I think it was good up to Season 6. I like season 7 and 8............barely. It's mostly season 7. I didn't like it when Leo became an avatar. That whole story like. As for season 8, I didn't mind Billie. I actually liked her.........and I didn't mind the episodes until Chrissy came along & ruined it. If it wasn't for her, I would of really liked season 8. But 1-6 I have no problems at all with it.

For me, the Golden Years are between That 70's Show and Power Outage. Half way through Season 1 until a third of the way through Season 3.
I do love Season 3 and 4 - in fact they are my favourites. But I would describe them as when Charmed was in its Prime.
Put it this way, in terms of adult years Age 1 to 15 = Season 1 to That 70's Age 16 to 22 = Youth - the Golden Era - That 70's to Mid Season 3. 23 to 29 = Mid Season 3 to Womb Raidar - The Selfish Years, learnings, enjoyment. 30 to 35 = 4x22 - 5x21 (The Dirty 30's) 35 to 40 - 5x22 - 7x02-ish - Too old to go clubbing 40 to 50 - Season 7 (Life restarts at 40!) 50 to 65 - Creeping to retirement.

I chose
Seasons 1-6 - Move to TCS spin-off
But, I still think S7 is a good season. I don't really like S2 nor S4, but this was the closet option that fit best with my opinion LOL

Season 1-3 The Prue Era!
Those years everything was better. Even the worse episode did not make me want to smash my head like I wanted to do in later seasons with Phoebe. sigh... Her job, the boyfriends. The thing I miss the most is sisterhood. Sisters morality. The mix of comedy and drama. Being serious while also giving us comedic moments. I miss the old characters. Because they are not the same in later seasons. And if S1-3 sisters could see those later seasons (like they did to future in S2) they to would be appalled.

The Prue era just had a different feel to it, didn't it? I can watch the worst episode from that era and enjoy it, whereas there's just something off about even really good episodes from seasons 5-8.

Love this take! Also, "Seasons 7-8 - I love inconsistancy!" made me laugh For me, it's definitely season 1-3, the Prue era. I was hoping this rewatch would help me change my mind and set aside my biases, but the earliest seasons were objectively and undeniably so much better. I love season 4 too, but the Source storyline has its good and bad aspects, it's not as consistently good as 1-3.

Yes. Honestly it's the seasons you can re watch. It's because of stark contrast between them. In S1-3 you feel for the sisters, you cheer for them. You are together with them on their journey. While in later seasons I would never want to meet them in real life.
