Prue/Jack

What did you all think about this relationship? Had it run its course after 7 episodes? Was he truly just a rebound?

While I don't totally hate it that they ended the relationship at the same time Prue quit bucklands to start a brand new direction for Prue....I dont totally agree with it either. Especially since Prue is back to hunting for mr.right come S3.

Overall Jack was pretty good for Prue, he was someone that challenged her to be looser and have more fun with life. The parallels with him and Dan in Heartbreak City was fun and very insightful to the characters. Dan is very serious about everything Piper, he's suspicious of all the men that appear/disappear, how things always come up and Jack is all like "....why do you care? get over it"

I think he should've lasted longer into S2.

I have to admit that, while I don't think he was a rebound persay, I do think he wasn't truly someone fit for Prue. Prue was written to be such a strong woman, with a great career, finances, and just overall generality of strength. She's that woman you look at and think "Oh yeah, she has her stuff together"; I guess that's why Abbey tried to be her lol.

Jack was someone that she needed to date to reassure her that she doesn't need a man if he can't fit her standards. It wasn't just the painting that bothered her, Jack seemed slightly inauthentic, too much of a jokster, doesn't really take life seriously. Granted, there's nothing wrong with those personality types, but again, i don't think it fit Prue's lifestyle.

I do completely agree that Jack opened up Prue and loosened her up a tad, although I think that losing Andy- she kind of loosened up the reigns on life anyways.

The only reason I think he could've lasted longer, is because Prue hardly had any love interests that season and season 3. The ones she did were pretty well written, but one-off; like Bane.

I like Jack because he loosened up Prue to be more relaxed. I don't think they were soulmates or the like. He was just there to help relax her and showed her playful personality that not even Andy (or anyone else) got out of her. It's the highlight of S2, for me. I still stick to my theory, that Jack is what helped push Prue to learn Astral Projection. Both times she "accidentally" Astral Projected (in S2E9 "Ms. Hellfire"), it was to be with Jack, in some way, shape or form (staying with him or Astral Projecting to him). Deep down, Jack has a special place, in Prue's heart, and I'll never back down from statement.
