All right, it has been about 18yrs since I have attempted story telling so forgive me. More of an ending for the Charmed Ones and a beginning for the Children.
This may take awhile. Please let me know what you think.
Present day-2006
The Halliwell Manor:
The battle has ended, all is quiet. The sisters sit in stunned silence wondering if this was it. The battle to end it all because it surely felt like it. There had been many fights before, hard and terrifying vanquishes. Losses and victories but nothing like this.
They are wounded and tired and very bewildered. Nothing could have prepared them for what they had just experienced. The total disbelief that the two they were trying to protect would turn into the Ultimate Source of Power that would need to be defeated before it conquered the world and destroyed the good and innocent that they claimed to want to nurture and defend.
Time seems to stop, indeed it does stop all around them as the Angel of Destiny enters the room.
She speaks:
It is over. You have defeated the Ultimate Power. You have once again fulfilled your joint Destiny. We weren't sure if you had the power and the conviction to accomplish this. The War is over and Good has once again triumphed over Evil.
Piper: Where is my husband?
Angel of Destiny: He will be returned, but first there are issues that need to be addressed.
Piper: No issues, just my husband. We conquered this great Evil Power for you now pay up.
Angel of Destiny: Piper, please relax. We will not reengage on our agreement. You will be reunited with Leo but we do have several things more important to discuss right now.
Phoebe: Our main driving thought through out this battle was for the safe return of our brother-in-law.
Paige: Yes not to mention actually surviving so that we may live to enjoy the loves of our lives.
Angel of Destiny: We understand you are upset, however there are somethings that we need to go over to settle this up.
Piper: You're right, how could you not know that this Ultimate Power was shacked up in our home? Where were you when they parked themselves in our yard and expected us to keep saving them just so that they could turn on us and try to destroy us. I should have vanquished her sorry butt months ago!
Angel of Destiny: We could not sense the danger or the evil from them. Their powers cloaked them or else we would have warned you.
Piper: You couldn't sense the Evil coming off of them but when Leo and I were trying to get married you guys sure had fine working sensors.
Angel of Destiny: Anyway we were not allowed to interfere at any rate. We do not have the power to defeat that kind of Evil and that is why it was left to you. For you and your sisters to overcome. You are the Charmed Ones and this was your Destiny.
Phoebe: Keep talking. What are the issues that you mentioned? We are kind of in a hurry to get on with our lives before the next Demons attack or the next Apocalypse occurs.
Angel of Destiny: And that is what I am here to talk to you about.
Paige: What the next Apocalypse? If you think that we are fighting another one just pretend we've called in sick. You people need to do some work of your own.
Angel of Destiny: No not the next Apocalypse. Hopefully that will be a long time coming. No, we would like to talk about the rest of your lives. Once again you have fulfilled your joint Destiny. We were not sure that you could do it and we certainly did not believe that it would happen twice in one lifetime but it has.
Piper: That's a great attitude. We defeat the Source of All Evil not once but what 4 times now and you are not sure if we have it in us to kick someone Else's A**. You faith in us is just awe inspiring.
Angel of Destiny: It wasn't our Faith in your powers as witches, it was our Faith in your powers as humans and just how much the human mind and heart is capable of handling.
Phoebe: There are never any guarantees but getting Leo back to his family was a great motivator.
Angel of Destiny: Well as I have said the battle is over and you have fulfilled your joint Destiny and we would like to offer you something as a gift to reward you for your sacrifices during this difficult time.
Piper: Difficult time? Try the last 8 years. That has been difficult. I just want my husband back! My children want their father back!
Angel of Destiny: Don't dismiss this gift out of hand. It has nothing to do with the return of Leo but of the life that you may lead with him.
Paige: What are you talking about? Are you saying that we may anticipate more Demons and further outside sources interfering in their life and ours?
Angel of Destiny: No we are offering a life without Demons.
Phoebe, Piper and Paige stare in shock and then burst out laughing.
Angel of Destiny: I don't see the humor in this offer.
Phoebe: You guys are telling us that you can make all of the Demon's disappear? We've been fighting them for 8 years and poof you can make them all go away?
Angel of Destiny: No, not exactly. We are willing to offer you a somewhat normal life.
Piper: Semi-normal?
Angel of Destiny: Well yes. You may live as mortals, without powers, without Demon's if you wish.
Paige: And what part of this is Semi-normal? And hey I thought that was a one time offer when the last Angel of Destiny dropped in.
Angel of Destiny: Once again we were unsure if you would fulfill this second destiny of yours.
Piper: Semi-Normal?
Angel of Destiny: You do have children don't you?
Piper: Well yes, I do.
Angel of Destiny: And Phoebe is destined to have at least one child correct?
Phoebe: So I've been told.
Angel of Destiny: Paige aren't you hoping to have children?
Paige: Sure, someday if we can get past all of this craziness and have an actual relationship with my husband.
Angel of Destiny: Well with magical children how can you hope to have a normal life? she says with a smile.
Piper: Is it possible to not be witches and still raise children with powers or would theirs be stripped as well. If not then every demon will come after them and we won't be able to protect them.
Phoebe: I won't put my child's life in danger like that.
Angel of Destiny: You would give up your active powers but your children would retain theirs. It will be up to you to guide them to use their powers for good, to protect the innocent and to keep magic from being exposed.
Phoebe: And the Demons?
Angel of Destiny: The children will be cloaked until it is their turn to fulfill their destiny and resume the Legacy of the Charmed Ones.
Paige: And when would that be determined?
Angel of Destiny: That is their destiny and their circumstances that will determine the how and the when.
Piper: Do we have to chose now?
Angel of Destiny: It is best to make your decision now so that you may begin your new destinies.
The girls walk away from the Angel of Destiny and talk amongst themselves.
Piper: I never thought that we would get this opportunity again. We might actually be able to live normal lives like we tried to after we vanquished Zankou and before this Ultimate Power crap started again. No more Elders, Avatars, Demons or Apocolypse's. No more worrying about the next source of all evil.
Phoebe: No more interrupted work, dates, lives except with normal family problems. No more turning into Demons or Banshees. No more worrying that Cole might come back.
Paige: No more voices in my head that don't belong to me. No more worrying about my husband being killed by a demon that is after me. No more orbing. That might stink a little.
The sisters grew silent thinking about the powers that they would be giving up but also remembering all that their powers and their legacy had cost them. Prue, Andy, their mother and grandmother, Chris from the future and Kyle. The chance to live a normal life with normal problems now far outweighed the loss of their powers.
Piper: We've decided.
Angel of Destiny: Unanimously?
Phoebe and Paige: Yes.
Angel of Destiny: It is done.
Piper:That's it? No flashing lights, no wind, no chimes?
Angel of Destiny: I'm afraid not.
Piper gestures at the grandfather clock, nothing happens.
Piper: huh, that's weird.
Paige closes her eyes and tries to Orb, nothing.
Paige: That's different; Hey no voices in my head.
Phoebe tries to levitate and is firmly grounded.
Phoebe:well it was nice to have back for a little while.
Angel of Destiny smiles
Piper: Hey now that we don't have our powers can we get one more tiny thing?
Angel of Destiny: What would that be?
Piper: The house cleaned so that it looks normal? It would be nice not to have to replace those windows for awhile.
In a swirl of lights the house magically rights itself and the girls clothes and wounds are healed.
Piper: Sure now with the lights.
Paige: How do we know this is the right decision?
Angel of Destiny: Life as you know makes no guarantees but seeing as this is a unique situation I have been given permission to allow you to see.
Piper: See?
Angel of Destiny: Into the future. Not by travel, only by sight. Would this interest you?
Paige,Phoebe and Piper Chorus: Yes
The Angel of Destiny leads them to the large mirror in the conservatory that in the battle had remained undamaged. And she begins to chant.
Across time and space give now the future a face, show us now those the sisters hold dear and make the vision of their decision clear.
Looking through the mirror scenes unfold showing the sisters with their families at birthday parties, picnics, school plays, growing older without the threat of demons entering at any second and the world ending at any moment. It was almost Utopia with choices.
All of a sudden they hear a clearing of the throat in the background.
Leo: Honey I'm home!
Piper and the girls turn around and you see Piper run towards Leo and give him a huge kiss.
The Angel of Destiny disappears with a tinkle of chimes and a swirl of wind and the sisters new destiny begins.
