Right, its not so much the name itself. Its that they must know that every charmed one they have dealt with has held the last name Halliwell so all Halliwells must be Charmed Ones.

I'm not saying they're afraid of Wyatt's surname by itself. They are afraid of Wyatt's power, and (because of Wyatt's power) his surname, by association, becomes psychologically threatening to them as well.

Some of them probably do, but it doesn't matter because they still realize she's a Charmed One and part of the Warren/Halliwell family line.

The Triad had managed to get some really detailed information on the sisters between Seasons 2 and 3, which they had passed on to Cole.

If that is possible, then I also believe its possible for other demons to learn that Paige's surname is Matthews.

That only tells me that Paige being a Charmed One is more important to them than what her surname is.

Well, the Power of Three can do some real damage when together. Even by themselves, they pose a real threat to whoever tries to cross them. So if I were a demon I'd be scared of Paige too.

Meanwhile Jack or Allen gets to have his name handed down - except through Paige - instead.

On the bright side for Victor, it makes it harder for demons to track him down (as a way to use him as leverage against Piper and Phoebe).

Matthew Tate went after other Halliwells, but yeah, I don't get how baddies don't go after family (expect immediate) and friends.

Matthew Tate went after other Halliwells, because he was looking for Melinda's descendants with that name - thanks to the vague information provided by Rex.

Ah ok see I need my DVDs back, I knew those demons intentions had something to do with Victor. But that was my point there was an incident in which demons were after victor regardless of weather the intentions were to kill him, use him etc... in a way then I was right they were after Victor for the purpose of getting the book.

I was referring to less-savvy demons who may peruse the phone book and be unable to find a "Victor Halliwell" (or other "Halliwells" living in San Francisco who may theoretically be related to the Charmed Ones) so they can use a fully mortal relative against the Charmed Ones as leverage.

Since Victor would be listed in the phone book as "Victor Bennett," demons not already in the know would need to do a lot of research to track him down.

Not that I can recall...but they always could hatch a plan to kidnap Victor, sometime down the road. To use as leverage against Piper, Phoebe, or Victor's grandchildren.

is everyone forgeting the season 8 premier when at the funeral the demon paul haas is questioning victor knowing well and truly who he is and later gose after victor to lure the charmed ones out of hiding, victor only dosen't get hurt because the charmed ones morph into him and wyatt and kill a bunch of demons
