Tomorrow evening in France, a channel will broadcast a documentary on Shannen, the first four episodes of Charmed, and her first episode in Little House on the Prairie. Her death affects a lot of people, it's rare for a channel to do that for a TV actress, for a woman. I'm proud of her. Last night I watched the three episodes she directed and then I wanted to see Hell Hath No Fury, it was hard. A Documentary that's very cool. I've never seen that happen much for an actor/actress passing. Especially at such short notice to put a doc together that fast. I think France has a much bigger Charmed fanbase than the country it was made in. Wish I lived in France. Any French members here. If so please let us know what the documentary is like for Shannen. |

It is strange, just like it was when we started watching Season 4 without her. Same boat. It's like twice. I feel over-active at the moment on this board but I just had the thought that one day all four leads would have passed on. Hopefully thats not for a very long time but one-by-one there will be announcements of other cast members who will be leaving us especially given their high profiles with the #metoo movement and iconic 90's-ness. I can't believe someone i never met has had such an impact on me growing up. 53  , similar to Matthew Perry, a star from my 2nd favourite TV show. I admired Prue's character when I first started watching Charmed, as i too, was the responsible older sibling and admired her strength and ability to work through her trauma as a woman during the 3rd wave of feminism. |

I feel over-active at the moment on this board but I just had the thought that one day all four leads would have passed on. Hopefully thats not for a very long time but one-by-one there will be announcements of other cast members who will be leaving us especially given their high profiles with the #metoo movement and iconic 90's-ness. I can't believe someone i never met has had such an impact on me growing up. 53 , similar to Matthew Perry, a star from my 2nd favourite TV show. I admired Prue's character when I first started watching Charmed, as i too, was the responsible older sibling and admired her strength and ability to work through her trauma as a woman during the 3rd wave of feminism. We're all grieving, in our own different ways. We're the only ones who understand this loss. Unfortunately, Prue was never my favorite character. In fact, she was my least favorite, out of the four. And then, I got older LOL I still like Phoebe & Paige over Prue, but Prue > Piper, now. But, even if I didn't like her character, I still like Shannen because I felt like she acted the best out of the four. I followed her onto "Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty", even if that show sucks LOL And, I've seen some of her movies, too. I wish I could like Prue as much as others, I just don't. But, again, I like Shannen. It's the whole separating the art from the artist, thing. It's just abrupt of her to go after she was steamrolling all these podcasts for fans, and they just drove off a cliff because of this. Without her, I don't think the podcasts would receive such positive reviews, if she didn't push for more of a professional setting and now she's gone, and I don't trust anyone else to organize these podcasts as well as she did. And, also, we're never get all four together. And, I don't really want a recreation of her, that I've seen Star Wars do with Princess Leia in Rogue One. It's awkward. |

Here's hoping the other three leads live long lives and are with us for the next few decades. *touch wood*
It just makes you think of Morality and our lives.
The 30th anniversary in 2028 will be pretty sad without Shannen. Wishful thinking the other three can't come together. Maybe Shannen's passing will heal Rose and Alyssa's issues. But if not. So be it.

It would be in poor taste to attempt that now once she's gone. It's like really??? Now you use her image once Shannen's gone for a Charmed Revival. I just don't like CGI for someone who isn't even alive anymore in real life. I have this weird feeling they'll still push one in tribute to Shannen. But I really don't see Rose caring. She seemed pretty disinterested in it unless Shannen was included. |

Charmed was more popular than Buffy. I'm not from France, but I might as well be because I'm a walking France non-stop talking about this show LOL Even people who don't know anything about Charmed nor the actors will KNOW that I like this show, upon meeting me because I never shut up about this show LOL My non-Charmed friends time how long I can go WITHOUT making a Charmed reference, it's yeah...LOL |

Though, IDK which show is more popular in the states, Buffy or Charmed. I think Buffy by a slight margin. Buffy was always a bit darker than Charmed. Charmed's S3-S4 was closest to the "Buffy" vibe. Charmed is a little too "cult-ish" compared to Buffy's popularity, here in the states. At least, what I've noticed.
Plus, Buffy had the Angel spin-off, while Charmed didn't really have that. IK some (not all) like to think S3-S8 or even S4-S8/S5-S8 is the "spin-off", but it's not the same level as the two separate shows airing at the same time, like Buffy and Angel.

I think Friends is leaps and bounds more bigger than either from a media side. But when it comes to fans/cons, I think Star Trek kills all of the above. |

Last night on the daily news they reported that the actress playing Brenda/Prue had died of long-term cancer. With pictures of Prue ending with her let's be clear instagram page saying she was very active. (This evening a French (pay) channel will play the first 4 episodes of Beverly Hills.) |

Shannen was close with Holly's kids too basically their aunt. Very hard for her. The tributes were lovely. |

RIP. This hit me so hard. Prue never came back after S3. Hate to say it but I really am not sure if I can rewatch the end of S3 and start of S4. It hits harder now. Shannen was amazing as Prue. My childhood just died a little today. I hadn't even thought about rewatching it differently but it made me feel sad watching That 70s Episode with my nephew this morning. My Mom was saddened too from her memories of Little House on the Prairie and 90210. I can feel my childhood heart breaking in the 90s knowing this day would finally really come in real life too. Thank you so much Shannen for what your gave us. Thank you for bringing my family closer together! Never give up! Same! My childhood Is hurting. Still surreal. Thanks Shannen for being the force that got us all together with Charmed and why we are here. No Charmed if she wasn't attached to it from the start. |

I really nice tribute video from a youtuber who has uploded many remastered clips over the years and compiled this one too.
I couldnt watch the whole thing and had to look away. It was so emotional.
Literally the sadness I feel is the adult version of how I felt as a kid when the character of Prue died.
