When looking back at my remastered versions and considering storylines, content, fashion, themes, visuals, etc.
Was thinking about this while watching Friends, where I think Seasons 7 and 8 of Friends ages the best visually and also by storyline.

It's 3 and 4 for me. There's something about the look and feel of these seasons that still seems current. 1 and 2 have a bit of an older look to them, while 5 and beyond seem like they're geared towards younger people.

I totally agree with you. Season 3 and 4 seem like they could be believably filmed even in the last decade, even thought they are closer to the 90s. Maybe thats why i like watching these two seasons the most. Theres a nostalgic but contemporary feeling about them. The clothes, the make up, the feminism.

I voted season 1 because I feel like it's a classic, but I definitely agree, especially on the last part.

Sure it was less 90s (fashion and effects), but in terms of plots and storylines it's aged so horribly. The earlier ones felt like they were less copying other shows and more their own thing.

As much as I love S1, I don't really think it aged, too well. I understand why insensitive quotes were made, at the time, but wouldn't fly, now. Lines like "Phoebe? Work? No, no, no, no. She's probably at her 'gay and lesbian group', right about now." Or, Leo insinuating that Phoebe (an adult) is involved with Aviva (a teenager). And, I never liked S2 for a lot of its storylines, but there's a lot of questionable situations like Andrea sleeping with the Rabbit, in S2E13 "Animal Pragmatism". Granted, the Rabbit was in human form, nonetheless the Rabbit is not really human. IK, IK "suspension of disbelief". I understand why people would be uncomfortable seeing/watching that. And, in S2E10 "Heartbreak City", when Piper & Prue were standing in line, to go to the bathroom, Piper jokingly states the possibility of both Dan and Jack being "transvestites". Not a term used in today's world. So, in that regard, I really don't think S1-S2 aged, all that well.
S3-S4 has begun to taking some digs regarding the Phoebe & Cole relationship. Arguments can be made that Cole groomed Phoebe and was abusive towards her. While, that particular audience seems to miss the mark of the "bad guy falls in love with good girl" trope, I can see that not aging well, at all. Then, there's the questionable possibility of "incest" in the S5 finale between Chris & Phoebe, along with the S6E4 "Power of Three Blondes" episode.
Leaving me with the options of S7-S8, where I think Piper is an absolute and total crank, and there's that whole Lady Godiva episode, in S7 (which I like, but I guess most people don't). So, it's really hard to say which season has actually "aged well".
The reason I picked S8 is because overtime I slowly began to like it more and more. I still don't think it's the best season, but I think (overtime) it tends to age pretty well, well that season becomes more and more accepted, among the Charmed community. So, I chose S8.

Season 2 for me (: Dark and dramatic, scarier demons, the special and practical effects aren't too dated (Abraxas still looks good and the sister's powers still look well on-screen). As far as the dialogue and storylines go, I think they still aged neutrally. People still love a good love triangle, so there's Piper, Dan, and Leo for you.

For me season 7, the avatars come at the right time with the war in the world. In the Pirates episode, we see a lesbian couple. The special effects are good.

You make so many good points. Regarding Phoebe and Cole, I can say that my generation loves a enemies-to-lovers storyline and morally grey characters, and they had it going so well in season 3. I think it aged alright...partially.
