What happened to the Book Of Shadows??

I'm glad she got the book, but it's interesting she wanted it. HMC has always said that she doesn't really believe in the magic they portrayed on the show. I mean, she spent a good part of the show wearing a cross on a necklace, which I believe was her way of sending one of the not so subtle messages they often gave the viewers. Like when she names the perfect man Paige and Phoebe whip up for her BD, David. She was probably dating her husband at the time, if not already married to him, so you see the little inside joke. Anyway, it appears obvious she loved the show and the book was obviously a centerpiece prop of vital importance. I'm actually surprised there was not more than one copy, in case of accidents and such. Plus, we've all seen the book change in thickness during the years and not just from adding pages. I recall a very smooth page flat version earlier on, which seemed to come and go until finally morphing into the thick version with all the wrinkled pages. There must have been one final copy by the 8th season, which had everything.

There is another copy for sale, by the same person, for less than $600 and a couple of abbridged versions for between $300 and $400. They full size book looks fantastic and comes with nearly a thousand pages of spells and other info (like family trees). It also came with some extras. I think the second book might be less as it may have had less extras attached, but I didn't look that far. The first book is gone, but the second and the abridged versions are still up on ebay. So, if you have the money to toss at it...

There probably were. Certainly, there was more than one which evolved with the show. It's one of those little annoyances, though, when you see a central prop of a show change shape from season to season or episode to episode, for unexplained reasons. In this case, it was not just about the book growing; it actually changed in appearance. Not a biggie, but noticeable.

yes i think ther are probabyly atleast 3because in power outage, the symbol broke apart!So that had to have been a different BOS!
does anyone know why it is called the Book Of Shadows? Anyway i think Holly deserves it more than anyone because she should be able to put it in her attic and remember all of the wonderful times she has had on Charmed! She is the "Chosen One" Ha Ha Ha Ha! Well she totally deserves it ok! all hail Holly! ;D

yeah... and remember BELTHAZOR pages? at first, the page before ''Belthazor'' was blank, then there was some spell to make a potion, then it was blank again, and in episode 65, Phoebe wrote something about Cole on that blank page. later, in season 4, when Paige was searching for a demon in the book, she found Belthazor, and there was nothing on the page before that - it was blank AGAIN! there are many examples....

IF somebody can answer me about who is the most completely manufacturer of the book of shadows??
I have seen many but i dint know where to buy it,if someone can help me,please??

The real book in the show is not bound like most books you have seen. unbound books have a flap in the back cover that has things like screws under it. That way you can add pages or change the order. Realy good books of this type alse have extra leather inside to widen the spine. So the order of the pages does not matter. Also if you buy one you should get the unbound one. There is a guy who does realy good ones. I will have to get back to you on his name.

Update on who really got the book of shadows. I just read, from a phone interview with Brad Kern in Charmed Mag #15, that he got the book. He had debated it with HMC, who also wanted it, but felt, since he has written in it for the past seven years, that he should have it and took it. He does not know what HMC took as a memento from the show, but he says it was not the book. Perhaps there's some corroborating information on HMC's site or in some other interview. HMC seems to be laying low these days. There's like no new news on her since the baby was born. This is not surprising, as the baby is just 4 months old. Still, there's nothing I could find on any career moves, new shows, new articles, or pics from the semi reliable paparazzi.

Counting them gives us at least four different books

1: The full and complete artistic one
2: The totally blank one
3: The one with the split triquetra
4: The rubber one that does not open (used in the scenes where it flies off the table.)

I think he was refering to the full and complete artistic one. All the others were the equivalent to stand ins and stunt doubles.

Anyone hear any news on HMC's next career move? I see that AM is to be involved in a new lawyer show, which probably has a much better chance of being picked up than the "Mia" pilot she did. Also, RM has been in two movies, the second, Grindhouse, is coming out soon. But nothing on HMC. I guess with the new baby (only 4 and 1/2 months old), and an almost three year old (or is he three already?) it's still a little chaotic. Plus I'm sure she's enjoying being home with them. Still, hopefully, we'll hear something soon.

Haven't heard anything but don't blame her! I would go into hiding too! Are the papparzzi in america as bad as the ones in england, where they constantly search out celebrities and stalk them??

She's not so much in hiding as taking some time off. HMC is not, for all her talent and time on Charmed and other TV shows and TV moives, not considered an A-list celebrity in the US. New pics of her turn up now and again, especially when she is out with her friend Shannon Doherty, who the paparazzi sometimes follow to see what trouble she'll get into. Basically, HMC is probably taking some time to be with both her recent new born son (who is approaching five months), his brother, and her husband. She probably knows that she'll be able to get onto another show, when she's ready to go back to work, and wants to enjoy this time off as much as possible. Working shows, when you're on of the main cast members, can have long days and it's hard to juggle family and life on the set.

I have a Book Of Shadows replica. I am shooting my own Charmed spin of called Paranormal. I have all the pages apart from the final entries. I will add them later.
I also believe in one Charmed Magazine issue Brad Kern stated that he now has the Book. Holly so desrves it. She kicked ass with it every week while he just directied around it. Grrrrrr.
