I’ve been thinking about this topic for a while, and I’m wondering what everyone’s favorite type of episodes are!
(EVIL & DEMONS CAN BE INTERCHANGEABLE. ITS NOT JUST DEMONS PERSAY, AS THERE ARE DARKLIGHTERS, AND DEITIES.. so let’s generalize it and call it evil! Use your best interpretations, this shouldn’t be hard 🤣)
To break it down a bit..
“The sister’s hunt a demon that specifically requires the Po3” (or just hunting a demon in general)
That would be episodes like Blinded By the Whitelighter, Death Takes A Halliwell, Muse To My Ears, Used Karma, Witch Trial, The Devil’s Music, Siren Song, Vahalley Of the Dolls, Witchstock, Extreme Makeover: World Edition.
“The sister’s are targeted by evil that requires the Po3”
That would be episodes like That 70’s Episode, Pre-Witched, The Painted World, Thank You For Not Morphing, The Fourth Sister, Deja Vu All Over Again, Repo Manor.
“The sister’s just so happen to get targeted by evil, not knowing they’re the Po3”
That would be episodes like Which Prue Is It Anyways, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, That Old Black Magic, Animal Pragmatism, How To Make A Quilt Out Of Americans, Chick Flick, The Witch Is Back (Matthew isn’t after the Po3 because they’re the Po3, but because they’re descendants of MW).
“The sister’s help/save an innocent, and therefore are led to evil”
That would be episodes like Wrestling With Demons, They’re Everywhere, Dead Man Dating, Feats of Clay, We all Scream for Ice Cream, Soul Survivor, The Wedding From Hell, Love Hurts.

Too many of your choice are about the Po3 vs demons. I feel that should be a separate poll and then the winner goes against the last choice.
For me, most of my favorite episodes don't include demons (one of the main reasons why I prefer early Charmed over later Charmed) and if they do, they're a very small part of the episode. So I picked the last two choices.

I chose the first option due to the factor that the first option opens the possibility of twists. Similar in Death Takes A Halliwell, Prue was on Death's List, or Blinded by a whitelighter, Eames was the bow.
I think some of the iconic episodes are the first option.

Second and last option. But the last one more ideal in general. But the examples made me realize that some favorites are in the second option too.

So, I'm basing these options off of my own perception of what these options mean to me and not necessarily the foundation of the OP, since we (somewhat) disagree on which episodes constitutes what for said categories. That being said, if we only had one vote, my number one vote would be for "The sisters help innocents, and therefore are led to evil" with or without my own interpretation of the category. The Sisters Help Innocents Therefore are Led to EvilI love it, when the Charmed Ones protect innocents. Examples of such episodes would be the following episodes, one from each season: - S1E19 "Out of Sight"
- S2E7 "They're Everywhere"
- S3E2 "Magic Hour"
- S4E11 "Trial by Magic"
- S5E6 "The Eyes Have It"
- S6E7 "Soul Survivor"
- S7E5 "Styx Feet Under"
- S8E3 "Run, Piper, Run"
The Sisters are Targeted by Evil That Requires the Po3As the very first episode of the series showcases this, I expect to see a lot of this. Even if it isn't quite a "PO3 Solution", they're still around to help each other against said evil. Especially, since this category would (also) include the evil knowing they're the Charmed Ones. Examples of such episodes would be the following episodes, one from each season: - S1E7 "The Fourth Sister"
- S2E1 "Witch Trial"
- S3E9 "Coyote Piper"
- S4E13 "Charmed & Dangerous"
- S5E20 "Sense & Sense Ability"
- S6E18 "Spin City"
- S7E22 "Something Wicca This Way Goes"
- S8E16 "Engaged & Confused"
The Sisters Just so Happen to Get Targeted by Evil, not Knowing They Were the Charmed OnesSimilar to option 2 (in my order) but this time, the evil not really aware of them being "the Charmed Ones". Examples of such episodes would be the following episodes, one from each season: - S1E2 "I've Got You Under My Skin"
- S2E13 "Animal Pragmatism"
- S3E10 "We all Scream for Ice Cream"
- S4E5 "Size Matters"
- S5E2 "A Witch's Tail, Pt 2"
- S6E9 "Little Monsters"
- S7E8 "Charmed Noir"
- S8E11 "Mr. & Mrs. Witch"
The Sisters Hunt a Demon That Requires a Po3 VanquishThis is the one option, I disagree with the OP's definition (regarding certain episodes). I'm thinking more along the lines of the following: - S3E18 "Sin Francisco" (Prue scrying for evil)
- S4E3 "Hell Hath No Fury" (mostly, Piper scrying for demons, after demons and only trying to explode them)
- S5E21 "Necromancing the Stone" (Piper vanquishing demons, to hold Wyatt's ceremony)
- S6E1 "Valhalley of the Dolls, Pt 1" (particularly the Trok Demon)
- S6E11 "Witchstock" (particularly, the Slime Demon)
- S7E12 "Extreme Makeover: World Edition" (when, they're out vanquishing random demons who really haven't done anything, yet)
- S8E13 "Repo Manor" (mostly, Piper out on vanquishing a bunch of demons, in the hopes it'll bring Leo back)
More like episodes where they're actively hunting down demons/evil beings, without a prerequisite, like a demon attacking first. Just doesn't sit right with me. Doesn't matter, if it requires a PO3 vanquish or not, IMO. If I had my way, I would NOT vote for the first option, in the OP, and the last option, in my layout. In my layout, the "Top 3" is where it's at, for me. Mostly, like the first 2, but I can tolerate the third option, as well.

Too many of your choice are about the Po3 vs demons. that was the point of the post though. That’s why I selected the option I did, because I like it when the sisters come across threats that aren’t necessarily Po3-based nor aren’t looking for the Charmed Ones to begin with. So the categories represent the different ways The Charmed Ones and Evil come across eachother, and which category of those ways do you happen to favor? and if they do, they're a very small part of the episode. So I picked the last two choices. I notice you like Murphy’s luck, and in my opinion, that would fall under the either of the options you picked!

I like your vote and your explanation!

You're right - my bad. But that darklighter is an evil I absolutely love to hate, part of why I love the episode. Once you get to S4, most of the evil just bores me.

I think a combination of all four throughout the series would be amazing if the episodes were well written and not so over the place with ridiculous and non-coherent writing, I think episodes where they are helping an innocent and the events lead them to a demon can coexist with episodes where they are finding demons and vanquishing them, you don't want to make the show to formulaic otherwise it just becomes predictable and boring, at least in my opinion.
I enjoy the episodes where the sisters relationship is at the forefront of it and the demon hunting takes a backseat however if the episode surrounds the family line and the witches throughout it, I love and enjoy that episode a lot more, I actually would have loved if we had met a lot of the other witches throughout the line such as: Astrid, Laura, Grace, Helena, why do the sisters or the the Warren Line call upon them specifically? What about Brianna and Beatrice? What happened to Bowen after the vanquishing of their cousin Russell? What were their first names?
There are so many questions that I would have personally loved answered and I believe that the eight seasons of which the show was on for could have and should have answered them.

All of that would've been very fun to see explored. I would've loved a prequel spin-off companion series where every season starred a different Warren In a different period of time.
