We are getting our first snow fall of the season and it is so beautiful. It makes everything seem so fresh and clean and does a nice job of covering up all of the imperfections.

Freezing. We just had one massive storm that came in Sunday and Monday, which closed the schools and colleges everywhere and the snow from that still hasn't melted yet, but another storm came in last night and it's predicted to drop up to six more inches today (if the weatherman was right).

Awful Cold, terrible Cold...I am really glad that I don't have a Cold. By the way Melissa...are you not the member that sent us the fantastic pictures of a lightning storm? If so, hay weather- lady, with a gift for photography....how is the terrain where you are? Do you have snow??? If so, please to share for our friends in the sun-shine states that are laughing at us while they work on their tans....

Very cold, windy and we have gotten almost 75cm (almost 30 inches) of snow the last 24 hours and its not over yet with the snow. The forecast tells that more snow is on the way and will arrive within the next 3-4 hours.
Rather strange weather actually, is usually all the other places around us in Denmark who gets lots of snow when it snows (which is rare in Denmark), but this time the whole lot got dumped right smack in the middle of Denmark.

Well lets see...Long Island is said to get 10 to 12. Philly is due to receive 12 to 14. So that means we should end up with the half way mark. Gee, a foot of the white stuff....looks like no work for me on Monday. I'm so depressed.

We here in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are in the midst of a Christmas snowstorm--we have the whitest Christmas we've had in a *long* time. Here's an article from one of our local TV station's website: The Twin Cities Metro Area picked up 3 to 5 inches of snow from last night into this morning which makes the storm total since Wednesday about 8 to 12 inches. More snow is going to fall today with another 1 to 3 inches of snow by sunset and then about 1 inch on Saturday making for a Wednesday through Saturday storm total in the Metro area of 10 to 15 inches of snow.
Twin Cities Metro Area Forecast for today Friday December 25, 2009 : Cloudy with periods of snow mixed with light rain or drizzle. Additional snowfall accumulations by sunset will be a wet 1 to 3 inches with the highest amounts on the north and west side of the Metro. Temperatures today will hold steady in the low to mid 30s meaning many of the plowed main roads will be wet during the daylight hours but becoming slippery again tonight as temperatures fall back into the upper 20s by 9 p.m. Winds today will be gusty from the East-Northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Cloudy tonight with snow mixed with light freezing drizzle. Additional snowfall accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible by sunrise ( 7:50 a.m. ) Saturday - the total snowfall in the Metro from this storm from Wednesday will be 10 to 15 inches. Lows will be in the mid 20s with Northeast winds at 8 to 16 mph. We were supposed to get 22 inches, but thanks to the rain, it will only be the 10-14, but it's worse due to the rain freezing. A couple feet of snow? No problems for us hardy Minnesotan. Icy roads? That's another story--no one knows how to drive in this stuff and most of them end up in the ditch! I pray that all travelers get safely to their destinations and people stuck in the airport *eventually* get home. I'm just glad we didn't get any strong winds or it would've truly been a blizzard--this is just a nuisance snowstorm. I get to walk to work tomorrow through sidewalks that belong to businesses and weren't shoveled yesterday and probably won't be shoveled by tomorrow night. Wish me luck!
