I might be bias, but Kyle's character is one of my favourite and I wished the writers had not ruined his character by making him "revenge focused" and stubborn to kill the Avatars even after he discovered that they didn't kill his parents.
I do like that he's the only one (apart from Zankou at the time) who doesn't feel right about the Avatars, they are not necessarily good and the Utopia they offered is basically them playing God, but I wish the writers would've given Kyle a few more episodes there, and an arc for him to get the Charmed Ones to see from his perspective.
His established character doesn't feel like that rash person he became at the end, like he is an FBI agent who bid his time for so long to learn about the sisters' magical abilities, he also looks like he's careful in handling situations. Basically, Kyle is a morally grey guy who just wants to protect the world in his own way, hence the Elders made him a whitelighter after.
Erm, also, I don't like the part where he has to leave Paige after becoming a whitelighter. I understand the writing choice cause I think Kerr Smith was leaving the show at that point, they could've written something else. Kyle's and Paige's love story just feel like an unfinished one with him orbing away at the end. I know he became an Elder in the later season (I haven't read the comics and not sure if I consider them canon in my head), it just still... doesn't feel like a good resolution to me.
Feel free to discuss, share what do you think about his character and how to make him a better character! I'm looking forward to hear what everyone thinks!
