What seasons of Charmed do YOU feel the show was at it's peak? When did it start to die off? Was it storylines? Lack of a favorite character?
Now the descriptions I wrote beside them don't necessarily mean that's the way you HAVE to feel if you choose a certain set of seasons. They just seem to be the main focus of some of those grouped together. Again, feel free to elaborate on why you chose what you chose.
And I'm not talking about offical ratings and number of viewers. This is a personal opinion poll and not one associated with industry numbers and facts.

I chose other because my favorite seasons are 4-6. This could change though, because i have not yet seen seasons 1-3, but i dont know if i will like Paige not being there. But seasons 4-6 are definetely better than the last two seasons. I mean, there was definitely some good episodes in seasons 7 and 8, but i didn't really like most of the story lines that much. I will say that I do like how Paige married Henry and how Phoebe married Coop. I'm glad they were finally able to find true love, they definitely deserved it. But other than that, seasons 4-6 are definitely better.

The best years of Charmed, otherwise known as "The Prue Era" S1-3.

I chose Season 1 - 4. The first couple of seasons were great as we were discovering what the sisters were all about.

I wish there was an option for Seasons 3 through 6, because that would be my vote.
Season 1 was just finding itself.
Season 2 was terrible.
Seasons 7 and 8 were extremely underwhelming, after what we'd been accustomed to.
Seasons 3, 4, 5, and 6 were Charmed at its best, for me.

I would say seasons one through five. Once Cole was gone it went Although there are various episodes from seasons six and seven that were pretty good. But I think the whole focus on Wyatt's future may have been slightly for ratings. Because nothing attracts people like a cute kid, so use the cuteness factor to keep their viewers you know? Kind of like Full House ended up getting a lot of its fandom from the Olsen Twins. And then I really did not like the whole Avatar thing, especially Leo becoming one. He was bad enough as an Elder. Which brings me to another thing the Elders freaking got on my nerves a lot because they did not trust the Charmed One's judgments and acted like they were God or something. Oh and just randomness but hated Phoebe's boy short hair in season six I think it started.

Personally to lose Prue was one thing but to turn around and lose Cole also was pure and total C**p. If you know what i mean...

i loved seasons 1-3 not just because of Prue but because of the storylines and how fresh and exciting the episodes were. I even felt that the characters showed of their greates qualities during this time frame. S4 was tough at first getting to know Paige and whatnot but there were some great episodes and some of my favorites out of the series. I loved how Piper dealt with Prue's death-it really showed how much she loved her.

Although seasons 1-8 are constantly playing in my DVD player, I would have to say Seasons 5 and 6 are my favorites. The final installments in the Cole saga were terrific. Saving Wyatt, elders gone wild and Drew Fullers amazing face put season 6 at the top of my list.

Although I'm not a fan of Season 2, I still think that it was better than anything shown between Seasons 5-8. For me, the best period for CHARMED was between Seasons 1-4. Near the end of Season 4, it started to go sour for me.

Seasons 1-4 for me. I loved the dark storylines those seasons had. There was more drama. Season 5 was ok and fairytales are great and all but that's what Disney's for. Season 6 was horrible for me just because Piper wasn't the same during that season. She seemed to become a "witch." Season 7 was alright I guess. As for season 8 all I have to say is one word, Billie.

Id have to say my favorite season is season 6 and my favorite back to back season has to be 4-6 just because Cole was great and he made the show better. Season 6 i loved because of Chris he braught something new to the show and it always made you think because you never knew when you were going to find out who he really was or what he was trying to hide so bad. Definatly that span of seasons was the best Charmed has had. (IMO)

What seasons of Charmed do YOU feel the show was at it's peak? When did it start to die off? Was it storylines? Lack of a favorite character? I've voted for Seasons 1-4. I thought they were the best seasons with the best continuity (though none were perfect). The storylines were the right mixture of dark, funny, and sisterly. Season five is where the show lost it. They made it all fluffy and mythical because of the SuperBrat pregnancy. They also made SuperBrat more powerful than the Charmed Ones as a whole from the WOMB! Unforgivable!! Then they followed up with a second son in season six, a really bad season seven with ridiculous forced continuity (i.e. "Death Becomes Them") and the "let's fake our deaths" finale (the only good thing about this season was the three episode arc with Billy Zane as Drake), and then they had Bimbo and Crazy in season eight. Just horrendous! So anyway, Seasons 1-4 it is. I love them!

I was tempted to say Seasons 1-3, but I realized that Season 4 wasn't all that bad, until they ruined it with "Long Live the Queen".

It's hard for me to choose entire seasons, but I'd have to say seasons 3, part of 4, and 6 stick out for me because I liked the Prue and Chris characters as well as some of the more darker and dramatic episodes.
I absolutely hated some of the storybook-like episodes with the fairies, trolls, leprichauns, and nymphs. I was actually embarassed to watch the show when some of these episodes came on. I liked Chris because he added a mysterious element through season 6 as well as a character, like Cole, to stir things up a bit without being completely evil like a demon would be (I just wish they would have used Chris more often in vanquishing demons with his powers after they found out he was a witch). I never really took to the Avatar storyline in season 7 and was glad that they didn't end the series on the "faking their death" season 7 finale.
Not only did I like the Prue character better, but I hated Rose McGowen's acting, even though I eventually got used to it. It was too choppy and seemed forced.
