Who says a spinoff is impossible? Demons are still crawling the earth, and will most likely still find ways to attack the Charmed Ones' offspring.
I think they ended it the way they did to give us closure in the event that Charmed doesn't ever get resurrected in some form.

LOL, you could have a point there. But Frasier was even more popular than Cheers. Some spinoffs are great; others are fantastic. But I would've liked to see them try. Especially if it had been about Paige's family with the other two visiting. Of the three at the end, her family looked the most interesting. As a half-whitelighter helping out other witches, it would be a lot more interesting than the usual "Ultimate Evil" crap we got with the later seasons of Charmed (Wyatt-Avatars-Zankou-Billie/Christy )And especially because we don't see her and Henry as old, we'd never know when they're going to die, the way we know Piper and Leo would survivie. LOL, I'm laughing at myself. I just proved that maybe they DID leave the door open for a spinoff! Just not for one about Piper and Leo. And since that's the *last* one I'd want to see, that's fine with me!

Well there we go. Very interesting reads i Never knew there would be so many ppl that were obsessed, i guess i was wrong. I only learned of this site bout half an hour ago as i watched the extras on the last episode of the 8th series which i bought the other week on DVD. After just finishing the finale i was in tears and loved every moment but however i too was a bit disappointed they didn't bring back Prue and in a way i missed seeing Cole as well.

well, i *do* have to agree that Paige's family would have the most interesting spinoff (if there was one) considering the magical stuff!

I totally agree!
I am well aware there has been talk of a Charmed Sons spinoff but my idea has to do with ALL of the "offspring"...Paige's children, Pheobe's Children (which should be interesting considering the father is a Cupid)
There are probably still lots of demons to be had out there and as long as the Halliwell bloodline is still around...some evil entity is out there to get them.

a spin-off is possible! and with that it could be proved whether or not piper did have a daughter!

a spin-off is possible! and with that it could be proved whether or not piper did have a daughter! Not really. The spinoff could start off with only Wyatt and Chris with no mention of a sister, then in season 4 or 5 or whenever the writer could drop the Wyatt and Chris have a sister bomb.

that is true, but even if there was a W/C spin-off *if* there was a melinda then, it would probably be mentioned some point in the series!

Yep, and I'd find it hilarious if we found out that although it's true that Piper and Leo have a daughter, since this is a different timeline than the Morality Bites one (no Prue), Piper instead named her daughter after her older sister and best friend, so you'd have Wyatt, Chris and Prue! That way Prue would *finally* get the attention she so rightfully deserves!
Unless Phoebe named one of her daughters Prue, of course. And *if* one of Phoebe's daughters could move things with her mind, one could freeze time and one could see the future, they'd be three sisters descended from Melinda Warren who could harness the Power of Three -- the next set of Charmed Ones!
But I still think Paige's family would be the most interesting. The other two are too much "been there/done that" during the parent show, Charmed. You'd want the spinoff to be totally different, since those are the spinoffs that tend to do the best, since most of the best storylines are already used up in the parent show. Maybe *that's* why they thought that Billie would make the best spinoff. BARF! I don't believe I typed that!

I would have to say that the biggest disappointment for me was that it was the finale. I know thats sort of cheating but it is my biggest disappointment.

uhhh.. sorry to get frustrated but it WAS NOT going to happen! the whole "wish prue was there" thing is starting to really annoy me! there were many factors (legal, personal, monitary and such) involved that were just too confusing and not enough to pull it together.

People need to seriously get over the fact that SD wasn't there for the finale. Yes it is childish that BK and SD won't stop the figthing but it is there choice. So I think that people need to get over it. I thought the finale was great even though Prue/SD wasn't there!!!

I personally thinks it is more heartbreaking for us that have watched the show from the beginning episode to the grand fianle. Also it was a very very well made ending and it embraced the ideas that we have viewed throughout the show, family and the power of three would live on no matter how big the battle. That it what all the episodes portrayed throughout the entire running times from year one to year eight they WERE and WILL ALWAYS be the UNDEFEATED Charmed Ones!!!! Blessed Be!!!

I find it strange that finale epiosde Wyatt acted as if he didn't know who Penny (his great-grandmother) was.
She shows up once a year for the entire series and must have been there for the birth ceremony of Piper's daughter.
For Wyatt to not know her is just insane.

Yes, but when did adult Wyatt ever meet Grams? I mean Elder. My parents can tell me that I met my great-grandfather whilst he was living and bed-ridden in my grandmother's house. However, since I was probably about 3 years old, I have no memory of this. I do remember the house was spooky! And, it was really fun to slide down the carpeted steps.

Well, presumably in the future, you'd think Piper would summon a spiritual incarnation of Grams so she could interact with her great-grandchildren (Future Wyatt, Future Chris, and Future Melinda).

That Prue wasn't there. Season eight would have been an amazing season to play with the whole "power of four" thing.
Resurrect Prue as a gift from the Elders after all the scarfices and good the sisters have done but in order for her to remain alive, all four will have to battle an Ultimate force like they have never seen before, which could be Christy and Billie.
