Never cared for Alyssa.
Otherwise, I don't care about the actors. It doesn't change my opinion on characters. And their reality is valid and they're allowed to have opinions and speak their truth. None of that taints the show or characters because art is separate from the "real" person for me.

Like Assassin Witch said, it doesn't matter how I feel about the actors/BTS folks like producers, writers, network, etc. I'm here for the show and not them.
Even then, my Faith tells me to "love thy neighbor" and pray for my "enemies". Whether I agree with them or not, I still love them.

I'm not letting the stars and the behind-the-scenes drama get in the way of loving Charmed. Even if I feel differently about the actors, the actors are not the characters. Keep that in mind.

Separate art from artist, sure, but to answer the thread.. Shannen’s still cool, I guess. Holly’s aight. Not too big on her, but if I met her, I’d still be happy I met Piper. Never been too big on Alyssa ever, but again, if I met Phoebe, I’d be happy. Rose, always loved.

I still like Shannen, Holly and Rose. I honestly never really liked Alyssa, like don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy Phoebe as a character for sure but Alyssa I always thought was fake and never really genuine.

I think Shannen has always been the victim
Holly has trauma from parenting her teen parents it seems like
Alyssa Milano is more like a PR and legal machine and she is the face of it
Rose i feel hit her head too hard in the accident she had because shes a completely different person now

Nobody mentions her one night stand with her former Little House on the Prairie Co Star Melissa Gilberts first husband when they were separated but going thru couples therapy at the time. That feud is still going on.

I think Shannen was a young adult at the time like 22and I have no idea how old actor Bo Brinkman was but my guess mid to late 30's. Melissa and him separated for the first time back in '88 cause in '91 Melissa confronted Shannen when they crossed path's backstage at the Emmy Awards about it and Shannen didn't deny the affair and kinda smirked at Melissa and said she always wanted to be like her. |

Shannen was born in 1971. A general date range of 1988-1991 would put her between 16 and 20.
As for why it rarely, if ever, gets mentioned: there's no reason for it be. Melissa Gilbert hasn't been relevant since the mid-80s so if you're under a certain age and aren't a Little House on The Prairie fan or haven't watched the 1980 adaption of The Diary of Anne Frank, you probably don't even know she exists. Also, Charmed fans barely care about Alyssa having a full-on affair with a married Brian Krause so why would they care about Shannen having a one night stand as a teenager with someone who wasn't connected to the show? The fans tend to care far more about who the characters have relations with (well, with Charmed, discussions nowadays seem to be more focused on which characters they wish would have got together rather than those that actually did but I digress) than whomever the people playing them did.
Outside of occasional discussion on the Alyssa-Brian/Shannen-Julian stuff, Rose's relationships were the only ones I ever really remember widespread commentary on from within the fandom. And that was pretty much limited to Marilyn Manson jokes and some expressing disapproval over her affair with Robert Rodriguez circa 07/08.
