www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a39982382/charmed-reboot-cancelled-cw/I'm shocked the show even made it until 4 seasons. I wonder if the original cast will comment? I think this could actually pave the way for something to happen with the original series. Whether its a reunion, a reboot, a movie, a podcast, and animated series... I think it has a shot now! What do you all think?

I'd love an animated series. It's the best way to bring it back and have all four agree to do it without actually having to be in the same room to record voices.
That's how I'd prefer it back. As a revival or movie seems very unlikely. Given the relationships between the leads.

Unfortunately, a revival series of the OG show unlike Gilmore Girls most likely won't happen with Shannen's failing health, the fact of how Rose has been recently, and other things preventing the remaining cast from rejoining again which fans will just have to accept then.
All anyone can do is rewatch what's already there which people here have been doing for a number of years along with the project and comment on that or continue going to fan conventions otherwise.
If ever a revival series did happen whether it was of a show or something else actors/actresses starred in one I can think of is Xena Warrior Princess because Lucy and Renee had a good friendship on and off-screen which has continued since the show ended.
Of course, Renee guest-starred in an episode of Lucy's New Zealand murder show series recently been proof of that naturally.

Since the show was filmed in LA. Especially if they are using scenary from the city in the background of key scenes. Same here. If it's adult or children. I'm not sure. Might be closer to the Supernatural animated series based on the show or the DC animated shows.

As for if it would be adult or children orientated. I'm not so sure myself. But as Too Much Coffee pointed out. It could be similar to some of the more adult DC shows or films. I can't help but think of Sailor Moon also. And even if one of the actresses still doesn't wish to be part of the animated version. They can still get permission for their likeness, and hire a voice actress whose voice sounds similar or close.

I think there could be a small sliver of hope remaining!
Honestly I would be very fine with Holly and Alyssa being the only sisters to appear. They could easily buff the rest of the cast out with Grams, Patty, Victor - even include characters like Henry.
There is a popular theme happening these days with movie sequels disregarding things that happened in the past. Maybe we could get to see an alternative S4 where it was just Piper and Phoebe as the remaining sisters - maybe they could be the ultimate power instead of Billie/Christie?

When I saw this I immediately thought Holly must be calling Netflix right now LOL. I'd watch a Power of Two show with Alyssa and Holly, maybe have Shannen do a guest stint. Bring back Brian and Julian. I do think it is unlikely though

As a huge fan of OG Charmed, I tried to love this reboot with all my heart because I wanted to support Charmed in all its forms. The truth is that this reboot has nothing with the Charmed that I fell in love with.
The pilot is really awkward (in about 40 minutes we are introduced to a long-lost sister; we meet the Whitelighter; the Charmed Ones discover they are witches and face a demonic dog, a possessed boyfriend, a rapist demon; the long-lost sister moves into the home of the mother who inexplicably abandoned her 28 years earlier and where she raised two other daughters) and in 22 episodes they tried to recycle all 8 seasons of OG Charmed (the Source is introduced and vanquished; an Elder goes crazy for the Greater Good, like Gideon; this Elder has a sister who has been living in hell for years, like Billie and Christy; the older Charmed One is a kind of hybrid and for that reason was abandoned, like Paige) but I “appreciated” the effort the showrunners showed in Season 1 (they provided their own version of the council of the Elders and the Source; they tried to set up interesting storylines such as the mystery about the mother's death or the abandonment of the first-born). Since Season 2 they have shown us only garbage.
SPOILER ALERT
1) their Whitelighter's Darklighter (in this reboot every Whitelighter as an evil counterpart) INCENERATES the Book of Shadows, causing a portal to open… the Charmed Ones go through it and are transported with the entire Manor to Seattle, where they begin a new life, with secrets identities, an invisible home and without powers. After half a season, the Charmed Ones regain their powers but for unknown reasons they receive different abilities (the middle sister used to freeze time now manipulates molecules… the youngest sister used to be an empath/telepath now sees the future);
2) the fantasy tones of season 1 give way to science fiction tones (e.g., the Charmed Ones' meeting place is no longer the attic but a Command Center equipped with a huge electronic screen that detects witches all over the world...);
3) the Charmed Ones don’t have a private life;
4) the enemies are simply embarrassing (the Big Bad of Season 2 is a billionaire lady who captures and kills magical creatures to steal their powers with sophisticated technologies);
5) at the end of Season 2, the Charmed Ones are stricken with an ALLERGY (they could have at least called it a CURSE) that prevents them from getting close to the other magical creatures... so when the sisters try to hug each other, their bodies are filled with burns....
6) Season 3 begins with a time jump--we don't know what happens in those months. All we know is that the sisters are no longer undercover (so the whole world knows they are still alive) and the Manor is no longer invisible (so people in Seattle are okay with houses appearing out of nowhere);
7) the allergy is cured only at the end of season 3 because the middle sister agrees to carry the baby of her future self...the sisters make a potion with amniotic fluid and the allergy disappears (on Twitter a showrunner revealed that the baby from the future will have the power of cell regeneration);
8) at the end of season 3 the Whitelighter who has spent all season to become mortal decides to get his powers back because the older sister (with whom he is having an affair) is dying; the middle sister gets a visit from her future self who takes back her own pregnancy; the older sister dies hunting a very powerful creature all by herself;
9) season 4 is not over yet but it is disastrous and embarrassing-- The dead sister did not even have a funeral because her body disappeared (she became the Guardian of a Magic Tree but she cannot interact with the sisters even though the Charmed Ones had interacted continuously with the previous Guardian who appears in Season 4 also in the guise of a Guardian...how many Guardians does it take to guard a Tree?!); the middle sister didn’t even talk about her dead sister because the actresses did not get along (this rumor was confirmed by a showrunner who in this way believes he fully explained why in 3 seasons the two sisters never shared any emotional moments); the younger sister punched a passerby in the face and then confessed that she’s angry all the time because she didn’t predict her sister's death (they had MILLIONS of reasons to justify this anger but chose the dumbest explanation); the Whitelighter gave up his powers (again) to become a Necrolighter (a creature that can talk to souls who have unfinished business) but then finds out that the dead Charmed One (who he's in love with) has no unfinished business so he can’t talk to her; the new Charmed One is not a sister... she’s a mortal who is cured of cancer by a transfusion and by pure causation the donor was the dead Charmed One (she donated her cellular system when her father was dying of cancer)… thanks to this transfusion she became a Charmed One....
Added to all this is the fact that the cast cannot act. The lesbian sister (the middle one played by Melonie Diaz) is really bad-I don't understand how they could hire such a mediocre actress! To top it off, there is no chemistry between the actresses, and the writers are incapable of writing emotionally engaging stories.

As a huge fan of OG Charmed, I tried to love this reboot with all my heart because I wanted to support Charmed in all its forms. This is how I felt about the comics. I'm not a comic book reader. TV Shows and Comic Books are two totally different art forms. I may like superheroes, but I like their movie/TV show adaptations, as opposed to enjoying their original source material via comic books. I do play video games, and there are superhero video games, as well. But, they're all different forms of entertainment. I really wanted to like the Charmed comics, I really did, but I just couldn't get into it. The drawings/pictures are nice, but I have no idea how to keep up with stories, when it comes to the story telling, in comic books.

I really wanted to like the Charmed comics, I really did, but I just couldn't get into it. The drawings/pictures are nice, but I have no idea how to keep up with stories, when it comes to the story telling, in comic books. I completely understand what you mean! In my life I have only read the Charmed comics and after that I read a few seasons of the Buffy comics. It was difficult at first but then I was able to find the essence of the show that made me fall in love. I can't tell you whether I consider the comics canonical or not. But I can tell you that in the end I was able to appreciate them and if a comic book S11 was announced I would be very happy (better than nothing 😅). The reboot unfortunately doesn't have the same magic. I have tried to support it in every way.... I turned a blind eye to the many flaws of S01, focusing on the positive aspects. But this S04 simply destroyed that little OG Charmed magic that the reboot had preserved! In Friday's last episode, the story of the first Charmed Ones was told (in this reboot there are several sets of Charmed Ones 😓 as happens with the Vampire Slayers in Buffy) and we found out that these women were not even sisters! They were three witches who received the Power of Three from the nine clans of magic...one of them wanted more power and the other two imprisoned her in a tomb for millennia. This spawned a curse: since then the Power of Three has chosen only blood sisters (to reduce the risk that the Charmed Ones might betray each other as happened with the first Charmed Ones) but all subsequent Charmed Ones are cursed with the destruction of the sisterhood, meaning that one of them is destined to die prematurely, resulting in the activation of a new set of Charmed Ones. This mythology might also be interesting but it completely contrasts with the mythology of OG Charmed Ones.

The series finale was today.
The last scene the sisters arrive at the Halliwell Manor and go in side with us ending the show as the OG ended every season.
They wouldve attempted to get the OGs back for a 5th season if they had it

Interesting. I really do wonder if they'd have brought in any of the OG Charmed Ones. Given how much they made it clear they didn't want to appear, or so I think I saw online somewhere years ago. I'll bet it would have just been Brian Krause as Leo since I can't see the other four agreeing to appear or would want to do it. But, we'll never know right. Reboot's cancelled.
So was the Halliwell Manor just CGI, or did they film at the real one. I doubt they had budget to re-create it. I haven't watched the reboot past the first few episodes of S1. But curious what the Manor looked like.

The pull back was of the original house used for exteriors in LA. tvline.com/2022/06/10/charmed-series-finale-ending-explained-halliwell-connection-interview/

It was nice to get a look at what the real house looks like today.
It's fun to imagine that since 2006 when the show ended Piper might have changed it up a bit in the past 16 years.
