Hello Again: Quest for the Gremoir Part 1
It Begins (Quest for the Gremoir Part 2)
Act 1
Price Harding walks through the front entrance of the manor she has called home for the last eighteen months. It was early morning and she was just getting home after spending the night at he cousins manor just three blocks away. She had hoped to get an invitation to spend a couple weeks, but her cousins were the Halliwell sisters. Due to the Halliwell family secret, she had not received that invite.
Now replaying the events that had taken place just the night before, she remembered how the sisters had been forced to let her in on their little secret. Piper’s husband had used magic to travel instantly from wherever it was he had been to the manor. After witnessing that little event, the sisters had explained to Price that they were really good witches known as the Charmed Ones.
Then, as the course of events unfolded, she ended up having to act as a band-aid for the Power of Three when Phoebe was killed by a demon named Skole. Phoebe had transferred her powers to her so that they could go out and vanquishes the demon. After they had vanquished Skole, Leo had gone to retrieve a book of dark magic called the Gremoir. Then turning the book good, they had used it to resurrect Phoebe. With Phoebe up and around again, they returned Phoebe’s powers to her.
Remembering all this, Price comes to a conclusion. It is as Skole had said. The Charmed Ones are trusting gullible idiots. But she recalls that that hadn’t always been the case. She remembered when Prue was alive. She remembered how strong, loyal, and beautiful she was. Prue was not the trusting fool that her sisters are. She used her head and therefore, Price knew, Prue would have seen right through her.
She couldn’t believe she had shown her true colors to the sisters and they continued to trust her thinking she was just under some kind of foolish spell. She gave a little chuckle. If Prue had been alive, she would not have trusted her again so easily. But as it stands, the sisters do trust her still and Prue is dead.
Now Price was beginning to get angry. Prue was dead and what do her sisters do, they immediately replace her with someone they didn’t even know. She couldn’t understand how that nincompoop Paige could think she could take Prue’s place. She was defiantly no Prue. Price knew she would have been a much better choice to be the new Prue. She knew this because she had devoted her life to becoming Prue.
She had followed Prue around with a camera taking her picture. She would study her movements and vocal patters. She started talking like Prue and dressing like Prue. When meeting new people, she would introduce herself as Prue Halliwell.
The truth of the matter was that when she went away, she wasn’t anywhere near Europe. In fact, she was in the Sun Valley Psychiatric Hospital. Her parents had put her in there saying that she had become obsessed with Prue. But Price knew better. Most of her waking thoughts had been of how she had wanted to be Prue, but that was just because of how amazing Prue was. It didn’t mean she was obsessed.
However, while in the hospital, she did stop thinking of Prue all the time. All she could think about was getting out of that hell on earth. She couldn’t understand how her own flesh and blood could send her away like that but she wasn’t mad at them. On some level, she knew they did it because they loved her.
The doctors were always telling her how she was getting better all the time. So it was no surprise that when her parents died, they let her attend the funeral. While out on the funeral leave, she had seen Prue and all these old feelings of admiration came flowing back.
Seeing Prue again, she knew that she couldn’t handle being locked away from her again so she escaped custody. She had set up residence in this house and began watching Prue’s every move again. This is when she found out about the sisters gift of witchcraft. In the weeks that followed, she became more obsessed with becoming Prue than she ever had been.
Then tragedy struck. Prue was killed by the demon Shax. She was furious at Piper and Phoebe for not saving her. She was furious that their Whitelighter wasn’t there to heal her. Then to add insult to injury, they replaced her in the Power of Three with someone they had never even met before. They replaced her with Paige who was so far away from what Prue was that it wasn’t even funny.
All this could have been avoided if the sisters had just given her Prue’s powers. She knew she could be a much better Prue than Paige could ever hope to be. But no, they made Paige the new sister and she got left out in the cold. After that slap in the face, she realized she wanted to kill them. That was when she hooked up with Skole.
Skole had known that the charmed circle had been broken, but was unaware that the sisters had reconstituted the Power of Three. He had gone to the Manor to finish them off when Price stepped in and stopped him. She had explained about Paige and how they used her to mend their circle and suggested a partnership.
It was then that they stepped back and started to formulate their plan. Now that the first part of the plan was complete, it was on to step two. They would revive Shax and use him to distract the sisters. They knew that if the sisters were all together, Shax would be no match for them. However, he would hopefully distract them long enough to retrieve the Gremoir.
Price continues to the basement, walking past the petrified body of the Manor’s owner. At the bottom of the stairs, she heads through a hidden door and into the Alter Room. There, she lights five candles while placing them into a circle. When all the candles are places, she kneels before the circle and recites the spell she had used so often to contact her master over the last couple weeks.
One who was once a beacon of light,
That now commands the darkness of the night,
Cross over to where magic can roam free,
Come to me, I beg of thee
On cue, black orbs fill the circle and come together to form Skole. “Excellent, excellent,” he says. “That worked out better than I had expected. Very soon now we will have the Gremoir back.”
“Forgive me master, but I still don’t understand why we went though all this trouble. The Charmed circle was broken, I had Phoebe’s powers and the Gremoir was in grasp. Why is it that we had to give it all up and help them get the Power of Three back?”
“I have explained this to you already. You had good magic in you. The book would have protected itself from you."
"But we turned the book good. Why wouldn't it have let me take it then?"
It would have read your soul and seen that you meant to steal it. Not to mention, their powers are connected to the Book of Shadows. If you had her powers for much longer, they would have turned you good and where would that have left us? No, you did exactly as you should have and we will be rewarded with the Gremoir.”
Continuing, Skole says, “Now were you able to get the vanquishing spell for Shax out of the Book of Shadows while you had the opportunity?”
“Yes, I have it right here,” replied Price.
“Good recite it backwards out loud and it will bring Shax back to us to destroy the Charmed Ones.”
“Price pulls out the hastily copied spell from her pocket and reads to herself.”
“Evil wind that blows,
That which forms below.
No longer may you dwell,
Death takes you with this spell”
Then, reading backwards, she says;
“Spell this with you takes death,
Dwell you may longer no,
Below forms which that,
Blows that wind evil.”
From what seems like a far away distance, Price and Skole hear a scream. It gets louder and louder until finally the only demon to ever kill a Charmed One and make it stick was standing before them
Skole looks to the right and left, cracking his neck in the process, and asks, “How did you summon me here?”
“We were able to summon you hear because you fought the Charmed Ones and were vanquished. So we brought you back to life to get your revenge,” answered Skole.
“What’s in it for you?”
“We will get the witches book. Now, go kill the witches”
Skole disappears in a Hurricane force wind, leaving Price and Skole there smiling.
