A New Charmed Destiny

"Chris! Are you out of your mind? We have to go!" Melinda shrieked at her older brother

"She's right, if we don't get out of here now, we're going done with this place" Wyatt grabbed his siblings and orbed them out of the manner and onto the street infront of it. The three kids turned around and stared at the building that had been their home for so many yeas at it was slowly eated away by flames, with it, the bodies of their parents.

You see, earlier that day, a very large sum of demons appeared in the manor and began attacking Piper and Leo Halliwell. Their three kids, Wyatt - 18, Chris - 17 and Melinda - 15, wanted desperately to help them but had sworn to stay out of the way. The fighting went on for what seemed like hours, until the one moment that they would remember for the rest of their lives.

Leo was healing Piper, who had a nasty gash on her shoulder, when a darklighter appeared behind him. Before he could react, Leo was shot with 5 darklighter arrows, killing him instantly. Mel began to scream, but Chris quiclky clamped a hand over her mouth so that they wouldn't be seen watching from the stairs by the demons.

Next, a demon appeared before Piper carrying an athame, and before she could freeze him or blow him up, he drove it straight through her heart. This time Melinda pulled away from her brothers and jumped over the stair railing, landing in front of all the demons.

"Mel are you insane?" Chris yelled at her, seeing as she had only gotten her powers recently, but she didn't care. The demons began hurling fireballs at her, which she skilfully dodged and froze, as she attempted to blow them up. Wyatt looked at Chris, then shrugged, jumped over the railing and joined his sister, closly followed by their brother. Soon all of the demons had been destroyed, but the manor had been hit with so many fireballs tgat ut errupted into flames, which quiclky spread to the rest of the house.

They all watched in disbelief. Wyatt, who was still grasping his brother and sister, decided that they should leave the disaster zone, and orbed them off to their Aunt Phoebe's house. When they arrived, he quietly knocked on the door, which their Uncle Coop answered. He stared down at the kids, they were covered in cuts, dirt, ash and mild burn marks, all with tears in their eyes.

"Phoebe..." he called softly. Their cheery aunt walked up to the door , with a smile on her face, that quickly dropped into a frown, when she saw her nephews and niece.

"Oh my god! What happened? Where are Piper and Leo?" she asked, her eyes bugging out with concern. Melinda finally let loose and burst into tears at the mention of her parents. Her brothers quicklly pulled her into a tight hug, trying extremely hard not to cry themselves.

"What happened?" Phoebe repeated. Coop ushered them all into the living room.

"Well, um, Aunt Phoebe? I think you should get Aunt Page here before we say anything." Phoebe dropped in a chair, and nodded.

"Paige" she said softly into the air. Suddenly their perky red-headed aunt orbed in looking like she had just walked out of a spa.

"Hey Phebes!" she said, not noticing her nephews and niece.

"What's..." she turned around and saw them, "up"

"Oh my god, what happened to you guys?" she quietly sat in a chair across from her family.

Melinda glanced between her brothers, trying to figure out who would break the news. She decided it would be her, as she swalled stifly.

"Ph..Phoebe? Paige? M...m...mom and dad are...they're....rhey're...dead" she whispered the last word so quietly that almost no one could hear her.

"What? How? When?" Phoebe began asking questions a mile a minute, but Coop gently placed a hand on her shoulder and stopped her.

"Phoebe? These kids have obviously had a very rough day, maybe we should let them get cleaned up and rest. We can ask questions in the morning" Phoebe nodded.

"Do you guys wanna stay here? Or we can go back with you to the manor if you want." she suggested. But Wyatt shook his head,

"The manor's gone" he said weakly

"Burned to the ground" Chris added.

"Oh..." Phoebe and Paige whispered in unison.

"Well you guys are welcome to stay here. You can have your usual rooms, Sam's out at a sleepver tonight" Coop said, talking about his 7 year old daughter.

"Paige?" he asked. She nodded slowly,

"If you don't mind, I think I'll spend the night with you guys." Phoebe and Coop just nodded.

"Let's get you guys washed up" she said.

About a half an hour later, Mel, Wyatt, and Chris had all taken a shower, gotten their cuts cleaned and were in their rooms. Or at least everyone thought they were. Wyatt decided to see how Mel and Chris were doing, going first to Chris's room, he wasn't there. He checked on Mel who wasn't there either, he sighed and orbed off, knowing where they were. When he arrived, he saw to figures sitting on the edge of the golden gate bridge, staring off into space. He sat down inbetween them and placed his arms arounf their shoulders.

"We're gonna make it guys. We'll get through this."

This is going to be my last post for awhile, I'm gonna be gone for a week or so, but I promise when I get back I'll have some good stuff to add. Enjoy!



The three siblings sat on the end of the bridge and stared out at the city. In a matter of hours, Mel and Wyatt fell asleep. Chris was new at his orbing power and couldn't possibly orb all three of them back to their aunts house, and seeing as it was almost one in the morning, he didn't want to disturb his aunt. So he simply put a spell on the bridge so that they couldn't fall off and fell asleep as well.

In the morning they all woke up to see their aunt Paige staring over them with relief in her eyes.

"Oh my god, everyone was so worried about you. You fell asleep on top ofa bridge? What if you had fallen off!?" she had changed from worried to disciplinary in half a second.

"Don't worry Paige, I cast a spell so that that couldn't happen, watch" Chris sheilded his eyes from the son and walked over to the edge, he leaned up against it. Paige gasped, thinking he would fall off, but it appeared that he had been blocked by a wall.

"Alright, well let's get you guys home" They all orbed off, one at a time, Mel was the last to. She stared out over the city and took in a deep breath. She didn't know what to do anymore, her parents were dead, their house was gone, she had one thing on her mind....revenge. She orbed off, but not in the usual bright blue orbs, they were dark... they were evil.

Back at the house, no one saw Mel orb in darkly, that is, she thought no one did. Chris had been watching her, saw the orbs, and gasped. He reached for Wyatt and pulled him into his room.

"Chris, what the he..."

"Wyatt, there's something wrong with Mel." Chris cut his brother off with his words.

"What? How do you know?" Wyatt was gripping his brother's shoulders.

"Her orbs were dark, like a darklighter's orbs" Wyatt's face dropped.

"What? No! That's not possible." Wyatt wouldn't believe it, because dark orbs meant one thing and one thing only...evil.

"It's true! What are we going to do?" Chris said

"I'm sure it was just a one time thing, for now, we won't worry about it. But if her behavior starts to change, we'll tell Aunt Phoebe and Paige." Chris nodded in agreement.

When they walked out of the room, they saw Mel, wearing all black clothes. She scowled at them, then orbed off, in dark orbs.

"I call that an attitude change, come on, let's go" Chris grabbed Wyatt and ran through the house to the kitchen.

"Phoebe! Paige!" he yelled out. his aunts came rushing towards them.

"What, what happened? Where's the demon?" Phoebe asked, getting in a fighting stance. Wyatt laughed and placed a hand on Phoebe's shoulder.

"No, it's not a demon, it's Mel"

"She orbed.... dark orbs"

"What?" Phoebe and Paige asked in unision,

"And her clothes are all black" Wyatt added.

"Oh my god! Where is she?"

Mel arrived at her destination and glanced around.

"Which of you SCUM sent those demons after my parents?!" she yelled, glancing at all of the demons around her. They all looked surprised, but not scared. One of them spoke up,

"Why would we tell you? Your just a little kid." Mel turned sharply on her heel and, threw an energy ball at him.

"Wrong answer..."

Alright I'm finally back from camp and I have a new surge of ideas! So here we go!

The rest of the demons quickly shimmered away as they saw their friend be vanquished. Mel pressed her hands against her head, not quite sure what had just happened, but she quickly got over it and had a serious thirst to kill anything and anyone. She orbed out and began her search for demonic prey.

Phoebe began to pace around the kitchen as her nephews and sister tried to sense Melinda. Paige and Chris both reported that they couldn't find her. Wyatt opened his eyes,

"For a minute, I got a small hint of her, but then it disappeared. Im pretty sure she's in the underworld" he said grimmly. Paige grabbed all of their hands and orbed them 'down there'. They all sighed with partial relief when they saw that their first instinct had been right, and they saw Mel fighting a demon. She quickly threw an energy ball at him and he was engulfed in flame as he was vanquished.

"Mel...?" Phoebe asked softly. Melinda turned to look at her family. She had a small hint of compassion in her eyes, which each of them caught. Phoebe took a step forward.

"Melinda, honey, this isn't you. It's alright to be upset, and it's alright to be angry, but you need to come out of this." Mel looked at her with a confused look. Her eyes softened and her clothes and hair returend to normal. She stared down at the floor, with tears streaming down her cheek. Paige walked over to her and wrapped her arms around her.

"Let's get you back home" she suggested, "I think you could probably just get a little relaxation." Mel nodded and they all orbed away back to Phoebe's house.

They all arrived back at the house. Melinda volenteered to make them all lunch. She was a lot like her mother, she always loved to cook, it helped her get her mind off of things. As soon as she started, her little 7 year old cousin came into the room.

"Wyatt! Chris! Mel!" she shreiked as she ran in and hugged each one of them.

"Hey there Sammy Wammy!" Wyatt offered playfully. He scooped her up into a big hug. Coop walked into the kitchen with the rest of them.

"Yum! What smells good?" he asked walking over to Mel.

"Kraft Mac and Cheese" she said. He smiled. Melinda quickly finished up and they ate as they chatted.

"I'm gonna go take a nap... or something" Chris said after he cleared his bowl. He strode over to his room and closed the door behind him. He sat on his bed and fished through the bedside table. He found a picture on the bottom and pulled it out. It was one of his parents and him on his 5th birthday. He smiled sadly, there was a soft knock at his door and Wyatt walked in.

"You ok little bro?" he asked as he sat on the edge of the bed. Chris nodded slowly,

"What are we going to do now?" he asked looking at his brother. Wyatt shrugged,

"I don't know... but we'll make it"

Phoebe and Paige sat silently in the living room. Phoebe turned to Paige,

"They're gone... can you actually believe it? Our sister and Leo...are gone!" She said furiously. Paige just shook her head.

"You know, I've been thinking. I think we need to take them back to the manor." she admitted out of the blue. Her sister just looked at her confused.

"Why? Why would we make those kids go back there?" She asked furrowing her brow intensely.

"Well, the main reason we at least need to go back there is the book. Chances are it survived the fire, and as soon as people go snooping around the remains, they're going to start snooping around here. Also we need to see if any of their stuff survived." Paige concluded. Phoebe nodded solomnly,

"You're right. I'll go get them" Phoebe sat up and found them all lounging in Chris's room,

"Um guys? We're going to the manor...and you guys need to come, to see if any of your stuff survived" she stated rather bluntly. She expected at least one of them to start complaining but they all stood up.

"Alright, we were actually going to ask you if we could go ourselves" Mel said as she walked outside of the room. She was the first to orb out, closly followed by her brothers, and then her aunts.

They all ended up in the rubble and remains of the beautiful Victorian house. You could still see parts of rooms, stair cases and such, but the entire second floor had collapsed, including the attic. Chris noticed something thick and book like sticking out from under some debris. He rushed over to it and pulled it out.

"I found it" he said triumphantly holding up the Book. Everyone walked over to him as a gust of wind opened the book to a blank page. Chris was about to close it when writing began to appear on the page, it was Piper's handwriting.

My darling children. What happened was destiny,
there is nothing either of you, or anybody else can do to
change that. I ask you to not waste your life grieving, but to move
on with your destinies. I guarentee you that your father and I are
safe, happy, and will be watching over you for the rest of your lives.
Please, don't blame yourself, or anybody else for what happened, it
was merely fate. Everything happens for a reason. I believe that this
happened so that each of you may realize your true potential. Each
of your powers will advance, and you will all become extremely
powerful. That is what you are meant to do, and meant to become. Blessed Be. -Your Loving Mother

The writing on the page dried as they all read, and re-read the words. Chris sighed, and closed the book.

"She's right, we can't waste our lives grieving and feeling bad. We need to get back out there, and continue our destinies." Wyatt concluded. They all noddded.

"Oh my god" Mel said silently. She took a few steps over to an empty spot, where she picked up a picture, it was of the whole family. It was completely in tact, there wasn't a single burn mark on the frame, and the glass didn't have the smallest crack. She spotted 3 more photos in the same condition. One was of Piper, Phoebe and Paige, one was of Piper, Phoebe and Prue, and the last was of Piper and Leo. Melinda picked each of them up carefully, and brought them to her family. They all smiled and stared at them.

It was a new beginning, and they each knew it.

They were all amazing! I have tears in my eyes. I'm glad that there is a family as strong as theirs out there. I wonder if there is a true family that is that strong in the world of ours today.

That's great but it couldnt happen in the last show it showed Piper and Leo walking up the stairs an old couple in your story they couldnt be that old because their children are to young but it was a great story
