Coming from the S6E21 "Witch Wars" re-watch thread, we were having an interesting discussion between Magical Witches vs Practicing Witches, on this show. Which got me on a trail of doing a statistic sheet, similar to some of my other statistics threads. I'd figure I'd post a thread about it:
In S1 we did have witches with powers Serena and Max's mother implied.
Magical Witches
Note: These are witches with actual magical powers and not just practitioners with chanting spells, scrying, potion making, learning powers, etc.
Practicing Witches
Note: These are witches with NO magical powers but are able to chant spells, scry, create potions, etc. Will (also) be considering those called/referred to as "witches", but we don't see them use any powers nor chant any spells/create potions/scry/etc.
Is she even a witch with any powers.
So there is nothing special after this innocent. She has no powers. That's just a normal necklace.
This is what irritates me about other witches in this show that aren't part of Magic School or Billie. They're always like practitioner Wiccan witches.
Sucks, because if they don't have powers, why are they attacked by demons? Just raises too many complicated questions and scenarios. We've seen like 3 other witches with powers, and that may be an overstatement I'm thinking of the witch who turns invisible in A Witch In Time. Shooot, other than that, everyone else is just a weakling without powers.
Can't have them outshine the Charmed Ones with powers can't we. Lol
I don't like how witches are used after S1.

S3E11 "Blinded by the Whitelighter"
1. Witch: Vivian
Power: Deflection
2. Witch: No Name
Powers: Unknown
Note: Eames tells this witch it's not her "powers", he's after. She may have possess a power(s) that we just don't know about, just based off of what Eames said. Take it or leave it.
S3E14 "The Good, the Bad & the Cursed"
Note: Not going to list Isabel as a "magical" witch, in this list. Maybe a "practicing" one, in the other list.
Witch: Bo Lightfeather
Power: Premonitions
Note: I understand Bo is of a different culture, but Phoebe was able to communicate with him through their shared power of premonitions. I'll be generous and count him as "a witch" with powers.

Season Four
S4E4 "Enter the Demon"
Note: These two CAN be counted as more "practitioner witches" but due to certain powers they display in the episode, I put them under "magical witches". It's open for discussion, OFC!
1. Witch: Anling
Note: I'm listing Anling because like some other different culture witches, the episode shows her being immune to Piper's freezing power (like Aviva) and was able to levitate, in limbo?
2. Witch: Zen Master
Note: While as Piper did a magical thing to create a portal from the attic to limbo. Plus, Yenlo insinuates the Zen Master to have some powers I suppose...then again, this episode be all kinds of confusing especially when it refers to Yenlo as a "demon", but the Zen Master says he was "mortally wounded"...so, take this as you will. Hurray for different cultures of magic!
S4E11 "Trial by Magic"
Witch: Stan Provazolli
Power: Premonitions
Note: He may not actively use his powers of premonitions, but I don't think that changes what he is.
S4E12 "Lost & Bound"
Witch: Tyler
Power: Firestarter
Note: Despite him binding his powers, he could always unbind his powers and use them, later.
Sub-Total: 4Note: These two CAN be counted as more "practitioner witches" but due to certain powers they display in the episode, I put them under "magical witches". It's open for discussion, OFC!

Season Five
S5E5 "Witches in Tights"
Witch: Kevin
Power: Projection
Note: Despite being an Elder, now, most of his episode run (and life) is him having the power of projection. And, Arnon (despite being a demon) did train Kevin to utilize his power of projection.
S5E8 "Witch in Time"
Witch: No Name
Power: Invisibility
Note: Sucks she doesn't have a name, but she has a really cool power!

Season Six
S6E5 "Love's a Witch"
Note: Not every family member (on either side) will have a magical power. I'll list those family members, later on, in the "practicing" witch category.
1. Witch: Richard Montana
Powers: Conjuring, Energy Ball, Fading, Telekinesis
2. Witch: Steve Montana
Power: Energy Ball
3. Witch: James Callaway
Power: Energy Ball
4. Witch: Roy Callaway
Power: Energy Ball
5. Witch: Burt Callaway
Power: Energy Ball
S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell"
Note: Will NOT list the "Levitating Student", as it was a learned power and not something born with nor will I list Enola as being "magical", unfortunately, maybe a "practicing" witch, later on.
1. Witch: Zachary
Power: Telepathy
2. Witch: Herman
Power: Conjuring
3. Witch: Mrs. Winterbourne
Power: Astral Projection
4. Witch: Slick
Power: Shapeshifting

S7E2 "The Bare Witch Project"
Witch: Duncan
Power: Conjuring
S7E8 "Charmed Noir"
Note: Taking Eddie's word for it, that only Dan came up with the idea of the "Crossed, Double-Crossed" world, and Eddie was "only along for the ride".
Witch: Dan Mullen
Power: Projection, possibly? Whatever power created the "Crossed, Doubled-Crossed" world
S7E19 "Freaky Phoebe"
Witch: Mitchell
Power: Hyper Speed
Note: He may reject his power, but that doesn't mean he's "not a witch".

S8E17 "Generation Hex"
Note: I'mma apply this same note, for BOTH of these witches. We don't really see these witches use ANY kind of magical powers other than the typical spell casting/chanting.
1. Witch: Jen
2. Witch: Ryan
Sub-Total: 2

S3E4 "All Halliwell's Eve"
Note: I will NOT include family lineage like Charlotte, but I'll list her midwives.
1. Witch: Eva
2. Witch: Sally
S3E14 "The Good, the Bad & the Cursed"
Witch: Isabel
Note: I'm ASSUMING Isabel MAY be a "practicing" witch, since her brother is magical. This is me being generous.
S3E17 "Pre-witched"
Witch: Ariel
Note: Yes, Ariel managed to float some candles, but Shadow broke her chant which caused the candles to no longer stand which is why I don't believe spellcasting makes you a magical witch. As Phoebe's powers were taken from her in S6E19 "Crimes & Witch Demeanors", so from S6E19 "Crimes & Witch Demanors" to S7E5 "Styx Feet under", Phoebe was nothing more than a practicing witch, like the rest on this list, but I digress.
S3E20 "Exit Strategy"

S5E6 "The Eyes Have it"
Note: I will NOT count Lydia utilizing the evil eye as being "magical". I will classify her as "practicing", still. Yes, these ladies are of a different culture but as Lydia said, they're "sister traditions", so there you go.
1. Witch: Lydia
2. Witch: Ava
3. Witch: Tereza
S5E10 "Y Tu Mummy Tambien"
Witch: Sandra
Note: Didn't last long, but Isis uses "powerful witches" to be her new host, and Sandra seems to be your typical/average "practicing witch" than a "magical one".

Witch: Eve

S6E5 "Love's a Witch"
1. Witch: Richard's Mother
Note: We never actually see Richard's mother use ANY magical power, but she did carry around a tray of potions, so she could just be more of a practitioner than a witch with magical powers like her sons Richard and Steve.
2. Witch: Olivia
Note: It's unclear if Olivia actually has any magical powers or not. I'll play it safe and assume she was a practicing witch vs a magical one. Being a ghost is different.
3. Witch: Richard's Father
Note: Like his wife, never saw him use any magical powers but could be a practicing witch. I'll take Richard's word for it, that his entire family are witches. Probably a mix of magical and practicing.
4. Witch: Grandma Callaway
Note: Unknown if she has magical powers or not. Gonna play it safe and call her a practicing one, for now.
S6E9 "Little Monsters"
Witch: Derek
Note: He made himself into "the Beast", when he said he just started mixing up potions and studying.
S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell"
Note: I will NOT list the "levitating" student.
1. Witch: Enola
Note: Enola never truly displays a power, as the wolf was merely in Phoebe's head, as Sigmund said. I believe Enola was chanting for Phoebe to see her, but I digress.
2. Witch: Quentin
Note: His "power" (if he has any) was never mentioned. Assuming he's just a "practicing witch".
S6E21 "Witch Wars"

S7E8 "Charmed Noir"
Witch: Eddie Mullen
Note: I'm taking Eddie's word for it, that he didn't actually create the "Crossed, Double-Crossed" world but is a practicing witch and would explain his inadequacy in comparison to his brother who has this amazing power to create this "Crossed, Double-Crossed" world.
