*Hey peoples! what's happening? well this is my newest story, part of a series i have written. hope you enjoy. I Have Eyes Only For You Sequel to:
Rite of Passage ************** Chapter One “Now!” Paige yelled; Chris swung his arm and the demon flew into the wall. Phoebe jumped into the air and kicked him back. The demon swung a fist at her, she blocked it and threw a left hook, but the demon sent her across the room, causing her to crash on the table. The demon growled and threw an electricity ball at Zoey; she shimmered and appeared behind him. She held her hand up and blasted him with a gust of wind. The demon fell onto his back. Piper threw a potion vile at him but he rolled out of the way and sent her across the room with his telepathic powers. The demon swung his arm and caused both Chris and Zoey to fly through the conservatory windows. The demon roared, Paige threw a potion vile at him and he exploded.
“Is everyone alright?” Phoebe asked getting up and dusting her self off.
“All in one piece here,” Piper replied.
“Ditto,” Paige replied. “Oh, Chris and Zoey.”
The three of them ran out into the backyard; Chris was sprawled out on his back and Zoey was on her stomach.
“Leo!” Piper yelled from inside.
Leo orbed in, “Piper, this isn’t a good time, the elders and I-”
“Chris and Zoey need your help,” she explained.
Leo rushed over to Chris; he was bleeding from the head and was unconscious. Leo healed him then moved on to Zoey.
“She isn’t breathing,” Phoebe stated as she held Zoey’s hand. Leo knelt over her, a big shard of glass had dug deep into her left side, and blood had stained a good potion of her white tank top. Leo took the shard of glass out of her side; Piper, Phoebe and Paige winced. More blood spilled out of Zoey’s side creating a small puddle on the grass. A goldish light shone brightly from Leo’s hands, after a while Zoey gasped and sat up.
“What happened, and there’s a lot of blood, my blood? That’s a lot of blood. Oh wow,” she glanced at the grass, “did I mention that that’s a lot of blood?”
“Zoey calm down,” Leo said. “You, you sort of died.”
Zoey’s eyes widened, “Died? What do you mean by sort of died?”
Leo laughed nervously, “It was only for a minute or so. In fact, you didn’t completely die, you only stopped breathing, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to heal you since white lighters can’t heal the dead.”
“Yeah…I’ve got to go.”
“Zoey, wait,” Paige said catching up with her. “I know how shocking and scary it is to find out that you almost died, but the thing is, you’re alive and that’s what’s important.”
“I know, it’s just, well, scary and also at the same time I don’t know what to think about it. I’m late for work.”
Paige smiled and Zoey began to leave. “Uh, Zoey, you might want to change your shirt.”
“Right,” Zoey checked her watch.
“Come on, I’ll lend you one of mine.”
“Thanks.”
End of Chapter One

Chapter Two “And that concludes our meeting, I hope you’ll all have a good day,” Jason concluded. As the newspaper editors walked out of Jason’s office, Phoebe walked in. “Phoebe, what are you doing here? I thought I gave you the day off,” he said then kissed her once on the lips.
“I know, but I was wondering if maybe we could have lunch or coffee, there’s a really good shop across the street.”
Jason smiled apologetically, “I really wish I could, but I have a lot of work to do and a meeting with the German consultant of-”
“The corporate office in Europe,” Phoebe finished.
Jason kissed her forehead, “I’ll call you?”
“You better.” Paige orbed in behind him. “Oh my goodness!”
“What?” Jason asked looking behind him. “Paige, hi.”
“Hey Jason, the back door was open. Am I interrupting?”
“No, call you later.”
When Jason left, Phoebe turned on Paige. “Are you crazy? Someone could have seen you.”
“Sorry, I’ll walk in like a normal person next time, but we’ve got something serious to handle right now.”
“Yeah, well, anymore extravagant entrances like that and I’m going to have serious relationship-”
“Rant on the way there, sister.” Paige grabbed her sister’s hand and the two orbed out. **** “The council?” Phoebe said as she took on a seat on the couch.
“That’s right,” Leo replied. “From what we know, they’re almost like the evil version of elders. This means that we are dealing with extremely powerful beings.”
“Well what do they want?” Piper asked.
“What else?” Chris said, “The Charmed Ones.”
They were all silent, “What do we know about them right now? Like who’s working for them?” Paige said.
“Not sure, there isn’t much news about them,” Leo answered.
“Well you better find out soon, if they’re as powerful as you say they are chances are we might be dealing with a new Source soon. We need to know a.s.a.p.,” Piper said.
Leo nodded and orbed out.
“Well I have to go to the club; Evanescence is coming in,” Piper announced and walked out.
Phoebe sighed.
“What’s the matter sweetie?” Paige asked.
“I was just thinking about how I’m going to tell Jason that I’m a witch.”
“Do you think that it’s the right time?”
“He deserves to know the truth.”
“Agreed.”
**** “So then you like working in the coffee shop?” Chris said as he and Zoey continued down the street. It was becoming dark outside and the streets were busy with rush hour traffic.
“Well besides the fact that I can no longer drink coffee and smelling like different blends of coffee, then yeah. What about you? Did you have a job before becoming a,” she leaned in and whispered, “white lighter?”
“My first job was at a bakery; I was eleven and my foster parents let me work there.”
Zoey smiled, “Aww, how cute. What did you do?”
“I got to cut the cookies with the cookie cutters and wipe down the tables, little jobs like that.” Chris smiled nostalgically.
“Did you get free cookies?”
“All the time.” The two laughed.
“I’d love that, or even better, receiving free ice cream.”
Chris smiled, “You’re the only person I know that love’s ice cream as much you do.”
“It’s the food of the gods in my opinion besides macaroni and cheese. I’m a total dork, I know.”
The two laughed again.
“Zoey,” a voice said from behind.
Zoey turned, “Damien, hey.” She gave him a kiss on the lips, “You know Chris, right?”
“We’ve met before,” Damien confirmed and gave Chris a slight nod of acknowledgement. “Can I talk to you for a second, in private?”
“Be right back,” she said to Chris.
When she and Damien were out of earshot of Chris, Zoey gave him another kiss, this one longer than before. “Hey, what’s up? I thought you were coming back from New York tomorrow,” she said glad to see him.
“What the hell is this?” he demanded.
“What’s what?”
“You and Chris,” he said glancing over at Chris who was buying coffee from a street vender.
“Nothing, he’s just walking me home,” Zoey replied innocently.
“You’ve been hanging around him a lot lately, it just seems like you two are maybe more than just friends.”
Zoey glared at him, “How could you say that? Geeze Damien, we’re just friends, nothing more. I can’t believe you think that I’d do that to you.”
“Sorry, I don’t even know why I said that,” he kissed her forehead. Zoey turned away. He turned her face and kissed her nose, her cheek and then her forehead again and finally her lips.
Zoey laughed and placed her hands on his waist, “Ok, apology accepted.”
He kissed her again, “I’ll call you?”
“Yeah.”
When she got back to Chris he handed her a cup, “Don’t worry, it’s not coffee, its hot chocolate.”
Zoey smiled, “Thanks.”
Chris gave her a look.
“What?”
“Not shy about the public affection are you?” he teased. “From where I was standing that was-”
“Shut up,” Zoey said with a laugh. End of chapter two

Chapter Three “She’s getting to you again,” the old warlock with pale blue eyes stated in a raspy voice.
“She’s not-”
“You’re falling for her again,” the warlock said cutting Damien off. “You promised the council that you-”
“I know what I promised them,” Damien said through his teeth. He was becoming annoyed with the old man.
“Then you know that you must live up to it in order to get your freedom. How much have you done so far?”
“The leech executed her powers, just as planed; she believes everything I say,” Damien looked away from the warlock.
“Put aside your feelings for her, love is a mortal’s weakness and yours since you are a Halfling.” The warlock walked up to him, “Don’t forget where you come from, who you are or what flows through your veins, Alaster.”
“I don’t forget, it’s just-”
“Careful Alaster, the walls can talk. It will be all over soon and you’ll be free and if she can still accept who you are, that is if she lives, then you can have her.”
Damien shimmered out and when he did a young tall man stepped out of the shadows. “He still loves the witch, I can sense it.” The young man said his pupils slit like a snake’s. “How do we know he is still one of us? He hasn’t killed the Charmed Ones yet or the-”
“Patience Michla, he will soon,” replied the old warlock. **** It was the next day and the school halls were crowded with students going to lunch. Zoey was placing her books into her bottom locker when somebody placed their hands over her eyes.
“Guess who,” the voice said from behind her.
Zoey smiled, “Jake.”
“No it’s not,” the boy with black hair and green eyes said quickly. “Guess again.”
“Jake.”
“Try again.”
“Oh I know! Jake!”
Jake took his hands off, “You’re no fun,” he said giving her a sweet smile.
Zoey hugged him, “I’m so glad to see you, how was your trip to Vancouver? How’s your Nana?”
“Vancouver is well, Vancouver. It snowed that last two nights I was there and Nana is feeling better. She says hi and thanks for the care package.
Zoey locked arms with him and the two began walking down the hall, “So, did you miss me?” Jake asked teasingly.
“No not really,” Zoey with a straight face. “Just kidding. When did you get in?”
“About eleven-thirty last night. So what’s new in life?” Jake held open the gate and the two walked off campus and into the street.
“Promise not to get mad?”
Jake sighed, “What’d you do?”
“I got back together with Damien,” she said hesitantly.
“Zoey Marie Aguilar!”
“I know, I know, you think him to be-”
“A jerk and jackal-”
“Jake, come on, just lie if you have to. I don’t want to you to be upset with me.”
Jake nodded, “Congrats,” he said stiffly and overly perky.
“Liar,” Zoey teased. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I ran into Leo three weeks ago.”
“Really?”
Zoey nodded, “I’m really glad you’re back.”
“I’m glad to be back too.”
Damien watched from his car as the two walked off arm in arm. End of chapter three

“Zoey, how are you?” Phoebe said as she let Zoey in.
“Ok and you?”
“Stressed.”
“Work? Guy problems?”
“Mmm, the second one, I have to figure out how I’m going to break the news to Jason that I’m a witch.”
“Who’s Jason?” Zoey asked curiously.
“Oh that’s right, you haven’t met him yet,” Phoebe said. “Jason is my boyfriend whom I’ve been seeing for a little over a year now.”
“And you haven’t told him?”
“Hey, isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? The eldest dishes out the third degree not the youngest,” Phoebe teased.
Zoey made a guilty face, “I haven’t told Jake and we always tell each other everything.”
“Oh Jake, that’s the friend you’re always talking about, right?” Phoebe said handing Zoey a water bottle she took out from the refrigerator.
“Right and I need to find a way to tell him that I’m a witch and I don’t know how to tell him. Do I say ‘Jake, you’ve known me for four-teen years and I always tell you everything, you asked what’s up, well I’m a witch.’?” Zoey sighed, “This so complicated.”
“At least you’re not telling the guy that you think might be the one that he’s been dating a witch for a year.”
The two were silent; a sense of confusion and unsure ness filled Phoebe. “What’s wrong with you and Damien?” Phoebe asked suddenly.
“Huh?”
“Sorry, I’m an empath and I can sense what other people are feeling.”
Zoey, “Oh, interesting. Nothing’s…never mind that since you know that I’m lying.” Zoey sighed, “I’m not sure that I want to tell Damien that I’m a witch. I don’t know how he’ll handle it for one, and lately he seems…different somehow.”
“What do you mean? He’s not hurting you is he?” Phoebe asked now concerned.
“No, it’s nothing like that,” Zoey replied quickly. “It’s just, he’s moodier, like he was before we broke up and doesn’t open up to me; frankly I’m not sure if we’re a couple or friends with benefits.”
Phoebe smiled sympathetically, “Oh sweetie, I know what that’s like.”
“Alright enough of the Zoey’s love life episode, let’s make a deal that we promise to tell them that we’re witches.”
“Deal, let’s just hope they can handle it.”
They laughed.
“What’s so funny?” Chris asked as he entered the kitchen.
“Oh, nothing, we were just having a bit of girl talk.”
Chris nodded.
“So what’s up?” Phoebe asked.
“Nothing much, we still haven’t had much luck with finding out more about the council.”
“The council, what’s that?” Zoey asked.
“They’re like the big bad that the demonic world works for,” Chris explained.
All of a sudden a dark lighter appeared arrow in hand, before Chris could move out of the way the dark lighter shot him. The arrow struck him in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground. The dark lighter laughed then sent a red energy ball at Phoebe; Zoey sent it back with her wind power and the dark lighter ducked.
Zoey blasted him away into the wall with a violent gust of wind. Zoey ran over to him, the dark lighter tried to move, “Ah-ah, don’t even think about it,” she said as she and took out three white crystals from her bag and threw them about her, then stepped away from the dark lighter and placed the last on e on the ground; a shield formed.
“I was going to return them,” she said to Phoebe who was knelt down beside Chris.
Chris was breathing hard and he looked pale.
“What is that thing and why is it after Chris?”
“It’s a dark lighter; they kill white lighters with the poison that’s in the arrow.”
“Did you call Leo?” Zoey asked.
“He’s doing elder business and can’t be contacted,” Phoebe replied.
“Well this is an emergency,” Zoey said.
“Maybe Paige can orb up there,” Phoebe said and left the kitchen to call her sister.
Zoey knelt down beside Chris and stroked his hair, then checked his wound; purple surrounded the area where the arrow entered his flesh. Zoey made to take it out but Chris grabbed her hand.
“Chris, let me help. It we remove the arrow it will stop the entrance of more poison, but it will hurt like the dickens.”
Chris nodded and let go of her hand; she removed the arrow and Chris let out a cry of pain. Zoey wrapped the wound in bandages that she found in the kitchen drawer.
Leo orbed in and rushed over to heal Chris.
Paige orbed in shortly afterwards, “Always have to grab attention, huh, Chris?” she teased.
Chris laughed, “You know it.”
“Alright well I’ve got to go,” Leo said and orbed out.
Phoebe walked up to the trapped dark lighter. “Who sent you?” she demanded.
“I’ll never tell the likes of a witch!” spat the dark lighter.
“Very well then,” Phoebe moved aside and Paige mumbled some magic words. The shield glew vibrantly for a second. Paige then tapped one of the crystals, electricity shocked the dark lighter.
“Who sent you?” Paige reached over and touched the crystal again; once more the dark lighter was shocked, longer this time.
“One more time,” Phoebe said losing her patience, “Who sent you?”
“I’ll never tell you, wench!”
“Find; Zoey, feel like taking out some anger?”
Zoey smiled, “Sure.”
Phoebe turned to the dark lighter, “The crystal is fueled by anger, hope you enjoy.”
Zoey tapped the crystal, the dark lighter screamed and ear piercing scream; his body jolted violently around. Paige, Phoebe and Chris all gave her a look.
“What?” she said innocently. “I’m at an angry stage right now.”
“So are you going to tell us or is she going to have to shock the hell out of you again?” Paige said.
Zoey made to touch the crystal again, “Wait!” the dark lighter cried. “Alaster sent me, I was hired-” the dark lighter burst into flames.
“What just happened?” Paige asked.
“Maybe the council did it,” Chris guessed.
“It doesn’t matter, we got a name,” Phoebe said. **** “Alaster,” Piper read aloud from the Book of Shadows. “A powerful demon classed in the upper hierarchy of the demonic realm. It says that he has been feared by many witches fro the past two-hundred years, yada, yada, yada.”
“Does it say what his-?”
“Oh boy,” Piper said interrupting Paige.
“What?” Phoebe asked concerned by the expression on her older sister’s face.
“It says that he’s killed around 150 witches- probably more now since the book is a bit out dated- each in really gruesome ways. Filleting, ripping the hearts out, strangling and to the demon favorite, stabbing. His stare is hypnotic and he can manipulate the minds of his victims.”
An uneasy silence fell over the five of them.
“Is there a vanquishing spell or potion?” Paige asked.
Piper shook her head, “No, this isn’t good,” she said still staring at the Page.
Phoebe turned to Chris, “Tell Leo what we found out and to check to see if the elders know anything else about this Alaster character, or if he works for the council.”
Chris nodded and orbed out.
Zoey checked her watch, “Eeek! I’m late meeting Jake.”
“Remember the deal!” Phoebe called after her.
“You too!” Zoey shouted back from the stairs.
“What deal?” Piper asked looking at Phoebe suspiciously.
“Zoey and I made a deal that we would tell that certain guy in our lives what we are.”
“So you’re going to tell Jason then?” Paige said.
“Yes, yes I am, and I hope he can still accept me as me.”
“Good for you,” Piper said with a smile. End of chapter four

Chapter five Jason was still buttoning up his shirt when a knock came at the door.
“Phoebe, what are you doing here? I thought we were meeting at the restaurant,” he said as he stepped aside to let her in.
“I know but I really need to talk to you,” she said taking a seat on the couch.
Jason sat down beside her, “This must be something big, you seem extremely nervous.”
Phoebe got up and faced him, “Jason, there’s something that you should know about me.” Jason was about to stand, “No sit, you might want to sit for this.”
“Phoebe what’s going on?”
Phoebe let out a sigh, “There’s not real way to go around this so I’m just going to come out and say it. Jason, I’m a witch.”
Jason smiled, “A sense of humor, what is it that you really wanted to tell me?”
“Jason it’s no joke, I’ll prove it.” She levitated off the ground a few inches. Jason’s eyes widened in shock and he sat back in the couch.
Phoebe was now back on the ground, “No joke,” she said quietly. Jason was silent, “I’ll let myself out.”
**** “Aguilar shoots,” Zoey tossed the basket ball into the hoop, “She scores and the crowd goes wild!” she began to make cheering sounds as if a crowd was cheering and clapping.
“Summer, we can’t let her beat us,” Ronnie said, “It’s two against one.” He passed the ball to his wife, she dribbled it, and Zoey came up to block her from being able to pass the ball to Ronnie.
“Can’t touch this,” Summer said with a laugh.
“Wanna bet?” Zoey grabbed the ball and turned only to have Ronnie run up and steal the basket ball away. Zoey ran after him and jumped onto Ronnie’s back, Summer tackled him from the front.
“No fair!” Ronnie yelled laughing.
“Ronnie, Summer!” a woman with red hair and green eyes said approaching them.
“Lily! Glad you could make it; you remember Zoey?” Summer said.
“Yes, how are you?” Lily said.
“Fine thanks,” Zoey replied.
Lily nodded. “Well let’s get this party started,” Ronnie said.
The scent of inscents filled the house; people were mingling and laughing. Poetry was being recited in the living room and singing was going on in the parlor.
“Who wants refills?” Summer asked filling people’s glasses with more wind. “Ah-ah Zoey, your body is a temple, no littering.”
Ronnie tapped Zoey on the shoulder, “Take a sip, just don’t let Summer know.”
Zoey took a sip of the red wine, “thanks.”
Ronnie patted her head and walked off towards his wife. Zoey smiled as she watched the two begin to dance.
A girl with blonde hair and freckles, around the age of twenty sat down beside Zoey. “Hey Zoey, how are ya?”
“I’m doing fine, and you Leanne?”
Leanne flashed a big smile, “Remember Derek?”
“You mean that guy you brought to the family picnic in the summer?”
Leanne nodded, still smiling. “Well guess what happened?”
“What?”
Leanne thrust out her left hand to reveal a small diamond engagement ring.
“Oh my goodness!” Zoey exclaimed.
“I know!”
Zoey gave Leanne a hug, “When?”
“He proposed three weeks ago and I want you to be one of my brides maids.”
Zoey smiled, “Of course, this is so exciting. Congratulations!”
The two continued on chatting when Zoey was pulled away by Summer. “There’s someone here to see you; in the hall.”
Zoey wondered away from the party and into the hall where Chris was looking a bit nervous.
“Now what is it that you want with her?” Ronnie demanded.
“Look, I just need to talk to her, that’s all,” Chris said a bit annoyed.
“Need, you don’t need anything from my little Zoey. What you need is to find someone your own age.”
“I-It’s not like that, I don’t…I’m not interested in her.”
“So Zoey isn’t good enough for you, is that it?”
“That’s, that’s not what I said. Zoey seems like a great girl-”
Ronnie cut him off, “You know, if you keep playing with her feelings like that, leading her on then falling back, you’re going to have to answer to me and it won’t be pretty. Do I make myself clear?”
Chris looked at him unbelievably.
“Ahem!” Zoey said.
Chris turned towards her, “Zoey, hey,” he said nervously.
Zoey laughed and Ronnie smirked, “I’m only playing with you kid,” he said then turned and walked away.
“Relax, Ronnie does that to all my guy friends,” Zoey assured.
Chris let out a sigh and Zoey laughed again. “You think that was funny?” Chris said.
“I’m sorry but you should have seen your face, you were scared.”
“I wasn’t scared,” Chris said defensively.
“Sure you weren’t,” Zoey said innocently leading him out of the hall and into the kitchen where Summer was busily placing appetizers on a plate.
“Who’s this handsome fellow?” she asked.
Zoey looked around, “Who are you talking about?” she laughed “Summer, this is Chris, Chris this is Summer.”
“Welcome, help yourself to drinks or food.” As she passed by she said to Zoey, “He’s a cutie.”
Chris smiled.
Zoey handed him a coke, “So what’s up?”
“The others wanted me to check up on you.”
“Check up on me, what for?”
Chris looked around nervously.
“Chris, what’s going on?” Zoey asked now becoming concerned.
“Its jut that with-” a couple of people entered the kitchen. “Can we go some place, less crowded?”
“Not a line you want to throw at your friends at a party,” Zoey teased.
Zoey and Chris sat at the top of the stairs, “Continue,” she said when the last couple of people returned to the party.
“Leo found out a bit more on this Alaster character,” he continued. “From the looks of it, he’s real bad news.”
“Well what did he find out? Does he work for the council?”
Chris nodded, “Well he has lately which is strange for a demon as powerful as he; anyways, this thing is going to be hard to vanquish, he gets to know his victims before he kills them.”
Zoey’s eyes widened, “Wouldn’t that put you at the top of his list? That dark lighter came after you,” she said becoming worried.
“Don’t worry about me,” Chris said smiling at her concern. “I’m sure that’s just Alaster’s way to get at the sister’s.”
Zoey nodded, “Well is it any threat right now? Like do we have to do any demon hunting business?”
“No, not for the time being.”
“Good,” Zoey said standing up. “Why don’t you stay for a while?”
“I don’t know,” Chris said as they walked down the stairs.
“Oh come on, it’s ok, the more the merrier. Besides, Summer and I cooked up a storm last night. Stay, please?”
“Alright, only for a while.”
Zoey smiled then noticed Damien turning to walk away.
“Damien,” she called out. “Excuse me for a sec.”
Zoey ran after him, “Damien, wait.”
He turned and glared at her, “Having fun?” he snapped.
“Well I was until a second ago. What’s wrong?”
He laughed, “What’s wrong? I’ll tell you what’s wrong, I come over to surprise you and instead I find that…guy coming down the stairs with my girlfriend. That’s what’s wrong.”
Zoey looked around; a couple of people were staring. “One, it’s not what you think and two, can we go someplace private to discuss this?” she said quietly.
“No because I’m out of here,” he thrust the bouquet of red roses into her arm and left. Zoey’s black cat Bonkers hissed as he passed by.
Zoey sighed and placed the roses down on a shelf.
“Is everything ok, should I go?” Chris asked.
“Please don’t, he’s just being-paranoid. Let me give you a tour of the house.”
End of Chapter five

Chapter six “Aww sweetie,” Piper said placing a big bowl of ice cream in front of Phoebe, “I’m sure he’ll come around, he loves you.”
Phoebe grabbed the spoon out of her sister’s hand and began eating the ice cream out of the carton, “Correction, he loves the normal, non-witch Phoebe.”
Paige sighed, “You can’t think like that, you have to hope for the best.”
Phoebe’s eyes began to water, “It’s been five days since I told him; he hasn’t even come into work, I’m fresh all out of hope.” She laughed and wiped away her tears, “I’m sorry; I really messed this one up, didn’t I?”
“No you didn’t,” Piper said.
“That’s right,” Paige joined in. “If he can’t accept you, that’s his loss because he doesn’t know what he’s giving up.”
Phoebe smiled faintly. A knock came at the door, “could you get that Chris?” Piper said loudly.
“I don’t think he’s back yet,” Phoebe said.
“You don’t think-” Paige began.
The doorbell rang again. “No, Leo would’ve told us. I’ll answer it,” Piper said.
When she opened the door she found Jason carrying a bouquet of flowers.
“Well, well, so after five days of not calling or no communication of any kind, you show up; isn’t that sweet? I’ve got to hand it to you, you’ve got guts.”
“I deserved that,” Jason said. “And I’m sorry for-”
“Don’t you think that you should save that for my sister? Why did you just shut her out like that?”
“Piper who is it?” Phoebe’s voice came from the kitchen.
“A friend of yours.” She left and Phoebe appeared in the door way.
“Jason.”
He handed her the flowers. “Before you say anything, let me say this; I fell in love with you Phoebe, you’re smart, funny, a family person, and beautiful. What’s not to love about you?” I admit I was scared, but that fear turned into love again and I realized that I don’t care what you are, I’m still in love with you and don’t want what we have to end.”
Phoebe smiled, “You mean that?”
“Yeah, I do. I love you.”
She kissed his lips, “I love you too.”
***** The club was crowded with people and the dance floor had couples floating along with the music.
My love must be a kind of blind love I can’t see anyone but you
“This is a nice club,” Zoey said as she glanced around at those dancing around her. Damien had surprised her by showing up on her doorstep with a bouquet of flowers and decided to apologize to her by taking her out to a club he had stumbled upon.
Are the stars out tonight I don’t know if it’s cloudy or bright Cause I only have eyes for you dear
“Yeah, I thought we deserved a change of scenery; we’ve been at P3 almost every week,” he said looking down at her with soft, loving eyes.
The moon may be high but I can’t see a thing in the sky Cause I only have eyes for you
Zoey smiled at him and kissed his lips softly. Her heart raced just like it always did when she was with him. “I like this song,” she said, “then again I love music from the fifties and sixties.”
He smiled, “This is the first song we danced to, remember?” Damien said with a smile.
I don’t know if we’re in a garden Or in a crowded avenue
Zoey laughed, “I remember, I dragged you to the Sadie Hawkins dance. And this was the song that they played.”
“So then, in a way, this is our song,” Damien went on.
You are here so am I Maybe millions of people go by But they all disappear from view
“Our song, how official sounding.” Zoey kissed him again and the dance floor seemed to fade away into nothingness.
And I only have eyes for you

Hola peoples! i am back from break...have been for the week but due to stupid state mandated tests and schedual complications, haven't been able to post. hope everyone had a good easter. and now.....
Chapter seven
Piper was busy feeding Wyatt his lunch when Leo orbed in. “Hey Leo, Wyatt look, there’s daddy.”
Leo smiled and went over and kissed his son’s forehead. “Hey little guy.”
“So what’s up?” Piper asked feeding Wyatt another spoonful of applesauce.
“Is Zoey here by any chance?” Leo asked.
“No, why?”
“I just really need to-” Chris walked in carrying a newspaper. “Chris have you seen Zoey?”
“No,” he said distractedly while opening the newspaper. “But I’ll take a wild guess. Seeing as its only 12:30 and its Tuesday, I’m going to say that she’s at school.”
“Right, I forgot,” Leo said sheepishly.
“Leo what’s going on?” Piper asked.
“Nothing, I’ve got to go. Bye Wyatt.” He orbed out.
“Chris, you hungry? I’ve got some left overs that have to be eaten.”
“No thanks, I’m fine.”
Piper nodded and took a seat at the table next to him. She placed her chin on her hand, “So, what are you up to?”
Chris glanced up at her oddly.
“I’m sorry,” Piper said. “I need to have a conversation with someone other than myself and my son who can’t even speak.”
Chris smiled nervously, “I’m looking for an apartment.”
“You too? Is it everyone leave Piper month?”
“Piper, it’s not like you or the others care to have me around all the time and I can’t have you doing my laundry for me forever, especially if you use detergent that smells like flowers.”
“Hey, it was on sale.” She sighed, “Just promise to stop by once in a while, you know I barely see my sisters so having company would be nice.”
“Promise.”
Piper nodded, “There’s an apartment that I know of, only it’s above the club; everything works properly, heat, water, kitchen, living room and a bedroom.”
Chris smiled, “How much for rent?”
“Tell you what; I need another bartender at the club, so work for me and just pay 200 for the rent. How does that sound?”
“When do I start?”
**** Zoey and Jake walked along in silence, passing house after house.
“Alright Zoey, what’s bugging’ you? Damien hasn’t called you back yet?”
“Since when do you care?”
“I don’t, but for you I’ll pretend.”
Zoey smiled, “No he hasn’t called yet, and he again accused me of cheating on him. I don’t know what I’m going to do; I’ve had about enough of his jealousy crap. It’s like he doesn’t want me to have any friends. I mean is it my fault that all my really good friends happen to be guys?” She let out a heavy sigh.
“Are you thinking about breaking up?”
“To be honest, I’ve thought about it but I don’t know.”
Jake nodded, “Do what you think best and be happy, you deserve it.”
Zoey smiled at him nervously, “Jake, there’s something that I have to tell you.”
“What- wait, don’t tell me, you’re head over heals in love with me but don’t have the heart to break off your relationship with Damien so now we have to live a life of sin and secrecy to be with each other.”
“How did you know, it’s like you read my mind,” Zoey replied then laughed.
Jake smiled, “Seriously though, can we talk about it later? I’ve got rehearsal with the band.”
“Ok, how about seven?”
“It’s a date.”
Zoey said goodbye to Jake and continued to make her way home; all of a sudden Leo orbed in the bushes.
“Zoey.”
Zoey jumped, “Leo, don’t scare me like that.”
“Sorry, I just needed to talk to you, come on.” He grabbed her hand, looked around and orbed them out. Damien grinned viciously. **** “What’s going on?” Zoey asked when they were in the conservatory of the Halliwell manor.
Piper, Chris, Phoebe and Paige were gathered there with a nervous expression on their faces.
“Is someone going to tell me what’s up? If so, could you speed it up ‘cause I’ve got a paper on Shakespeare to write before I tell Jake.”
“I thought you already told Jake,” Phoebe said.
“Yeah, about that, I kind of-”
“Chickened out?” Phoebe finished.
“I’d like to think of it as postponed it, but that works to.”
“Maybe you’d want to sit down for this,” Paige suggested.
“I’ll stand thanks.”
“Alright, you’re not going to like what I have to say but it’s important that you know,” Leo began. “Damien isn’t who you think he is-he’s a demon.”
Zoey laughed, “Good one Leo, now why don’t you tell me the promise you made to me earlier this month; how you were going to accept the fact that I’m with him again.”
“Zoey it’s true, I wouldn’t lie to you about this.”
“I have a hard time believing that seeing as you have a history of hating him.” Zoey rolled her eyes, “Would it hurt to try and like him? He’s not that bad, he’s a really wonderful person once you get to know him.”
“It’s true what Leo said,” Phoebe chimed in.
“Zoey-”
“No Leo, why is it so hard for you to accept the fact that I love him and that I know he has a good heart?”
“He’s a demon, the other elders confirmed-”
“I can’t believe that you would go as far as to tell me that he’s a demon. Thanks a lot Leo, you’re really great.” She shimmered out.
“Damn it!” Leo said. “She is still as stubborn as the last time I saw her.”
“Leo don’t be hard on her, she’s-”
Leo interrupted Piper, “She could get hurt, if she-if anything happens to her, I-”
“Nothing’s going to happen to her,” Phoebe said reassuringly.
“You don’t know that,” Leo said.
“Leo trust me, when you told me that Cole was a demon, I reacted the same way. I don’t know why, but I took extra precaution. She’ll do the same.”
“In the mean time, we now have two demons on our-” Piper flew back into the wall. Alaster threw a fire ball at Leo but Leo sent it back with his telekinetic powers. Phoebe rose into the air and was about to drop kick the demon but he grabbed her leg and twisted it; Phoebe screamed as the bone in her leg snapped.
Alaster turned on Paige who tried to throw a potion vile at him but Alaster gestured towards her and she flew through the attic door and was rendered unconscious. Leo came up to him and tried to knock him down but Alaster punched him out of the way without much effort.
Alaster waved his hand in the air, “Come here white lighter,” he snarled. Chris, as if hypnotized, walked towards him. Alaster placed his gloved hand onto Chris’ throat and raised him in the air. Chris tried to orb out of the strong, steel like grasp but couldn’t; he could barely breathe. Alaster’s grip tightened.
Leo came up behind him and hit him in the back of the head with a wood baseball bat. Alaster dropped Chris and blinked out. Leo rushed over to Paige and Phoebe and healed them. “That thing came out of nowhere,” Phoebe said.
“I know,” Leo replied. “Are you all ok though?”
Piper shook her head, “No, not until I know that thing is dead. He was too strong Leo, he could have single handedly killed us all.”
End of chapter seven

Chapter eight Zoey was in the middle of washing dishes when she suddenly had the feeling that she was being watched. She turned to look behind her but no one was there. She shrugged it off and went back to washing the dishes. Again the same feeling came over her and this time she heard something coming from the parlor. Zoey turned off the water and listened; suddenly a thump came from the living room.
Zoey made her way quietly from the kitchen to the living room. No one was there; a picture frame lay face down on the floor. As Zoey picked it up a hand grabbed her shoulder. Zoey grabbed the arm and flipped the person over her back causing the person to land on their back.
“Oh! Damien, I’m so sorry,” Zoey apologized as she helped him back to his feet.
“Who’d you think I was?” he asked.
“A d-robber. I thought you were a robber. Are you alright?”
“Ronnie teach you how to do that?” he asked rubbing the back of his head.
Zoey smiled guiltily, “Yeah; again I’m sorry.”
Damien smiled and kissed her passionately.
“Wow, what was that for?” she asked curiously.
“I’ve just been having a good day that’s all, and I came to celebrate it with you,” he grabbed her hand and kissed it.
“What happened to you that made you this happy? Did you ace that lit test?”
Damien grinned, “Not quite, it’s something much better than that, and I’ll tell you it because,” he kissed her lips, “because I know that you’re a witch.”
“Damien, that’s kind of mean don’t you think?” Damien’s grasp tightened on her hand. “Ow, let go of me,” Zoey said trying to pull away.
Damien let her go and she stumbled backwards tripping over the coffee table. “Come on tiger, you didn’t think something like this could get passed me, did you?”
“How-How-”
“Did I know? Well that’s easy,” he lit a blue energy ball in his hand. “I’m not your average Joe.” He flung the energy ball at her; Zoey used her wind power and made the energy ball go off course. “Interesting power there, from what I hear, you can shimmer as well. Is that true?” Zoey glared at him and didn’t answer him. “Aw come on tiger, if you show me yours I’ll show you mine.” Damien suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind her. “Like that? It’s a little thing called blinking.”
“Why are you doing this?” Zoey demanded.
“For you,” Damien replied with a vicious smile, “I’m doing this for you tiger, because I love you.”
Zoey gestured her arm and caused Damien to slam into the fire place.
“Now that wasn’t very nice,” he said getting up and dusting himself off. “I go out of my way for you, to take care of a little problem that I had with Chris and Jake but-” He paused and smiled nastily at Zoey who’s eyes were now growing wide with fear. “See its things like your relationship with those two that can really set off a guy.” He laughed, “Of course when you’re scared like that, it kind of turns me on.” Damien blinked out. **** Piper, Paige and Phoebe were busy cleaning up the mess from the fight when Zoey shimmered in.
“Zoey what’s wrong?” Phoebe asked sensing anxiousness and fear coming from the girl.
“Where’s Chris?” she asked ignoring Phoebe’s question.
“He’s with Leo, they’re up there,” Piper informed.
“Leo!” Zoey yelled.
“Zoey, what’s going on? You’re scaring us,” Paige said.
“Leo! Chris!”
“What’s going on?” Leo asked when he and Chris orbed in. “What’s with the frantic calling?”
“Damien-you were right about him; he’s a demon.”
“How did you-”
“He came to my house, he was in my house. He knew that I was a witch, he…he used his power against me to force me to use mine.”
“Did he hurt you?” Leo asked.
Zoey put a frantic hand at her head then quickly removed it. “No. He said that he ran some errands, for me….he said he did it because he loved me.”
“Did what? What did he do?” Paige asked.
Zoey took a while to answer, “He said he tried to solve a problem he had with Chris and Jake.”
Piper looked at Leo, “Did he say when?” Leo asked.
“Today, before he came. Chris, did you see him? Are you alright?”
Chris shifted uneasily, “I’m fine but I didn’t see Damien. I saw Alaster.”
“So that would make Damien and Alaster-”
“One in the same,” Paige finished for her oldest sister.
A cell phone went off and Zoey dug into her black bag and answered it. “Hello? Mrs. McKenzie, hi, have you heard from Jake at-” Zoey fell silent. “Oh my gosh, when? I’ll be right there.”
“What is it?” Phoebe asked.
“Jake, he’s in the hospital. I need to get to him.”
End of Chapter Eight

Chapter Nine
When Zoey reached the hospital, Jake’s parents were there to meet her.
Zoey gave each of them a hug, “These are some friends of mine, Phoebe and Chris; this is Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie.”
“I’m sorry to here what happened,” Phoebe said. Mrs. McKenzie smiled faintly in acknowledgement.
“Is he alright?” Zoey asked quickly. “How bad is it? Can I see him?”
Mr. McKenzie nodded his head, “You’re name was the first thing to come out of his mouth when he woke. He’s in room 311.”
Zoey rushed off down the hall and entered a small room. Jake was lying on the bed, his face was cut and bruised; his left arm had a cast on it; Zoey couldn’t help but stare.
“It’s not as bad as it looks,” Jake said quietly. Zoey walked over to the bed and hugged him, “Ow.”
“Oh sorry.” She took his hand in hers which was shaking, “What happened?”
“You know me; I have to grab attention somehow.”
“Don’t joke,” Zoey said.
“He came out of no where, not too long after we parted at the street. Damien’s something…he’s not human.”
“I’m so sorry, this is my entire fault,” Zoey said, her voice shaking a bit.
“Were you the one who did this to me?”
“No, but-”
“Then you’re not at fault; he did this, not you.”
“Still, my being with him put you in danger. I-I should have listened to you, to Leo, to everyone and not have gotten back together with him; because now you’re hurt and you’re lying here in this hospital-”
“Zoey don’t do this to yourself, you had no idea.” Jake squeezed her hand gently. “In the inside of pocket of my jacket, or what’s left of it, is an envelope with your name on it. The bastard must have put it there when I was out.”
Zoey retrieved the envelope and opened it, inside was a piece of yellow paper.
“Zoey?” Jake said.
“I-I have to go; I wish I could stay but it’s urgent.” Zoey went over to Jake and kissed his forehead.
“How is he?” Paige asked as Zoey, Chris and Phoebe entered the attic.
“He’s ok, kind of. He broke his wrist and he’s got some cuts and bruises,” Zoey replied.
“Any luck with the vanquishing potion?” Chris asked.
Paige and Piper both looked at Zoey before answering. “No,” Paige answered. “All the others might not work; he’s proven that he’s really powerful.”
Zoey handed Leo the envelope.
“What’s this?” Leo asked.
“Da-Alaster’s next target. It was placed in Jake’s jacket.”
Leo read the note, his face was grim. “You better get cracking on that potion; looks like he wants the Charmed Ones dead.”
End of Chapter Nine

Chapter Ten
Zoey walked down the street with a smile on her face. It had been two days since Jake ended up in the hospital; he was now at home resting and recovering. Besides that, Zoey was having an extremely good day; she aced her history test and found out that she would be getting a reward for one of her poems she had submitted to a contest that her English teacher had suggested she do. She was now on her way home to let Summer and Ronnie in on the good news.
The sun shone brightly above, and there was a gentle breeze that rustled through the trees.
As she entered the house she placed her bag next to the door. She smiled again and walked into the living room. “Summer, Ronnie, you’re never going to believe-” her smile faded as she froze in her tracks. She knelt down and saw that there were drops of blood on the beige carpet. “Summer? Ronnie?”
Zoey walked further into the living room; more blood stained the carpet. Zoey followed the trail into the parlor; her eyes widened. There lay Summer, sprawled out on her back, eyes wide open. Her neck was bent in an awkward way and blood stained her white peasant top; it appeared as if she had been stabbed several times; an atheme lay next to her.
Ronnie lay not too far away from her, he was face down. Zoey walked over to him and turned him onto his back; she gasped. His eyes were wide open too. Blood covered his face and even more blood stained his blue button up shirt. At his stomach was what appeared to be a burned whole that went almost straight through him.
Zoey turned and ran out into the kitchen. She threw up in the sink; her throat burned. She let the water run and wiped her mouth clean. She left the kitchen, the water was still running. Zoey had to go into the parlor, that’s where the nearest phone was.
“This is Morris,” Daryl said when he answered the phone.
“Daryl?” Zoey said in a spaced out tone. “Zoey, is that you?”
“Yes.”
“What’s wrong, are you alright?”
“No, it’s Summer and Ronnie.”
“What happened?”
“They’re-” she dropped the phone.
“Zoey? Zoey are you there?” Daryl hung up the phone and grabbed his coat. “I need an ambulance and a couple of men,” Daryl insisted. “Tell the ambulance to go to 614 Haight Street.”
End of Chapter Ten

Chapter Eleven “Chief, you’re not going to like this,” an officer said leading Daryl into the parlor. Daryl glanced at the bodies and then at the wall. “Oh my god,” he said. Daryl looked around for signs of Zoey.
“If you’re looking for the girl, she’s out in the back yard,” a cop said.
Daryl walked out into the bright sunlight and found Zoey taking pictures of the flowers. “Zoey?”
Zoey stopped taking pictures, “its funny how morbid nature is,” she said ignoring him, “to have something so…like this happen, yet still show beauty through the weather, the singing of the birds, the carnations.” Zoey walked over to the rose bushes where a few were beginning to bloom. “Or the roses,” she put out her hand to touch a bud. “Like the buds, life begins, and through out it you try to make it this beautiful, fantastic rose then suddenly,” she clenched her fist around the stem, the thorns ripping open the flesh of her palm, “it’s all over. Just like that.”
“Zoey I’m so sorry for what happened,” he said as he took her away from the rose bush. “I know you’re not feeling like being questioned but I have just one that I would like you to answer. The word on the wall, do you have any idea what it means?”
Zoey nodded, “It’s what he calls me; it’s his nick name for me. Tiger, that’s me.”
“Who calls you it?”
“Damien, my boyfriend. But you can’t catch him, he’s not even human.”
“I pretty much guessed that when I saw the atheme.”
Zoey went back to taking pictures and Daryl walked away. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. “Piper, it’s me Daryl. I have some bad news.”
**** Piper opened the front door and let Zoey and Daryl in. Zoey walked over and sat on the couch as if in a daze, while Daryl spoke with Piper. Zoey felt like she was lingering in a dream, nothing seemed real anymore.
“Zoey,” Piper said softly.
Zeoy snapped out of the trance. “Huh? What?”
Piper looked at her the way a mother looks at their child when something has got them down. “Phoebe is at work and Paige is and Leo are looking for ingredients. I have to go check on the club so I’ll be gone a while. Help yourself to anything you want to eat or drink ok? You can sleep in my room tonight.”
Zoey nodded and Piper noticed her hand which was now covered in white gauzed but blood had stained it. “We should clean that up.”
“No, Leave it.”
Chris orbed in when Piper was putting on her jacket.
“How is she?” he asked.
“I’m not sure; thanks for volunteering to stay with her tonight. Call if you need anything.”
Chris walked into the living room and sat down across from Zoey. She looked down to the floor and began to play with the silver locket she wore around her neck. “We should have Leo heal that up for you,” Chris said about her hand.
“No, leave it. I don’t mind if it scars.”
A pregnant pause fell between them. Chris felt uneasy, he wasn’t used to comforting people, he didn’t know what to do or what to say. Where he had come from, days like this were almost a normal thing. Now he was here with this poor girl and he couldn’t think of anything that might help. “There’s ice cream in the freezer, did you want any?” he asked finally.
“Not thank you,” Zoey replied; she kept her head down.
Chris nodded and the two sat in a silence that felt like an eternity. “Do you want to talk?” Chris asked a bit tentatively.
“No I don’t,” Zoey said in a clear firm voice.
“It sometimes helps to-”
“I don’t want to talk; I don’t want to be here. I wish I was home, I wish Summer and Ronnie weren’t…” Zoey got up and ran upstairs.
Chris let out a sigh, “Way to go, smart one.”
**** “We’ll wait for you down here,” Paige said to Zoey. They were now on the second floor of Zoey’s home. They were there because the funeral was the next day and Zoey needed to grab some clothes along with other belongings.
Zoey climbed the stair to her room in the attic and looked around. It seemed cold and uninviting to her. As she went to her closet she grabbed a duffle bag and began to place various articles of clothing into it along with accessories. All this she did in a daze. Suddenly she saw pictures of her and Damien posted up along the perimeter of her mirror. She quickly began tearing them down and into tiny pieces.
Suddenly she caught sight of her reflection in the mirror and punched it. Shards of glass dug into her knuckles, causing them to bleed. Her hand became stiff as she couldn’t move it. She then began to tear her room apart with her only able hand. Paige and Phoebe raced up the stairs, “What the-”
Paige ran over to Zoey.
“I’m fine,” Zoey said. “I’m fine!” she screamed.
Phoebe threw a lamp against the wall.
“Phoebe! Now is not the time to give into your empath powers.” Paige sighed.

Chapter Twelve
“Now, if anyone would like, they may come up to say a few words about those who have unfortunately parted from us,” the minister said.
Leanne took her place next to the minister; mascara ran down her face. “My name is Leanne Lewis; Ronnie and Summer were…they were my best,” she broke down into tears and her fiancé led her away. Leanne squeezed Zoey’s hand gently.
Zoey kissed her cheek and walked up the minister and turned to the others.
“Hi, my name is Zoey Aguilar,” she caught Leo’s eye. “Ronnie and Summer took me in a few weeks before I began my freshman year in high school. From then on they became my family and my friends.” A lump formed in her throat and her eyes began to water. “Ronnie would take me to baseball games; soccer games-he treated me like I was his daughter. He was even protective when it came to me and guys; he would play twenty questions until they got extremely nervous and on the verge of leaving.” Chris smiled. “Summer was great; she gave me my first camera for my fifth-teenth birthday. Summer never said that a picture was worth a thousand words, but rather they were windows into the past to help with remembering and were great if you were senile. She said that with pictures, everyone in your life would always be with you.” Zoey wiped away her tears that had barely begun to run down her cheeks. “Except that Ronnie and Summer aren’t here anymore, no matter how many pictures that I have them, it doesn’t change that and I just hope that they’re in peace.”
**** People gave their condolences to Zoey and talked with the other guests. Jason and Phoebe walked up to her, “Zoey, how are you holding up?” Phoebe asked.
Zoey looked around, “Like any other person who deals with death.”
Phoebe gave her a hug, along with Jason.
“How is she?” Piper asked.
“She’s holding it all in,” Phoebe replied.
“Can you blame her?” Paige said. “She’s lost a lot. If I were her I wouldn’t want to talk about it either.”
Zoey was sitting out underneath a tree in the chilly autumn night. Chris took a seat next to her, “How are you holding up?” he asked.
“I really wish people would stop asking me that,” Zoey said irritated. “Zoey, how are you feeling? Do you want to talk about it? How are you holding up? Are you sure you don’t want to talk about it? Gosh, will people get it through their heads already, I don’t want to talk or share my feelings.”
Chris glared at her, “You know, has it ever crossed your mind that people just care for you and that it isn’t healthy to suppress your feelings, especially if you’re a witch? Why are you so cold to everyone?”
“There we go again, brining up the fact that I’m a witch; it’s the reason why they’re dead. Just go away, you bother me.”
With that Chris got up and left. Zoey sighed out of frustration. **** The rain came pouring down hard over the city of San Francisco. Water sprayed up from the streets as cars drove by. The weather seemed to match the mood for that day, strangely enough seeing as how it began out as a beautiful clear skied day.
The funeral had ended not too long ago and the car ride back was quiet. “Are you guys alright?” Jason asked as he glanced at Piper, Leo, Paige and Richard in the review mirror.
“I just feel like there’s nothing we can do,” Piper said.
“I know,” Phoebe said from the passenger’s seat, “What can we do?”
“I don’t know about you guys,” Paige said, “but I really want to vanquish this Alaster.”
“Same here,” Piper, Leo and Phoebe said in unison.
“Don’t you think that Zoey should be the one to vanquish him?” Jason said. “I mean, it’s personal.”
**** Chris had just gotten back to his apartment. Boxes still were stacked all over the place. He took off his blazer and laid it on the bed then sat down. He picked up an address book and dialed a number. “Come on, pick up.” The phone just kept ringing. A knock came at the door.
Chris opened it and found Zoey standing at the door, still in the same black dress she wore to the funeral.
“Zoey, come in,” Chris said and let her in. “You’re soaking wet.”
She shivered, “Yeah, it’s raining outside.”
“Let me get you something.” Chris went into his room and came back with a sweater for her. “Here, put this on.”
Zoey did so, “This is a nice apartment,” she complimented.
“Yeah, and imagine it will look nicer with the boxes gone.”
“Chris, I’m sorry for the way I treated you the past couple of days.”
“You’ve been through a lot, you were angry-”
“Still, I shouldn’t have treated you like that; you’ve been so kind to me these past couple of days.” Zoey’s eyes began to water, “I really appreciate that. God, I’m sorry for the water works display,” she said wiping away her tears.
“Don’t be. I tried calling you to see how you were,” Chris said stepping closer to her.
“I couldn’t stay in that house.”
Chris nodded; Zoey hugged him all of a sudden. This caught him off guard, he hesitated. “Zoey-”
“Just hold me,” she said quietly. Chris hugged her back and she broke down into tears.
“No, don’t!” Zoey yelled. She tossed and turned in the bed. “Don’t…stop!”
“Zoey,” Chris said shaking her. “Zoey wake up.”
Zoey opened her eyes and then sat up.
“You were having a nightmare,” Chris said.
Zoey sighed, “I’m sorry for waking you.”
“Did you want something to drink?” he asked although he was much more concerned about how she was.
Zoey shook her head, “No, no thank you.”
Chris nodded and got up to leave the room.
“Chris,” Zoey said, “Could you stay here with me? I don’t really feel like being alone.”
“I don’t know-”
“Chris, we’re just sharing a bed; I’m not looking for that kind of solace.”
Chris smiled faintly and lay down beside her.
“Good night,” Zoey said.
“’Night," he replied looking at her softly.

Chapter Thirteen
“She’s not answering her home phone,” Phoebe informed as she hung up the telephone.
“She’s not answering her cell phone either,” Paige announced clicking off her own cell phone.
“Where could she be?” Piper said.
“Maybe she just doesn’t want to talk to anyone right now. Maybe she wants some alone time,” Paige guessed.
*** “Hello?” Chris said sleepily into the phone.
“Hey Chris, it’s Piper, I’m sorry for calling so early but, have you heard from Zoey?”
“Uh, yeah I did,” he replied in a whisper. He took Zoey’s arm off of him which lay on his chest. He got out of bed with as little movement that was possible.
“Good, we got worried. When did you talk to her because we tried calling her at home and on her cell, but we couldn’t reach her.”
“Last night actually; she came over.”
“Well?” Phoebe said.
“Shh,” Piper said. “Uh-huh, how is she?”
“She’s dealing, look don’t worry Piper, she’s fine,” Chris assured.
“Ok, well bye.”
“Well?” Phoebe said again.
“She’s fine; Chris talked to her last night.”
“As long as she’s ok,” Paige said. Piper nodded.
Zoey woke up and looked around the room; she slowly got up and made up the bed.
“Morning,” Chris said when she entered the living room. He handed her a cup of tea.
“Thanks, for everything.”
“No problem. Oh, I hung you dress up on a hanger to dry, it’s in the bathroom. It’s still damp.”
Zoey nodded, “I’ll return your clothes later then; by the way these are really comfy sweat pants.”
Chris smiled, “Are you hungry? ‘Cause to be truthful, I don’t have much to eat, so we can go out and eat or I can run up to the store and grab a couple of things.”
Zoey smiled faintly, “How about I make us some breakfast? Consider it as my way of saying thanks.”
“But you’re my guest-”
“Yes but I want to.”
“Well I won’t stop you then,” Chris said with a smile.
**** Paige was mixing a potion in the attic when Chris orbed in with Zoey.
Paige smiled, “Zoey, it’s good to see you.”
“I didn’t go anywhere,” Zoey said.
Paige went over to her and gave her a big hug.
“What’s up?” Chris asked.
“We’re finishing up a vanquishing potion and we needed the two of you here,” Paige informed. “Piper and Phoebe are downstairs grabbing some more potion viles. The potion needs to be in a big amount in order to- are you ready to do this?”
Zoey looked away, “I’m not sure.”
“Not sure about what?” Phoebe said as she and Piper entered the attic. Piper began to pour the potion into the viles.
“How-How are we going to, uh, get him here?” Zoey asked as Paige handed her a vile.
“We’re going to summon him; everyone ready?”
“Alright,” Phoebe said, “here, read this.” Phoebe handed Zoey a piece of paper with writing on it.
Zoey sighed, “Why me?”
“You’re the only one who can summon him since you two have a connection,” Paige explained.
Zoey sighed again; the note shook in her hand, and then read the words out loud.
I call upon thee, You know who you are I summon thee Come out of the darkness, out from the shadows Heed my call, I call upon thee, come to me.
Nothing happened, then all of a sudden a breeze came through the attic and Alaster appeared. His blue skin glistened in the sunlight. “Witches,” he snarled in his deep and vicious voice.
“Now!” Phoebe yelled. All at once the five threw their viles at Alaster. He screamed and disappeared.
“It didn’t work,” Zoey said looking around nervously.
“What do you mean?” Chris asked.
“I don’t know it’s like I can feel it in the air. He’s still here.”
All of a sudden Alaster appeared behind Phoebe and stabbed her then tossed her aside as if she were nothing but a mere rag doll. Piper tried to blow him up but he blinked then attacked her from behind the same way he did to Phoebe. He turned towards Paige and smiled, with a wave of his hand he sent her across the attic. An energy ball lit up, glowing vibrantly in his hand and he threw it at her.
Chris swung his arm and Alaster flew across the room. Alaster snarled and a dark lighter’s bow appeared in his hand.
“Watch out!” Zoey screamed.
Chris fell to the ground instantly when the black arrow pierced his stomach.
Zoey knocked Alaster onto his back with her wind power. Alaster formed on energy ball and threw it at her; she sent it back at him with a strong gust of wind. Alaster hit the floor escaping the path of the energy ball. Zoey picked up a baseball bat that was lying near the typewriter. Alaster lunged at her and she swung at him smacking him in the stomach with the wooden bat. Alaster fell to the ground and Zoey again swung the bat at him.
She raised it again, “Zoey,” Damien said, he was now back to his human form. He got up slowly, “You don’t want to hurt me,” he said looking her in the eye.
“Yes, I do.”
“No you don’t. In fact you’re going to put that bat down.”
“Ok,” Zoey replied and dropped the bat. “What just happened?” she asked confused at her actions. She soon snapped out of it and raised her hand to blast him with another gust of wind.
“Put your hands down Zoey,” Damien said softly, still looking her in the eye. Zoey didn’t comply. “Zoey, it’s me. Put your hands down.” Damien lowered her hands slowly and continued to look into her eyes. “Good girl, I knew you would do the right thing.” Damien tucked her hair behind her ears.
“Damien-” she whispered longingly.
“Shh,” he kissed her passionately.
Leo orbed in, “Zoey,” he ran towards Damien but he blinked out.
Zoey snapped out of the trance and realizing what had just happened, she began to cry.

Chapter fourteen
“We just need to make a stronger potion,” Paige said while flipping through the Book of Shadows.
“Our last potion didn’t work-how do we know that this one will?” Piper asked.
“We don’t, but we just really need something strong. I wonder if Richard has any potion lists,” Phoebe said.
“I’ll go check,” Paige said.
“I’ll come too,” Phoebe volunteered.
“Only on one condition,” Paige said. “Don’t start doing your not so subtle accusations on him.”
“I won’t,” Phoebe promised. “Piper, let us know how badly Zoey kicks Chris and Leo’s butt. The last time I checked, she was going all out on Leo.”
**** The punching bag swung away violently. Zoey continued to send powerful kicks and punches causing the bag to swing around. The chain that held it up was fastened by a few screws to a beam in the basement. Anger surged through her, stronger than she had ever experienced before. The punching bag was her enemy; the punching bag was Alaster.
“Zoey, that’s enough,” Leo said.
Zoey ignored him and continued to beat up the bag. “Zoey, that’s enough,” Leo said once more, this time more firmly.
Again Zoey ignored him and she sent another powerful kick at the bag and the chain broke away from the beam. The bag fell with a thump to the ground. Leo sighed, “What?” Zoey said opening a bottle of water, “I was just having a little fun.”
“Alright,” Leo said. “Chris you’re going to spar with her now.”
“What? Why me?” he asked a bit nervously.
“Well your height matches that of Alaster’s demonic form,” Leo explained.
“How’s the training session going?” Piper asked as she entered the basement.
“Just getting started,” Leo said then turned to Chris, “Alright, attack her manually then use magic. Also send some orbs her way.” Leo walked over and stood next to Piper, “Don’t hold anything back you two; this is a simulation, act like it’s the real thing. Fight.”
Zoey took stance waiting for Chris to attack first. Chris threw the first punch; Zoey blocked it and sent a punch back at him. Chris blocked the punch. Zoey fan kicked him, causing him to fall to the ground. Before he got back to his feet, Zoey sent another kick at him. Chris caught onto her leg and lifted it up causing Zoey to fall on her back.
Zoey leaped up and dropped kicked Chris causing him to fly into the air. Chris got up and telepathically caused Zoey to fly into the wall. Zoey landed hard and had a bit of a hard time picking herself up. When she was up, Zoey immediately deflected an orb ball with her wind power. Chris sent another one to her but she shimmered out. Chris looked about him waiting for her to re-appear.
Zoey shimmered in behind him and sent him across the basement with a kick in the back. A gust of wind came in on Chris’ right side and sent him into the wall.
“Chris, plan B,” Leo instructed.
With a slight flick of the wrist, Chris sent Zoey flying backwards. When she got up Chris was nowhere to be seen. All of a sudden he attacked her from behind; Zoey grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder and onto his back. When she glanced down she saw Damien’s face looking back up at her. Zoey lowered her guard and backed away.
“Zoey we’re not finished,” Leo said.
“I think we are,” Zoey said firmly.
“You can’t just stop this simulation, what if it was the real thing?”
“Then I would deal with it then,” she replied nastily. “I can’t believe you would make Chris take on Damien’s appearance, after everything he’s done to me. Change back now.”
Chris looked at Leo.
“I said change back now,” Zoey ordered.
Chris morphed back into his normal self. Zoey sighed and checked her watch, “I have to go,” she said. “I’m supposed to meet the lawyer at three.”
“A lawyer?” Chris said.
Zoey nodded, “We have to discuss what’s going to happen to the house, Ronnie and Summer’s wills, and the funeral payments."
“I’ll drive you,” Piper said and the two walked out.
**** Alaster knelt down on one knee before the old warlock. “It is time for you to prove your allegiance to the council,” the warlock stated in his raspy voice. “Tonight when the clock strikes ten you are to convert the newbie, have her kill and the transformation shall be complete.”
Alaster looked up; his black eyes caught the warlock’s blue eyes. “Why the sudden change of plans, my liege?”
The warlock smiled viciously, “Because to prove that you are really back you are to make sure that she converts; she will lead you then to the Charmed Ones-”
“But I know where-”
The old warlock continued, ignoring Alaster’s interruption. “The Charmed Ones will be thrown off guard, causing them to be vulnerable. Kill them quickly, and if the girl refuses to convert, kill her.” The warlock studied Alaster for a while, “Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes my liege.”
End of Chapter Fourteen

Chapter fifteen
“Alright, the potion is ready,” Paige said as she finished pouring the last bit of the blue potion into viles.
Phoebe put down the pen that she was writing with, “The binding spell is complete.”
Piper walked in with Chris, “Wyatt is at Daryl’s and I’ve got the fairy dust,” she announced as she held u the red velvet pouch.
“What’s the fairy dust for again?” Phoebe asked.
“By sprinkling the fairy dust around the conservatory it will create a perimeter, confining everyone in it. Once the perimeter is activated, no one can shimmer, orb, or blink out,” Chris explained.
“Uh-huh,” Phoebe said. “I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t like the idea that we’re going to be trapped with this thing.”
“I don’t like it either but it’s the only way to vanquish him,” Paige said.
“When is Leo supposed to bring Zoey?” Phoebe asked.
Piper glanced at her watch, “They should be here any minute now, the meeting was supposed to end at seven.”
Just then Leo orbed in with Zoey. Zoey didn’t look so good.
“What’s wrong sweetie?” Phoebe asked.
“Nothing,” Zoey replied flatly.
“The meeting wasn’t so good,” Leo explained.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Paige asked.
“No,” Zoey said, “It’s just extra fuel for him.”
“Is everything set to go?” Leo asked.
“Yup,” Piper answered. “We just need the perimeter.” As Piper began to sprinkle the fairy dust around the conservatory, Paige briefed Zoey on the plan.
“All done,” Piper said tossing the pouch aside.
“Are you ready?” Leo asked Zoey, looking at her with concern.
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” she replied. Zoey sighed:
I call upon thee, You know who you are I summon thee Come out of the darkness, out from the shadows Heed my call, I call upon thee, come to me.
The lights in the conservatory began to flicker on and off and Alaster appeared. Piper mumbled some magic words and a gleam of pinkish light glowed around them for a second.
Alaster laughed, “Foolish witches,” he snarled. “You’re making this all the more easier on me.” With that he sent an energy ball at Piper and Chris; Chris sent it back at him with a wave of his hand. The energy ball hit the perimeter and the energy ball vanished in a flash of pink light.
Alaster raised Piper, Chris, Paige and Phoebe into the air by raising his arms and sent them flying across the room. The five smacked into the doors that led out into the backyard; a vibrant pink color shone and shocked them.
Alaster laughed then stopped all of a sudden.
“What’s wrong?” Zoey asked. “Oh that’s right, you can’t blink. Too bad.” A violent gust of wind sent Alaster flying in the air. He smacked into the perimeter in the door way and fell straight down. Alaster got up and went towards Zoey; she raised her hand and blasted him away with anther gust of wind. Alaster shot a fire ball at her; she dove out of the way. Alaster turned and sent Chris flying into the air; he landed hard on the tile floor. A dark lighter’s bow appeared in Alaster’s hand; he shot the bow but it froze in mid-air.
“Nice try,” Piper said.
Alaster smiled viciously, another fire ball formed in his hand. He was about to send it at her but Phoebe levitated and kicked Alaster, causing him to stumble; the fire ball vanished. Chris telepathically sent Alaster flying into the perimeter. Leo helped Zoey up but Alaster sent him flying across the room. “You want to kill them,” Alaster said to Zoey.
Zoey shook her head, “No.”
“They don’t trust you; you’re not one of them. They think it’s your fault that Summer and Ronnie died. Kill them and join me. I can give you everything you’ve always wanted.”
“Don’t listen to him Zoey,” Piper shouted.
Quick as light Alaster appeared behind Piper with an atheme to her throat.
“Leave her alone, deal with me,” Zoey said. “I said let her go, this is between you and me.”
Alaster tossed Piper, causing her to knock Paige, Phoebe and Chris over. He smiled malignantly, “You think you can take me witch?”
“You better believe it,” Zoey said as she moved slowly away from him.
Alaster sent an energy ball at her; she deflected it with her wind. Alaster then raised her into the air and Zoey closed her eyes. “Are you praying witch?”
A huge gust of wind came and circled Alaster. Soon a funnel appeared around him and Zoey dropped to the floor. She got up and blasted him with her wind power. He flew into the perimeter and was shocked. Zoey held him there and he continued to be shocked, each one increasing in voltage. His body jerked about violently.
Finally Zoey let him fall; Alaster swung his leg out and knocked Zoey onto her back. He straddled her and began choking her. Zoey tried to get his hands off of her neck; Leo rushed over but Alaster telepathically sent him back flying. Zoey bit down hard into Alaster’s hand and he loosened his grip. Zoey managed to push him off of her. She straddled him and began to punch him.
“Give me Damien!” she yelled as she kept punching Alaster. She got up and began to kick the hell out of Alaster. “I said, give me Damien!”
Alaster morphed into Damien.
“Get up,” Zoey demanded.
Damien got up and wiped away the blood from his lip, “Your feistiness is what made me fall in love with you.”
Zoey dropped kicked him and sent him flying.
Damien got up, “I fell in love with you and I still love you. We’re meant to be together.”
Zoey blasted him across the room, “Stop saying that,” Zoey threatened.
Damien smiled, “No, because it’s true; tiger.”
Zoey slammed him against the perimeter and he let out a cry of pain. “Don’t ever call me that again,” she said then let him fall to the ground.
“You feel it too,” Damien said weakly. “I know you still love me. That’s why you called me out of my demonic self.”
“I do still love you, but I wanted to vanquish the monster that Summer and Ronnie trusted.” Zoey backed up and took the sapphire ring off her finger and tossed it at Damien; it fell into his lap. “Good bye Damien.”
Piper, Phoebe and Paige threw the potion viles at Damien, they cracked at his feet and smoke began to rise. Zoey unfolded a piece of paper and began reading the incantation:
Our love was the beginning, Now it’s the end; I bid you good bye, Leave me, never to return. End this thing’s life, Our love was the beginning Now it’s the end. Leave me, never to return again
Damien yelled out in pain and caught fire then combusted. Silence filled the conservatory and Zoey’s facial features softened. She placed her hands to her mouth and began to shake. Tears filled her eyes and her vision blurred; Zoey fell to her knees and began to break down.
Piper made her way to Zoey and held her, “You’ll be ok,” Piper soothed.
“No I won’t; he’s gone.”
“You did what you had to; I know that it was hard.”
Zoey continued to cry.
****** “How is she?” Phoebe asked when Leo orbed into the living room.
“She’s miserable,” Leo said. He took a seat on the couch, “It had to be done though.”
“But we never figured out why a demon that powerful was working for the council,” Piper.
“Also we didn’t find out much about the council,” Paige added.
“Something tells me that we will soon,” Phoebe said.
