What the Future Holds

Piper looks at the clock and groans "Honey we've got to get up"
The figure beside her grunts and pulls the covers over his head.
Piper smiles and pushes him, "You act like one of the kids, you have five minutes before I get the ice water"
She gets out of bed and puts her robe on and walks down the hall "Boys time to get up, NOW" she says sternly standing in the door way. Once she sees sufficent movement she moves on to the next bedroom and walks in and sits on the bed "Prue, honey, time to wake up sweetie"
A little girl sits up and rubs her eyes, Piper smiles at her five year old look-alike. "C'mon, its time to get up and greet the day."
Prue reluctantly gets out of bed and goes to the window and opens the curtains. "Its going to rain" she says quietly.
Piper leans over and looks out the window "Looks like" she says standing up.
"Why do I want to greet a rainy day?" Prue asks watching the clouds
"Don't you go changing the weather Prudence Melinda," Piper says cautiously, ignoring her question "If you do, whats that called?"
"Personal Gain" Prue says in a rehearsed voice
"Thats right Now hurry and get ready, you don't want to be late for your very first day of school."
"Okay Mommy" she runs to her closet and starts to go through them already beginning to stress at five years old, what she is going to wear.
Piper smiles and turns to walk out the door, resting her hand on her stomach. She walks back to her bedroom and leans against the door frame. "Its been more than five minutes and pregnant women are not patient. She smiles slowly as her husband finally sits up and turns to her and smiles at her,
"I'm up" he says brightly.
"Its about time" Piper says
"Come here" he says with a smile. Piper walks to him and sits next to him on his side of the bed. He leans into kiss her just as Paige orbs in, "Hey LoveBirds, ah sorry, I really don't want to see that, We've got trouble"

Piper turns around and says quickly ready for another demon hunt, "What is it Paige"
"Sorry to interrupt but I've lost my ring"
"You gave me a heart attack because of a ring?"
"Not just any ring, my engagment ring!!" Paige says frantically
"oh" Piper says grasping the importance but still annoyed "Have you tried calling for it?"
Paige freezes mid argument and thinks "No...I didn't think i could do that...Can I?"
"Give it a try" Piper says slightly amused.
"You know what? I'm going to my apartment and doing this, since you seem to have so much fun laughing at me!" Paige says before she orbs out in a huff.

Piper laughs and looks at her husband with love in her eyes "Was I ever that bad at our wedding?"
He thinks about it for a moment and smiles teasingly and says "Worse"
She slaps him on the shoulder and goes to the closet to get dressed, but you can still hear her muffled voice. "You think you're soo funny mister"
"So do you admit it" He says as he puts his shirt on.
You hear Piper muffle a laugh and she comes out dressed.
"well you've found one of my many weak spots sir."
He smiles and puts his pants on. He gets up off the bed and walks toward her arms open. Piper falls into his arms and kisses him.
"Mom have you seen my oh eww can you two cut it out? thats how i got a little sister" Chris says after walking into the room.
Piper smiles "Thats how theres a new sister on the way" Piper glances at her husband, looking for his reaction as he didn't know the baby's gender yet
"A girl?" Chris says as he turns to leave "great great just what we need MORE girls, I'm never going to see the bathroom for more than two minutes again after this...." His bickering fades away as he goes down the hall and slowly dies until he reaches his bedroom.
Piper laughs and kisses the love of her life again
"Its really a girl?" he asks
"Thats right, kinda sad though, I had my heart set on naming a boy after you"
"We can still have one after me"
"honey, its a girl" She says not noticing his wording
"Oh i know that but we're young yet" He smiles a devilish smile and goes to the dresser for some socks, leaving Piper to shake her head at him.
"I don't know about that" she whispers to herself
"Did you say something honey?" He asks from across the room
"Huh oh no, just talking to myself again" she says, "Well i better get downstairs to the kitchen" she says walking out of the room before he can ask any questions.
When she reaches the kitchen, she looks at the pancake mix, her oldest son Wyatt had generously pulled out of the cupboard for her the night before. She wrinklied her nose at it and opened the cereal cupboard as Wyatt walked in arguing with Chris about the new spells they would have to learn at school, they both instantly stop arguing when they see the cereal boxes
"Aww c'mon Mom, can't you fix pancakes?" Wyatt asks
"No..My feet hurt too badly to stand here-" she sees Chris' eyes brighten "and i don't want to mess with conjuring them again like last week" She sees the instant disappointment in his face and she walks over to him. "you've got to learn to control it before you can use it in my kitchen" She stands up straight and pulls the bowls and spoons out and sets everyone up as her husband walks down carrying Prue.
"Hey Prue, you look so pretty!"
"Thanks Mommy" she says as her father sets her down and she climbs up to the table.
Piper sits down at the table, to rest her feet and makes sure they all eat their breakfast.
They all hear the ding of the grandfather clock after awhile to signal that they needed to get going.
"Okay everyone done? Alright grab your things and head for the stairs" Piper says shooing them all to the foot of the stairs in the entry way. Wyatt says the summoning spell for the magic school door and it floats down.
Piper takes a deep breath "Okay you all know where to go what to do? Chris make sure Prue gets to her class, I'd ask Wyatt but he seems to like to play tricks at school" Wyatt grins at this and walks up the stairs and through the door. After getting a kiss from Piper, Chris takes Prue by the hand and leads her through the door. The door shuts tightly and flys up through the roof.
Piper turns to her husband and he gives her a hug again saying "Good thing we're having another one we get to send them off to school too." He says
She ignores his joke and simply says "One day at a time, Leo, One day at a time"
A Darklighter orbs in and shoots an arrow right at Pipers stomach and it hits her before Leo can push her out of the way. She falls to the ground as the darklighter leaves

Piper lying on the floor trying hard to breath whispers "Leo, the baby...the arrow"
Leo hears her and pulls himself together and runs to her tripping over himself to get to her. He begins to heal her. When he is done she sits up pissed off. "What the HELL was that?"
"A darklighter" Leo says looking at the arrow lying next to him
"No really, gosh i wish all my children could heal me, did you see that, he aimed right for me the little....!!"
"Piper, the baby" Leo interrupts trying to calm her down
"How do they even know i'm pregnant again what the HELL is going on up there that they can't keep a da-
"PIPER!" Leo yells getting her attention "calm down, we'll figure this out"
Piper sighs "Alright, alright I'm fine, its just these demons are learning to do their homework and its pissing me off" She points at the arrow and it blows up. She stares at it and then with the help of Leo stands up.
Leo grins "If only Wyatt could follow their example" he says as Piper shoots him a look.
"Why would he be attacking the baby first with you around to heal her?" She asks her eyes filled with concern.

"Phoebe you're son is on line one" a secretary says stepping into the office of Phoebe Halliwell. Phoebe looks up puzzled. "Is he alright?" she asks worried
The secretary shakes her head "He just said he needed to talk to you"
Phoebe sighs "He's in Hong Kong because his father has custody of him this weekend" The secretary shrugs as Phoebe picks up the phone and presses the line "Andrew honey? Is everything ok are you hurt?"
Her sons 10 year old voice comes on the phone, "Yeah i'm fine, Dad just wanted me to call and ask if aunt Paige could come and get me" He says quietly.
Phoebe looks at her watch and then thinks about what her son just said "Wait a second you're telling me YOUR DAD wants AUNT PAIGE to come and get you" she glances at her secretary and motions for her to leave and she does so closing the door tightly behind her. "in that special way she does?"
"Yeah thats why i'm calling" Andrew says
Phoebe shakes her head and trys to keep herself from swearing at her ex-husbands picture. I wish he'd make up his mind about magic for once and all, she thinks. "I'll ask her Andy, but I don't understand why you can't just stay the rest of the weekend and fly in back on the jet."
Andrew's side of the line is silent. "Andrew?" Phoebe asks "are you still there?"
"Yes..."
"Andy tell me whats going on..now"
"Dad wants me to come home early..."
"Why?" Phoebe asks resting her head in the unoccupied hand.
"Because I got a new power" He says quietly, almost ashamed.
Phoebe closes her eyes and sighs away from the phone. "Okay Andy, I'll give Aunt Paige a call"

"Of course, Phoebe, I'd be happy to, I just wish i could find my dang ring" Paige eyes the room in a hopeless attempt to find it. "out of curiosity what is his new power?"
"I don't know, he wouldn't tell me, but I know this power boost is going to be tough, Jason doesn't even want him with him now that he has it, at least not now...I'm just worried about him, he loves his dad so much."
"He's a tough kid, like his Mom, he'll be fine" Paige says reassuringly.
"Alright, thanks Paige, just bring him by my office when you get back"
"okay i will, uh huh, yes i'll wear a jacket! okay bye." Paige hangs up the phone and stares at it "Who would of ever believed she had the power to morph into a mom"

Paige looks at Jason after he answered the knock on his door. "Is he ready?" she asks.
"Almost" he says not making eye contact with her.
"Andrew! time to go, Paige is here" he calls behind him "thanks paige, I just couldn't handle it, you know me and this stuff don't mix well."
"and yet you still married her" Paige says coldly
Jason does a half nod at the door frame and looks back into the apartment "Andrew Cole Dean lets go, move it!"
Andrew comes out of the bedroom, with a red face and grabs his bags, he sees Paige and his face brightens a shade. "Hi Aunt Paige!"
"Hey kiddo, ready to go?" she asks smiling
"Yeah, oh wait i need to grab my video games" he says and then he disappears into thin air
Paige looks around confused, "where'd he go?"
Jason looks down to where Andrew had been standing and points to a pile of video games lying on the floor "that would be why he can't be here with just me." He says simply as Andrew morphs back into himself, Paige eyeing him wide mouthed and speechless.
"Shapeshifting" she says simply regaining her composure "cool. c'mon Andy"
Paige walks into the small hotel room past Jason and takes Andrews hand. "Got all you stuff?" Andy picks up his last suitcase into his already full arms and nods. "Good okay see you later Jason" Paige says and orbs out before he can answer.

Piper is laying on the couch asleep and Leo walks in and watches her, staring at her stomach worriedly. He had orbed up to the elders but they knew nothing about what Piper had feared. Although they said there was nothing to worry about he was still unsure. Darklighters were usually smarter than that and they always came back for a second attack. Yet, nothing more had happened on the humid August afternoon, and when nothing was happening in the Halliwell house, it wasn't normal, as they all had come to know.
Piper begins to stir on the couch "Leo..." she says quietly
"Yes honey?" Leo asks walking to her.
She lays a hand on her stomach. "Why do I feel so weak?" she asks looking to him for comfort "if theres nothing to worry about?"
Leo sits down on the couch next to her. "I don't know Piper" He says with a worried look on his face. "I just don't know."
Piper sighs and rolls onto her back. " Something is wrong I know it" she says placing her other hand on top of the first.
"Shhh, its okay" he says softly.
She begins to get tears in her eyes "But Leo, this isn't natural, the darklighter did something to our baby" She says helplessly
Leo doesn't know what to say to comfort her for once, so he just hugs her. "Should we call your sisters?" he asks slowly
Piper takes a deep breath "Yes." She says. "Hurry honey, the sooner the better."
Leo nods and gets up to go sense where Phoebe and Paige might be. " I have a feeling 'the sooner the better' is an understatment" he thinks climbing the stairs.
Piper rolls over onto her side with her arms wrapped protectivly around her pregnant stomach "Come on baby, Fight, you're a Halliwell, we can get through this." She says as she drifts off into a troubled sleep.

Phoebe pulls Paige aside in her home that she bought with her divorce settlement, as soon as she orbed in with Andrew.
"Do you know what is new power is?" she whispers quietly while Andy goes upstairs to unpack.
"Yes, I do, and..." Paige says slowly to her older sister.
"and what Paige?" Phoebe ask curiously
"and, its going to be very interesting around your house from now on" Paige says trying to keep her smile from spreading across her face.
"Why?" Phoebe asks slowly with a hint of fear.
"Andy! Can you come down here!" Paige calls.
Andrew comes running down the stairs at the call of his name "Yes aunt Paige?" he asks politley, winning a smile from his mother.
"Can you show your mom your new power?" Paige asks gently.
Andrew bites his lip and shrugs "I dunno" is all he says
"Come here Andy, sweetie" Phoebe says motioning with her hand. Andy does what he is told and stands inbetween the two sisters.
Paige thinks for a moment. "Andy, I want you to move...." She looks around and spots a soccer ball "this SOCCER BALL" she says and the soccer ball orbs to her hand "with your telekenisis for me"

Andy concentrates on the soccer ball and just as he is about to flick his hand, he morphs into a soccer ball, that begins bouncing up and down at a speechless Phoebe's feet.
"Shapeshifting" Paige says simply trying to bring her sister back into reality.
"Andy?" Phoebe asks staring at the soccer ball wide eyed. Andy morphs back into himself, his face again red. "is that your new power honey?"
Andrew nods noticibly written on his face is the fact that he has no idea what to think about it.
Phoebe nods as well, "you're right Paige, shapeshifting is definetly going to be interesting" she says letting her smile shine upon her son.
Paige looks up suddenly and listens as if trying to hear a speck of dust speak. "What is it Paige?" Phoebe asks turning her attention to the dust particles floating around, puzzled.
"Shhh, Its Leo" Paige says surprised and then smiles "I guess you're not the only one who's powers are progressing Andy, Phoebe we need to go, it sounds really urgent."
Phoebe, still confused nods and tells Andrew to stay inside and try to control his shapeshifting while she's gone. She begins to give him some more orders until Paige gets impatient and grabs Phoebes hand and orbs out mid "and do NOT try to clean your room with your powe-"

Paige and Phoebe orb into the living room of the Halliwell Manor to see Leo standing over Piper shaking her. Fearing the worst Phoebe says "Leo? Whats going on?"
Leo looks up and Paige notices the tear stains on his cheeks, "she won't wake up" he says collapsing to the floor by the couch beginning to shake her again getting more upset with every word. "Piper? Piper c'mon I know you can hear me, speak to me D@mnit, c'mon Piper..."
Phoebe and Paige can only stand in the middle of the room absorbing what they were seeing in shock.

"Calm down, Leo, she's still breathing" Phoebe says slightly relieved
"Yeah well, she isn't waking up!" Leo says shaking her again.
"Leo..." Paige says trying to think of ideas, "Tell us what happened, today"
Leo takes a deep breath knowing he's got to calm down if he can help Piper. "We sent the kids to school and a darklighter attacked-" he began
"a darklighter? haven't they learned their lesson yet?" phoebe asks interrupting Leo
"Shhh" Paige says listening to Leo
" They aimed it at piper's stomach and then he left and i healed her, but Piper felt like something wasn't right, because darklighters know i'm here to heal at the charmed ones beckon call." Leo finishes.
Paige shakes her head "It sounds fishy to me too, I wish you would've called us sooner"
"Piper didn't want to worry you, especially after the elders said there was nothing to worry about but we still had doubts." Leo says staring at the floor.
"Well, she is still breathing and you've tried to heal her so i'll go look in the Book of Sha-" Paige begins.
"No you can't, No!" Piper yells from the couch and they all run to her trying to find out whats wrong.

Piper stands up from the couch in an alternate reality. She looks around and sees no one. Then a tall handsome man walks into the room carrying a tray of food, shocking Piper
"Shh honey its just me, I'm glad you're awake though" he says walking closer to her
Piper can only stare bewildered at her surroundings.
"here why don't you sit down, you just woke up" he lays a hand on her stomach "you need your rest anyways"
She backs away from him and sits back down on the couch, unsure of what to do. He sits down next to her and sets the food on the coffee table infront of them and then turns to her.
"are you ok? you seem scared" he says genuinley concerned.
Piper goes to stand up, "i don't know who you think i am but i need to leave"
He holds her hand and keeps her from getting up "Not so fast honey, you need to eat." he smiles and Piper remembers how handsome he is. "i love that about you, pregnant and you still have the energy to be funny" He leans into kiss her but she leans back to a near laying position on the couch away from him.
"No you can't no!" she yells
The man pulls away confused and just stares at her.

Phoebe looks at Piper and shakes her head. "All i'm getting is confusion" she says looking up at Paige
"Well we have to figure his out soon, Leo won't stay up there all day with Piper like this" Paige says looking at Piper again.
"I know" Phoebe says, "lets just look in the book for some more answers, the poison on that arrow must've done SOMETHING"
Paige suddenly looks toward the stairs. "I have an idea!" she says orbing up to Piper's bedroom not wanting to run up the stairs.
Phoebe reluctantly sprints up the stairs panting when she got to the bedroom "couldn't you have taken me with you?"
Paige shakes her head and looks under Piper's bed. "what are you looki-?" Phoebe asks puzzled and then all of a sudden stops short.
Paige comes up from under the bed "what is it?"
Phoebe walks to the door and looks out it and then walks back to Paige, "I could've sworn i heard footsteps..."
Paige looks at her "Maybe you need to lie down, this stress is getting to you"
"SHHHH" Phoebe says sharply and Paige is quiet, hearing a faint whisper.
"Someone help me"

"Maybe you need some more rest" the man says to Piper standing up.
Not knowing what to do Piper nods "I'll just go upstairs" she says, "I feel a little lightheaded."
"okay, you need any help?" he says with concern
Finally getting an idea of what is going on Piper says "No, I'll be fine Dan, i just need to lay down." she says climbing the stairs as fast as she can. Piper goes to her room and wonders "How the heck did i get here?" She sits down on the bed trying to figure out what is going on. She looks around and notices that everything is the same as her house. the dresser the bed the couch everything is in the same place. She lays down on the bed and stares at the ceiling and whispers "Someone help me!!"

Leo orbs into the attic where Phoebe and Paige are. “The elders don’t know anything he says drained.
“Okay Leo, we’re working on it, why don’t you uhh” Phoebe stalls trying to think of something to keep him occupied.
Paige sticks her head up from behind a stack of boxes, “Why don’t you go sit with Piper in case she says anything more. It might give us a clue into whats wrong.” She says before diving back among the towers of boxes.
Leo reluctantly nods and orbs out. Phoebe shakes her head, they rarely ever see Leo, that scared, only when something serious is happening to Piper. And to Phoebe, that meant that Leo thought this was serious and that worried her.
"Paige what are you looking for?" Phoebe asks exasperated sitting on the couch in the attic.
Paige walks over to her with a box "Got it!" she says
Phoebe sighs and shakes her head "Got what?"
"This." Paige says and sits down next to Phoebe, "Remember when we had to summon Prue last year?"
Phoebe nods, not seeing where this is going.
"Well, when all the demon fighting was done and all the uh sister 'rivalry' was over" Paige smiles slightly remembering, "we sat down and started talking, she told me about this idea she had about darklighters, and then pulled this out of a deep dark corner up here and showed me what was in it" Paige says opening the box
"What is it, the box is empty" Phoebe asks curiously
"She never told you guys but after an incident with a girl named…uhh Daisy? Anyway she said that she started studying darklighters, this is all her research.” Paige says waving a hand over the box and the contents appears inside it.
“Hmm and to think I wanted to throw all our empty boxes away” Phoebe says shaking her head.
Paige smiles, “No kidding, so did I until she showed me this, now in this nifty little journal she kept, she wrote about what kind of power a darklighters arrow can do to someone pregnant, if the darklighter knows how.”<br>Phoebe, still looking at the box amazed says, “Go on.”<br>“Well I think since the darklighter specifically attacked Piper, that maybe he knew how. The only problem is that it doesn’t say in here how to fix it.”<br>Phoebe holds up her hand “Wait slow down, do you know what the arrow can do, if it did have that power?”<br>Paige nods, “Yeah,” Paige sighs “It’s called a “What If” arrow. It shows the person a ‘what if’ that they carry around with them all the time, like what if I had done this….. The what if has to be really strong, so if it did get to Piper, I think she is seeing one of her ‘what ifs ‘ right now, but it doesn’t seem like a dream to her, its real.”<br>“Great. What could be a strong what if, for piper?” Phoebe says half talking to herself.
“I don’t know” Paige says, “She has a lot, she has made a lot of huge decisions in the past, but which one would be the strongest?”<br>Phoebe looks at the Book of Shadows for a moment and then shakes her head. Piper has come to terms with being a witch, it wouldn’t be that. Phoebe stands up. “This could take days, to figure out…” she looks up and then gets an idea. “okay question, can the ‘what if’ be something that the opposite choice has made her happy, but the ‘what if’ is still there?”<br>Paige thinks about it and then nods “yeah I suppose so, why?”<br>“Follow me.” Phoebe says hurrying out the attic door.

Piper, finally finding the courage to venture from her bedroom quietly went downstairs into the front room. She started looking at pictures trying to find out where she was.

“Piper! Dan said that you were acting strange today, so he called me, which you know, he hate to involve the rest of us unless its serious, especially after, well you know, to see if everything was ok…is it?”<br>Piper whirled around startled to hear the voice behind her. Deciding to play it cool she says, “Yeah, I was just uhh really lightheaded and I uhh just needed to rest.” She nods smiling reassuringly hoping that sounded convincing.
“Alright, as long as the baby is ok……Okay, if you need anything, I’ll be at the club”<br>Piper nods a second time and then turns back around to investigate the pictures while the other person leaves, hoping they wouldn’t ask any more questions.

“Its my turn to ask this question, what are you looking for?” Paige asks impatiently sitting on the couch in the living room.
“Have some more patience will ya? You’re giving me a headache!” Phoebe says pulling a book out from behind the bookshelf, “this is what I was looking for.”<br>
Piper finds her car keys finally and inches towards the door, and quietly sneaks out to her car not knowing where she is going, just knowing if she was going to find some answers they were obviously out of the house. She walks slowly to her car when a familiar voice stops her.
“Piper Gordon! If you are sneaking off to work again, I’m telling Dan on you!”<br>Piper turns around to see Phoebe’s friendly but accusing face.
“No, I uhh was just going for a drive is all….” Piper says noticing how long Phoebes, red, hair was.
“Uh huh, that’s what you told me last time miss….” Phoebe smiles and shakes her head at her older sister, “Piper, you’ve never been pregnant before you need to take it easy.”<br>Piper opens her mouth to answer but Phoebe cuts her off “but since you’re so insistent, I’m at least going with you. No arguments.”<br>Piper decide to try and get some answers out of Phoebe “but what about…” leaving it at that for her to fill in the blanks
“Ohh, don’t worry about him. He and I have discussed everything and we’ve worked it out, we’re both good.” Phoebe says
Piper nods again, not getting any answers. “Lets go then.” She says timidly
“Hey Piper, Phoebe, what’s going on?” Piper hears as they walk into P3
“Well Piper was worried about the club so we decided to come check on it.” Phoebe chimes in smiling at her old friend.
“Oh I see, workaholic, maybe I should go, Dan wouldn’t appreciate my being here even if he called me earlier”<br>“No you can stay, well is that okay piper?” Phoebe asks
“Leo can stay” Piper says quietly
Leo nods “okay, well I uh..” he glances at her stomach “I’d better get back to work.”<br>Phoebe rolls her eyes “uh you two.” She shakes her head, “you’re way too alike”<br>She pats him on the back as he leaves and gets a premonition
“Phoebe what is it? What do you see?” Piper asks
Phoebe comes out of the premonition and just stares at Piper with her mouth wide open
“What did you see?” Piper asks again. Phoebe glances at Pipers stomach and then back at her.
“You….that baby…” Phoebe says trying to explain
“What about my baby?” Piper asks fearful, it may not be the phoebe she knows but its still phoebe.
Phoebe shakes her head beginning to stare at the floor, “that’s why he….OMG PIPER!!”<br>“WHAT?” Piper asks getting impatient.
Phoebe starts to pace around “How could you not tell me this? You’re married for heavens sakes…….”<br>“Phoebe just tell me what you saw!” Piper exclaims
“Dan isn’t the father.” Phoebe says simply
Piper’s eyebrows go up quickly in surprise but she recovers “What are you talking about?”<br>“He’s not the father, Leo is!” Phoebe says not looking at Piper
“How, how would you know that?” Piper asks hoping Phoebe had figured out that she has the wrong Piper
“Does Dan know?” Phoebe asks ignoring her question
“I don’t know” Piper says slowly faltering “I’m a little surprised myself” she says without thinking
“Surprised? How could you be surprised, you slept with Leo!” Phoebe exclaims making Leo come to see what all the commotion was
“What are you yelling about?” Leo asks
Phoebe and Piper turn their heads toward him both with a different look of shock on their face.

Paige looks through the little book trying not to laugh, "Piper has a diary??"

"Yeah, its not really a big deal, she just writes in it from time to time, keeping track of her kids and things, says what kind of things we all talk about, pretty boring stuff but, must be the only way she can stop from trying to blowing us up from time to time, I know, I've read it" Phoebe says smiling

“What, and not have a few secrets of my own” Phoebe smiles, “okay, it’s a long shot but maybe this little book can give us some answers, into Piper’s what ifs”<br>Paige shakes her head, “We can hope.”<br>
“What are you two yelling about?” Leo asks again.
Phoebe glares at him, “I know.”<br>“Know what?” he says
Piper stays silent trying to figure out what was going on, it was happening too fast.
“Don’t play innocent with me, Leo.” Phoebe says pointing at Piper, “how could you? Does dan know?”<br>It finally registering, Leo sends a guilty glance to Piper and then finally looks at Phoebe, “Not unless Piper has told him.” He says
“Is the baby yours then?” Phoebe asks incredously
Piper studies the floor watching leo from the corner of her eye as he nods.
“OMG!!” Phoebe exclaims
“Phoebe don’t tell him, he’s never trusted me don’t make it worse by-“ Leo begins but Phoebe interrupts
“I don’t think I’m the one that would make it worse, he’s got to know! This was supposed to be his first child, not….omg” Phoebe starts to pace, “I’ve got to go, I can’t be in the same room as you two.” She turns around and and leaves slamming the door behind her.
“The premonition spell you cast didn’t work huh?” Leo ask quietly
Piper bites her lip, “Apparently not” Piper shakes her head and closes her eyes wondering where the heck she was, and what kind of touble she’d be in if her sisters didn’t get her out of there.

“Oh listen to this…..’I love Leo. Its as simple as that, I have no regrets about ever marrying him no matter what we’ve been through. I know I made the right decision and I have never looked back, our children are proof that we’re meant to be’ oh and what about this, ‘Paige keeps searching for what she already has, she worries me but I try to stay out of it, keeping to myself that I had to go through the same thing. Sometimes she seems so lost, when she has a map right in front of her that it takes a lot of self control to correct her mistakes, she’s learning though, we’ve all grown.” Paige reads from the book, and then looks up smiling, “we need to figure out what is up with this girl so I can give her a hug.”<br>Phoebe smiles and grabs the book, “oh here’s something, ‘i’ve said before that I have no regrets in my life, today I was reminded that that was a lie.’ “ phoebe’s eyes open a little wider and read ahead.
“Hey don’t do that, read it all to me!” Paige says
Phoebe looks up, “she- I - ..” Phoebe stutters and then clears her throat, “she knows a lot more than we think Paige.” She shakes her head, “I’ve never read something this personal in here.”<br>“Well read it to me!” Paige says feeling the Halliwell impatience gene creep into her blood once more.
“ ok, ok, let me see….’I wish more than anything that I could’ve let Dan know sooner everything he needed to, Thats one reason why i chose leo, I could never be honest with him, had i, he wouldn’t of gotten hurt as much, Leo is my soulmate, but Dan was one of the best things that could’ve happened to me, he showed me that I could lead a normal life, even when it wasn’t possible. Piper sits down on a stool at the counter exhausted at what this day had brought, this morning all she had to worry about was Prue changing the weather from school. She put a hand on her stomach, not wanting to look at Leo. Where was she?

"Piper?" a voice says quietly behind her.
Piper sits up straight, that was a voice she hadn’t heard in a very long time, she turns around and says "Mom?"

"Hello sweetie… Leo" Patty nods at Leo and walks to Piper "How are you holding up?" she says hugging piper, "I just talked to Phoebe."
"Mom, what are…" Piper went to ask but she remembered where she wasn’t since she didn’t know where she was. "oh I uh..." tried to say, speechless at the sight of her mother, aged, not a ghost, not even reincarnated like at her wedding, just a real person.
"Its going to be ok, your sister is out of town so she can’t calm phoebe down but I was able to convince her not to tell Dan…yet. Honey what happe-" Patty says to a still speechless Piper.
"Mom, why aren’t you dead?" Piper interrupts not thinking once again
"Why aren’t I…what? Why would you ask such a thing? My destiny must be to grow into an old woman just like your grams I suppose, but what does that have to do with anything?" a confused Patty asks.
"I – I don’t know" Piper says trying to cover her blunder, "It doesn’t matter, maybe you should talk to uh Leo, because this is just a little to stressful for me and our I mean my baby."
Patty turns to Leo and they walk off into a corner leaving Piper alone "C’mon Girls" she whispers to herself, "I can’t take much more of this drama."

" ‘Phoebe has over come so much in her lifetime, it inspires me when every time I see her she has a smile on her face. Through her divorce and so many lost loves, she’s come through it all with a little souvenir she named Andy, They are so great, I don’t know what I would do without her. I envy her so much sometimes I have to take a step out of the picture and take a deep breath. For one, she is able to come up against every challenge she is faced with and conquer it when I would rather give up and lead my normal life. My mom, she never got to know when she was younger, thanks to magic she finally got to meet her but I envy that too. Call me crazy but sometimes I wish I wouldn’t have my young memories of her so that I wouldn’t have to feel the pain of when she had to live, there isn’t a day that goes by that I always wonder, What if she hadn’t died, so many things would be different I wouldn’t even know where to begin to describe the chain reactions .’ " Paige reads raising her eyebrows and then looks up at Phoebe, "did I just read a what if?"
"Do you think that’s it?" Phoebe asks excited they may have found an answer
Paige smiles feeling the same excitement, "Theres only one way to find out."
"And what’s that?" Phoebe asks standing up.
"A good old fashioned spell." Paige says heading to the attic.

Piper lays her head down on the counter at P3 thinking about what mess she was in, she knew it had to have something to do with that darklighters arrow…..but what? She shook her head and glanced at her mother and Leo arguing quietly away from her out of the corner of her eye. She sighed and rested a hand on her stomach, she knew she couldn’t get really stressed because of the baby, it was due soon and she didn’t want any complications no matter what world the little girl was born into.

Paige is rummaging through the same box in the attic while Phoebe reads through more of Prue’s research. "This is amazing, I wish she would have told us about this stuff, it would’ve been useful"
"She didn’t want it to be something that everyone knew about, it has things in there she’s not sure the elders even know about" Paige says her voice muffled from her head inside the long box. "ok here it is" Paige holds up a piece of paper, "are the candles ready?"
"Ages ago, dear," Phoebe says putting the book down.
Paige rolls her eyes "Ok Mom" She says
Phoebe smiles, "That’s right!" she says getting up and lighting one more candle
"Alright, say this spell with me and I’m not sure what’s going to happen so we have to hope for the best, just replace the blank spots with Pipers name and then her what if," Paige says holding the piece of paper out in front of them.
Phoebe looks at the paper and they repeat the spell out loud together.


These words will travel through the minds,

White lights swirl in the circle of candles and a movie like screen appears and they see flashes of Piper and Dan’s wedding, Pipers mother taking a picture of her in her prom dress, things like that the girls never got to experience, as tears come to phoebe’s eyes seeing things with her another scene flashes, Phoebe having her premonition, knowing about the baby being Leo’s and then they see a live vision of Piper at P3.
"Phoebe, Paige where are you guys?" Piper says to herself, and Phoebe and Paige glance at each other.
"Piper?" Phoebe asks stepping closer to the circle "Can you hear me?"
Piper looks up and looks around, she could’ve sworn she heard Phoebe
"Okay you can hear us good," Paige says, "don’t ask questions because we don’t have all the answers, don’t worry we’re working on getting you out of there"
Piper nods, still not understanding where they are.
"sweetie just hang tight, we’re going to figure this out, we know where you are, we just don’t know how to get you out…" Phoebe says looking at Piper
"I have an idea." Paige says suddenly making Piper jump and Phoebe look at Paige
"What is it?" Phoebe asks
"Remember when the source had piper and was putting her in an alternate reality, maybe we could use that spell to get her out we’d have to change it a little but it could work." Paige says quickly "You stay here, I’m going to go run and get the spell, hopefully it will work." Paige orbs to the attic leaving Phoebe standing there.
Piper whispers so that only Phoebe can hear, "what took you guys so long"
"Well it was kinda tough wondering where the heck you were" Phoebe smirks and says "It was really fun, seeing what interesting life you could’ve led"
Piper shakes her head, "you’re lucky you’re not here with me" she says quietly glancing over at Patty and Leo making sure they hadn’t heard her talking to ‘herself’.
Phoebe laughs as Paige orbs down with the spell "Got it, Lets do this thing." Paige says, feeling relieved that its almost over
"Piper!!!!" a voice storms over on the screen making everyone turn
Piper turns around to see a fuming Dan " I just had a talk with Phoebe…." He says taking deep breaths.
"Uh-oh" Phoebe says "We need to do this quick……"
"Uhh Dan, hi well don’t worry because I have it all worked out, say the spell now girls……" Piper says quickly staying where she is.
"How could you." Dan says hurt walking a little closer to her
"ANYTIME NOW!!" Piper says
"Who are you talking to? A spell can’t get you out of this mess." Dan says
"Now Paige now," Phoebe says frantically
"Alright alright I’m rewriting it…."
Just then Leo orbs in, "whats going on any progress……Is that piper?"
"Leo?" Piper says looking around at the Leo she can see, he’s clearly not talking
"honey help me fast"
"Honey? I’m your husband Piper!!" Dan says glaring daggers at Leo
Paige finishes rewriting the spell getting butterflies in her stomach, hoping the spell works, "say it with me." She says holding the spell out in front of Phoebe

Life from life and mind from mind
Her spirit now will disentwine
She’ll part her soul from this what if and journey home

The screen zaps closed while Paige, Phoebe and Leo wait in silence around a still Piper.
“Why isn’t it working??” Leo asks anxiously
“I don’t know Leo, that spell was…well, kinda what iffy” Paige says frowning at the word play.
Just then, some white lights appear overhead them and swirl slowly over Piper and then sink into her. Piper sits up taking a deep breath “OMG I never want to do that again.” She says as Leo hugs her near tears.
Phoebe smiles finally, that was Piper, wake up from an alternate reality, pissed instead of drained.
Leo helps Piper up and she walks around, almost pacing, “That was the strangest thing I’ve ever been through, well aside from a demon made out of human skin and Prue crashing through my wedding on motorcycle, it was the strangest thing” Piper says putting her arms around Leo. “I was so scared.”<br>Leo strokes her hair gently “so was I Piper….so was I.”
“Well, now that that is taken care of, I need to go check on my son, and see how his new power is doing” Phoebe says shaking her head slightly
“and I need to find my ring.” Paige adds
“Wait, how did you guys know, how to find me, in the what if or whatever it was?” Piper asks
Phoebe and Paige exchange guilty looks holding back smiles.
Piper looks at them suspiciously as pain shoots through her stomach, “ouch!” she says laying a hand on her stomach.
“What is it piper?” Leo asks concerned
The pain still there Piper is unable to answer for a moment until it leaves says “that I think, was a contraction, Leo”

Screaming was all you could hear, Leo smiles to himself holding his new baby daughter, when she was born, everyone in the room shed a tear or two, especially Piper. The little baby was asleep in his arms and he was walking around the manor letting the Charmed Ones rest, all of them were exhausted and his kids were going to be home from school soon, he had sent word to the Magic School that they needed to come home for a day or two. He walked past Piper’s and his room and looked in on his wife. She was sleeping and rightfully so the labor had been 10 hours long, the longest of all of her children. Leo walks downstairs and into the living room and begins to investigate their family photo’s. There was a picture of the sisters before Wyatt was even born, a picture of them all the day he was born. Leo let his eyes wander around and saw the picture of his other son Chris. He paid close attention to him all the time. There was a picture of all three children on Prue’s fourth birthday, cake all over their faces. He smiles and looks down at his new baby.

“Well what will your name be Precious?” he whispers to the sleeping baby. He heads back upstairs
“Priscilla, Polly, ha mommy would like that one, Paula, Persephone, no better not remind mommy and daddy of gods and goddesses huh?” he shakes his head and walks into the bedroom not noticing Piper half awake lying on the bed. “Hmm Primrose, Paris, Peggy, Patricia, Pat- Patricia…hmm...” He says when he sees Piper.
“Patricia?” Piper says smiling up at him.
“Just came to me.” Leo says sitting down on the bed after she had scooted over a little for him.
“I like it Leo.” Piper says sleepily looking at the little baby, and she smiles “It fits.”<br>Leo nods and kisses her gently. “How are you feeling sweetheart?”<br>“Better than I should, we should just call her Patience because she definetly had enough of it, 10 hours my God.”<br>Leo looks away smiling knowing if she saw it, he could get slapped. “Well Patricia or Patience?”<br>Piper looks from him to the baby and then back at him smiling really happy trying to decide.
“Well I would always go with Phoebe personally.” Phoebe says from the doorframe interrupting the moment Piper and Leo were sharing.
Piper looks up at her. “Now why would we want ANOTHER Phoebe?”<br>“Oh I’m hurt.” Phoebe says walking into the bedroom farther and sitting in a chair near the bed.
“Paige would always work too, but I can live with Matthew for Wyatt.” Paige says walking in and sitting on Phoebe.
Piper can’t help but smile at her sisters as Leo says “Why would we want to name our child after either of you? All you do is cause trouble!”<br>Piper laughs at that and lays back on her elbow.
“Hey!” Paige and Phoebe say at the same time and then look at each other and laugh.
Piper shakes her head at them, “I love you two, but no, simply no.” she smiles at them.
Phoebe and Paige look at each other once more to see if the either was going to say anything trying not to repeat what they had done just before.
“Fine.” Paige says playing hurt.
“yeah, that’s fine” Phoebe says.
“Ohhh” Piper says throwing a pillow at them. “get out! Right now just go
“but….but, but Piper!” Phoebe and Paige object
“Buts aside, you heard me, go! Unless you want me to get on your case for reading my diary” Piper says pointing at the door.
Paige and Phoebe look at each other and quickly get up and walk out and when they’re gone Leo shuts the door and walks back to Piper.
Outside the door Phoebe and Paige stands there looking at each other for a moment.
"How did she know that?" Paige asks
Phoebe shrugs and starts walking to her room "Thats Piper! Hopefully she'll forget so we don't find out butts being blown up!" she says as she reaches her room.

“They did what?” He says sitting down.
“You don't want to know.” Piper says shaking her head trying not to smile.
Leo laughs. "Ok, so where were we."
"Patricia or Patience" Piper says.

Paige sat down in her apartment on a couch and stared at the ceiling. Ryan her fiancé would be home any minute. She couldn’t believe it had been 8 months since they both found out about each others magic. It surprised her that when she had run away when their magic had been suspended, she found everything she had wanted. She didn’t seem like the type that would ever want to settle down, but Ryan changed that. She looked over at a picture on the table next to her of them and there sat her ring. Her jaw dropped and she picked it up and put it snuggly on her finger shaking her head to herself. It had been right there the whole time.

Phoebe walked to her sons room and before she made her presence known she watched him. He was just like his father sometimes. He had a quiet determination about him and was getting his power down quickly. She was thankful Jason had decided to give her custody when he realized that he couldn’t handle a magical child fulltime. Phoebe thought about Piper’s diary and how it said that she envied her. Phoebe had always thought it was the other way around. Piper always had everything together, even when spiraled into a world of her deepest want. She overcame every challenge that came towards her. Phoebe walked over to her son and gave him a hug.
“Mom? What are you doing?” Andy asked
“Hugging my son now hush.” Phoebe said hugging him tighter and then releasing him. “how about we work on that new power?”<br>Piper wrote Patience Lillian Halliwell in cursive with a magic pen in her album a month after the baby was born. She smiled at it and then leaned over to check on her newborn baby. “look patty there’s your name.” She said to the baby in the bassinet beside her and then closed the book. She got up and put it on a shelf and noticed the pictures that were arranged on the wall next to the bookcase in the living room. There was Wyatt Chris and Prue all smiling together and then a newly hung frame of baby Patty in the middle of them. On the opposite wall was a picture of Piper and her two sisters. One with Paige and the other with Prue. Secretly it had taken her a long time to not compare Paige to Prue in her mind. Chris changed that when he was born. She noticed how much comparing two people could change you attitude towards everything. Piper looked over the pictures one more time and smiled at her family. The pictures around her house reminded her of what the past held what the present was holding and What the Future Holds.
