I agree that due to Supernatural (and probably Heroes) that both a Charmed movie and a spinoff featuring the boys is highly unlikely. Personally, I'd prefer either a prequel featuring Penny, Patty, Victor, Sam, little Prue, little Piper, little Phoebe, little Andy and baby Paige or one featuring Paige and her family--of the three scenarios, hers looked the most interesting, especially because it could've opened up the door for us to be able to see what happened to other witches and future whitelighters. But with the way they wrapped everything up in Forever Charmed, it would be hard to come up with something regarding the sisters and their family with any drama--we already know what the ending would be. It was what hurt me the most about Forever Charmed, the fact that the door was figuratively and literally closed. Or was it? The only ones we saw as old were Leo and Piper. We only saw Phoebe and Paige as young, both in the flash-forwards and on the wall. We never even saw their kids as teenagers, much less as adults, the way we saw Wyatt and Chris. Piper said something about the fact that despite the struggles and the heartaches, the Halliwells would always be a family of survivors, forever charmed. It's those "stuggles and heartaches" that has my curiosity up and that I think would make the most interesting movie. What happened to Paige, Phoebe, Henry, Coop, Phoebe's three girls and Paige's son and twins? Even what happened to Piper's little girl and why isn't *she* up on the wall? And how did Piper ever survive that much loss so she and Leo could survive long enough to be able to enjoy their grandkids? Certainly demons would be part of it and so would fantastically spectacular special effects. Nowaday, in order to do a movie, you would need to have them. Undoubtedly it would be *another* Ultimate Evil that they'd have to battle. But what happened to Phoebe and Paige?? That's what I think would make an interesting movie. I agree that it will probably be awhile before shows like that come in vogue again. And with how expensive such shows are to make, it might take even longer. The only reason why Star Trek came back is because after one studio had such a huge hit with Star Wars, Paramount decided to bring back their their own space-show. And the popularities of those movies is what spawned The Next Generation and all the other spinoffs. I truly think something like that is what would get us a Charmed movie and then a possible spinoff. The nice thing about that is that just like the Star Trek movie, the sisters would all be older, so Holly, Alyssa and Rose wouldn't have to spend a lot of time in makeup trying to look older, because they'd *be* older!

If they made a charmed movie....I think they would have to have more then one.............I say that because i think that if someone who never watched charmed wanted to see this movie they would not want to see something that ended off where the show ended.......I'm not saying recreate every episode of charmed....just like put details from every season....and i don't think they would be able to put that much stuff in just one movie

It was what hurt me the most about Forever Charmed, the fact that the door was figuratively and literally closed. Not if you think like a "Hollywoodian" and look on the past episodes of Charmed. The show itself has created a plot that can change the future: Time travel. Something that has been shown several times, where time travel changed the outcome of a seen future. Hollywood are experts in changing things when they start to think time travel as a way to change the future. Oh and the time travel plot of Charmed can also open the door up a little wider for a spin-off serie that also are being talked about here in the forum.

Unless you mean that thanks to time travel that you're going into a totally different world, then have the sisters (and/or sons) go back and we get to see what happens in that totally different world, with no Halliwells, the ending would still be the same--Forever Charmed, since that's what has been established as the sisters' future. No drama. That's what tells me that a spinoff/movie is impossible until 10 or 20 years when they do like what they're doing with so many 60's/70's TV shows--updated versions with totally different casts. So expect to see it in the 2030's or 2040's. Wonder if we'll still be fans then...

What you see of the future in Forever Charmed, i will call: Alternate Future. Alternate futures can always be changed, so that the known outcome wont happen at all. Doc Brown explains his version of it in Back To The Future 2. In a german sci-fi movie named Periode 1, that begins aprox 250 years into the future, they explain it otherwize with alternate futures, where it is a combination of timetravel, travels thrue wormholes and subspace that can change the outcome: The "travel back in time, kill your grandfather as a child and you wont be born" theory, as they called it in the extras to the movie.
You can always change the futures outcome if you want, it has already been done in other series and even on the bigscreen menny times before: Star Trek, Stargate SG1, Back To The Future, Timecop, Charmed... the list is long of productions that had alternate futures and eventual futures, so Charmed does not have to be Forever Charmed as the last episode showed, it can always be changed "Hollywood style".
At the end of Back To The Future 3, Doc Brown also does tell this to Marty and Jennifer: The future is not yet written, it is what you make of it.

Given that idea, I'd love to see all of Season 8 be the fantasy that Piper has as she burns on the stake... Hence the reason why the whole thing was SO Piper-centric, including her surviving an explosion that her powers couldn't protect her from, the way Paige could've panic-orbed out! And the movie is about how she gets there and how her family tries to save her! There's MY fantasy! And THAT would give you a TON of drama!

There are so many people saying they would like to see a movie i am one of them, but to make a movie that will get people who have never seen the show watch it, to go and see it or to even understand will be hard. The movie would go on for hours and hours and that will be even b4 they get to main bit. they would have to tell the story so far i.e. the start of the charmed ones, they family history, they powers, demons the death of they mother and grams, what they are trying to save, what is a white-lighter, the death of pure and they new sister Paige, etc i think i can go on all night anyway u get the picture. these are all fine for us we don't need to know all this because we have followed them all the way to the end but to get new followers it would take forever they would have to make the movie into a trilogy. not a good idea.

Oh, I think a trilogy could be lots of fun! And if they can come up with a movie for The Fugitive and for Mission Impossible and for Charlie's Angels and for UNDERDOG, for Pete's sakes, and make it so people who never watched those shows could quickly catch on and enjoy it, I think they could do that for Charmed. If they wanted to! That's the problem. I don't think they want to.

Not to forget Bewitched, who also made it to the movies. What do you know: A tv serie with witches that made it to the big screen, dont give up hope yet on Charmed

Man, I love Charlie's Angels. Mind you, the movies are better than the show. The girls in the show are too useless for my liking. Except, I really LOVE Kelly Garrett. She was my favourite of the 70s Angels.
Anyway, would we fans really allow someone else to play our Charmed Ones?
Oh and Bewitched... what a terrible movie. I wish it had been a remake of the show.

Now you know why I've never seen the Charlie's Angels movie--I loved *all* the TV angels and didn't want to see it redone. Ditto for Mission Impossible. But, oh, The Fugitive! One of my familes' favorite shows during the 70's--we'd get together every Tuesday night at 8:00 Central to watch it! And yet, I love the movie-version even more.
I think it would depend upon who they chose to play the roles and what exactly they did with the stories. Like I think they did a fantastic job choosing the actors to play the actors in Bewitched and I *loved* the idea of it being about doing the show. I wouldn't mind them doing that for Charmed at all. Just so it would be about the sisters, not Leo or Cole or one of the other guys, the way that one was about Darren. That's what I *didn't* like about that movie.

You think that now, but you might change your mind in 20-30 years, just so you can see Charmed. I sure have for a lot of my favorite 60/70's shows! I'm even looking forward to THe Bionic Woman and I *loved* Lindsay Wagner in that role.

Now don't get me wrong. I would *prefer* if we get a movie or spinoff earlier with the current cast, or even if the current cast agreed to do one in 10-20 years, when the characters are all 10-20 years older.
I just don't think we're going to, and getting to have it this way in the future is better than none at all. And if it especially meant we could see it done by someone besides the WB and besides Brad Kern, well, I'm all for it!

i believe that it would depend on what time period it would be taking place in because if teh sisters are supposed to look in thier 20-30's then i would want them to look that way!!

Precisely. Then you'd save on all the makeup to try to make them look younger or older. ANd it would be interesting to find out what their lives would be like that much into the future, with their husbands and kids and occupations and demons and...
Especially if that truce was really in effect and now it's over...

Sorry, Esmerelda, but I don't want anyone other than the original actresses themselves playing the Halliwells.
