
However, I would have loved to see more sisterly moments between the sisters, like them shopping, grabbing coffee, going to the spa to get beauty treatments...etc. I would have loved to see Phoebe's graduation from college having Prue and Piper there cheering her on, having them support, learn and love each other, I have often said that I would have loved if Cole and Leo did things together like go to a bar and have a few drinks together whilst talking about the things that they have learnt being on the earth as long as they have, which would be a great and plausible way to have written for the sisters to have alone bonding time. I would have enjoyed knowing more about their ancestry, I always wanted to know why the sisters called upon these ancestors; Prudence, Penelope, Patricia, Melinda, Astrid, Helena, Laura and Grace in their To Call Upon Our Ancestors spell, I can gather the P names and Melinda, however, who are the rest of them? Why do they call upon them and not any others? What makes them so significant? I just wished instead of gimmick episodes like Witches In Tights that we got more of a comprehensive look at the ancestral roots of the Charmed Ones. I don't believe that the sisters should have been alone romantically during the series run especially with having children, however, I would have preferred it if Phoebe was the one who gave birth in season 5 instead of Piper, with her working towards making her dream restaurant come true, in which season 6 it's revealed that Piper is pregnant (the storyline will accommodate Holly Marie's real life pregnancy), Piper would then be a working mother with Leo being a stay-at-home dad, they would have purchased the property next door (Dan's former residence) during Piper's pregnancy, leaving Phoebe at the Manor to raise her daughter, which she does by giving birth to the Twice-Blessed Child at the Manor (my version being that a child born from the greatest good and the greatest evil will unite both sides to take on a common enemy, this enemy will be The Avatars, which would be good for a next generation type series) Piper would get her Prudence Melinda Halliwell, with Phoebe naming her daughter Penelope Kyra Halliwell, she befriends Kyra during her time as a the Queen.

I voted that to go alongside with what you said, having them actually hanging out, as an ensemble rather than paired off sessions. IK Phoebe & Piper went shopping in like...what? S8E1 "Still Charmed & Kicking"? LOL There will be paired off moments like that but not a lot of them as an ensemble.

What constitutes as a “Sisters Only” Charmed?
For me, I chose the following:
-Sisterly bonding like hugs, cuddles, interpersonal conversations, etc. -No one sister is in the spotlight, for too long, it’s evenly spread between the sisters -Expanding upon the sisters personality and way of life -How their powers interact with one another -Their family history/background/ancestry -How they grow as women (this includes romantic/friendships, motherhood, etc.)
I love having sisterly moments, but I also like seeing individual storylines about each sister, seeing what they are like, how they grow/change from the beginning to the end, and their relationships and such, which is why I voted “expanding upon the sisters personality and way of life” and “how they grow as women” as well. I do like the idea of having balance between all three of them, with the “no one sister is in the spotlight, for too long, it’s evenly spread between the sisters”, which I feel the later seasons did better with.
Something I would have liked to see more on the show that is included in the “how they grow as women” choice? Their friendships. Whether that be a person they’ve been friends with before the sisters even knew they were witches or another witch. It would have been nice to see a friend (who wasn’t a fellow witch) of the Halliwells who knew about them being witches, supported them, and maybe helped them out, here and there. (I mean, try to keep them out of the most dangerous situations, of course.) If Paige had been introduced earlier, she could have started off as this kind of friend, to have her bond with her sisters before she actually knew they were her sisters. However, I’d like to see someone else, other than Paige, be a close friend of the sisters who was there for them.

(I know this is a double post, but I wanted to keep my initial thoughts separate from my commentary on other posts.) However, I would have loved to see more sisterly moments between the sisters, like them shopping, grabbing coffee, going to the spa to get beauty treatments...etc. Same here, with seeing more sisterly moments like this between the sisters. I really wanted to see Phoebe’s college graduation as well! So much so, that I wrote a little drabble of this once. The basic idea was this: When Phoebe’s name is called during her college graduation ceremony, Prue gets a little too excited about the moment and stands up in her chair, yelling, “That’s my sister!”, which causes a chain reaction of responses from Piper, Cole, and Leo. And then Phoebe seeing this and smiling at them, being thankful for having the best support system she could ever ask for. I also imagine Prue taking tons of pictures of the day, so much to the point that Phoebe is like, “Okay, Prue. I love that you want to document everything, but how many more pictures do I have to sit through?” ;P I would have enjoyed knowing more about their ancestry, I always wanted to know why the sisters called upon these ancestors; Prudence, Penelope, Patricia, Melinda, Astrid, Helena, Laura and Grace in their To Call Upon Our Ancestors spell, I can gather the P names and Melinda, however, who are the rest of them? Why do they call upon them and not any others? What makes them so significant? I just wished instead of gimmick episodes like Witches In Tights that we got more of a comprehensive look at the ancestral roots of the Charmed Ones. Agreed. I would have liked to see more inclusion/expansion in the show with their ancestry, too. Especially with Paige. As an example, when Paige is just starting off with being a witch. I would have liked to see Phoebe and Piper telling her about Melinda, sharing their experience of meeting her. (I know this isn’t necessarily an expansion on their ancestry, but it’s a moment which relates to their family history while having the sisters bond at the same time.) I suppose we can assume this conversation happened off screen, but I would have liked to see a little moment of this on the show. I would have loved to see more sisterly moments between the sisters, like them shopping, grabbing coffee, going to the spa to get beauty treatments...etc. Doh! Thanks for reminding me. The only time they were all together is when they were battling demons or doing research on them, I actually would have preferred Piper to own a cafė instead of a nightclub due to them being able to actually hang out during the day. Prue could grab a coffee there during the day whilst at work and Phoebe could have too whilst at school, Paige definitely would have gone there when she was working as a social worker. At least then Piper could have gained a reputation in the hospitality industry, she could have come up with different ideas for breakfasts and lunches, whilst her main goal is to open a fine-dining restaurant in the future.

This would've been great especially if it was a small café that Piper researched before of an area in San Francisco relatively cheap to buy property-wise that was close to main hub places and her overheads weren't too expensive to pay every month of course.

Something I really liked that fits into the "sisters only" category is in season 1 when they had no allies to work with and no one knew about their powers. Leo was around sometimes, but almost never directly helped them. Andy was around, but didn't know about them. It gave off the feeling that it was the three of them against the world, and that was a lot of fun.
I like the idea of Piper owning a cafe instead of a restaurant or nightclub. It's got a comfortable feel to it while not being as stressful to run as a restaurant. It can also be open during the day or at night, so it can be a casual place to go during the day and also be a cozy place to go when the day is over. It could also be a place to feature the occasional band for the music aspect, and serve some food so Piper can more easily expand into owning a restaurant one day.

I have zero idea why the ancestry never played a huge part in the series, it would have been the top of my list to explore, it'll always baffle me.

I just think I would have preferred it if the sisters main hang out was in a cafe rather than a nightclub, it made sense for the characters, Prue wouldn't have gone partying after work, Piper wanted to work as a chef not a bartender and Phoebe only hung out a at P3 because her sisters where there not because she enjoyed the scene.

I understand why having extra "main" characters like Andy, Leo, Cole, Chris, Billie, etc., would detract from the "sisters only" concept...at the same time, I don't think I could just watch the series with just them. I like having a plethora of different characters to hone in on, when I get annoyed by a certain character, in a specific episode or something LOL So, it's a blessing in disguise, for me, that it wasn't entirely just the sisters as the main ensemble.

I can understand that Aaeiyn yes. For me, a good episode was a mix of everything sisterly scenes, character-driven plots, children, or relationships that didn't overshadow innocents, and when everyone worked together so no one person overpowered the other like when all the sisters had to be together to say, power of three spells.

Another thing to point out is that it's interesting how many votes the "no extra 'main' characters" option got, compared to the no votes, at all in the "no relationships" option. In a sense, they're the same option but not really. 'Cause they could have those relationships, just those characters don't last too long. At the same time, how can they "settle", if these characters can't be classified as "extra 'mains'"? Maybe, they can have the same amount screen time as Darryl via Dorian Gregory?

I prefer them always being the stars of the episode. I don't mind costars - them not having romantic relationships doesn't make sense - but I'd prefer none of them be a costar for more than one season (but then I'd also prefer only 3 or 4 seasons) meaning no weddings and no kids. I'd prefer each sister having her own storyline each season with all of them combining, but having nothing to do with their love relationship so the guy doesn't become the star like Cole in S4 and Chris in S6 and even Leo in S7 did. I also prefer them fantastical where the sisters are always good unless they're under a spell or possessed and the bad guy (Cole included...) is always evil. I know that's not realistic, but neither are witches with powers, whitelighters or a mercenary demon being counted as an innocent because his non-magical father screwed his demonic mother a hundred years ago.
