Which actress would you have recast from the beginning ?

If you had to Which actress would you have recast from the beginning.

Been thinking about this lately given SD and HMC's relationship being so tight and whether that was a good thing overall. It sure gave them good chemistry on set. However, I think Holly has had friendship relationship issues  where she hasn't managed them so well. Not saying that others haven't been shes been the most left and right when its come to friendships on and off set.

I voted Holly. I sometimes feel casting two best friends in the parts maybe hurt the show. I do wonder had we had three leads who all didn't know each other, if maybe things would've been different. Could Shannen and Alyssa have had a different relationship without Holly being the one stuck in the middle between her BFF and new friendship with Shannen.

I still think Shannen and Alyssa were the big draw cards and it may not have been a success without either.

I voted Holly & in turn we wouldn't have had Shannen 'cause she would've quit, if Holly couldn't be accepted. I still think Alyssa would've drew in the numbers as much as Shannen. I still like Rose McGowan. The third person, I was thinking Brittany Murphy, who was still around, at the time.

I really don't think Shannen would've stayed if Holly didn't make it.

Yeah, for sure Shannen quits if Holly isn't part of it.

Alyssa was a big draw card. Yeah I get it was marketed around Shannen prior to Alyssa being cast but it would still be a success with Alyssa on her own.

I really wonder how Rose being part of it from the start would've gone like. She'd be a big draw too from Scream and other 90s films.

Charmed was a great concept. I think it would've done well so long as the writing and chemistry was there.

Yeah I agree. 

I feel like a Jennifer Love Hewitt would have been amazing in the middle or someone at that calibre of celebrity where they all knew each other before hand but not like bff's. 

Bringing Holly in as another character would have been interesting - like the Aviva character reoccurring or a manager at quake.

No disrespect to Holly at all, she helped carry the show in the later years. But then also how Brian Krause was chosen to stay because HMC and BK were friends as well... it all got a little to close personally which would have changed things professionally.

I appreciate friends sticking up for friends ie Shannen for Holly & Holly for Brian. At the same, though, your audience is what's gonna keep your show going, not your friends.

I would pick Alyssa, while I love her as Phoebe, I think the actress is far too childish. Plus it would have been interesting to see Lori Rom continue as Phoebe.

Agreed. Not to mention how too personal things got with them all dating each other.

Honestly, rebooted helped opened up my eyes to Holly's instigating ways. I think if Holly wasn't around, the Shannen vs Alyssa "feud" wouldn't have been as bad as it was. I think Holly did have a hand in making it bigger than it actually was. And, her behavior towards the Reboot has me scratching my head, a little bit. Holly was nothing but hostile towards the Reboot, while Alyssa was a bit more professional about it.

I used to like Holly. Like I said, it was rebooted who opened up my eyes to Holly's dishonesty or flip floppy behavior. I even used to like to Piper but discussions with others members changed my mind about it. I actually don't like Alyssa, either unrelated to the show. In fact, I used to hate Phoebe but not anymore LOL I think there's still old posts around here, made by me, of me complaining about the Phoebe character xD

I am able to change my mind, if others give convincing arguments from their stances, OFC. Likewise, I've slightly (not a lot) lessened some (not all) of the S6 hate, with my stance on it. We all help each other

I personally feel Shannen may have been the problem in that. I love Shannen don't get me wrong but the fact that two shows simultaneously got rid of Shannen (Beverly Hills and Charmed) has me scratching my head

I think Shannen is very vocal and a lot of higher ups don't like being called out on their BS. Which is why I'm leaning towards Shannen calling out the BS of the show changing but because she's not a producer, she probably was told to "stay in her lane".  And, when she didn't "stay in her lane", they fired her.

The only thing I like about Holly was her friendship with Shannen. Even though she sounds like someone who loves the attention and flip flops where the wind blows. Alyssa I never cared for. I like Phoebe. I think Piper and Holly I'm meh on both now.

I'm slowly more devoted to show characters more than stars 100%. We are all here cause of the show and lore than the actresses.

If I was working, I'd keep my mouth shut in front of my bosses to be honest. Whilst being outspoken is not a bad thing, if it gets me fired, I'm sorry but I'm the problem here.

Also firing her on Charmed made her the easier scapegoat to fall on due to prior media press from 90210. Easier story to sell to press verses Alyssa who had a whole lawsuit against the show allegedly.

The male crew don't like women telling them how to run their show. Poor Connie was pushed out cause of it.

I totally get it. I (also) understand Shannen's perspective because I believe Shannen was (also) team Constance, who's the creator of the show but was being bullied by Connie's fellow Executive Producers into changing the show in a different direction than what Connie's vision entailed. To the point that Connie got demoted down to "Consulting Producer" from "Executive Producer". Before she left, entirely, after S4 ended. Again, talking about the friends defending friends. Connie & Shannen were more concerned with telling a story meanwhile other crew members were more concerned with viewership numbers.
