Hey. A question about what happened to Past Paige when Future Paige was in the past came up in my Pardon My Past Leo thread and I posted an idea there but I am the kind of person that is uncomfortable going off topic. So I decided to give this its own thread. here was my response in my Leo thread:
Its one of my favorite episodes and I too have wondered where Past Paige was while Future Paige was occupying the aura. Hmm, well since we see Paige tumble out of Clyde's door as the Past Paige, maybe Clyde took the soul of real Past Paige and kept it in the vortex while Future Paige was still making the trip back, and then he switched them back when Future Paige made the trip back to her present. Leo's commenting on it being a rough trip did seem to indicate that it could have been a several minute trip through the vortex which Clyde would need to take real Past Paige out. This can also explain the room being empty when she got there, otherwise shouldn't Past Paige have been there to greet them with a "What the hell?"
Although thinking about it, another ideas is also supported they could have both been occupying the aura at the same time with Future Paige's being the dominant because Leo does ask at one point of its the teenager or the adult speaking.

That's how I always saw it, that Past Paige was suppressed in a dormant state of consciousness while Future Paige became the dominant persona. Sort of how in Pardon My Past, when Phoebe first cast the spell to view her past life she was nothing more but a voyeur in Past Phoebe's body, unable to control her actions. Speaking of...why did they need Clyde in the first place? Couldn't they have altered the past life spell so it could work for Paige's unique situation?

That's okay since there is one body hosting two versions of a similar soul. Take the other approach where two bodies each possessing a similar soul compete for the same space. Evil Paige and present Paige in A Knight to Remember or, worse, Evil Paige, present perfect Paige and present Paige in Cat House! There we have three bodies competing for one similar soul.!

That was not Evil Paige in "A Knight to Remember". That was the Evil Enchantress, who was a separate individual and one of Paige's past lives.

Suppressed in a dormant state, yes I like that term to refer to it. That's what I was meaning in my last statement.

Or maybe Past Paige was sent to a "waiting room," sort of like on Quantum Leap - - and when Future Paige returned to the present, Past Paige was transplanted back into her body before the car accident?

Yeah I thought of that but didn't mention it because I did not realize other people here knew Quantum Leap. That show rocks! Big fan ;D

How is it that ljones always manages to set my agenda? Just kidding. Yes, I'm aware that the Paige in A Knight to Remember is the Evil Enchantress, but I thought that Leo described this precisely as one of Paige's past lives. Now, I have to watch this episode again and laugh outrageously when the knight tries to slay the waste management vehicle!

The only thing that got me at first is the evil enchantress was bind of her powers. I thought that would have affect on present Paige, but then I thought about it and her past life has nothing to do with her current life.

And yet it still goes off topic.... when did this become about the Evil Enchantress?

Not true. Phoebe's previous past life (Parson Russell from "Pardon My Past") sinned, and a lot of that obviously rubbed off on Phoebe. So there's evidence that a person's most recent past life can have at least some influence on their successor.
Paige probably had lived several other past lives between the time the Enchantress died up until Paige's birth in 1977. So maybe Paige's more recent past lives karmically "redeemed" her?

Pubesy, I agree that "All Halliwell's Eve" was a great episode (and extremely funny)! And for that, you have been blessed.

its why half the pics of my sig have come from that episode! i will never forget phoebe flying on a broomstick, or the halliwells hanging.
by the way how did they survive that hanging? oh thats right, because of the superstition if you survive the hanging you are a witch!

I thought Micah said that it was an old trick he'd learned from the French?...he tied the noose in a certain way that it only gave the appearance that the Halliwells had been properly hanged/hung.

oh, i just thought it was the producers quirky way of letting them survive. i would have applauded the producers for using that excuse for the charmed ones surviving!
