I like what I call "Jerk Leo". "Jerk Leo" pertains to the following seasons via S2, S6 & S7 (which, yes, I did vote for LOL). I only like S3 "Healer Leo" (which includes S4 & S5, though I didn't vote for them) only because parts of "Jerk Leo" is still present in Leo, in this season, IMO. So, I voted for the following: S2, S3, S6 & S7.
My order, though: 7, 2, 3, 6, 4, 5, 8, 1

If S4 was more about that than Cole as the Source, I'd vote for S4 - just not enough of that for me to do so. I so feel you on that. Actually dislike the fact that the writers sidelined all the awesome male characters to being mere "love interest" for the Charmed Ones tbh (I love the fact that Charmed is a woman-centric show, at the same time, I wish the writers would treat all characters with some respects too). Leo to me is a fascinating character, so is Cole. They deserve separate screen time dedicated to show and develop their brotherly/ unlikely allies relationship. |

I would like both Leo and Cole a lot more if they were both just part of one season - Leo in S1 and Cole in S3. Yeah, you wouldn't get a chance for them to meet and be brotherly, but that's okay with me. I don't count S4-8 as female-centric, as Charmed was supposed to be - it's truly much more male-centric, and that's when I get bored.

They've got... 1 - 2 episodes where they were working together, I think? Too little. I wonder if Leo might fair better storyline if they had him stay that distance guide in S1 and S2, one who only irregularly pops in and out of the show to give the girls new assignments. But I do also love Leo's arc in S7 overall. I do feel that S4 (esp) - S8 still considered female-centric, only from the wrong lens. It because too much of that "classic" take/ assumption of how female power should be, which isn't entirely the best lens to go about it, of course. |
