"Stop right there, Ishtar." Raphael Zazzparass, The Unseen Servant of God said to the powerful sorcerer who was chanting the incanation to open a portal to another dimension.
"Mytar rin va' dar intus opei!" Ishtar spoke opening the portal.
"Come Unseen Servant, follow me if you want to know what I up to." Ishtar then went on through the portal.
"Alright, sorcerer, I will play along." Raphael then went through the portal, which closed immediately behind him.
What the Holy Vampire saw amazed him. It was like he had not gone any where, like he was still on Earth. It was a parallel Earth then, Rapheal thought, that was one of Ishtar's powers to open portals to other dimensions. But why here?
Out of nowhere Ishtar reappeared with someone else. A heavily muscled man dressed in blue and red with a big "S" on his chest.
"That's him, Superman, that's the vampire responsible for all those innocent deaths. Now, if you don't mind could you bring him to justice." Ishtar smiled wickedly behind Superman.
Rapheal sensed that Superman was a hero of good, and was also extremely powerful. What the heck was the sorcerer doing?
"Humans are worthy of my justice, a vampire is not. He will be destroyed Ishtar."
"You have got me all wrong, man. Ishtar is the evil one, not me." Rapheal tried to explain, but Superman charged superfast and blasted Rapheal in the face knocking him flying through the air fifty yards to slam into and through a building.
"That probably should have done the trick." Superman spoke in confidence.
"No," Ishtar said, "this a pretty powerful vampire, and extremely evil to."
Rapheal got up inside the building. He was thinking. He didn't want to have to destroy this Superman, but he was not going to be bullied by him either. He would wait for the opportune time then to prove that Ishtar was lying and that he was good.
Raphael willed himself right back in front of Superman. Until then, he was going to spar a little. After all, Superman was a worthy oppenent.
"Huh," Superman said suprised that someone besides the Flash could travel faster than him. He swung an uppercut at The Unseen Servant, but found nothing but air as the Holy Vampire rematerialized in the air above him holy fireball in hand.
Superman, looked up and then over to Ishtar. "This vampire is powerful, but he will be destroyed." He then flew up after Rapheal, much to Ishtar's delight.
Raphael stayed his ground up until the last possible second and then was suddenly behind Superman and threw the holy fireball, knowing it wasn't powerful enough to really hurt the Man of Steel. It connected and knocked Superman back through the air. He shook his head at the blast, still dizzied.
Suddenly a cry for help emanated through the air. Raphael and Superman both looked down the road. A baby carriage had rolled out into oncoming traffic. The mother was screaming hysterically for help. A semi was only a few dozen yards away. Superman looked on in horror. He couldn't go that fast.
But Rapheal could. The Holy Vampire rematerlized in front of the baby carriage and put his arms up and stopped the semi instantly. The baby was safe. The Unseen Servant then returned the baby to her mother, who offered Rapheal her deepest thanks. Rapheal heard a whoshing sound behind him and turned around. It was Superman.
"Can we talk now?" The Holy Vampire asked.
"No need. I can sense that you are good and that I have been decieved by Ishtar. What do you say vampire we go after the sorcerer together?"
"Sounds like a plan to me Superman, the name's Raphael by the way."
Ishtar seeing that his plan to destroy either Superman or Raphael had failed opened a portal to another dimension and was about to step through to escape, but got blasted by Superman's heat ray vision, and a holy fireball from Rapheal.
"You sorcerer have some explaining to do." Superman said.
The portal Ishtar had opened closed, as the sorcerer cluthed at the recently inflicted wounds.
"There's nothing to explain, I just figured it would be fun to watch two of the most powerful superheroes in existence fight one another to the death. What a shame to, I thought for minute it was going to actually work."
"Well, sorcerer, I think it might be fun to vanquish you utterly. However, I think a stay in Hell's maximum security prison will do well enough for you." Rapheal replied.
The Holy Vampire then turned toward the Man of Steel and extended his hand. Superman willing shook it.
"Someday Superman, I would like to return and spar with you some more. You are a great hero to this world. I hope you continue to follow the path of justice. However, I have to get this skum back. I had fun though."
"I did too Rapheal, I did too. Don't stay gone for too long, I think I would enjoy finishing what we started, and learn more about who you are. I am just glad that there is another hero out there who believes in the same things as I do. That is a good thing to know. Goodbye, my friend." Superman spoke and then took to the air, off to catch the next badguys in Metropolis.
Rapheal grabbed Ishtar by the collar and waved his hand opening a portal back to his world.
"I am sure Lucifer is going to have good time with you, Ishtar." Raphael said and stepped through the portal.
"One day Superman, I will return, and we will spar and catch the bad guys together." The portal then closed behind the Holy Vampire, who immediately willed himself to Hell's Prison. Much to the dismay of Ishtar.....
