Prologue Jennave Sparrow is Jack Sparrow's niece. She lives a normal life with her mother and grandfather in Singapor. Her father, Tohmas Sparrow, a Commadore in the Royal British Navy, had died two years earlier when his ship the HMS Freedom got trapped in a hurricane. After his death, the govonor of Singapor held a honour ceremony for all of his family. It was there that Jen first met her Uncle Jack. Jen automatically took a liking to him and he to her. Though Jen's mother disapproved Jen soon learned everything there was to know about pirates. After that night Jen only saw Jack once and that was when he was being arrested. She tried to help him, but Jack told her she needed to leave. He didn't want her associated with him. She never did figure out how he escaped, though ever since she has waited eagerly and wished with all her heart that she'd see her infamous uncle again. Little did she realize that after a day of shopping would that wishe come true. This is just to explain all the main characters and so everyone knows what happened to Jen's father and stuff so you won't be confused when I talk about it in the story. And don't worry after the first few chapters the story gets really good. Trust me!

Chapter 1 Girl's Day Out "Where have you been?" Jen's best friend Jezebelle asked "Shopping. What does it look like?" Jen answered holding up all of her packages and boxes tied up with a rainbow of ribbons. "Well you won't believe what Madaline told Gwenth, who told Victoria, who told Robin, who told me what Holly saw." Jezzy said incredibly quickly. Jen tried to make out what she had just said but stopped after her brain started to hurt. "What did she see?" she finally asked Jezzy just smiled oblivious to the look of uninterest Jen was giving her and went on. "She said she saw a pirate lying on the beach. Isn't that so mind blowing?" "What?!Areyouserious?!Ishestillthere?!" Jen said so fast all her words jumbled up into one long word. "Last time I heard." Jezzy answered, smiling triumphantly that she was able to really get Jen's attention for once. "Well then what the hell are we still doing standing here? Lets go." "Why? We'll just get all dirty and smelly." Jezzy whined "Uh do we have to go over this everytime?" Jen asked extremely fusterated in her friend's lack of listening skills. Jezzy just gave her a wide eyed pout, and Jen finally gave in.
"Fine. You know I've always loved the ocean. And you know that ever since I met my Uncke I've loved pirates and the ocean even more. So please, please can we go?" Jen begged "I don't know Jen." Jezzy said still unsure "Pirates can be very dangerous and you would seriously think that after your father's death you would hate the ocean." "But I don't so lets go! Come on." Jen pleaded practically on her knees "How does your Uncle even know so much about the sea anyways? Is he a sailor or Navy man?" Jezzy asked trying to take Jen's mind away from the beach for at least a second "Uh not exactly. He is a captain of his own ship and he does sail around the world. Well at least the Caribbean at least. But he's not what most would call a Navy man or even a sailor for that matter." "I don't understand. Then what is he?" Jezzy asked confused, which was a mormal state for her. Jen paused to think about it for a second. Before finally chosing her words carefully. "He's more of what you call a free spirit." Jen answered, and she was telling the truth. She was just bending it a little first. "So can we go! Please, please, pleeaase!" Jen begged "Fine!" Jezzy sighed giving in "On one condition. We at no time get with in 50 feet of the man." "Agreed. Let me just give theses boxes to Geoffery to take home." Jen said walking over to a man who had just pulled up driving one of the most beautiful carriages in the city of Singapor. Sorry theres more to Chapter One but I have to go! The rest tomorrow. That is when you'll find out who the mystery man is. But I think you already have an idea.

Chapter 1 Con. Girls Day Out Jen headed over and stopped in front of a beautiful and eccentric carriage and its short driver. The carriage was decorated in a golden color complete with royal purple silk curtains over the two windows. The interior was also made with gold and purple silk in a very detailed and complex design. The carriage was topped off with two of the best groomed and beautiful white Clydesdales, but Jen wasn't paying any attention to the carriage she was walking towards its driver, named Geoffrey, who had a look as if her was always smelling something rancid.
"Geoffrey I will not be needing the carriage this afternoon. Jezebel and I have decoded to take a brisk stroll around the beach, so I will be needing you to take theses back to the house." Jen said putting the boxes and packages into the man's arms. "Oh joy. I'm being paid to drive around dresses and other frilly, useless items woman buy for themselves. Wear once, before it being buried in the back of their closets." Geoffrey complained, turning to place the items into the carriage. Jen over the years and gotten used to Geoffrey and his dry sense of humor, but sometimes it was slightly irritating. "Your comments or not needed nor wanted Geoffrey." Jen said in a commanding voice "Yes Miss. My apologies." Geoffrey replied -through clenched teeth-"Would you like me to inform Mistress Sparrow of your whereabouts?" "Uh yes that would be great. Thank you." Jen said smiling once again "What time would you like me to return for you?" "Defiantly before dinner. Mother would kill me if I showed up late again." Jen said laughing a little "Well can you blame her?" Geoffrey whispered under his breath "What was that? I'm sorry I didn't hear you." Jen said getting agitated with him "I was justing saying Miss. That if I may be so bold. Coming in only in time for supper for a few weeks now, is a bit outrageous. It might be understandable if you were out with some gentlemen, but you're off gallivanting around town. Its incredibly juvenile." "That is to bold." Jen spat getting dangerously close to him "I am usually very patient with you Geoffrey. Ignoring all of your snide and rude comments. But lets get one thing straight. You are not my father nor will you ever be my father. You are a carriage driver nothing more nothing less, so you need to stop trying to be my father because you will find out quickly that you are not my father! Do you understand me?" Jen hissed venomously Geoffrey went to protest but Jen cut him off. "You should really consider your job before answering." "Yes Miss." Geoffrey replied meekly before getting atop the carriage and with a small snap of the reins taking off down the street. I know its a lot but I'm still not done with Chapter One. Its gets tiring typing all of this out. Give me a break!

Chapter 1 Girl's Day Out Continued "That was amazing!" Jezzy said to Jen impressed. They both turned and began walking towards the beach in a leasurliy pace. "Its no big deal." Jen said shrugging "I know you don;t want to hear this but there was some truth in what he was saying. You do turn down every boy that knocks on your door. Which is frankly a lot. You even turned down that handsom John Beckett." Jezzy said nudging Jen "Oh please!" Jen said rolling her eyes "Those looks are the only thing that boy has. I swear that boy has his nose so far up in the air, that some day I'm going to knock his feet right from under him, and watch with great joy as he sees the ground for the first time." "I wish John Beckett would knock on my door." Jezzy sighed dreamily "Go ahead and take him. Boys like John don't intrest me at all. I want a boy that wants to know me for me, and sees more then a pretty face, and a large inheritance. When that boy comes along I'll know instantly. It will be love at first sight." "Well you're not going to have any boys knocking on your door anytime soon." Jezzy said more to her feet then Jen. "What the hell does that me?!" Jen demanded "No need to swear Jen. I wasn't going to tell you, but since the topic of John was brought up, I decided I should." "Tell me what? Spit it out already Jezzy!" "Alright but I'm just the messenger remember. I overheard John talking to a group of his friends yesterday when I went to go get fitted for my new dress. And I heard him say that he was going to find out what you liked and give it to you, and he threatened all of his friends if they tried to get in his way he'd have them gotten rid of permentaly because you were his." Jezzy said preparing for the explosion that was going to come from Jen. "That has got to be some type of demented joke. He's acting like I'm some common object to be claimed. This is why I hate John Beckett." Jen screetched "Well we'll finish this conversation later because right now, were here." Jezzy said pointing to a man lying on the beach. Jezzy sprinted over to a cluster of palm trees and crotched behind one. Jen quickly joined her and looked over at the man she had been talking about. Thats it! I finished Chapter 1! WhooooHoooo! On to Chapter 2 tomorrow!

Chapter 2-Unusal Reunion Jen looked at the man suspiciously. "He seems familar?" she whispered quietly to Jezzy. "Now your acaictences with pirates too?" Jezzy said a little too harshly "No!" Jen snapped back defensivly. "I just feel like I've met him before." The man stood up and rubbed his head. He brushed himself off a little and turned to take in his surrondings. He did a quater turn allowing both Jen and Jezzy to see his full face. Jen gasped as soon as she saw him and sped off in his direction to Jezzy's dismay. "Jen stop! Don't!" Jezzy screamed getting up and sprinting after her! Sorry its not a lot! I'm just super busy!

I know I haven't posted in this in awhile but here you go! I'm going to add a few chapters!Chapter 2-Unusal Reunion Continued Jen ran as fast as she could towards the man. "Uncle Jack! Uncle Jack!" she screamed as loud as she could. Jack stood there perplexed. He knew he had hit his head but he didn't think he hit it hard enough to being hearing voices. He turned towards the voice hoping that there wasn't some hulluciation that came with it, when Jen suddenly sprang into his arms. The girl certaintly felt real. "Uncle Jack it really is you. I can't beleive it!" The fogginess in his brain slowly began to clear and his senses came back to him. "Jen?" he poundered aloud "Of coarse. Who'd you think it would be. Most of the tavern girls you know don't really call you Uncle Jack." Jen said sarcasstically but she still had a grin from ear to ear. "Well I'll be damned." he said kissing her forehead and setting her back on the ground. He stood back and gave her a once over. "No you must be mistaken. The Jennave Sparrow I know is a cute little thing. You're a beautiful young lady."
Before Jen could respond she was interrupted. "Jen, are you kidding me? You seriously know him?" Jezzy asked cautiously staying a few feet away from Jack. "Of course. This is my Uncle Jack I've told you so much about." Jen explained. She turned to Jack and smiled. "Uncle Jack this is my best friend in the whole world Jezebelle but you can call her Jezzy." Jen said introducing everyone. "Its a pleasure to make your aquantince." Jack said bowing slightly and sticking out his hand to shake Jezzy's "Yeah, sure." Jezzy said comepletly ignoring him. She turned back to Jen and glared at her. "Why didn't you ever mention he was a pirate?!" she hissed "You never asked." Jen answered like it was deadly obvious. "Fine. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." Jezzy said still ignoring Jack as she slowly walked away. As she walked she stole one more glance back at Jack before taking off on a flat run, to most likely go and tell anyone who would listen to her. "I don't think she likes me." Jack stated as he and Jen watched Jezzy leave. Jen shrugged a little. "She'll get over it."

Chapter 3-Love In The Air Jen and Jack began heading back onto the streets. She didn't realize a few hours had past until she saw Geoffery pulling the carriage up. "Wow. I can't believe its already time for dinner." she said shocked. They continued to the carriage and stopped in front of Geoffery who had just climbed down from his seat. "Its good to see you again, Geoffery." Jen said smiling. Geoffery ignored her, instead he looked over her shoulder at Jack who was standing there staring at his boots awkardly. "Who is he?" Geoffery asked with a sneer, looking at Jack disapprovingly. "This Geoffery is my Uncle Jack. And I expect you show him the same respect you show me. " Jen said once again becoming the one in charge. "Yes, Miss." Geoffery said apologeticaly, bowing, and opening the carriage door.
Jack slid into the carriage still not saying a word. Jen was about to get in after her when she felt a slight tap on her shoulder. She turned and and she looked somewhat surprised when she found John Beckett standing there. "Jennave Sparrow, I thought that was you." he said trying to make it sound as if it was just a coquicidence that he found Jen. Jen turned a way long enough to roll her eyes and then turned back to John. She plastered a fake smile across her face and tried to sound as nice as possible. "John its so good to see you." she lied "I bought you these." he said pulling a bouquet of white roses from behind his back. Jen took them, speechless. "Oh they're absolutly lovely." she finally managed to get out "I hoped you would like them. I was told they are your favorite." he said smiling because he had done something right. "Well you were right. They are my favorite." she said. She looked up and into his eyes and couldn't help but blush a little. Jack made a weird coughing noise that brought her back to reality. "Uh I have to go now, but thank you for the flowers." she leaned in a gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Well then maybe we could alk later Jennave?" John sggested "Yeah, maybe." she said getting into the carriage. She stopped before closeing the dorr fully. "And John-" he looked up at her questionly "-it's Jen." with that she closed the carriage door and leaned back into her seat. With a snap of the reins from Geoffrey the carriage took off down the worn, dirt street. "So who was he?" Jack asked as soon as Jen had gotten into the carriage and gotten herself settled. "Who was who?" Jen asked back trying to sound innocent and unaware of whom Jack was speaking about. "Fine, if you want to play that game, then I guess the next time you want be to tell you a story about one of my adventures I just won't know what you're talking about." Jack said smiling "That's completely unfair." Jen protested "I'm a pirate luv; no one said I had to play fair." Jen couldn't help smile at that. It was still sinking in that her uncle was a notorious pirate Captain. "Fine." Jen said giving in "His name is John Beckett, alright? There you know, now you can stop questioning me." Jack leaned back in thought. He scratched his chin, and played with one of the braids hanging down from his beard. "Beckett?" Jen nodded "As in Cutler Beckett's son?" he asked again Jen thought about it for a second and then finally nodded. "Yes, I believe that's his father. Why?" "Nothing you need to worry over, darling. I've just had a few run-ins with him. That’s all." Jack answered smiling again. "Friendly?" Jen asked, with her eyebrow raised. She knew what Cutler Beckett did and who he worked for. If Jack had, had some run-ins with him, there was about a 99 3/4% chance that that they weren't to have a cup of tea. "Unfortunately not." Jack answered after a slight pause. He pulled up his sleeve to reveal the capital P burned into his wrist, letting anyone who saw it to know he was a pirate and therefore wanted by the law.
Jen stared at the letter disgusted, She hated to see her uncle branded like a common cow. Jack noticed the look on Jen's face, so he quickly pushed his sleeve back down. "Now don't get all upset about it. Ol' Jack made sure he left his own mark on him too." Jack said grinning and wrapping an arm around Jen's shoulder. "So?" Jack said quickly changing the subject. "With a pretty face like that you must have the boys lined up for miles." Jen couldn't help but laugh and blush a little. "Well I used to." she started "But after I turned the first few down they stopped coming as often. And it doesn't help that Beckett scared them all away claiming I was his property." Jen added bitterly "Now this doesn't sound like the same girl who was going head over heels when he handed her some flowers." Jack stated a little confused. "I don't know. Sometimes he can be so sweet, kind, and oh so nice. Then other times he's a pig-headed, self-obssesed, arrogant jerk." Jen said looking out the small piece of glass that passed as a window. "Sounds like the boy has a spilt personality." Jack said only joking. "I know." Jen agreed, totally serious
As she watched all the town houses slowly goodbye her gaze drifted upon a young man carry a stack of papers. She recogized him as Ben Williams, the printer's apprentice. He noticed her and smiled. When he did Jen's heart began to quicken and a shot of electricity shot through her body. He must have felt something too because he didn't unlock the gaze until the carriage rounded the corner. Even though Jen couldn't see him anymore, she still kept her face plastered to the window, until Jack brought her back to earth. "Jen? Jen, you still in there?" he asked shaking her slightly "Um, what?" she asked shaking her head trying to clear the fogginess that had suddenly enveloped it. "I asked if you were alright. I kind've lost you there for a minute." Jack repeated. Jen slowly nodded her head. "Yeah I'm fine. I just must have been day dreaming or something." she lied "I didn't think I was that boring." Jack said pouting a little "You know thats not what I meant." Jen said sitting back down next to him.
"So how did you end up on the beach anyway?" she asked as casually as possible. She had finally asked the question she had been dieing to ask Jack ever since they had the little reunion at the beach. "Thats a story for another time, luv." Jack said trying to sound mysterious, but the truth was he wasn't quite ready to tell Jen. "Alright." Jen said clearly disappointed "It's not that I don't want to tell you. It's just too much for you to handle right now." at least that time Jack had only slightly bent the truth. "Fine, I'm not forcing you to tell me!" Jen snapped "Why don't we just drop it." Jack snapped back "Well we have to because were home, and you know how upset grandfather gets if you talk about anything pirate related around him." Jen said as the carriage pulled into a stone paved pathway that led up to a beautiful two-story Victorian mansion. "You mean the ol' man is still alive. What's he waiting for? My life would be so much easier if I didn't have to worry about him sending the British Navy after me all the time." Jack spat "He's only trying to give you the life he wanted you to have." Jen said softly "Well thats comforting to know that my father has always wanted to see take the Hempen Jig." Jack said sarcastically. Jen just laughed and looked out the window as the house got closer and closer.

Chapter 4-Home, Not So Sweet Home Geoffrey slowly pulled the carriage to a stop. Jen’s mother, Lillian, slowly walked out of the house. Jen stared at her. Her mother used to be lively and full of energy. She always gave Jen hope that nothing would ever happen to her father because Jen was always afraid something bad would happen every time the Navy made him go back out to sea. Jen had always thought her mother and father were invincible, and for awhile it seemed like they were but when her mother had received the news of her father’s sudden death, everything changed. Her once beautiful eyes that shown bright, were now dull. She used to seep happiness and joy from every pore in her body but now she could barely get up in the morning. She now even looked older then she really was. The whole thing always depressed Jen.
“Mother, you’ll never believe who I found on the beach today?” she said trying to get her mother excited. “Not today Jennave. I’m not in the mood to entertain guests.” She said flatly. “Well fine, then I’ll just leave.” Jack said stepping out of the carriage. Jen’s mother looked past Jen and her face broke into a grin when she saw Jack. Jen couldn’t believe it. Her mother hadn’t smiled since her father died. Now in a minute of being with Jack she had already began to act like her old self. “Jack I can’t believe it’s really you. It had to be at least two years since I last saw you.” Lillian said slowly walking over to Jack, still not believing that it could really be him. “You’re still looking as beautiful as ever.” Jack said smiling as he gave Lillian a kiss on the cheek and a warm hug. He lingered with his lips on her cheek for a few seconds, before finally releasing her. “Same old Jack. Even now trying to flirt with me.” She said laughing. “You can’t blame a man for trying.” Jack said shrugging. Jen stood there confused. Was Jack seriously flirting with her mother? Well at least she now knew the rumor about Jack never finding a woman he didn’t try to woo was true. “Not to break up this little reunion but maybe we should go inside. Grandfather is probably wondering where we are.” Jen suggested “You’re absolutely correct Jennave. Jack would you care to stay for dinner?” Lillian asked “How could I resist.” Jack answered following the two girls inside. Jen closed the door behind everyone. Jack took a look around the front hall. It still looked the same as the last time he was here. Shining wooden floors, but covered up with large oriental rugs. Defiantly foreign. The spiral staircase that led up to he second floor which held all the bedrooms, had a mahogany railing and again the stairs were covered with a large carpet. A white crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling showering the room with little diamonds of light. A mahogany side table sat in the middle of the hallway where a beautiful blue and white China vase was now being replaced with the white roses Jen had received by one of the many maids that were everywhere.
“Jennave, would you mind calling your grandfather down here.” Lillian asked, adjusting the flowers so they were to her liking. She was a perfectionist and was constantly fixing everything the maids did. “Of course.” Jen said running off up the stairs. A few seconds later she came back down the stairs closely followed by Richard Sparrow, Jen’s grandfather and Jack’s father. Though he now walked with a cane and he wasn’t as able to do as many of the things he use to be able to do, his eyes still shone bright with strength and authority and he was still able to get any Navy man to stop dead in their tracks with just one yell. “Well Jack, finally decide to settle down and begin acting like an adult?” Richard asked slowly walking down the stairs. “Not a chance, father.” Jack said stiffly "Well then you might as well leave because as long as you are a pirate you are not welcome in my house.” He snapped stepping in front of Jack. “Can we for once get through one dinner without you two arguing?” Jen pleaded stepping in between the two men. “Stay out of this Jen.” Jack commanded pushing Jen away. “Don’t you touch her!” Richard yelled “You can’t just waltz in here after all this time and think you actually have any control of her!” “I’m still her Uncle aren’t I?” Jack screamed back “Only by blood. If you were really her Uncle you would’ve have been here for her and Lillian the past to years, but you weren’t. Unlike you I was here for them because I actually have a sense of wrong and right!” “I didn’t come here to be insulted by an old man like you!” Jack shouted at Richard “No one’s making you stay. There’s the door.” Richard said pointing to the front door with his cane. “I’m beginning to think this was just a big mistake.” Jack said “Now you know how I feel with you as a son.” Richard hissed. That was the last straw. Jack had had enough. With a remorseful look at Lillian and Jen he walked out the door slamming it behind him. The wall shook and it and it cause a China dish to fall of its side table and crash to the floor. As Jen watched Jack leave she felt all the emotions she had been bottling up since her father’s death slowly coming to the surface. “Don’t worry about it so much. He’s just a waste of life.” Richard said to Lillian and Jen. It was supposed to be comforting but it wasn’t working to well. “How can you say that?!” Jen asked practically yelling “He’s your son, damn it! How can you just stand there with a straight face and say you don’t feel anything for him?” “It’s actually quite easy.” Richard said calmly. “If that’s the way you feel than you’re no better than he is.” Jen said crying freely as she ran up stairs and locked herself in her room.

Chapter 5-Midnight Misadventures Jen laid down on her bed and before long was fast asleep. When she awoke the house was dark and quiet. The full moon cast an eerie glow around her room. She walked out to her balcony and looked down at the town. It was dark except for a few places here and there. She could faintly hear music coming from the local tavern. She knew for a fact that Jack was most likely there having a drink but she had no way of getting there.
She let out a heavy sigh before heading over to her large wardrobe. She opened it a flicked through some of her dresses. A dress that she knew wasn’t hers caught her eye. She pulled it out and held it out in front of her. It looked like a dress one of the tavern girls would wear. It was severely low cut but compared to her normal attire it was very avant-garde. She tried it on and after essentially seeing herself in it she found it was way more conservative than any of the other tavern girl’s dresses.
She walked out to her balcony and swung her legs over the balustrade. She shimmied to the edge of the railing before carefully crossing over to a pillar that held up the roof over the front porch. She slid down the pillar and with a soft thud landed in the grass. She jogged down the cobble-stoned driveway that led up to the house and headed onto the dirt streets.
In a matter of ten minutes she stood outside the local tavern. She pushed open the heavy oak doors and stepped inside. When she did she was almost knocked over by the practically unbearable stench that overflowed the place. There were men everywhere. All of them were either drunk, passed out, or just about drunk. Tavern maids and tavern girls floated around the room. Almost as drunk as some of the men. Jen couldn’t believe Jack could like a place like this.
She began pushing her way through the packed room in search of Jack when a hand came out of the crowd and pulled her onto their lap.
“I don’t think I’ve seen your pretty little face around here before, missy.” a man with an incredibly deep voice said. Jen swiveled in her chair just enough to get a look at the guy. He was slightly balding and only had a few teeth left. The ones he did have were gold. His words slurred and his eyes were totally dilated. He was unmistakably drunk. “Ewww! Get your filthy hands off of me!” Jen demanded “Now why would I do that?” the man asked “I haven’t even got my dance yet.” “If you don’t unhand me now I swear you will regret it.” Jen hissed “Now is that so?” the man said chuckling. He turned to the other men around him. “Did you hear that fellas. This little girl here is trying to threaten me.” The men around him laughed and began forming a circle around Jen and the man. “Well I don’t take to well to threatening. Even from a girl.” the guy said thoroughly pissed off.
Jack sat off in a far corner. He sipped his rum as he watched with great concentration as one of the prettier barmaids danced for him. He might just have to repay her later. He completed his rum and was just about to go and try to persuade her to what Jack had in mind when abruptly the tavern hushed. The only thing that could be heard was the man and Jen.
“Not so tough anymore are you?’ the man asked as he slammed Jen back down to the floor. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and looked up at him. In one rapid motion she got up, broke an empty rum bottle in half and had it pointed at him. “You were saying.” Jen said smiling viciously “Why you little whore.” the man said grabbing Jen’s wrist so she was obligated to drop the bottle. “How dare you insult me like that.” as he said this, his hand came and struck Jen hard on the cheek. Her knees collapsed before she finally fell to the floor. “This ‘ill be the last time you think you can ever threaten me.” he said pulling out his pistol and aiming it at Jen’s head. Jack pushed his way to the front of the crowd. He stopped shocked to see the man, who he knew was called Wade, with a pistol pointed at Jen. Just as Wade was about to pull the trigger another shot rang out, knocking the pistol out of Wade’s hand. Jen and Wade both turned to see Jack with his pistol drawn. In those few seconds Jack was able to draw, fire, and even reload.
“I think you best be letting her go Wade.” Jack said fiercely. “Make me!” Wade shot back. Jen ignored Wade and looked at Jack. “May I?” she asked indicating Wade. “Go right ahead.” Jack said shrugging. Before Wade could figure out what Jack and Jen were talking about Jen had already jumped up and kicked Wade to the ground. The truth was Jack had taught Jen everything she knew about fighting but he had told her that there were two times when you really shouldn’t try to fight. One was when you were in a tavern and clearly outnumbered if you did try and start a fight and two was when you were surrounded by the British Navy. Since Jen figured number two would never apply to her she had forgotten it but she had remembered the first one.
Before Wade could react Jen already had the heel of her boot pushing down hard on his throat. A few of the men that Wade was with stepped foreword to try and help him but Jack stopped them.
“I don’t think I would be doing that if I were you?” Jack warned “And why not? There’s only one of you and four of us.” one in the front said “Because I’m Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy.” Jack said pointing his pistol at the man’s head. Te men got the hint and shrunk back into the crowd. “Where the hell did that come from?!” Wade asked breathing heavily Before Jen could answer Jack had already dragged her out into the street.
“What the hell did you do that for?!” Jen screamed. A drunken man came stumbling out of the tavern, still holding a practically full bottle of rum. Jen stole the bottle from his hand just as he passed out a couple feet away. She took a few big swallows, before Jack took the bottle away. “What in the hell do you think your doing. I really doubt your mother would allow you to drink rum.” Jack said finishing off the bottle. There was no point in wasting a perfect bottle of rum. “Fighting can make a girl thirsty okay.” Jen answered back defensively “I don’t care what it makes you. And anyways you should be thanking me for saving your life back there. I know Wade and he would have most likely killed you.” Jack said crossing his arms “Yeah right. I would’ve totally kicked his ass.” Jen scoffed “Hey watch your language. First you get in a tavern fight, then your drinking rum, and now you’re swearing. Next you’re going to tell me you sleep around.” Jack said, actually a little worried she was going to say yes. He relaxed a little when she started laughing, though it was more of a harsh laugh. “I’m not you Uncle Jack.” Jen said in an incredibly bitchy tone. “Hey!” Jack said defensively “For your information, little missy, I do not.” Okay so that was a lie but he was trying to be somewhat of a good role model for Jen.
Just as the words escaped his mouth, the girl who had been dancing for him earlier walked out onto the street. “Well Jack, you said you were going to repay me. A girl can’t wait for you upstairs all night.” she said in a sickening whisper. Jen shook her head disappointed. “Yeah right.” She said. “I trusted you and you lied to me Jack. Grandfather was right. You’ll never be able to think about anyone except yourself. I can’t believe I tried to find you and see if you were okay.” Jen spat before turning and running into the night. “Did I say something?” she woman asked clueless. Jack shook his head before running after Jen. “Jen wait! Let me explain!” he called

Chapter 6-An Angel In The Night Jen ran down the murky streets. She didn’t know where she was going but she didn’t care. Her spilt lip hurt like hell but she didn’t have time to stop. She could already hear Jack behind her. She took a succinct second to look behind her when she felt herself make contact with another person. The person had been hauling a stack of documents, but now all the papers were on the ground. “I’m so sorry. Let me help you with that.” She said bending down and picking up as many as the papers as she could. “Its fine.” A young man’s voice answered “They’re just a little dusty now.” Jen tried to get a good look at his face but all the papers were blocking it. She stood up and handed him the papers she had picked up. He moved the papers away from his face and Jen almost passed out, well not really but she was sure astonished. The man she had run into was Ben Williams.
There was a gauche silence where nobody said anything because they were both so stunned. “Well thank you.” He finally said turning to go. He stopped himself and turned back. “I know this might sound rather straight foreword but are you Jennave Sparrow by any chance?” he asked. Jen smiled and nodded. “Yes that’s me, but please just call me Jen. I didn’t catch your name.” “How rude I’m Benjamin Williams, but you may call me Ben.” He said setting down the papers so he could kiss Jen’s hand. Jen blushed a little but it was too dark for Ben to see. “It’s nice to know chivalry isn’t dead.” She said. A few rays of moon light peeked over some of the roofs bathing Ben and Jen in a light blue glow. As Jen looked at the stars in the sky Ben began to study Jen a little more intimately. That’s when he noticed her spilt lip.
"You’re hurt.” He said reaching out and lightly touching her lip. Jen quivered a little under his touch but didn’t pull away. “I’m sorry that was completely improper.” He said letting his hand drop back to his side. “No, please don’t stop.” Jen said. Ben smiled and turned slightly “Well if you’d like I can help clean that up a little. My house is just down the street a little ways.” Ben said pointing in the direction “Well uh...” Jen said. She was a little unsure because she had only met him just now but when she heard Jack stumbling over some boxes and barrels she was ready to get out of there. “Sure.” She finally answered. She took his arm and let him lead her away down the street.
Ben led Jen down the street and stopped outside the printer’s shop. “Wait I thought you were taking me to your house?” Jen said confused “Mister Jenkins lets me live upstairs in a small room above the shop. In return for working for him he lets me live there and gives me enough money to buy food and clothes when I absolutely need them.” Ben answered leading Jen around to the back of the building where an old, rickety set of stairs led up to a second floor. Ben slowly began climbing up the stairs. “Watch out for that fourth stair it’s really unstable.” He said. But of course Jen stepped on it anyways. It broke beneath her and just as she was about to fall through the hole Ben grabbed her forearm and pulled her up onto the next step. “Like I said be careful.” He said smiling
At the top of the stairs Ben pulled out a ring of keys and unlocked the door. Jen walked inside and looked around as Ben lit a candle. Now with the light Jen could distinguish everything even better. It was a one room house. The bed was pressed into a crook where it stayed unmade. There was a small washbasin with a mirror that was so tarnished and smeared with dirt you could barley make out anything through it anymore. There were two chairs and a small table that looked as though Ben had made it himself, which he had. There was only one small window but it was too elevated to be able to see through it and a small fireplace at the far end of the room that was being occupied by a few charred pieces of wood.
Ben showed Jen over to one of the chairs before pulling walking over to the fireplace and starting a small fire. He grabbed a wet cloth from the washbasin and walked back over to Jen. He pulled the second chair up and carefully dabbed at the blood on Jen’s lip and chin. The silence was a little unnerving to Jen so she tried to start up some conversation. “So uh where are your parents?” she asked “My father died over in England. He was charged with a crime he didn’t commit and so they hung him.” Ben answered looking at the floor. “Oh I’m so terribly sorry. That must have been so hard on your poor mother and you.” Jen said sympathetically. “I was actually too young to remember it, but my mother then got both of us passage on a boat headed down here but she caught pneumonia on the way here and she didn’t survive the trip.” Ben concluded. Now Jen felt really bad for asking the question. Her and her damn curiosity. She couldn’t have just dealt with the silence. “This probably doesn’t help but my father died about two years ago in a hurricane so I can sort’ve relate to you.” Jen said quietly trying to ease the new tension in the room. “I’m terribly sorry. At least I don’t remember my parents that well; it must be so hard for you.” Ben said placing one of his big, rough hands over Jen’s small, soft hands. “It gets easier I guess.” She replied shrugging.
There was another awkward silence when they both just kind of looked around the room. They slowly began to look back and they’re eyes met. Before Jen knew what she was really doing they were both leaning foreword. Jen closed her eyes when their lips finally met. At first she was a little nervous. Living the sheltered life her parents had made her live she hadn’t actually ever gotten to kiss a boy but she slowly began to relax. For being a little dirty and covered in ink Ben had really soft lips. When they finally separated they were both grinning like idiots. But just as quickly as Ben had started smiling he stopped. “I can’t believe I just did that. I’m some street rat and you’re this high classed daughter of a Commodore. And your uncle. Isn’t he in town?! Isn’t he a pirate?! He’s going to kill me when he finds out!” Ben babbled “If he finds out.” Jen corrected still sitting calmly in her seat. “What do you mean if?” Ben questioned running a hand through his shoulder length dirty blonde hair. “I mean I’m not going to tell him and I sure as hell hope you wouldn’t tell him so the only way he would find out is if he somehow followed me here.” Jen said getting up
“And besides it takes two people to kiss.” Jen said getting up and kissing Ben again. “Well isn’t this a slightly revolting sight.” Jack said leaning in the door frame. Jen clenched her teeth and turned to Jack. “Now you’re following me!” she screamed “I thought you were upset but apparently you were just trying to jump the first boy you could find.” Jack shouted back “Once again Uncle Jack I’m not you!” Jen was furious now and it could be seen on her bright red face “At least I take some time to get to know the girl before I begin kissing her!” Jack shot back “Asking what her name is doesn’t count!” Jen spat “That’s enough from you! I’m taking you home. I really pretty sure your mother will agree with me.” “I’m not going anywhere with you! You’re not my father! I even beginning to doubt were related because I know that there is no way in hell I’m related to someone as cold hearted as you.” Jack grabbed Jen’s arm and began pulling her to the door. “It didn’t bother me when my father said and it doesn’t bother me when you say it.” “Ben do something!” Jen screamed “Uh let her go! You’re hurting her.” Ben commanded trying to get Jack to let go of Jen. “Boy I wouldn’t be doing that because I can do some much more to you.” Jack hissed. Ben slowly shrank back into the room as Jack pulled Jen onto the street.
Jen pulled free of Jack before stomping down the street. “I can’t believe you just embarrassed me like that! What’s wrong with you?!” Jen screamed, feeling hurt and betrayed by the one adult she thought she could trust. “What’s wrong with me?! I’m not the one who started the bar fight then ends up jumping some random man on the street.” Jack shouted back. Jen stops and spins to face Jack. “For your information I probably know more about Ben then you know about any of the girl’s you’ve kissed.” Jen challenged. Jack thought about it and suddenly Elizabeth Swann jumped into his mind. Technically she had kissed him but a kiss is still a kiss. “Actually little missy I know quite a lot about a girl I kissed.” Jack spat back “Really? What’s her name then?” Jen said crossing her arms “Her name is Elizabeth Swann. She’s the governor’s daughter. She might still be engaged and I’ve saved her life quite a few times.” Jen was surprised that was a lot more information then she was expecting. “Fine, that’s one girl out of what hundreds?” “You know I’m getting tired of your sass. I’ve taught you everything and I’ve tried to be patient but there’s only so much one man can take. Fine you’ve tried so hard to lose me well congratulations as soon as I get you back home I’m gone!” “No Uncle Jack because you can’t lose something you never had!” Jen spat turning away from jack as she began to cry. She stomped up the front drive and only stopped when she got to the front door.

Chapter 7-Everyone Is Hurt By The One's They Love Sometimes Jen yanked open the door and stomped into the front hall. Her mother, Lillian, who had been frenetically waiting for Jen to get back home, scooped her up into an enormous hug. “Mother you’re smothering me. I can’t breath.” Jen complained pushing away. “After the scare you put me through that should be the least of your concerns. Do you know how petrified I was when I went to arouse you this morning and find your bed empty and your balcony doors wide open?” “I’m guessing it looked like how you’re acting right now.” Jen said sardonically “I can see you really care.” Lillian said. Her grandfather, Richard, suddenly appeared at the top of the staircase. He slowly hobbled down the stairs before stopping next to Jack. He examined Jen and his eyes bulged out when he saw the dress she was wearing. “I can see you did a great job keeping her safe, Jack.” He spat “Now she looks just like one of those tavern girls you always seem to be sleeping with.”
Lillian just ignored Richard and hugged Jack. “So exactly where was she and what was she doing?” Lillian asked, not really trusting Jen to tell her the truth. Jack though about it momentarily. He knew he shouldn’t lie to Lillian but if it meant keeping Jen away from the tavern and that boy, Ben he could live with himself. “Well Lillian, she had a very busy night. I was in the tavern minding my own business, having a nice drink when a fight broke out in the middle of the place. I pushed my way over to see who was fighting because though I shouldn’t really admit this it’s sort’ve entertaining to watch two drunk men beat each other up.” Jack started "Because that’s such a mature form of entertainment.” Jen snapped “As I was saying when I saw who was in the bar fight I was shocked to find Jen in the middle of it. I pulled her out of there and began to reprimand her on her poor actions but she was already to drunk to comprehend anything I was saying.” “Please tell me neither of you are seriously buying any of this.” Jen said, crossing her arms. “Jen stop interrupting your Uncle and let him finish.” Lillian commanded “Well I then tried to take her home but she ran from me. When I was finally able to find her she was in some boy’s house kissing him. I’m just glad I got there when I did because it looked like it was going to go farther.” Jack concluded “Jennave Catherine Sparrow! I can’t believe you would do such a thing. Have your grandfather and I taught nothing? Now thank your Uncle Jack for being so watchful of you and then go to your room. We will be discussing your punishment later.” Lillian ordered
Jen slammed past her mother and walked up the first few stairs. “Sure I’ll thank him! Thank him for being such a lying bastard and for turning my life into a living hell!” Jen shouted, outraged. “Hey watch your tongue, girl! I’m still your Uncle and you’ll be treating me with respect.” Jack shouted back “Excuse me?!” Jen asked in a fierce whisper “You are not my uncle, you aren’t even family anymore. I had just been naive enough to mistake you for something you are so clearly not. Someone I thought actually gave a damn, someone I had even gone so far as to think was a lot like myself, but I was wrong. Oh how I was wrong.” Jen paused and let out a harsh laugh. “And to even imagine I had considered you like another father for me is so outrageous now it’s not even funny. But now unfortunately I can see you now for what you really are. A dirty, no good, selfish, lying, pirate and you will never be anything else. I am even beginning to doubt some of the stories you told me or even the supposed grand adventure that landed you on the beach. Now get out of my father’s house or I swear to you will inform the authorities of your arrival. I’m sure Lord Cutler Beckett would be more then pleased to hear that.” “Lillian, Father?” Jack said a little helplessly looking for some support but they both just averted their eyes. “I’d think you had better go, Jack.” Lillian finally said opening the front door. Jack took one more look back at the three people that made up the little family he had left, before turning and walking out the door

Chapter 8-Making Up For Your Mistakes May Take More Than A Sorry Jack couldn’t believe what had just happened. He had let the only three people he actually still cared about just leave his life, this time it seemed for good. Even as he stood there on the front steps he began thinking more about what Jen had said. Most of it was true, his stories were usually embellished and his latest so called adventure that had landed him in Singapore wasn’t even an adventure. It was just a giant embarrassment.
The truth was the one thing he had never been really able to tell anyone. He didn’t know why he always felt the need to make himself sound better than he really was, he just did. He was still finding it hard to believe he hadn’t actually told Jen the truth about why he had landed on the beach, usually he was pretty honest with her but something about how much she had changed told him not too.
The real story was he had gotten drunk again, but this time it almost cost him his crew, his ship, and his life. While he was incoherent a Spanish pirate ship attacked the Pearl. Jack was too drunk to give orders and managed to get himself captured. Luckily the Spaniards only had a debt to settle with Jack so they let the rest of his crew free. Well after about an hour or two of sailing he had been brought up to the main deck to talk to the Captain. Ironically he was still drunk and while arguing with the Captain had tumbled overboard. He somehow managed to swim to the beach though his alcohol level was higher than his blood level, and that’s when Jen had found him. As he thought about what had happened he was relieved that he hadn’t told Jen. He would have sounded like a complete idiot.
He somehow had wandered down to the docks. He skipped a few stones when a conversation between two merchants caught his attention. “Yeah I heard that too. The Black Pearl is docking in Tortuga until its Captain shows up again.” The first merchant said. He was an older man with a grey and thinning beard and a balding head “So does that mean you’re still doing business there?” the second asked. He was slightly younger and had a mess of brown curls. “It’s the only place you can do business anymore and actually make a profit. What with the East India Trading Company controlling everything now.” The first replied. Jack walked over to the two men. “Gentlemen I couldn’t help overhearing your discussion, and I thought I’d make you a proposition.” Jack said smiling slyly “Yeah and what would that be?” the second merchant asked “I willing to give whichever one 15 shillings to sail to Tortuga and inform my crew on the Black Pearl that I’m here in Singapore.” Jack bargained “Were supposed to believe that you’re the infamous Jack Sparrow, Captain of the feared and equally infamous ship the Black Pearl?” The older man asked raising an eyebrow. “It’s Captain Jack Sparrow if you don’t mind and if you don’t believe me then obviously this won’t change your minds either.” Jack said pulling up his shirt sleeve to reveal the capital letter P and the tattoo of a sparrow flying over a sunset. “Well slap me thrice and hand me to my mama, it’s really Captain Jack Sparrow.” The older man said slapping his knee and laughing. “So does that mean you’re willing to do what I ask?” “Of course, since I’m the one setting sail for Tortuga tomorrow morning I’d be more than happy to inform your crew about your whereabouts. That is if I receive my payment before I leave.” Now it was the older man doing the bargaining. Jack pulled out a sack from his jacket and counted out 15 shillings. “I believe that was our agreement.” Jack said shaking the man’s hand. “But for fair warning if I hear word that you didn’t do as I asked you won’t be wanting to run into me again.” Jack said “Don’t worry sir; I’m a man of my word.”
Jack nodded and walked away. Maybe if his crew did find him he’d be able to patch things up with Jen. But that was only if that man did actually tell his crew about where he was. And then he still figured it was going to take more than a apology to get Jen to forgive him anyway.

Chapter 9-Unexpected Departure It had been a little over a month and the Black Pearl still hadn’t arrived in Singapore yet. Jack hadn’t talked to or even seen Jen since that fight they had. He stood down at the docks with a couple of fishermen spreading more myths about him. “And then they made me their chief.” He said. A blaze of black sails on the horizon caught his eye. He grabbed a spyglass from another man standing a few feet away and looked in the direction he had seen the sails. Sure enough it was the Pearl. It would still take a few hours for them to make it to the dock, so it gave him enough time to say goodbye to Lillian, his father, and of course Jen. He handed the spyglass back and took off at a fast pace towards the large estate.
Jack stood once again at the front door. He went to knock but stopped himself. He finally got up enough nerve and rapped on the door. A few seconds later one of the maids opened it. “May I help you, sir?” she asked in a small, quiet voice “Yes is Mistress Sparrow in?” he asked “Yes sir. I’ll get her for you.” She said opening the door wider to allow Jack to step inside. “Please wait here while I inform her of your arrival.” She said rushing off into a side room. Not long later she appeared with Lillian behind her. Lillian stopped surprised to see Jack. “You’re still here. I thought you’d be out of here after that threat Jen made.” Lillian joked, but still hugging Jack. “Actually that’s why I’m here. I was able to reach my crew and there just a little off shore. They’ll be at the dock in a few hours so I decided to say goodbye before I left.” Jack said stepping back from Lillian. “That’s unusually kind of you.” Lillian replied “But I’m glad you came.”
Richard appeared at the end of the hall, reading glasses perched on his nose and eyes glued to a letter. “Lillian, did you see this. The East India Trading Company is put tax on even more items. It’s positively ridiculous!” He looked up for Lillian’s response but stopped when he saw Jack. “Well I see your back again.” He said pulling his glasses off and setting the letter down on a side table all at the same time. “He came to say goodbye Richard, so for at least this one time could you be nice.” Lillian begged “Now please, Lillian. Don’t ask for the impossible.” Jack said. Lillian smiled as she urged Richard to say goodbye. “Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I said goodbye.” Richard said finally giving in. “Goodbye Jack. I hope you don’t end up getting yourself killed.” He said extending his hand to Jack. “Thank you, I think.” Jack replied shaking his father’s hand. He looked up at the stairs where he knew Jen’s room was. “If she’s home I was wondering if it would be okay if I said goodbye to Jen?” Jack asked “I have no problem with it but I’d be careful. She’s not been in the best mood lately.” Lillian said “I’m always careful.” Jack said smiling as he walked up the stairs
Jack walked down the hall that led to Jen’s room and paused at Jen’s door. He knocked quietly three times before opening the door, not even waiting for a response. Jen was sitting in an arm chair in the corner with a book in her lap. “Hi.” Was all Jack could think of to say. “Hello.” Jen replied marking her page in her book and setting it down. Jack didn’t say anything so Jen spoke up. “Do you want something?” she asked “Uh I just wanted to come and tell you that I was able to get a hold of my crew and they’ll be in port in a few hours so I just stopped by to say goodbye.” Jack said examining the upholstery on a chair next to him. “So that’s it you’re leaving?” Jen asked standing up. “I thought that’s what you wanted. It sure seemed like it when you were yelling at me.” “I was angry then.” Jen explained “No, really? I couldn’t tell.” Jack said a little rudely “And I don’t want you to leave.” Jen said quietly more into her dress than to Jack. “What was that?” he asked looking over at Jen fully for the first time he had entered the room. “I said I don’t want you to leave.” Jen repeated, still really quietly “Oh well you were right before. I’ve just been a problem. Not really used to acting like a responsible adult so I’m just going to go back to the sea and my ship. At least I’m able to control my ship at least.” Jack said surprised by Jen’s words. Jen and Jack just looked at each other when suddenly Jen bolted into his arms, practically knocking Jack down. He grabbed the top of the chair to balance himself.
Jen buried her face in Jack’s shirt. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to yell at you like that! All you’ve tried to do is help and I’ve just made it as difficult as possible for you. I hope you can forgive me.” Jen sobbed. Jack didn’t know what to do. He’d never at a woman crying on his shoulder. Not even a miniature one. He patted her back as comfortingly as possible until Jen’s sobbing began to subside. “Its fine, luv. Now please stop crying before you ruin the only good shirt I have left.” Jack begged. Jen laughed a little and backed away from Jack. Her laughing mixed in with her crying made her hic-up, which only made her laugh harder. “Now that’s what I want to hear.” Jack said smiling. He glanced over at the small clock on the wall, then back at Jen. “I hate to have to leave now, but I must. My crew’s going to be waiting for me.” Jack said giving Jen one last hug and a kiss on her forehead. “Now try to stay out of trouble and please don’t cause your poor mother any more stress okay.” He said walking to the door. “Bye Uncle Jack.” Jen whispered “Bye Jen.” With that Jack closed the door and headed back down the hall.
With one last hug for Lillian and a nod to his father he exited the house and headed down the drive. Jen watched from her balcony in a daze like. She couldn’t believe her Uncle Jack was gone already, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that it was her fault.

Chapter 10-You'd Be Surprised How Much A Person Will Change For Someone They Love Jen watched Jack leave and let out a grave sigh. She just had this strong sensation that if she didn’t do something fast she’d miss her chance to see Jack ever again. She ran down the hallway and into a guest room. She knew her grandmother had kept a bunch of boxes of her father’s and Jack’s old clothes in the back of one of the closets. Her grandfather was ignorant of this little fact otherwise he would have thrown them away after her grandmother’s death.
She flung open the door to one of the closets. She pushed some other boxes of stuff out-of-the-way and pulled out an old chest. It was locked. She yanked on it as hard as she could but nothing happen. She grabbed one of the silver candle sticks on a night stand and slammed it on the lock. It broke off after a few tries and Jen was able to get the chest open. Inside were a number of shirts, pants, boots, and hats. Even a few sashes. As Jen got to the bottom her hand felt two things. They were both cold and seemed to be made of metal. She pulled the items out but sliced her hand on one of them. She wasn’t surprised when she found a small pistol and a short sword. She recognized them both as belonging to her father. They had been given to him by her grandfather after his promotion ceremony. She pulled out one of the simpler shirts and pants and one of the nicer tricorn hats and sashes and ran to the bathroom to change.
A couple minutes later she stood in front of the floor length mirror examining herself. She looked okay but there was still something that bothered her. She looked too much like herself and that was something she was trying not to do. She twirled one of her chestnut curls around her finger while she thought about what it could be. It suddenly hit her and she stopped playing with her hair. Actually it was her hair that was the problem. It was way to long she’d never be able to pass as a deckhand. She took of the hat and grabbed a pair of scissors from a drawer. She couldn’t believe she was about to really do this. She measured the length she wanted it to be then lined up the scissors. She closed her eyes and with one quick snip her hair went floating to the floor. She tied up her remaining shoulder length hair with a piece of ribbon and put the hat back on. Satisfied with her new look she slipped the pistol and sword into her belt and headed back to her own room.
She headed over to her balcony and jumped over to one of the columns. She slid down it and landed a few inches away from a window. Her grandfather walked by making Jen have to duck, getting her clothes dirtier, which wasn’t totally a bad thing. As soon as he passed by Jen got back up and sprinted down the drive and towards the docks. When she got there she found a few crew members on the main deck but Jack was nowhere in sight. Jen walked up the gangplank confidently and right up to the first crew member she could find. “Excuse me I was-“Jen stopped herself when the crew member looked at her weird. That’s when she realized she was still talking like a girl. She coughed before continuing in the deepest voice she could manage. “-I was wondering if you needed any extra deckhands?” she asked “Sorry son, we have enough people on board as it is.” The crew member answered. He walked away and Jen turned back around and headed back down the gangplank.
She was just about to give up when she saw a hatch that was meant to be used for cargo loading but it looked as though it never had been used. She walked over too it and pulled at the handle. It didn’t move, the sides were caked with sand and it had stuck the door closed like glue. She dug away some of the sand with her hands and carved the rest out with the tip of her sword. She pulled again with all her might and it flung open sending her flying back into a sand pile. She got up and brushed her self off before crawling in through the hatch. She closed it behind her and looked around. She was defiantly in the cargo hold. It was dark, damp, and was in desperate need of some sunlight, but she figured it could have been worse. She huddled in a corner and prayed that they wouldn’t find her until after they had set sail.

Chapter 11-Mother Nature's Wrath About an hour or so after they set sail the ship was caught in the middle of a thunderstorm. Jen was tossed around below deck like a rag doll. She could hear Jack on the main deck yelling orders to his crew but Jen was too weak from being thrown around so much to call for him.
The boat jolted again sending Jen flying over to the other side of the ship. Her head slammed hard against the side before she crumpled to the floor. She touched the back of her head and wasn’t totally surprised to find blood on her fingers. Just what I need. She thought. A cracked skull. The ship jolted for what was like a fifth time and sent Jen sliding over to the opposite side once again. This time though Jen banged her head hard enough on the wall that she was rendered unconscious. * * * * * * Jen awoke a sometime later. She didn’t know how long she was out but at least the storm was over. She tried to move but any type of movement just made her whole body ache immensely. She could still hear Jack but it was just barely. This time it sounded like he was talking directly to someone though. * * * * * * Jack stood on the quarter deck with Elizabeth. He had been meaning to face her directly when he got on board but the storm had delayed him. Thankfully now the storm was over and he was able to get her alone. “So I hope you didn’t miss me too much.” Jack said smiling slyly sliding up next to her. “I somehow managed without you.” Elizabeth answered sarcastically averting her eyes. “I see, well then I guess that kiss between us meant nothing.” Jack said playing a game with Elizabeth’s mind, though she didn’t know it yet. “You’ve finally figured it out.” Elizabeth said finally looking at Jack. “See you say that and I still don’t believe you. You know you wanted to kiss me so why don’t you just admit it and stop playing these foolish games.” Jack said sliding closer to Elizabeth “How many times do I have to tell you Jack? I only kissed you so I could save Will not because I have any feelings for you or even wanted too for that matter.” Elizabeth said going back to avoiding Jack’s gaze. “Uh-huh. Keep telling yourself that, luv.” Jack whispered in Elizabeth’s ear.
Jack turned back to Elizabeth shaking his head. “I think the man has finally lost it.” He stated more to himself. Elizabeth giggled a little which surprised Jack enormously. “She laughs. I didn’t know you could laugh.” He said “I am human Jack. So I am aloud to laugh once in awhile.” “I just didn’t think you knew how. You’ve always struck me as the uptight kind of girl.” “Well Captain Sparrow you will find out very quickly that I’m not.” She said sashaying away. When Elizabeth replied a couple not so innocent thoughts sprang into Jack’s mind. A devilish grin appeared on his face as he followed after her. “I’m more than willing to find out now if you’re willing to follow me to my cabin.” Jack said wrapping his arm around Elizabeth and spinning her around.
Elizabeth opened her mouth as if she was going to say something, but closed it as if she had thought better of it. The look in her eye made Jack wonder if she was actually thinking about it. But before she could answer Gibbs appeared back on the main deck carrying Jen in his arms. “Looks like we have a stowaway, Captain.” Gibbs said completely oblivious of the situation with Jack and Elizabeth, Jack’s arm still tightly woven around Elizabeth’s waist. Elizabeth pulled free of Jack’s grip and walked over to Gibbs. “She can’t be more than 17 or 18.” Elizabeth said looking Jen up and down, taking in all the bruises and cuts that covered her. “18 to be exact.” Jen answered softly. She had her eyes partially open and she was slightly aware of her surroundings but all the pain was making her a little woozy. Jack tilted his head when he heard Jen speak. He stroked his chin and twisted one of his braids in his beard. He knew that voice from somewhere. He walked over to the girl and looked at her. At first the short hair and the cuts and bruises made Jen unrecognizable but Jack slowly figured out who she was. He shook his head at her and took her into his own arms. “Jen, you’re one d**n stubborn girl. One of these days it’s going to get you into to trouble.” He said carrying her towards his cabin. “Nothing I won’t be able to handle, Uncl…” Jack cut her off with a stern look. “It’s Jack to you while you’re on this ship, do you understand.” He whispered. Jen nodded, a little confused but she’d do what he asked at the moment anyways. She was causing a few problems. “Good girl. Now let’s go get you bandaged up.”
