I haven't watched a second of the reboot. So I'm not interested in watching the video. Can someone explain what the shout out was?
EDIT: I saw in the reboot sub-board what it was.

I wonder if they did that in order to say this is the end of the "Charmed" franchise.
Like Pheebs, I continue to refuse to waste my time watching even a second of the rip-off. I'm glad I never did. I'll bet ten years from now, when fans say "Charmed", everyone will know WHICH "Charmed" they mean.

I don't know about you, I feel like this is disrespectful to the original series, but that's just me.

So the creators expanded on this in an interview for TVLine. tvline.com/2022/06/10/charmed-series-finale-ending-explained-halliwell-connection-interview/This was written to work as a season finale and a series finale. The episode ended as it was intended there was NEVER any plans to bring the original cast in for this episode. That said they were planning to reach out to see who was available for the next season where the premiere would have expanded on the Vera sisters being in the Halliwell universe.

Then I'm EXTRAORDINAILY pleased that it ended now. Them trying to use Classic Charmed to keep them going would've disgusted me as badly as the way Classic Charmed used tits and asses to try to keep S5-8 going. I still think they would've done much better keeping the universe they have but calling it something else and not having anything that has anything to do with Classic Charmed.

I don't know about you, I feel like this is disrespectful to the original series, but that's just me. With the last scene being the front door closing magically as was done for ending most seasons of the real Charmed, I took this to mean as a olive branch to the supporters and cast and crew of the original show. That was my take. I didn't watch the reboot since the second season.

And I don't see any of our leading ladies from Classic Charmed doing it. They didn't like how they disrespected them from what was posted here ages ago regarding the feuding between them and our Classic Charmed. It'll likely have just been the kids with young actors. We dodged a bullet here. I'm glad it's over! How disgusting it would have been to use Classic Charmed to keep it going and try to get Classic Charmed fans to watch. NOT this fan. I still wouldn't watch a second of it.

I wish the scene was longer. I would've loved to see Piper seeing the three home intruders and blowing them up. Such a missed opportunity at ending the reboot on a high and positive note.

I'd likely still not watch it, but I'd certainly look at the gifs online. LOL I'm with him below: (although I'm sure he means original writer as in working on Classic Charmed. He wasn't an original writer from S1 of Classic)

What a great way to pay homage to Classic Charmed, and the best way to end it on a very good note. Justice for Classic Charmed fans. Way to bring it full circle, for how much we were angry when they first came out with it. I'd likely still watch it, but I'd certainly look at the gifs online just for that shot to laugh at. It would be a very regularly used GIF or meme in the community. LOL I'm with him below: He seems childish and it's not a cute look.

He seems childish and it's not a cute look. Yeah true. I checked to see if he was still working on any shows. He's part some show currently called Why Women Kill. Not a good look for someone still working. He must think this is going to get a real reunion off the ground. I didn't notice the #CharmedReunionMovie before. No way, that's going to happen. I think the "Charmed" Franchise is done.

I got downvoted to hell, on Reddit, for pointing out that Curtis Kheel isn't actually an "original" Charmed writer. Yes, he began writing for the original Charmed series, in S3, but that doesn't make him an "original Charmed writer". I mentioned that it would be Brad Kern (love or hate the guy, Kern has been credited since S1E1, unless we're counting the unaired pilot, but I digress). But, no. Too many people wanted to rip me to pieces for "not taking what he said as someone who worked on the OG". Forgive me for pointing out that Curtis hasn't been part of the original team since S1E1 🙄 I just didn't like the way he phrased himself as "an original writer" 'cause he's not.

He's from the original show and thus an original writer. When we get into semantics of original of the original than...yeah thats a different story.

IK that's what Reddit wanted me to think that because people worked on the original show that makes them an "original writer" sorry, that's not how this works. He's a writer or worked on the original show, yes. Was he an original writer? No.

That's typical Reddit. They always are like that there. Why I've never joined. But, yeah, he's not an original writer (he joined at the VERY end of S3, but just worked with other writers on Look Who's Barking. So yeah, he's hardly an original OG writer. In my eyes that would be Kern, Connie, Chris, Zack and Sheryl).
It's a bit much for him to go saying that online as a professional writer. It's something a fan would say, but to come from a writer in television.
This isn't going to do much than continue the feuding between the fans of the Classic Series and Reboot. Reboot's over. Let it die!

LOL, at him hash tagging Charmed Reunion Movie. If this is trying to get publicity for an OG reunion. It not the right way to go about it.

Curtis is credited back in S3E1 "The Honeymoon's Over" as an "Assistant to Writers" (w/e that means), at the end credits portion. So, he's been there since the beginning of the S3. You're still semi-correct that he's credited for BOTH Teleplay & Story for S3E21 "Look Who's Barking". His first ever episode where it's completely "written by" (according to the credits) is actually a S4 fan favorite via S4E7 "Brain Drain". But, yes, he has been part of the team since S3E1 as some sort of "Assistant to Writers" whatever that means LOL

So looks like he was fairly new to writing, and was an assistant learning the ropes before they even let him contribute to a script/episode, and then do his own solo episode in S4 (Yes, I am a fan of Brain Drain, it's among my favorites of S4). This is just my guess.
What goggle told me: First thing that popped up. LOL
