Its only in 2023 (this year), that I have felt so weird about Charmed ending its broadcast 17 years ago.
That is like a whole grown up person! Its sort of freaked me out a little!
For me, I feel like the show only ended about 10 years ago.
To think that its 25 years ago since it first aired is mental.
So much has changed since then and its only now when I watch the episodes that I think of the show in a different era.
Maybe that's because so many significant events have happened or sometimes watching the storylines play out get you thinking - hmmm, I dont think they would have done this that way no!
Its kind of strange to think of Charmed exisiting now, or the Charmed Ones exisiting now in the state of the world that we're in - and I mean even for San Francisico's state. Would the battles even be worth fighting for the sisters given how upside down the world has become!

I put 17 years ago. It really does feel like a long time ago that it ended. It was really important to me when it was airing to catch the new episodes. It was something I looked forward to because I was going through a lot at the time and it helped. So the absence of new episodes for a long time now is pretty apparent for me.
I'm really glad the show was made when it was. Technology has come so far in just the past 20 years that if Charmed were set now, so many of their issues would have been solved with no effort on their part. Then there's also the idea that there are cameras everywhere now, and it would be very hard for them to live in a city and use magic without getting caught. I'm glad it was set in an era that still feels modern and relatable, but before widespread internet usage and everything feeling connected.
Oddly, when I go back and watch it, it's the season 3 and 4 era that feels the most "current," not anything in the latter half of the show. I think that time period really imprinted on me so I always see it as the present.

I feel it makes me feel young still. because I'm keeping a show from my childhood growing up still part of my life.
It does feel like forever ago because I think about my childhood and teen years while being in my 30s now. But it's crazy that it's been 25 years since it started.
I guess it's a different experience if you're a newer fan having only just discovered Charmed 5 or less years ago.

Its only recently started to feel like it was 25 years ago since it aired. Time for rebooted to grow up!

Since I felt like Patty when I first watched the show and later at Grams, it does seem like a long time ago to me. Finding out that Rose turned 50 really makes it seem like a long time go.

It sure does with Rose turning 50 and also hearing that Holly's son Finley who she had during S6's filming is now college aged. That truly shows how much time has passed.

That really does show how much time has passed. I'm sure the oldest fandom ever Star Trek the Original series must certainly feel like ancient compared to us. I'm just happy we are all still here loving Charmed.

It does feel like that long. I guess I put it into the perspective of where I am now: Married with a child verses where I was when I first saw it: A young kid still growing up. Also reading the comments above that Holly's eldest son is now in college, that really makes it feel like a long time ago.

Yeah I think that's what makes it feel like it was so long ago with where you are now in life. I suppose it would be a different case for those newbies fans who only just discovered the show in the last five years verses most of us long-time fans who have been fans for 20+ years. Crazy that Holly's son is in college. That certainly shows its been a long time.

Interesting question. I suppose it depends if your a new fan it will feel all new and not much time passed. But to me having seen it when it originally aired starting with The Power of Two. It feels like a lifetime ago given how old I am now verses then.
I can't believe though that we are only nearly two years away in 2026 from it being 20 years since the show ended. TWENTY YEARS. I mean Chris coming from the future is nearly going to be happening with our real world. That does make it feel old.
Voted feel like more than 17 years.
