Sisters Combining Powers

I was thinking today it would have been a cool aspect of the show if the sisters powers could have come together to create sortof a "new power", or a different manifestation of their powers.

Some examples of this could be Phoebe and Prue using their powers together to allow Prue to astral project to the future/past - this could have started with them only being able to use this power to go short distances into the past/future. This might look a little like Billie's power of projection by the end of the show only preferably less powerful.

Would you have liked to see something like this in the show? I think it could have brought a cool aspect to the sisters relationships. I'll try to think of some more examples or possibilities for this!

IDK if this is what you're meaning, but IK the show touched up on this a little bit, in some episodes. For example:

S2E7 "They're Everywhere" - Piper freezes the needle finger Warlocks, and Prue TKs them, together.

S3E2 "Magic Hour" - Piper freezes the unnamed villain, and Prue TKs his weapon, out of his hands.

S3E3 "Once Upon a Time" - Prue TKs a Levitating Phoebe.

S3E11 "Blinded by the Whitelighter" - Prue TK reflects back the arrow being shot at her. Piper freezes it, midway. Then, Phoebe kicks Eames into it. One of my favorite "combinations", if you will.

S5E20 "Sense & Sense Ability" - Piper & Phoebe, while touching a mute Paige, "call for Wyatt". This is probably the "closest" to what you're looking for, maybe?

All I can think of, for now.

I always think about this, and I was trying to find ways to incorporate this concept into a book I’m writing.

I imagine Paige and Piper doing something similar to what Wyatt did when getting rid of the dragon; it combusts and then disperses into orbs— that’d be a cool combination.

Or even Prue and Piper could’ve used their powers together to do an effect similar to what the source did in Charmed and Dangerous: exploding something and it immediately freezing. (I know Piper did something sort of like this in S7, but it wasn’t instantaneous.)

Yeah, I thought about S8E15 "The Last Temptation of Christy", where Christy would take ages to build her fireball and Billie TKs it. Though, I'm not sure if Billie or Christy or both, turned Christy's fireball much larger and shaped it into a dragon head (while demons just stand there and watch, for whatever reason) and breathes down the fire.

So, that's why I was thinking power combos and because the Charmed Ones don't really have powers like that, the only "combos" they can really do is what I described.

Oh, adding in S3E8 "Sleuthing with the Enemy", Prue TKs Krell, and Piper freezes him mid-air before he hits the clock, and we know how the rest of the scene goes.

This is definitely what I was thinking of - their individual powers coming together to manifest a new power. The example I originally used was this - Premonitions of the past/future + astral projection = limited time travel (a new power).

I am definitely going to think on this more because it's a cool concept, albeit one hard to find examples for (haha).

zachary did mention in a private conversation between him and myself regarding S4E21 "Womb Raider". He said, they created their own "force field". Granted, it's with the PO3 spell, but it seems to work in varying ways.

For example, in the pilot episode, it vanquished Jeremy. In S2E1 "Witch Trial" it vanquished him, again.  In S4E21 "Womb Raider" it acted similarly, this time with a magical "force field". And, in S7E22 "Something Wicca This Way Goes", they were able to re-convince the book to allow them to touch it, again. Not sure if that really counts, since it's through a spell, but who's to say Billie & Christy aren't doing the same thing except non-verbally?

I've always wished that by using the power of three they could turn back time. Piper freezes the scene, Phoebe focuses on the past, and Prue telekinetically pushes him away.

i WISH the scene of them creating a shield in Oh My Goddess (pt. 1?) was from the Po3, and not them being Gods.. would’ve been great to see how many different ways the Po3 spell or just using the Po3 could be used

I've been gathering up as many "power combos", if you will, as possible and will put it in a video, at a later time.

The very first "power combo" (TK/AP, Freezing/Blow up, Levitation/Empathy, TK-Orb/Orbing/Glamouring, etc.) I came across, in the show, whether it's ALL three sisters or just two sisters was in S1E6 "The Wedding from Hell". It's when Piper froze the demon brides, and Prue came in and TK'd them.

The rest that I found in S1, are as follows:

S1E7 "The Fourth Sister" - Piper freezes Kali, and Prue TKs a frozen Kali, into the mirror. As a bonus, Phoebe uses a fireplace shovel to "shatter her reflection".

S1E10 "Wicca Envy" - Piper accidentally freezes Panther Hannah (which in turn froze Rex). The sisters move, and Prue TKs a frozen Rex, closer to a frozen Hannah, so when they unfreeze, Panther Hannah bites Rex to death, before she dies to the Triad fire circle ring, thing.

S1E17 "That 70s Episode" - Prue TKs Nikolas (after his ring became "unblessed") and when that didn't "knock him out", Piper froze him.

S2 doesn't have as much as S1, but there's (at least) three occasions of "power combos":

S2E2 "Morality Bites" - Piper freezes Pratt and then Prue TKs the dog poop, to meet his shoe. The incident that leads us to the famous "our job is to protect the innocent and not punish the guilty" line.

S2E7 "They're Everywhere" - (What inspired this conversation) Piper freezes the needle finger warlocks, and Prue TKs them closer, together.

S2E10 "Heartbreak City" - (FIRST one with a NEW POWER!) Prue APs to stop Drazi from running away, even more. OFC, she cannot TK in AP form, but she DOES PHYSICALLY stop him by knocking him unconscious before she cancels her AP. Then, Piper freezes Drazi.  Bonus, Phoebe throws the potion.

For S2, SPECIFICALLY, it's a tough call between S2E7 "They're Everywhere" and S2E10 "Heartbreak City", for me.  I really like how S2E7 "They're Everywhere" utilized JUST their powers.  But, I (also) like S2E10 "Heartbreak City" for TWO different reasons 1) A different power was used and 2) Phoebe was semi-included.

For S1, I gotta go with S1E7 "The Fourth Sister" just because Phoebe felt more "included".  IK there's not much she can do, since her power is more passive than active, but I just wanted to point that out.

Great catch! I have to dig and watch this scene again. So this the first Po3 team-up/power combo on the show. Interesting.

I think I found my first one where ALL three of the sisters, use their powers, in the same scenario, depending on how you look at it. It's either in S3E1 "The Honeymoon's Over" or S3E3 "Once Upon a Time".

S3E1 "The Honeymoon's Over" - Piper freezes "just the innocents", Prue TKs fireballs that's being thrown at them, in the famous Courtroom fight scene. And, Phoebe (possibly) Levitates, in this scene.

S3E3 "Once Upon a Time" - Piper freezes a Troll and Prue TKs into the fire. Phoebe levitates and calls for Prue's help, and Prue TKs a levitating Phoebe (while simultaneously TKing a MOVING troll). Then, as both Prue and Piper run towards the fire, Piper freezes it and then unfreezes it, as the remaining trolls try to run through it, to follow them.

IK how most (not all) of this board feels about S3 "changing things", but it seems like S3 (also) contains the most "power combining" compared to S1-S2, for the Prue Era.

This might be my S1 favorite.. OR, depending on if you count it-- when WendigoPiper froze the flare and Prue TK'd it into WendigoAshburns chest.

Interestingly enough, I wanna say another favorite combo of mine is Piper freezing the warlocks and Phoebe kicking them; I know it's not really a power, but I do love them utilizing her physical ability in that combo-effect way!

I'm thinking of one in Pre-Witched, which again, may not count, but I like when Piper freezes Shadow after Prue throws the fireplace poker & then they finish him off with a spell. Nice lil combo, though I guess I'd have to headcannon that Prue used TK to help throw the poker

So, my final answer would be yes, this is the best S2 combo/tag-team for me, at least, assuming it's a powered combo. If I can choose Piper & Phoebe when they saved Eric, that'd be the one!
