Now when I look back I think about how weird it was that Phoebe wasn't sexually active or in a situationship in S1 and most of S2.
I think Phoebe and Dan playing Samantha and Darren Stevens in a BeWitched way would have been comedic for a Season, rather than painfully heartbreaking for Dan in S2.
Piper and Leo could have then stuck to their forbidden love interest stoyline and Prue could have remained Single Hot Witch until S4.
Connie didn't want Phoebe to have love term love interests for Phoebe if I am correct. I think Lori would have followed that direction but when Alyssa came in, she changed the direction of the character and gave Phoebe levity that the storyline needed and made her character and Piper's, equal to Prue's as well as the star power changing the dynamic with Shannen Doherty
Anyway, I just thought it was weird that Phoebe was the most spontaneous and free spirited that I find it hard to believe that she wasn't in a intimate relationship with someone or perhaps that happened off screen in S1?

I like the concept of her being a "serial dater", as that fits the "free-spirited" archetype, of her character. It made sense for her to begin "settling down", after a couple of seasons. 'Cause she even says in S2E11 "Reckless Abandon" she wanted to get her life in order before she "settles down" and becomes a mom (despite loving kids). And, in the next episode, she gets accepted into a college, and the episode after we see her in class. If that's what she meant by "getting her life together", probably meant her getting a college degree, as that was an important aspiration for her, in the Prue Era. Along with getting a proper job because finding a man, wasn't too difficult, for Phoebe, at the time. Until Cole really screwed her over, along with being a witch, so I get it. I felt the same way before "settling down" and becoming pregnant. Wanted to sort out my life, first.

I see why the writers didn't. It sounded like they wanted one sister single. Ideally maybe Piper and Phoebe should've switched or even have Prue the single one.
I do like diversity among the sisters. Not all three dating or in series relationship ls in S1 and S2.

Even if I reduce down Phoebe's list, Phoebe still had more one-off BFs than Piper. I see why the writers didn't. It sounded like they wanted one sister single.
