Hey, this story takes place about a year after Prue's death. It's basically a re-count of events in the first 3 years of their lives as witches. It's all from Piper's view as she writes about it in her diary. Anything in " " are parts of the diary entry.

“Dear Diary,
It’s been one year since Prue left us. God, I miss her so much. She was my only big sister. It’s just not the same without her. Paige is great but she’s not Prue. Phoebe…well, she’s Phoebe. Honestly, I don’t know how Prue dealt with her sometimes. I just miss we had another day, just a minute longer. I just don’t know anymore. Phoebe’s home, I hear her yelling for me. I guess that’s all for now. ~Piper”<br>
I wanted to be like you
I wanted everything
So I tried to be like you
And I got swept away
I didn't know that it was so cold
And you needed someone to show you the way
So I took your hand and we figured out

“Dear Diary,
It’s me again. Just thinking about Prue. All during supper, I just kept thinking and thinking. I remember the first time she said ‘I love you’ to me. It was on Friday the 13th…”

Phoebe: So, Prue vanquished the demon of fear.
Prue: Well, at least put him back in the bottle for another thirteen hundred years.
Piper: Wait, whoa, what? What happened?
Phoebe: Well, he pushed her into a pool and then...
Prue: And mum helped me out.
Piper: Mum?
Prue: Okay, I know it sounds crazy but I saw her. It was just like my dream. She was this incredible vision, so peaceful and she took my hand and brought me to the surface.
Piper: That doesn't sound crazy. I wish I could've seen her.
Phoebe: Me too.
Piper: I'm just glad you're alright.
Prue: I love you.
Piper: What did you just say?
Prue: I love you.
Piper: I think that's the first time you've said that to me.
Prue: Yeah, I know, I wish I had of said it a long time ago. Ever since mum died I've been afraid to say it. I didn't want to lose anybody else.
Piper: Well, we're not going anywhere.

“…That was definitely the first time she ever said it. Then, there was that time when Drazi came. I remember he broke up our double date with Jack and Dan. We went home and were depressed together.”

Piper: We’re better off without them.
Prue: Certainly not worth crying over.
Piper: I have never hated someone so much in my entire life.
Prue: Me either.
Piper: Although I have to admit some of the things Dan said were kind of true. I do think about Leo
sometimes.
Prue: Jack wasn’t wrong when he said I was on the rebound.
Piper: Still it’s all so weird. One minute the four of us are laughing and having a great time…<br>Prue: And the next we’re acting like we hate each other. Uhh…<br>Piper: What?
Prue: I was just thinking about Drazi.
Piper: No way. He couldn’t have had anything to do with this. We vanquished him.
Prue: Jack’s scum.
Piper: So is Dan.
Prue: Are you scum?
Piper: No, I’m not scum.
Prue: I knew you weren’t.

I'm sinking slowly

“Now, see, I can’t do that with Paige. It’d just be weird for some reason. Oh yeah, the Demon of Illusion. He was a good one. Pulling Bloody Mary out of a movie to kill us.”

(Piper runs into the bathroom and shuts the door. She looks around for a place to hide. She gets in the shower and pulls the shower curtain across.)
Piper: I am being stalked by psycho killers and I hide in the shower.
(She hears the door open and she stands still. Then she hears footsteps getting closer and closer to the shower. She crouches down and you see a shadow through the shower curtain and an arm reaches up and pulls the shower curtain across. Piper screams. It's Prue and she screams too. They calm down and Piper gets out of the shower.)
Prue: Okay, okay, oh, oh, at least they're not in the bathroom with us, that's-that's kinda good.
(The door opens and Bloody Mary walks in.)
Bloody Mary: Pretty little girls.
(They scream again and run out the other door.)

“There was that time that I died. Yeah, it sounds weird, I know, but I did. Phoebe turned back time so everything got erased but still…Prue was the one that was there. She used her powers of hundreds of people just to get me to the hospital.”<br>
Piper: I don't know why we're bothering to do this.
Prue: In case time doesn't reset itself.
(Prue puts a chair against the door.)
Piper: If time doesn't reset itself, this table against that door is not gonna help much.
Prue: Yeah, well, then we better start thinking about what would, okay? Because if Leo doesn't succeed, we're gonna have to figure out what we're gonna do.
(They walk into the living room.)
Piper: We're gonna do talk shows and book signings and movie deals and then taken by the CIA and dissected.
Prue: Yeah, how can you be joking about this, Piper?
Piper: Who's joking?
Prue: Well, I'm not. Alright, I'm scared. And you should be too. Okay, our lives, Piper, everything that we've worked for could be completely destroyed with-with one stupid mistake. Our entire future, our entire destiny could be wiped out just like that. (Prue clicks her fingers and a gunshot goes off. Piper gasps.) What was that? (Piper looks down and sees blood on her shirt. Her hands are shaking.) Piper? Piper. (Prue drops the Book of Shadows and grabs Piper before she falls. Prue looks at her hand and it has Piper's blood on it.) Oh!
Outside, Alice is standing on top of a van. She lowers a rifle.
Alice: I killed a wicked witch! The wicked witch is dead! I killed the wicked witch!
(The policemen grab her and pull her off the van. They push her to the ground and handcuff her. Darryl takes her away.)
Back to inside the Manor, Piper is laying on the floor trembling. Prue is holding her and has a towel pressed against Piper's wound.
Prue: I know, I know, it's okay. Leo! Leo! Okay, we have to get you to the hospital. Come on.
(Prue lifts Piper up.)
Outside, Prue is helping Piper out to the car.
Prue: Leo!
Elana: Miss Halliwell, please, what is going on? (Prue opens the door to her car and helps Piper onto the back seat.) Miss Halliwell, please.
Prue: Leo! (Prue gets in the car and starts the engine. She drives to the end of the driveway but everyone is blocking her way out.) Move! (She honks the horn.)
Elana: Miss Halliwell, what is going on?
Prue: Move! (She continues to honk the horn. She gets back out of the car.) Move out of my way! I need to get her to the hospital, move! Move out of my way! What's wrong with you people? Leo!
(She gets furious and uses her power on Elana and her cameraman. Everyone starts running away and she uses her power on anyone in her way. They land on cars and hard on the ground. Prue gets back in her car, drives down the driveway and tears off down the street.)

“She practically risked her life just to help me. That’s what big sisters do. How about a non-supernatural experience? Well, kind of. When I came back from ‘Up There’ with Leo. It was awful, I mean, they had just told us that we had to stop seeing each other or they’d reassign Leo. And guess what? Prue was there to help me understand that it was worth giving up, to fight for us.”<br>

Piper: This is really weird. My supplies are, like, gone. There's no booze, there's no mineral water and we're even out of pretzels. Plus the books are all messed up. How did this happen in one lousy day?
Prue: One day? You're kidding, right? Piper, you have been gone for one month.
Piper: What are you talking about?
Prue: Here. (She picks up a newspaper off of the bench.) Check the date.
Piper: October? It's October? How is this possible? I guess time moves a little bit differently up there.
Prue: Yeah, well, it doesn't keep your head from being bitten off down here.
Piper: Are you talking about demons?
Prue: Oh, no, something so much worse than demons. Sisters. Especially Phoebe. We thought that you had abandoned us.
Piper: That's ridiculous. I would never abandon you guys. If I had known I was gone this long I would've called or orbed or somehow let you know I was okay.
Prue: Okay, why didn't Leo?
Piper: Leo was battling demons of his own. Wait a minute, what's today? There's a band. The-the-the Barenaked Ladies are playing here tomorrow. Didn't anybody bother to call them?
Prue: I-I don't really think that Phoebe knew. (Piper picks up the phone but Prue puts it back on its cradle.) Hey, you know what? Piper, can we just talk about what happened up there first?
Piper: Sure, uh, unfortunately the longer I'm back, the fuzzier it all seems to get. I think they do that on purpose, they're very big on mystery.
Prue: Okay, do you remember anything?
Piper: Just feelings mostly. Good ones. Peaceful and whole and then it all went to crap when they said Leo and I had to stop seeing each other or else.
Prue: Or else what?
Piper: Or else they'd reassign him and we'd never see each other again. Just because it didn't work out with mum and her Whitelighter, I don't understand why I'm being punished.
Prue: I'm sure that you guys will figure out a way around this. Come here. (They hug.) Leo would never let you go without a fight, you know that.

“What about the time that Phoebe turned evil? Well, the first time of many. When the Woogyman possessed her.”<br>
Darryl: I’m occupied right now. Andy would like to ask you a few questions.
(Prue and Piper walk over to the manor.)
Piper: Wait, if Andy is in the house and Paul was in the house, there must be a way for us to get in.
Prue: We better hope so otherwise there’s no way to get to the Book of Shadows. (The door opens and Andy’s there. Prue and Piper hide behind a bush.) Freeze them.
Piper: No, wait.
(Piper waits till he is in the middle of the door then freezes him.)
Prue: What was that?
Piper: The house is letting him out, right? This is the only second it’s guard is down.
Prue: Good point.
Piper: Thank you.
(They walk inside and see Phoebe frozen.)
Prue: Oh my. She’s frozen.
Piper: Good.
Prue: No, no, no. Remember our powers don’t work on good witches.
Piper: Oh, that means she’s...
Prue: We’ve lost her. Let’s go get her back. Run. (They run up the stairs. Andy and Phoebe unfreeze.)

“Or the time with Baby Matthew? That was a classic moment.”<br>
Prue: Alright, I got hyper-allergenic wipes, diaper rash cream and super absorbent diapers.
Piper: What are we supposed to do with the...
Prue: Just toss it.
Piper: Alright.
Dan: Hey, don’t forget to clean up under his…(Matthew pees. It squirts up and Piper freezes it just in time before it hits them. Dan freezes too.)
Prue: Okay, so maybe only one of us should change him.
Piper: Be my guest.
Prue: On the count of three. Ready? One, two, three. (Piper unfreezes it and Prue uses her power to move it and it misses them.)

Please can you tell me
So I can finally see

“Classic, right? What would I have done without Prue? I don’t think I would be where I am now. I probably would have given up my powers and lived a normal life. So, basically, Prue was my life. I know there’s nothing I can do now but I just wish I could see her one more time…if even for just a minute longer.”

Piper: Hear now the words of the witches, the secrets we hid in the night. The oldest of Gods are invoked here, the great magic is sought. (A candle flickers. She's surrounded by herb jars, chalices and other ritualistic items.) In this night and in this battle, I call upon the ancient power. (She looks up and closes her eyes.) Bring back my sister. Bring back the Power of Three. (She keeps her eyes closed for a prayerful beat, then she opens them, looks at the candle, but sees nothing. Blindly determined, she starts flipping through pages until she finds another spell, To Call a Lost Witch. She expertly finds and mixes certain ingredients into a silver bowl as she chants from the book.) Power of the witches' rise. Course unseen across the skies. Come to us, we call you near. Come to us and settle here. (She slices the left finger of her left hand so that blood can symbolically spill directly from her heart and into the bowl.) Blood to blood, I summon thee. Blood to blood, return to me.
(A faint gust of wind flickers the candle, but not much else. She buries her face in her hands in defeat.)
