This is a short story from a character that will be featured in The Unseen Servant of God series. I decided to take a small break from "3 Witches and a Holy Vampire" Although Raziel is featured in that story as well. This is short and I will finish it in its entirety now. I hope you all enjoy!
Raziel: The Hunted
An Excerpt from "Of Angels and Demons
The half-angel, half demon spawn of Michael, and Lilith, spread his great leathery bat-like wings (a trait he no doubt had inherited from his mother’s demonic side) and flew off the edge of the mountain. Just as its peak was blasted off by a decent size ball of hellfire.
He then twisted in midair in order to allow the two balls of holy fire to sip passed him and slam into the same mountain, knocking considerable chunks out of it in the process.
Raziel, this time, had hunters from both sides after him. He could sense that of the two the angel was considerably stronger than the demon, probably because his grandfather, Lucifer, considered the lesser demon expendable, however Lucifer had not even sent the demon; someone else had. Someone else high enough on the demonic hierarchy to command, or perhaps scarethe lesser demon enough to go after Raziel; knowing it would be suicide. The angel, was of one of the highest orders, but not quite powerful enough to be a seraph or a cherub, perhaps a throne, yes it was indeed a throne, a seeker of justice. And its ignorance it thought eliminating Raziel was indeed justice. It didn’t matter he would deal with them both in mere moments.
Both angels and demons wanted him dead. They considered him too powerful to be allowed to exist, they viewed him as a threat to both sides. It was one of the few things that both sides could agree on. Although it was neither endorsed by the Almighty or Lucifer, it seemed that renegades from both sides had taken it upon themselves to eliminate what they considered the abomination that was Raziel.
And thus, for the past millennium, ever since his father was forced back into Heaven, and his mother back to hell, he had to take care of himself. And thus far he had done a superb job at just that. None who had ever come to hunt him had ever succeeded and completed their mission.
The simple fact was Raziel was too powerful. After all being the son of the most powerful angel in Heaven, and the son of the daughter of Lucifer himself, would obviously result in the creation of an extremely powerful being. And that was the exact reason why both sides feared him. They feared that Michael and Lilith’s union had created to much a concentration of power, and they wanted it destroyed.
And so it ended up, as it always seemed to that the hunters from both sides ended up at the end of Raziel’s outstretched arms, completely at his mercy.
“Why do you hunt me, I just want to be left alone!” The half angel half demon’s voice thundered.
Luckily, the trio of supernatural beings were high up in the Himalayas, so no one had heard Raziel in his rage. No one except perhaps a yeti or two.
“Lucifer fears that your power will continue to grow, and you will one day come to hell to claim the his throne as ruler of the underworld.”
“You lie demon, my grandfather knows I care nothing of his throne, some other powerful demon has sent you as a pitiful pawn. Go tell them yourself when they are ready to face me, face to face, I am more than ready.” Raziel replied sending holy fire up his arm, vanquishing the lesser demon utterly, sending him back to hell. Raziel then turned his head toward the angel, whom he knew without a doubt was a throne.
“And as for you, I already know you are a throne, a seeker of justice, now tell me your name?”
“My name is Zaphkiel. And indeed I am a throne, a seeker of justice, and it is my duty as one to eliminate oddities of nature such as yourself. The union of Michael and Lilith should never have occurred. If you are going to destroy then go ahead, you must know others will come.” Zaphkiel spoke without fear.
“As much as you may believe it I may be half demon, but I am not evil. Go back to Heaven, and tell the one who keeps sending you angels after me to stop, else I will have to start destroying angels just as do with demons.” Raziel spoke releasing his grip on Zaphkiel.
Zaphkiel considering the seriousness in Rissole’s last statement dissipated back to Heaven to tell his leader what Raziel, the abomination had informed him.
Raziel sighed, realizing that his father Michael had the power to stop the angels from hunting him. However, there must be another that commanded the renegades that Michael had no power over, and there was only one his father had no power over...Metatron, a seraph allegedly equal to power to Raziels's father
Raziel sighed once more, spread his great wings, took flight, and continued on in his cursed existence knowing that he would be continued to be hunted.
The end...for now!
