Esmeralda I just got a chance to read the ending of P3H2O because I was having computer problems and I love it! It's really, really good. I can't wait until you update again because I love the episode you're doing now (the name has slipped my mind.)

I like the idea of Phoebe writing a letter to Chris. I'd definitely read it.

OH!!! SciFi! Aurora!! You both are absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you so *VERY*, very much!!

Aurora, I'm very excited about a sequel to Aftermath of a Wish!! Hopefully it's also something I can use!! I can already hear Phoebe's voice in my head starting to quote her letter to Chris, so I'm already starting to write it down!! I don't know if it will be as good as CBL--I don't think the writers in S6 are as good as the ones in S1-3, but by adding your two stories, it just might be!!!

Thecharmedone24, I'm so glad you liked the way I handled P3 H20. Since it's one of my favorite eppis, I really wanted to do a good job with it. I'm also glad that you like my idea of the letter from Phoebe to Chris. I hope to be able to write it by the time I'm done posting CBL.

Speaking of, this is one of my favorite eppis, too. Not as emotional as P3 H20, but still fun. In case you're wondering, it's Ms. Hellfire. SciFi, I also love the sisters like this--these are sisters who happen to be witches, not witches who happen to be sisters, and that's when I loved them the most. And here's Part Forty-Nine:

We waited for the door to open, but then a woman came up behind us, coming out of the dining room, carrying a gun. She fired at us, but you spun around and froze the bullets, and then Prue used her power to make them fly back at the woman, hitting her in the chest, and down she went. We ran over to her, starting at the blood pouring out of the wound.

“Oh, my God!” cried Prue in shock and horror. “She’s not a demon!” She checked her pulse. "And she's dead!"

You grabbed her purse and dumped it out on the table. There were a number of wallets. I checked them and told you guys, “Multiple aliases and foreign currency.”<br>
You nodded. “Throwing stars.”<br>
Prue wound up the lipstick and a blade popped up. “Not exactly Avon calling.”<br>
You picked up a key with a tag on it. “ ‘Sutro Heights Apartments.’ " you read. “That’s a little scary. She didn’t live too far from here.”<br>
“What’s even scarier,” I put in, “Is that we’ve never been attacked by a mortal before.”<br>
Prue still look shooked-up. “Yeah, I’ve never killed a mortal before either.”<br>
I put my arm around her. “Prue, you had no choice.”<br>
She shrugged. “Still doesn’t make it any easier.”<br>
You’d been looking through the woman’s planner and now asked, “Does it make it easier if the mortal was a hit woman?”<br>
Prue looked to see what you had found. “A list of names. So?”<br>
“Yeah, look closer,” you told her. “We’re on it. Or at least one of us is. ‘P. Halliwell’, and other than a "M. Steadwell", we’re the only other name not crossed off.”<br>
“A hit woman,” Prue said, trying to assimilate it. “Someone obviously hired her.”<br>
You’d still been flipping through the book. Now you nodded. “Worse than that, someone who knew we have powers. I mean, look!” and you handed her the book..

Prue read, “Prue – Telekinesis, Piper – Power to freeze, Phoebe – Negligible.”<br>
“What?” I cried, insulted on behalf of my beloved premonitions. “Negligible?!”<br>
You nodded. “Well, that explains why she drove us to the front door and surprised us from behind.”<br>
But Prue was still confused. “So, why would a demon hire a mortal to kill us. It doesn’t make sense.”<br>
We couldn’t make any sense out of it either, but we soon would.

*Oh, and the part you just posted...I love the part when they find that the people after them think Phoebe's power is negligible...aw poor Phoebe!!! After her power was so useful in P3 H20, she finds that demons consider her power completely unimportant compared to the other two.

Poor Phoebe! No wonder power is so seductive to her if everybody thinks she's negligible.

And I really feel sorry for Prue. Certainly she had no choice, but with her sense of morality, it must have been so hard to learn that she'd killed a mortal.

omgoodness.... it only took me about an hour but I am all caught up WHOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it was sad.... and it was sad..... and it was funny and "awww so cute" and sad .... and then BAM!!!!! we jumped right into a full out shooting!!!

Es, you are definitley doing the best episodes of this show..... and i know what one this one is coming up.... it has one of my favorite guys in the whole show in it...... yay! .......

back to the one with sam and them..... honestly great job.... and there was a special touch that you added that i liked where "prue was telling her sisters about a convo w/ sam and she didn't give them her response because then the sisters started comforting her...." i loved the touch...... and i love your work.... you're doing a great job of retelling this..... you don't miss an important beat for nothin!

GREAT JOB ESMERALDA.... I TRULY DO ADMIRE ALL THE TIME AND EFFORT YOU MUST HAVE PUT INTO THIS OF GOING BACK THROUGH ALL THE EPPIES AND REWRITING THEM SO THAT THEY WOULD WORK INTO YOUR STORYLINE OF THIS BEING A LETTER FROM PHOEBE TO PIPER REMINDING HER OF HERS AND LEO'S LOVE!!!!

SciFi & Silvermoon, I agree--after all that Phoebe's premonitions helped out in P3 H20, for them to count it as negilble must've really hurt! But I like that I made her *insulted* rather than wishing for an active one--so she's also realizing how important the premonitons are--she's grown up a little, too!! Although that won't prevent her from getting jealous in this very next section!!!

Thank you so much, Oddball!! Yes, your emoticons more than made up for individual reviews, even if I would've enjoyed them!! Thanks for thinking I'm doing a good job of novellizing, all of you, it means so much to me!!

I'm already starting to write down my newest story, and so far I'm happy with it. Anyone have any ideas for a title?

But back to this one. I hope you're not too disappointed with me for this eppi, Oddball--I love it, too, but a lot of it doesn't have a lot to do with Piper & Leo, so Ms. Hellfire or YOU KNOW WHO (both of them) (Don't want to spoil it
for Red!) aren't as much part of it as I'd like them to be. One of these days, after i write the next one, I may go back and add all the stuff from the show that's skipped in this version. Poor thing will be HUGE, but fun!!

Anyway, back to the current story. Here's Party Fifty!

Later, I was coming in through the kitchen, when I heard noises. With me was our latest innocent, Marcy Steadwell, the M. Steadwell on the hit woman’s list. She was a witch-wanna be, who was very excited to find some real ones. I now motioned her to stay put. Sneaking around the corner, I saw Dan looking at the broken window. You were standing close by, holding the phone.

“I can have my crew install some temporary windows some time by tonight,” he told you.

You smiled, “Great, thanks.”<br>
“You waiting for a call?” he asked, and I wondered, too.

You nodded. “Yeah, I'm just a little worried about Prue.”<br>
He smiled. “I wouldn’t blame you after what happened. What makes you think it was a drive-by?”<br>
You shrugged. “Um, I don’t know. A wild guess, I guess.”<br>
Then he turned towards you. “I want you to move in with me.”<br>
“Huh?” you asked, surprised and confused, and I had to bite my tongue not to cry out in surprise.

He nodded. “At least until the permanent windows are installed. If it’s your sisters you’re worried about, they can move in too. Since Jenny moved back with her folks. there’s just plenty of room.”<br>
But you weren’t so sure. “Uh, I don’t know if that’s such a great idea. Some of us don’t wear pajamas.” Pajamas? What were they, I wondered.

“I’m serious. Because if things worked out, maybe you could stay permanently. If you wanted to.”<br>
“What about me?” Marcy asked, scared.

“Who’s that?” you called.

Rats! I wanted to hear your answer! But shrugging, I called out, “Piper?”<br>
“In here!” you called, before telling Dan, “I don’t know what to say,” and he replied, “Say you’ll think about it,” just as Marcy and I walked in.

“Oh,” cried Marcy. “Is he a war--” But before she could finish, you froze both her and Dan.”<br>
“Who’s she?” you asked.

“Would you believe M. Steadwell. How’s Dan?”<br>
You shrugged. “Just asked me to move in. Where’s Morris?”<br>
“Uh, he’s at the morgue putting the hit woman’s body under Marcy’s name. Where’s Prue?”<br>
“Way overdue. She’s assuming the identity of the hit woman.”<br>
I was shocked. “She’s what?!”<br>
You nodded. “Yeah, and guess what. She’s got a new power; she can astral-project now.”<br>
“Are you kidding me?” I cried.

“Nope.”<br>
“Are you kidding me?” I asked, wanting to be sure.

But you still insisted. “Nope.”<br>
“I hate her!” I cried, seething with jealousy that she got a new active power and I didn’t have one, only one that was counted as neglible.

“I know,” you said, sympathetically. “All right, I’m gonna send Dan home; you keep Marcy in the house until this is all over.”<br>
“Yeah, all right,” I agreed. “Then we’ll talk,” and you agreed.

I've finally caught up, and your lastest update is fantastic. I loved how you showed Phoebe's jealousy-as Oddball and Aurora already said. And Phoebe's response to Pipers joke to Dan:

I loved that part from the episode...poor Phoebe...Prue always gets the new powers and she's still stuck with a 'negligible' passive power.

Ah, and Dan is starting to get really annoying now with asking Piper out of the blue to move in with him. That was weird of him. I really don't understand him and I'm thrilled he left the show for good at the end of this season!

Oh, and I'm glad you're already starting on that letter idea...can't wait to see it posted!!!

I think you've captured Phoebe's reactions exactly as they would've been. I remember the conversation they had about Phoebe's negligable powers too and I thought it was quite funny although I do feel a bit bad for her.

But actually I think if Phoebe had a non-passive power from the beginning I don't know if she would've handled it well...I think she was better off not to have gotten an aggressive power like telekenesis (sp)? I mean can you imagine if her and Prue's powers were switched like they were in Love Hurts? I don't think Prue would very much like having to see visions (for ex in P3H20 would she have been able to do it?) And Phoebe actually was thankful for her premonitions at the end of Love Hurts.

Like Red said, it's not just Phoebe who's jealous, lol! That's such a sister-like reaction from both of them, sort of teaming up in their envy against the "perfect" older sister!

Edited to add: For the title of your Chris story, how about "No Greater Love" -- taken from the Bible in reference to laying down one's life for a friend, or in this case, a brother? Or maybe you could take a particularly character-defining line from S6 and condense it for a title? Just a couple of thoughts.

WOW! I'm absolutely flabberghasted by the response!! You guys totally blow me away!!!

Roxy, I'm glad you picked up on the pajamas line; I had fun with that one and hoped someone would--I know my friends, the ones I originally wrote the story for didn't, so I'm glad you did!!

Funny, I found myself liking Dan more at this point when he asked Piper to move in--yes, it was sudden, but it was because he was concerned after the driveby shooting, and I especially liked the fact that he invited her sisters, too.

Just when I thought Phoebe had come to accept her passive power as important, this happens and she reacts in such a way that tells me otherwise!! But you're absolutely right, Red; it made for a great sisterly-bond moment, since Piper was a bit jealous, too!

I also agree with you, TCO24--if Prue had premonitions, even without active powers, I think she would go running off trying to fix things without letting her younger sisters know. She'd also be a lot more frustrated by not having an active power than I think Phoebe had. I was glad when Phoebs finally got her levitation power, since that was *sorta* active, especially after Piper got her blow-up power. As for her empathy power, it would have been nice if she still had that when Cole was around!!!

Red, as long as you came right out and asked and since although they play a big part in the eppi, they don't play a very big part in my story, I'll tell you that the big baddie in this eppi is someone you've seen in S6--BARBAS!! And his mortal accomplice (besides Ms. Hellfire, whom Prue just killed) is none other than Bane, who has a *very* strong attraction to Prue!!

SciFi, No Greater Love sounds like the perfect title right now!! I would've liked to have fit Charmed into the title, like Charmed by Love, but for now, this will definitely work. Thanks much!! I think I have my beginning done, although it's might still be a work in progress, and I've got TMG done, and that's, well, OK. Trying to write as Phoebe 16 years in the future is a little more difficult than I thought it would be, but I think I got it. Hopefully by the time CBL is done, I'll have it ready for all of you.

But for now, let's get back to Phoebe's first letter. Here's Part Fifty-One.

But even when you came back from P3, Prue wasn’t back yet, and we were starting to get seriously worried. Marcy wasn’t helping matters any, dancing around the Manor, singing strange songs that was supposed to be giving the Manor protection, but was only driving my ears nutty. What else didn’t help us was that Prue had found out that all three of us were on the list, and that after we were dead, that would fulfill Ms. Hellfire's contract--13 dead witches by midnight Friday the 13th!

Marcy finally crossed the line when she ran through the Manor waving a smoking cigar-shaped object, singing,:

“Save your sisters, moon,
With your protective beans.
Give all who dwell within this spell,
Sweet days and sweet dreams.”<br>
“Okay,” you declared, “That's all, folks,” and you froze Marcy.

I sighed with relief. “Who knew perky could be so annoying?”<br>
“How long do you think we can keep her like this?” you wanted to know.

I shrugged. “Your power, your call.” Then I wanted to know, “Hey, did you reach Prue?”<br>
You shook your head. “No, she's still not answering her cell. She really should've checked in by now.”<br>
Just then the doorbell rang. “Ooh,” I cried. “Maybe that's her.”<br>
You gave me a “Yeah, right” look before asking, “Ringing the bell?”<br>
I shrugged. “Well, maybe she lost her keys. Right, Marcy?” since that--casting a spell to find lost objects--was another spell she’d tried, but of course, the frozen witch-wannabe couldn’t answer.

Meanwhile you opened the door. There stood Dan, holding a long plank.

“Dan,” you cried.

He grinned, “Hey, Piper,” as he walked inside.

“Uh, Dan,” you cried. “Wait.”<br>
He shook his head. “I wanted to bring this over, than leave it with my crew. I'm having trouble finding enough plywood,” as I walked into the foyer. “Hey, Phoebe,” he greeted.

“Hey, Dan,” I replied before coming close to you as I said, “Piper, don't forget about the” and I mumbled “almost-unfrozen Marcy.”<br>
You nodded, so Dan asked, “Is this not a good time?”<br>
“Never!” you cried, but quickly corrected yourself. “I mean, always. Why don't you come in? Here, let me help you,” as you took the plank.

“No,” he cried, “I got it,” but you carried it into the living room. “Piper!” he cried. “I got it. Piper!”<br>
I giggled as I walked back into the conservatory where a frozen Marcy was standing, covered by the blanket. I took off the blanket and waited for her to unfreeze.

No sooner did she than she began singing again, “Put those who dwell underneath this room.”<br>
“Okay, you know, Marcy,” I told her, “There's lots of rooms that need protecting upstairs.”<br>
But Marcy wasn’t quite the ditz I thought she was. “Wait a minute, where did Piper go?”<br>
Thinking quick, I told her, “Oh, she just cast a little spell of her own,” and she cried out in delight, as I led her towards the foyer and the stairs. “Yes, lots of rooms upstairs, honey. Quietly, quietly.”<br>
And as she floated up the stairs, I went near the the living room.

I kinda don't see Phoebe thinking Marcy was 'nutty'...maybe crazy, but that not so much. Poor Phoebe though having to deal with her...at least I believe she had enough sense to put that blanket over her so Dan wouldn't get suspicious. That was nice of Piper to freeze her!!! I would have frozen her too, just too annoying with the whole singing thing...

Dan just still bothers me when I keep thinking how he is later on when he starts investigating Leo and I really want Piper to break up with him...it just gets ridiculous when he doesn't know the whole truth about her...not till the season 2 finale! That's just too too long.

And for the title for that letter to Chris story...I think you should incorporate something from Charmed in it...I can't really think of any good titles as of yet.

anyway, great update again, esmeralda... i cant believe it, Marcy kinda reminds me of myself, when i was still new to Wicca. i would chant all kinds of made-up rhymes and dance around in our house...(i still do that sometimes, though *giggle*) BUT, i wasnt that perky!!! haha...i love the part where Piper said "That's all folks" and then BAM, we have a frozen witch hehehe and lastly, im getting worried about Prue...where is she?!?!??!

Great update Esmerlada.... and I have to agree... when watching this episode i was so relieved when Piper finally froze Marcy too! Whew... i guess you can definitley say that she was a bit "nutty" ... and what is taking prue so long? I'm telling you... its a good thing I'm reading this because it is reminding me of all them parts in the episodes that i keep forgetting... like the ending of this one lol!

I may be wrong but she never said Marcy was nutty. It sounded more like she was driving Phoebe nuts. Phoebe thought she was ditzy, not nutty. Reguardless, good update!

Again, you guys all flabberghast me!! I'm *so* very glad that you are enjoying this novelization as much as I enjoyed writing it and as much as I'm enjoying re-reading it!!

Silvermoon, please keep in mind that you know what's *going* to happen, while some of the readers never saw this season or don't remember it, and my reactions towards Dan at this point was based on what he had already done, and at this point, I truly liked him quite a bit. Had Piper been honest with Dan, had he been able to accept her Charmedness and had Leo not come back to make Dan jealous, I truly think he could've made a decent husband for Piper, just like all of the other totally-mortal men had for Warren/Halliwell witches! Don't get me wrong--no way this Leofan would want her with *anyone* but her true soulmate, but at this point, I truly didn't think he was coming back!

As for Phoebe and Marcy, Red, I'm getting a huge kick out of thinking you like Marcy!! Now that you're farther into the craft, you probably understand how Phoebe and Piper feel towards the rookie even more than we did.

I also agree with Aurora that Phoebe never thought she was nuts, just a bit ditzy (I'm surprised she wasn't a blonde!!!) or too perky. One of my favorite lines is:

I'm back! What a fantastic game!! Great seats and the Twins won 12-0, their *third* shutout in a row!! So lots of fun!!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, everyone It was truly one of my better ones!!

Needless to say, thanks to the game and my trip to Chicago, I'm beat tonight, but I promised to update, so that's what I'm going to do!! I see a lot of other people have, and I'd love to read it all, but I'm just too beat, so I will tomorrow.

“Fine.” you replied. “It wasn't that heavy."

“No,” he replied. “I'm talking about everything.”<br>
“Oh, I'm fine with that too. I'm just actually a little stressed. But everything's gonna be okay.”<br>
“So have you thought anymore about my offer?” and the silence told me that you didn’t know what to say. “Hey, you know what?” he said gently. “ I don't wanna push you.”<br>
“I know. It's just every time I think I have something figured out, things tend to shift.”<br>
“What things?” he wanted to know. “Hey, you just let me know when you're ready.” and I heard you two kiss, before sending him on his way..

Well, it was a bit dicier than usual, since the demon, Barbas, the demon of fear whom we had vanquished before but had somehow come back, figured out that Prue was fibbing about being Ms. Hellfire. Since Prue had conquered her fear of drowning like Mom the last time we ran into Barbas and since he now knew her greatest fear was losing a sister, he cast a spell on her to think that demons were after you and me, and they’d disguised themselves as us!! She almost actually killed us, but we managed to convince her that we were truly her sister before we had the supreme pleasure of vanquishing Barbas’ a$$ again and seeing Darryl Morris arrest his accomplice, a gorgeous guy named Bane, who’d obviously made an impression on Prue.

Later, you and I were cleaning the windows.

“Dan did a really good job with these windows.” I said, before teasingly looking at you. “He is obviously very good with his hands.”<br>
You grinned back. “Hey, hands off those hands!”<br>
“So, did you decide whether or not you're gonna move in with him?” I wanted to know.

You smiled. “I have to admit it's very tempting.”<br>
I also shrugged, trying to look happy for you. “Yeah, well, you gotta do what you gotta do. And you deserve to be happy. And don't worry about us, we'll be fine,” then I perked up. “Especially if I get your room.”<br>

I like how you make Phoebe sort of root for Leo, although she's acknowledging that Piper could have a better chance at happiness with Dan at this point. She knows that Piper has to make that choice, and nothing she can say can change that. So all she can do is be supportive of her sister, whatever she decides.

I'm afraid I'm going to make you wait a little longer than usual for you to find out if Piper moves in with Dan, Red, because as usual, although I was running on adrenaline from my trip yesterday, today it's catching up to me--I need toothpicks to keep my eyes open!! So tonight as soon as I get home, I'm going to crash, and I'll bet I end up sleeping until tomorrow morning! That's my usual pattern after a trip. If I don't, I'll be sure to post, but don't count on it!!

Then tomorrow, Friday, some of my friends want to take me out for dinner and a movie for my birthday and again I'm not sure when I'll get back. Saturday, it's back to my dad's, especially coz that will be the four-month anniversary of my mom's death. So let's put it this way, people--don't hold your breath until my next update!!!

Now I want to try to read some of the rest of your updates!!

Just then Prue walked in, talking on her phone. “Well, just tell Marcy that she can sell the ring and use the money to rebuild the bookstore. It's a thank-you for protecting us. No Darryl, the ring is not hot. I'll talk to you later,” and she hung up.

“So, what else did Hellfire get from Barbus?” I wanted to know.

She shrugged. “Diamond necklaces, bracelets, mahogany, a Salvador dolly.”<br>
“You can't really keep all that stuff, can you?” you wanted to know.

“No,” she said, shaking her head. “No. It wouldn't really be right, but maybe I can figure out a way to use it for some good and save my job,” since she’d been using so much time to play Ms. Hellfire, she almost cost both her and Jack their jobs. Then she grinned.. “And if not, I can always astral-project and job-hunt twice as fast.”<br>
I pouted. “Sure, just rub it in. I would love to be in two places at once.”<br>
She grinned. “As long as one of those places is fun, I'll be happy. I think I may have learned a few things from Ms. Hellfire,” as the doorbell rang. “You know, change my routine, shake things up a little bit.” You & I laughed, trying to imagine our big sister doing that as she went to answer the door. “Jack.”<br>
Jack was infuriated. “You know, Prue, it is bad enough that you don't answer your phone, come into the office or otherwise appear to be doing your job, but now you're gonna take me down with you. What do you got to say for yourself?”<br>
She grinned. “$275,000.”<br>
He stared at her as if she’d just grown an extra head. “Excuse me?”<br>
She grinned, turning her back on him to wink at us. “The market value of the anonymous estate donation I've been out acquiring. The one request is that all proceeds go to Stop the Violence Foundation. Not bad for a day’s worth of work, now is it?”<br>
“No, it certainly isn't,” he agreed, impressed, and we had a hard time not cracking up. “And you know, I never doubted you for a moment, partner.”<br>
She smirked. “Liar. Let's go celebrate, partner,” and when he agreed, she asked us if we wanted to come along, and we agreed, you calling out, “Free drinks at P3! But first I want to see if Dan wants to come, too,” and even though I felt a little like a fifth wheel, we all agreed to go out and have fun. Who knows, maybe I’d find someone interesting at P3!

And I did meet someone, but that didn’t last long. Then I met another guy, but that didn’t last long either. Finally, one night I met a nice guy named Kevin. He didn’t make me go gaga like both Leo & Dan made you, and we didn’t get into some fun arguments like Prue & Jack, but he seemed like he could become a friend, and who knows, maybe that friendship might turn into something else someday, although I seriously doubted it. But seeing you dancing with Dan and Prue dancing with Jack made me glad I had someone I could dance with.

A couple weeks later, we all went to a movie, the classic, Love Story, well, almost all of us. Prue & Jack were holding hands and Dan has his arm around you.

So I cut into the middle between the two couples, calling out, ”Fifth wheel cutting in."

I had completely forgotten that the jewelry, etc. from Barbus and Bane is what saved Prue's job -- and all proceeds go to Stop the Violence -- priceless way to turn a demon's work around!

And poor Phoebe, a fifth wheel. It wasn't a status she was used to, I'm sure.

Great update Esmeralda! I remember the scene at the end of Ms. Hellfire. I love that scene- they all looked like they were having so much fun and it was so cute. Although Piper should've been dancing with Leo not Dan!

Aww...the end of another episode...

I'm glad though that Prue was able to use what the demons stole for a good cause. Oh, the irony!!!

Too bad Phoebe feels like the fifth wheel while both her sisters have steady relationships going on. Hopefully the upcoming eppy will help her in that aspect of her life!

I'm hoping the moving out issue won't be brought up again...with all the evil after them...Piper by now should know that the three sisters together under the same roof makes them the strongest against demonic attacks, etc.

Thanks again, all of you! I also got a kick out of Prue finding a way to put evil's gain to very good use! And Phoebs does kinda stay the fifth wheel until Cole comes along--then it's Paige's turn, although that won't be Charmed by Love at all.

But let's find out what happens to our first favorite fifth wheel. Here's Part Fifty-Four

“Oh, would you stop that?” you demanded.

I shrugged. “Well, it is a double date.”<br>
“It would have been a triple date if Kevin hadn’t canceled,” Prue pointed out.

“I know,” I said with a sigh. "It seems to be an epidemic lately. Guys canceling on me.”<br>
You laughed, “You know what happens when they cancel--”<br>
Prue nodded, “Ooh, back to square one.”<br>
You nodded. “Do not pass go.”<br>
And I sighed, “And all accrued nookie credits are thrown out.”<br>
“There’s a penalty?” Jack asked.

And we three sisters all yelled, ”Oh yeah!”<br>
Jack shook his head. “You know this glimpse into feminine mystery frightens me to no end, so allow me to change the subject. What did you think of the movie?”<br>
“I liked it,” you declared, which didn't surprise me, since you were always the romantic of the family.

Prue smiled, “Loved it except for the bellbottoms,” and I laughed--that was Prue and her fashion sense.

Dan shrugged. “It was okay, I guess.”<br>
You laughed, ”Who are you kidding? I heard you sniffle.”<br>
He shrugged, “Fighting a cold.”<br>
You punched his shoulder playfully, “Liar.”<br>
“Jack?” Prue asked.

He shrugged. “As far as classics go, it was no Dirty Dozen.”<br>
I shrugged. “I slept through it.”<br>
He looked at me as if I’d grown an extra head. “You slept through Dirty Dozen?”<br>
I shook my head. “No. This one. The last thing I remember is the hockey game.”<br>
You looked at me in shock. “That was the very beginning.”<br>
My turn to shrug. “Okay, let me guess. Boy meets girl; grim reaper swipes girl; and boy’s left with his hockey skates?”<br>
Jack grinned. “That’s the review.”<br>
“Anybody want a coffee?” Dan asked, hoping to change the subject.

Jack grinned. “I hope so because I am buying.”<br>
So the four of you walked into a coffee shop, laughing & giggling. I walked in behind you four, but stopped, feeling very left-out.

Aw poor Phoebe . . . having to be left out like that! Episodes like these really make me empathize with her because usually the youngest is left out in certain things . . . (there's an 8-year age difference between my sister and me, so hell yeah, I felt left out A LOT). Reading this makes me really miss this Phoebe, the one before Paige came along and Phoebe had to take on the middle sister role of mediator and taking care of making Paige feel comfortable at a time when Piper was in no state to do so . . .

I loved the sisterly bonding in the beginning while the guys were just so clueless about their "inside jokes".

I think I may know what'll happen next . . . but I'll just keep it to myself and wait patiently for the next update!!!

yay! i loved the bonding from your recent post esmeralda! reading it made me think that the Charmed Ones were normal girls on a night-out with their boyfriends (well except for Phoebe...poor Pheebs)

i cant believe im writing this, but im loving the Piper-Dan interaction...they look cute... *but me like Leo more!*

anyway, will Phoebe find a boyfriend this season? hope so! ive played fifth wheel before, and it was no fun! hope she finds someone soon! (well, we know about Cole, but not in this season) hehe

Red, I'm glad you're also starting to see why I kinda liked Dan with Piper at this point. Of course, Leo is a lot better, mainly because he can accept her secret and *is*, of course, her soulmate, but during this part, I really did like Dan, and I'm about to like him a lot more!!

I also felt bad for Phoebs being the fifth wheel, but I think it was necessary to set up this particular story. As you'll see, she *might* change her mind about Love Story before the eppi is over!!! And although she doesn't really get a steady boyfriend until Cole, she does get a few nice ones, including one that's not part of CBL, unfortunately, since it's another one of my favorite eppis. Anyone else remember black-and-white Billy???!!

But guess what, we're going to make Phoebs feel even a bit more unhappy for just a little bit. Here's Part Fifty-Five

Prue noticed and walked over to me. “Hey, you’re gonna come get coffee, right?”<br>
I shook my head. “I’m just gonna get a cab, call it a night. I’m pooped.”<br>
But Prue knew me too well. She put an arm around me, “I’m sorry that Kevin backed out on you.”<br>
I shrugged. “His loss.”<br>
She squeezed my shoulders, “It is so his loss because you are beautiful, my sister,” and now she gave me a full hug.

I hugged her back, telling her, “You’re so beautiful. All right, go see your man. Have some coffee.”<br>
She smiled. “Okay. I love you.”<br>
I smiled back, “I love you, too.”<br>
I watched as she returned to the others, and began walking towards the cabstand. Suddenly a cute young man came running up to me, “I need your help,” as he grabbed me.

I tried to shake him off. “Let go of me!”<br>
He looked at me pleadingly, “Hate will destroy me & everything else if you don’t help me!”<br>
That’s all I needed that night, some sort of weirdo! “I am warning you, buddy!”<br>
He looked me right in the eye. “Phoebe, you gotta believe me. I know why you can’t find love.”<br>
“Hey, you! Let go of her!” Dan was standing right next to us, ready to defend your sister.

The young man turned and ran the other direction. You & Prue ran up to me.

“Are you okay?” you asked.

Confused was the better word, but I nodded. “Uh, yeah.”<br>
“What was that about?” Prue wanted to know, and all I could do was honestly reply, “I’m not sure.”<br>

The next morning, I walked out of my room and knocked on your door. “Piper, you still asleep?”

I opened your door and walked in. That’s when I noticed that your bed hadn’t been slept in.

So I walked out and went over to Prue’s room, knocking on her door. “Hey, Prue, guess who got lucky last night!” I opened the door and noticed that Prue’s bed hadn’t been slept in either.

I shrugged, feeling left out again, then walked downstairs as the phone rang. I called out, “ I’ll get it!”<br>
Then I laughed at myself--after all, if I didn’t get it, who would? I picked up the phone, “Hello?”<br>
“Morning.” It was Prue.

“Hey, Prue. Did that coffee keep someone up all night?”<br>
“Believe it or not, all we did was talk,” and there was a quiet happiness in Prue’s voice that I hadn’t heard since Andy died.

But if you think for one instant I believed that all they did was talk...So I told her, “:Yeah, right.”<br>
“No,” cried Prue. “I swear. We just talked about everything; it was really great.”<br>
“Really?” I asked. “How’s he react to the witch part?”<br>
“Cute,” and I knew she hadn’t told. “All right, where’s Piper?”<br>
“Oh, she’s still at Dan’s. Hey, if only I’d bagged Mr. Creepy, we could have scored a Halliwell hat-trick last night.”

ooooh boy..... i remember this eppy with the guy and phoebe and she learns about her "not being able to find love" etc.... but I don't remember the exact details so i expect you'll give me a good reminder lol.... and oh boy... piper and dan... yeah you know I liked dan when i watched these episodes but I watched them while watching season 5 so I already knew that Piper would end up with Leo. But he was still a great guy, too bad she couldn't tell him about her "secret"

Phoebs doing standup! Oh, that's great, SciFi, although I don't think Phoebe meant to be funny at the time. But I also think the Halliwell hat-trick is a great line!

As I keep saying, i also liked Dan a lot around this time, too, and unlike you, oddball, I had *no* idea that Piper would end up with Leo--I thought Leo was *long* gone!! But I'm glad she did--I'll always wonder how well a mortal would've done being married to a Charmed One--wouldn't he feel a bit inferior after awhile, and wouldn't that be hard on a so-fragile male ego??!! ;o)

Anyway, we'll continue to let Dan have his fun for a little while longer. Here's Part Fifty-Six:

“Don’t be mad,” Prue begged.

“No, I’m not mad,” I reassured her. “I’m thrilled for you both. I mean, it’s been a long time. You deserve to be happy.”<br>
“You’re gonna need a new lock on that back door.” said a male voice behind me. I dropped the phone and spun, kicking Mr. Creepy in the mouth, and he fell onto the stairs.

I could hear Prue’s voice calling my name over the phone, then she hung up, and if I knew my big sister, I knew she was on her way home to try to rescue Little Sister.

Meanwhile, Mr. Creepy looked up at me. “I’m getting rather used to you kicking love in the teeth.”<br>
Now I was seriously getting annoyed with this guy. “Okay, who are you. and what do you want?” I demanded.

He smiled, and for being a creep, he really was cute. “More importantly, I know who you are, Phoebe. And that’s why I’m here. I need your help--the Charmed Ones’ kind of help.”<br>
I stared at him in shock. “I will ask again. Who are you?”<br>
He grinned. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”<br>
I put my hands on my hips. “Try me.”<br>
He shrugged, “Well, for lack of a better name, Cupid.”<br>
Later, after he explained things a little better to me, he transported us next door to Dan’s house. I’m not really sure how he did it--it wasn’t like an orb, like what our half-sister Paige, who came into our lives after Prue left us, has done for us, but all I know is one minute we were standing in our Manor kitchen and the next minute we were at Dan’s, in the hallway, right outside of Dan’s room. Glancing around the corner, I saw you lying on Dan’s bed. Then we had to duck out of the way as Dan walked by, carrying a tray with breakfast on it.

He walked into his room and you sat up, “Oh, my.”<br>
He grinned. “All eggs over easy, all bacon crisp, a box of jewelry, and dried toast.

He was hoping to sneak it passed you, but you caught it immediately. “A box of what?”<br>
He shrugged. “Would you like the morning paper with that?”<br>
You stared at him in shock. “What did you do?” and I wanted to know, too.

Again he shrugged. “It’s not a big deal. It’s not a ring or anything. But just because it’s jewelry, I don’t want you to feel like you gotta keep it. If you wanna take it back, you can.”<br>
You nodded. “I get it, I get it,” and you picked up the box, staring at it.

“You gonna open it?” he asked, laughing. So you did. I couldn’t see what it was, but it was obviously something wonderful, because your eyes practically popped out of your head. “Oh!”<br>
Again he told you, “Coz if you want to, you can take it back,” but you obviously wanted to keep it, because you began kissing him passionately. That’s when Cupid nudged me, so I went around the corner, waving my arms, trying to get your attention. You opened your eyes and saw me, so you stopped kissing Dan. He looked at you confused, “What’s the--” and you froze him.

“Phoebe!” you cried. “What are you doing in here?” Then you realized something else. “How did you get in here?”<br>
I shook those questions aside and dove right into the "Why I was doing there." question instead.

“We have got a very big problem,” I told you and pulled Cupid into the room. I introduced you two and then he smiled. “Hi, sorry to interrupt. Glad to see things are working out for you & Dan.”<br>
You stared at him in shock, “What?”<br>
“You have to come home really fast,” I told you urgently.

Cupid nodded. “Yeah, a Demon of Hate stole my ring, and he's gonna use it to find all the loves that I've put together, so he can destroy them, which will in turn destroy me.”<br>
“Wait a minute,” and you shook your head, trying to assimilate everything.

“He's telling the truth,” I assured you. “The demon's name is Drazi. He's in the Book of Shadows.”<br>
Cupid nodded. “Yeah, Phoebe's already started working on the potion that will vanquish him.”<br>
“And Prue's on her way home,” I added.

“From where?” you asked.

“From Jack's. Okay, hurry. Kiss very fast,” and next moment Cupid & I were back at the Manor, working on the potion.

Much later, you told me & Prue what happened after Cupid & I left. You sat back on the bed in front of Dan, just as he unfroze. “matter?” he finished the sentence he started when you froze him.

You smiled your best smile at him, “Yes. Um, there is, but not with you. There is absolutely nothing the matter with you. But I do have to go,” and you rose from the bed

“Hold it!” he cried, hurt. “What happened? I don't understand.”<br>
You tried to reassure him. “It has nothing to do with you.”<br>
“Then what does it have to do with?” he asked.

You shrugged, “It's, uh, complicated,” and you began picking up your clothes, then picked up the box (which you showed to us--it was a gorgeous diamond necklace!) “Thank you for this,” you told him, “and you'll see it on me tonight at the club.” and you kissed him and left.

After you finished telling us, you looked at us, pain in your eyes. “I hated doing that,” you told us. “He doesn’t deserve treatment like that.”

I hugged you. “I know, honey, but unless you want to tell him the truth...” and the look on your face told me you couldn’t, not quite yet, and I couldn’t help think about someone who would’ve understood perfectly, but someone who appeared to be gone from your life forever.


Once you came back from Dan’s, you, me, Prue & Cupid sat in the living room.

Prue glared at Cupid. “So we're actually supposed to believe that you're Cupid?”<br>
He looked hurt. “You believe in warlocks & demons but you can't believe in me?”<br>
“Where's the chubby baby?” you demanded.

“And the bow & arrow?” Prue added.

He glared back at you two. “Where's the warty chins, hooked noses & pointy hats?”

Prue nodded, allowing him points for that, but she had another trick up her sleeve. “All right, show us something supernatural.”<br>
He shrugged. “Drazi took my ring. It's my powers; how I get in.”<br>
“Get in?” Prue asked.

“People's hearts, to waken love. See, but Drazi's all about hate, and he's gonna use the ring to get in the same way.”<br>
You weren’t convinced yet. “You're still gonna have to back up the Cupid claim.”<br>
“Okay, fine.” He pointed at you. “Dan.”<br>
Then he pointed at Prue. “Jack.”<br>
Then he pointed at me, “Tony, Clay, Kevin.”<br>
Then he pointed at Prue again, a sympathetic look on his face. “Andy. My sincerest condolences. Eric in London, Alec in college.”<br>
Then he pointed to you again. “Not Jeremy the Warlock, Joe in college, Barry in high school, Tim in eighth grade.”

Then he pointed at me again. “Ken, Kyle, Steve, Mike, Ken again, Brian, Joel, Martin, Peter, Paul, Todd, Billy--”.

“Wait!” I interrupted. “Okay, you know I didn't really love all those guys, right?”<br>
He smiled sadly. “Yeah, well, they wanted to love you, but you're closed-hearted. That's what sent them away.”<br>
“My closed heart?” I asked, shocked. “ I do not have a closed heart!” I insisted.

He shrugged. “Look, if people get the feeling that there's nothing there, then eventually it's hasta la vista, Phoebe. That explains the recent rush of canceled dates.”<br>
“Okay, so wait,” interrupted Prue, still trying to understand it all. “Our past relationships; you made those happen?”<br>
He smiled sheepishly, “Well, actually, my assignment here's only two years old. I helped you two meet Jack & Dan, but most of your prior loves were work from fellow agents.”<br>
“Agents?” you asked.

He nodded. “Oh, yeah. I'm just one of many. We work in secret all over the world, making connections”<br>
You had to ask. “Did you connect me & Leo?”<br>
“Uh, no. That was the work of you two. Those connections were forbidden to make for obvious reasons.”<br>
That disappointed me, but I was more concerned about myself. “Um, can we go back to the ‘hasta la vista’ remark please?”<br>
He smiled. “We don't have time right now to debate the topic of your closed heart, Phoebe. We gotta finish the potion so we can vanquish Drazi before it's too late.”<br>
“Okay, so how are we supposed to find him?” Prue asked.

“The same way he can find me. We can sense each other. We're connected in a cosmic way. There's a fine line between love & hate.”<br>
“Oh, brother,” you cried, looking skyward for help.

“Hey, don't take Drazi lightly!” he warned. “You guys are in danger as well, you know.”<br>
I smiled. “We're in danger every day. We're used to it.”<br>
“Look, if Drazi succeeds, eventually he'll kill the ability to love. And believe me, it's a fate worse than death.”<br>
Suddenly Cupid clutched his chest in pain.

“What's the matter?” Prue asked.

“What's wrong?” I asked.

“It's Drazi.” he gasped in agony. “He's killing love!”
