Yeah there were a lot in season eight I think because I heard that Budget cuts were the reason Vaya Con Leos took place because Brian was unable to perform for a while.

Yeah there were a lot in season eight I think because I heard that Budget cuts were the reason Vaya Con Leos took place because Brian was unable to perform for a while. They cut Darryl out. Gave Leo Darryl's screen time. Gave Billie Leo's screen time. Yay!

Personaly i think they should have done something in season 8 to explain why Darell wasent in there. Anything could have been better than just not having him in the show with no explanation.

I thought they said once that he had moved out of the area, but I could be wrong. But, as noted, it was strictly budget cuts which eliminated Dorian's character and cut Leo to the first 10 episodes. Kern then brought him back, as he did with Drew Fuller and the others (Grams, their Mom, Adult Wyatt, and their Dad) as a guest star for the last two episodes, although he had no real part (speaking part) in the next to last episode, Kill Billie II. These cuts were agreed to by Kern, forced on him by the studio, in order to have a season 8. Bringing in the younger Billie character was also part of the deal. The idea being two fold. One, to lure back in a younger audience, as the main cast (the sisters) were all in their early 30's by this time; and two, to try to set up the possiblility of a spin off with Billie and Christy. When it became obvious the studio was not interested in a spin off (mostly due to the very negative reaction Charmed fans had to Billie), he went another way and killed off Christy at the end, instead of saving her somehow. Technically, Christy still lived, as Billie killed the Christy who came from the future to warn the Triad and the Christy of the present was not killed. Piper killed both versions of the demon travelling with her, but not the Christy of the present. Loose end that was not tied up, either on purpose or by mistake.
