I noticed we didn't have a thread about video games, other than this one, but it's not general enough. I (also) understand, that maybe these boards don't necessarily target gamers, but you never know!
Do you play any video games? If so, what/which kinds? Do you have a favorite genre? Do you play competitively or casually? How long have you been a gamer? Got any Gaming contacts to befriend some fellow gamers? If so, which ones are you willing to share? |

Do you play any video games? If so, what/which kinds? Yes, and puzzle games (mostly). Probably my most "intense" (if you will) video game would be World of Warcraft.
Do you have a favorite genre? Puzzles, I guess LOL
Do you play competitively or casually? I used to be competitive, but I'm more casual, now.
How long have you been a gamer? A long time LOL

Finally managed to re-up my Star Wars the Old Republic account and am having fun with it. It's a nice little "MMO"RPG. Similar to World of Warcraft but better RP, IMO.
Another game I've been getting into is actually a Co-Op game called "Unsolved Case" or even its continuation via "Unboxing the Cryptic Killer", where you work with another person to solve puzzles and crack the case. I love playing that one with my husband. Interesting to see our strengths and weaknesses, though my husband is the better logic puzzle player than I am LOL Though, IK how to solve some things, too! It's been an interesting experience, for the both of us. Definitely different compared to other games we played.

I do play occasionally. I just upgraded my computer a couple months ago and still haven't really gotten to play any of my games. I really REALLY want Diablo 4. I have Diablo 2 Lord Of Destruction and Diablo 2 Resurrected as well as Diablo 3 Reaper Of Souls. I have a few of the Guild Wars games as well as Dragon Age and some of those. I had more but some of them were stolen when I was in a really bad living situation a few years ago. I also play games on my phone and I have a pogo subscription online. Right now I have a lot going on so the gaming has kind of taken a backseat and I'm not on as much as I normally would be.

I used to play video games when I was younger whether that be at the arcades or games console.
Growing up my favourites were Super Mario Brothers, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and the original Tomb Raiders as well.
One of my other favourite type video games I had was a Titanic PC game where you were an MI5-type agent who had to recover certain items to make the outcome of the Titanic different and defeat a German agent also.
If you succeeded World War 2 never occurred because Archduke Ferdinand wasn't killed and Hitler became a famous painter also.
The second was Cluedo where the animations of the suggested kills were quite graphic and scared me sometimes as a teenager then.
That kind of stopped later in adulthood when I got more into playing games on mobiles or doing YouTube and any other internet-type stuff though I still have a pink Nintendo Ds Lite with a load of games which still works.
Now I generally play mobile board games like Monopoly, Tetris, Snakes and Ladders, Cluedo, and Ludo, or card and word games like Boggle, Wordswarches, and UNO.

Omg, I downloaded Unsolved Case on my steam account to play with my partner, we just haven't played it yet. I'm excited someone mentioned a game I have on my "to play" list.

I do. A lot. I have a PS4, xBox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and my gaming PC. So I play all kinds of games across all kinds of platforms, but my favorite platform is the Switch, because I like laying on the couch, bundled up with my cozy games and some TV.
I play Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Pokemon (all of them), The Legend of Zelda, Terraria, Skyrim, Minecraft, Sims, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Stray, etc...

Casually - also a "streamer" just starting out and will eventually have a YT channel

I've been playing Pokemon consistently for about 25 years, and that's really all I ever played for a long time. I've been expanding from Pokemon for about 13 years

I used to love playing Donkey Kong and Mario in the 90s.
The only video game PC I did play a little was Diablo.

Not toooo much of a gamer, but I love me some Sims, and Grand Theft Auto. A lot of open-world games are pretty good.
Do you have a favorite genre? I've recently learned that the games I play are called "Sandbox" games. Very therapeutic, or Destimulating; like Minecraft or Roblox, which I've also played, though not as much. Do you play competitively or casually? Casually! Which is odd, because I love a good competition! How long have you been a gamer? I'd hardly call myself one, mainly because all my friends said I wasn't because I didn't play Call of Duty with them, but I've been playing Sims since I was 7 or 8, so about 16 years. Got any Gaming contacts to befriend some fellow gamers? If so, which ones are you willing to share? Non, really. However, anyone can find me just about anywhere with the tag "Umbrella" or "Umbrellex", especially on GTA.

I'd hardly call myself one, mainly because all my friends said I wasn't because I didn't play Call of Duty with them, but I've been playing Sims since I was 7 or 8, so about 16 years. PFFT, you don't have to play COD to be a gamer! I'm 100% a gamer and I have never played COD in my life! My partner is way more a gamer than me and frustratingly good at every game they play, has only played one COD game and didn't even play it long.

I have run more into deaf people, though rather than blind, but I just love our technology (sometimes), when they're used for good, and I just wanted to share this, here  |

Some of my faves would be Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim, GTA V, Sims, Stardew Valley, Diablo III. My favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy X with honorable mention to X-2. Rpg. About a decade ago I used to be heavy into League of Legends, and whenever I get around to building a gaming PC I'll probably try to get back into it. As for now I sometimes play Mobile Legends on my phone (I don't like LoL's mobile game as much. Controls seem wonky) Basically all my life. So far just on Discord Ravenna #9123 |
