We don't have one of these for the Video forum yet, and since I'm currently waging war with Windows Movie Maker (WMM) on my laptop, I thought I'd start one. As of right now, I'm currently interested in making three types of videos: Paiglenn (Paige/Glenn) Prake (Paige/Drake) Pam (Patty/Sam) Unfortunately, I don't have a DVD ripper and I'm having an awful lot of trouble finding anything myself. I thought that maybe my problems were over when I found Veoh.com, where you can download episodes. I tried downloading "P3 H20," but I keep getting an, "Unspecified error," message when I import. So then I downloaded a different one and got the same. Then I used BitLord and downloaded six different episodes (two download each) and I'm also getting the same message. They're all .avi, but someone told me they probably have codecs that aren't working with WMM. However, when that happened on my last computer, I got a codec error, not an unspecified error. So what do I do? Is there anyone else who knows how to make Veoh downloads and/or BitLord downloads play in Windows Movie Maker? I'm so frustrated! I have almost all the episodes I need now...they just won't work! Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Same here. I've tried AVI downloads on WWM, Sony Vegas and Home Video Maker and none work. It makes me really frustrated, is there any way to convert them properly or change the codec or something? I'm really not sure!

I've had similar problems with that too while trying to make my Barbas videos. Do you have a digital camera? What I do instead is I use the camera to record the clips I need while it plays on the computer. I'm not gonna lie; it's very time-consuming and it can be a real pain in the butt, but it works. Then, after I get all the clips I need (or however many my memory card will hold) I copy them onto my computer and then I can import them onto Movie Maker. I'm not sure if this helps, but I hope it does!

Tip for uploading videos: You are not forced to use Youtube any more to show your creations to the members of the board. Photobucket at photobucket.com/ also now supports video, its in the same format (Flash Video) as on Youtube and the quality they deliver is actually a little better. UPDATE May 31st 2008:Photobucket has introduced a copyright filter that detects copyrighted music in video files. So if you have used music in your videofile, forget Photobucket. Use then istead YouTube for it.

When i have downloaded episodes they have worked on WMM, though i really hate that programme now so i suggest using Sony Vegas if you can get a hold on it, it works great!
if you have any other questions about anything i just said PM me. ;D

I'm really not sure! I would go into your Tools in WMM and make sure that it's allowing AVI files to be imported. The only problem I have with AVI files is in my Sony Vegas and Adobe programs. I just use MPEG, MPG with those. But you can get an AVI converter. Just Google.

On that point i have a converter tip, since i yet have to discover the files it can't convert: Super www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.htmlGuide to locate download link, its well hidden in all that TXT they force you to read first: Scroll down to bottom of the page and choose: Start Downloading SUPER ©On that page choose: download and useOn this page, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and here you will locate: Download SUPER © setup fileConverter is updated regularly, but don't choose the last page where the download link is located as your favourite page, since the download page itself changes every time they have a new updated version of it, that means you just end up with a dead link the next time they have an updated version of the converter. Choose instead the frontpage i posted the link for and follow the guideline above the next time there is an update. The converter itself will inform you when a new version is ready for download.

Yup, 99% of what i also upload there now gets rejected. Youtube has had its days, it has now become a service that is no longer worth even trying to upload at if you have used music in our artwork.
Tested Tinypic's video uption also now: They are also a no go. They are just as over the hill to insanity about copyrights, so it won't be long before you won't be able to upload any video artwork any where if it contains music.

Just wanted to notify you that i will be deleting my Youtube account. That means that all my videos will no longer be able to be watched any more. I have had it with their copy rights crap they have now, the past 5 artworks i have created and tried uploading has been disabled within few seconds after they got uploaded to there and other old videos has also been disabled there.
Youtube has become a waste of time trying uploading artwork to.

I'm not leaving the Café if thats what you think, just Youtube Artworks and mash ups will also still be created at my end, i just have to locate another place where they are not that much over the edge to insanity about copyrights as Youtube has become.

Have you tried disputing your videos that have the audio muted? They got slammed due to the images, not the audio.

Oh dang..I'm sorry. =\ The only show I've had a problem with that is Buffy and I know most FOX shows aren't too keen on their material being put on YT.
