That sounds like a good job Phoebe could've done which would incorporate some of her psychic talents if she read tarot cards herself and the carefree personality she had earlier on also. That sounds like so much fun. I know my sister used to be so into tarot cards. She even went to a psychic for a reading once.

I'm currently working in an office for a small taxi enterprise but also drive a taxi when needed. Still on sick leave. Ah, I always wondered what you did! Wow, so when you said you're just returning to work, that's insane! I thought you were out for maybe a week or so, but this was almost a month. I truly hope you're feeling much better and you're healing. I used to work in a printing company. COVID hit them hard and they went bankrupt. I work from home on small jobs now and help out a friend with their work from home with managing their Instagram page.
forbuss if you're curious, you can check out the Introduction page. There's a question asking What is your occupation and some fill that in. Small jobs like freelance opportunities? When I see "Small jobs" I'm thinking of The Sims, when small jobs meant ghost hunting or using metal detectors on the beach, so there's so many ideas of what you could be doing when you say small jobs . I do recall you mentioning your friends Instagram page, that's great you help them! You should check out Social Media Management! I work in the accounting department of a wholesale florist, mainly entering information from cash, checks and credit card slips that our customers used to pay us. I've been there since October, 2000, and love it, especially because the building is only 7 blocks from home, so unless the weather is bad (and then there's a bus that travels the 7 blocks), I walk to and from work. Ahh, I recall you mentioning a flowershop, but I always assumed you arranged the flowers and such. The accounting side of it sounds a bit less demanding, right? Or does your plate get very full during your daily work? I also love that you can walk to and from work, just be careful! Lots of crazies out there.
I work in childcare for the YMCA charity organisation which I've done since 2006. Through that, I do breakfast club in the mornings so I work at a catholic school and give the kids their food before taking them to class then do after-school club where I pick up other children from another school and take them back to the YMCA building I work at via a minibus and do activities with them till their parents collect the kids after work. At lunchtime, I'm a dinner lady at the school where I do breakfast club but that time work for the school itself and not YMCA. I love this! Thanks for all that you do. I'm gonna toss around ideas for my sisters, they always wish for childcare, but the daycares are SO expensive weekly, so maybe they outta check out the Y.
Previously worked as a Server and occasional kitchen hand at my local restaurant. This was a job to get back on my feet post-COVID. (Until May 22, 2022) Librarian assistant (As of May 17, 2022) I LOVE my job here for the past year. It's so much fun. I love books, i'm so much happier here than being a server and kitchen hand, I'm also getting paid better than my last job. Glad you found work post-COVID. I'm also thrilled that you have much more of a satisfying job. I've always wanted to work in a library, but my local one couldn't pay well, understandably. What books are you currently reading?
I work with the little sisters of the poor in France since 10 years. They are present all over the world. I'm with old people like Paige in "love's a witch" 😅. I walk to and from work too ! How fascinating! My sister actually worked with that program in Indianapolis! Glad you can walk to and from work, as well, but like Es, just be careful!
I work as a Hiking Guide for a National Park. Camp Counselor during the busy summer months when it's summer camp season. Think P3 H20 from Charmed with the camp. Good thing I don't live that far from the National Park. About a 12-15 minute car ride from my house.
I'm happy to have found a job much closer to home. My previous job was an hour away (sometimes 20-30 minutes more if I'm in heavy traffic) working as a childcare worker.
Haha, the writer in me is seeing the multitude of stories that can be created for a character who works at a National park/Summer Camp. That was a job I've always wanted to try out, too, like being a librarian. However, the camp I applied to was only accepting high-school students, and that's fine. Loved hearing about what you do! I'm retired dears! But I have a local community center I love to attend in my retirement. I missed it dearly during COVID. Basically, I enjoy all the activities they offer. I also attend the community lunch every Thursday and always enjoy catching up with my friends. My granddaughter even has a job working here after she graduated college. So it has an even more special place in my heart now. Love hearing that you're retired! Enjoy retirement, that's what you've worked so hard for! I'm working as hard as I can to ensure my Grandmother can retire hopefully soon! She's pushing into her 80s now. I am currently a freelance Reiki Master and energy healer, mostly work with the healing side of stuffs more than the occult/ astrology side of stuff - but I am verse in tarot and Akashic Records as well - to help people maintain spiritual balance and good energetic hygiene. We talked a bit about this on Disc. I loved reading about what you do! I'm a big supporter of hollistic healing and such, and I'm diving deeper into my spirituality daily!
I loved hearing about what you all do, and I'm glad you all took the time to share!
I became a virtual assistant post-COVID, started out freelancing VA and social media work 4 years ago, and now I've started my own business doing contractual VA work. Nothing fancy, and there's times I wish I had a small group of co-workers or something, just to get that customer/co-worker interaction that the extrovert in me loves so much, but I enjoy working from home so I can be an amazing Uncle when my nieces/nephews are around, and I'm happy to be doing something I'm good at and enjoy doing!

I was out since the end of February. Had an operation in March and that it took a long time to heal and to get the movement of my arm back. Still in progress, btw.

Chrisaholic , I'm glad you had some time to recover! Like I mentioned in another thread, I wish sick leave was extended as needed. Keep getting as much rest and therapy as you can.

I wish you nothing but the best. Good luck with your recovery. Chrisaholic , I'm glad you had some time to recover! Like I mentioned in another thread, I wish sick leave was extended as needed. Keep getting as much rest and therapy as you can. Me, too. I really wish it was extended as needed. Sometimes it feels like as long as you are not on deaths door, you're expected to go back into work right away. But I don't see why they can hire someone to fill in until someone recovers.

Like in my little taxi company, yet I'm still looking for something better paid. And better for my skills.

Me, too. I really wish it was extended as needed. Sometimes it feels like as long as you are not on deaths door, you're expected to go back into work right away. But I don't see why they can hire someone to fill in until someone recovers. That's exactly how it is.. As long as you're able, you're expected to work. If you can't, you'll be replaced. I hate it.

I don't work and I am disabled. If you read my story in the welcome thread on page 28 it will make more sense as to part of the reason why I am disabled. I live with my Dad on some acreage that has been in the family for 70 some years. I am pretty much Dad's live in caregiver since he is in a wheelchair. I also have my son that is special needs which is pretty much a full time job when he is here too. I do have an Associate's degree in Web Design, I lacked two classes to get a Bachelor's degree in Web Development.

Well, I used to be a vet tech and that's where my heart still lies. I miss it every single day, but I had to make a career change for health reasons. None of the vets in my area really offer insurance and insurance on its own is too expensive for me to afford so now I'm fully integrated in corporate America and I hate it.
I work as a move coordinator for a company out of California (I am not in California, at all - I live in the southeast). I work from home and I get assigned customers to help move them where their jobs want them. It's hectic, it's overwhelming, and it's not want I want to do but it pays really well (for where I live) and it keeps the bills paid and I get to be at home all day.
I am also in the process of opening my own business making resin dice for D&D.
