Snow! Alana got snow for her first Christmas. It's not a ton, but enough that it's sticking and in some places piling up. It's really pretty and since it's Christmas, no one's out driving on it. I just hope I can get my doors open, because I do have work tomorrow.

It's freezing (about -6 degrees celcius at the moment) and there's a little more snow falling.

I can understand PSB's displeasure of the nasty weather we are dealing with. It reminds me of the old chant....(rain, rain..go away, come again another day.) But having lived on the west coast for so long, one of the things I missed was the changing of the seasons. I haven't been involved with a good snow storm since 1993 and this is a bit of a treat. We live in the woods, with few neighbors about. All I can see it clean white beautiful snow. The spruce, pine, walnut and maple tress are heavy laden with sparkling white powder that glistens in the sun and moon light. The birds of many colors have flocked to the feeders, and I delight to see them enjoy the offerings. I don't want to shovel it, but I don't have to as my sister has a plow company do that for us. My company is shut down for a few days so I am on a mini vacation. I guess part of the magic in life is finding wonder in what is given. The changing of the seasons is a splendor we sometimes forget to enjoy. I love all of the beauty nature has to offer. This is just one of those moments in time.
