Cole worked hard for the source, he hated having to come in and sort out other demon's messes. The Charmed Ones just happened to be one of those messes, he wanted to kill them off as soon as possible.

Finding an in was the hard part, none of the Charmed Ones trusted men easily; especially with the number of demon attacks that were happening of late. He sensed where Piper and Phoebe were and shimmered into the alley next to the bookstore book store. Just as a demon threw a fireball, it hit Balthazor in the chest, seeing who he had hit the other demon flamed out.

Cole swore to himself, walking round the corner nobody noticed him. Walking into the shop he didn't see where they were, but a few women noticed him and smiled. He wasn't interested in them, just then Phoebe came out of an aisle carrying a book and calling for Piper.

"Hey Piper, I found this." passing the book to Piper they laughed at the title, 'How to get and keep a man'.

"Yeah, good one for Prue and you. Now for getting my restaurant up and running."

"Wouldn't it be better as a nightclub? I mean there's no waiting for food, you wont be stressing out if the chefs get it wrong."

Maybe this was his in, he didn't fancy Phoebe he'd set his eyes on Piper. He didn't know it yet he was about to meet Prue who set his heart on fire, or Paige who had a knack of finding the right words to soothe his temper.

"Excuse me." Cole leaned between Piper and Phoebe for a book, smiling at Piper who smiled back but turned to the book she was holding.

"Sorry, didn't help but notice. A recipe book?" Cole wanted to spend more time with Piper, and wanted to ask her some questions.

"Yeah, I wanted to try out some new recipes from Europe, nice book you have." Piper smiled as she took the book from his hands.

"Yeah, since I'm on my own I thought quick easy meals would do me best." Cole smiled even more.

"Sorry, I'm being rude. I'm Cole."

"I'm Phoebe." Phoebe didn't like how this was going , since Leo and Piper were married. She didn't like seeing Piper being chatted up, while she stood on the sidelines watching.

She wanted Cole and the sooner the better she thought to herself. But Cole wasn't interested in her, he was wanting to know more about Piper and her recipes.

"I'm Piper, please excuse us we need to get going." Piper smiled again and guided Phoebe toward the check out .

Cole put the book back, and picked up another one.

Walking up behind them he watched from a few feet away, it was then he noticed the ring on Piper's finger. He swore silently to himself, how could he have got the times so wrong? He was meant to come in before Piper had got married and wooed her away from Leo, what had gone wrong with the spell?

Finding himself behind the sisters he changed their books for his, "Hello again, twice in one shop. A coincidence or is it some thing more?"

"How about stalking?" Phoebe grinned like a school girl, it annoyed him and he wondered why he'd agreed in the orginal timeline to go after her. Prue had more spark and more sense, Piper made him mad but want to protect her from other demons, as for Phoebe she had been the most available.

"You'd have to arrest me and I'm a great ADA, one that knows the judge very well." Cole smiled at Piper, his face softened.

"Ok, Mr ADA. I mean Cole, we'll see you around." Phoebe put her hand under Piper's elbow and steered her towards the door. Watching them leave Cole picked up his books and walked out, back in the alleyway he shimmered back to his flat. His head in turmoil, a demon shimmered in behind him, "Well, the great balthazor, or should I say the has been?"

Turning slowly around, Cole changed into Balthazor and drew himself up to his full height, "Stop trying to intimidate me, your no match for me. I can turn invisible there is no way to vanquish me." with that he disappeared and hit Balthazor in the back, groaning in pain he shook the pain off.

"Leave the witches to me, I'll have all three dead and their bodies before the source within the week."

"You're an idiot if you think they will not find out who is behind the attacks and find a way of vanquishing you?"

Cole felt something was wrong, he'd lived this timeline before but things were out of their original order. What had gone wrong?

Prue smiled to herself, she'd got one over on Cole for once instead of the other way around; she'd teach him a lesson for trying to kill them all and trying to make Phoebe into their bed. Her love for him burned deeper than she ever felt possible, and for him to want to go back to that time line especially now she was pregnant with their child, was more than she could handle.

What was it in that time that compelled him to return after all this time? He had been good for so long, leaving Phoebe and them falling in love seemed impossible with their hatred for each other tangible. But here she was pregnant, a kick reminded her that she was meant to be resting a fist pushed against her stomach and she gently rubbed it murmuring that dad would be home soon.

Cole felt something push against his stomach and smiled his child, they were psychically connected. How he missed Prue but this was something the Elders wanted him to do and Leo had agreed to keep an eye on Prue, her sisters too had been keeping an eye on her. They were all fussing over their new niece, even Grams had come and visited more than usual thats when he knew that Prue had played around with the potions. But why?

"Whats up Balthazor? Got a bit of a stomach ache?"

"ENOUGH WORM!!!" flicking his hands the demon exploded, he'd had enough of this but he knew he was there for another reason. A council member shimmered in, "Balthazor, we need to talk. There are rumblings in the under world that you're not up for this job, that we should send in another demon. One that will not let his feelings get in the way of killing the Charmed Ones, as for Phoebe they feel she is having too much of an influence over you."

"How can that be? I have only just started working on them."

"You've had a year with them, and still no results. Years of information being wasted, we should've vanquished them by now instead they are still alive and vanquishing us."

A year, it couldn't have been he'd agreed to go in the same day as the orginal time what had Prue done?

Leo waited for the demon to leave, uncloaking "Are you ok Cole?"

"Leo? Which one are you?"

"Your time line Leo, I came back Prue told me what she'd done. There is no time to explain but the plan still stands, just"

"that things are out of order, I found that out just now. So why did she do it? She knows I love her and would never do anything to erase that, I just can't believe that she'd."

"It wasn't her, well not directly. Your daughter sensed something was up so decided to "help" out with the potions. Prue is trying to help balance what has happened, Grams has come in to help as well."

"A full on family reunion. So I just keep with the plan, find Grams ring and destroy it rather than let Phoebe put it down the drain. Coming back before Prue dies is a bit weird though, as Phoebe and I have to. You know the story."

"Yeah I do, which is why you were sent back to before Prue died. Something else you're meant to stop is someone else coming to change the past, so that the Charmed Ones die together."

"Whens this meant to happen?" Cole sat down heavily, he couldn't bear to lose Prue even if she hated him.

Leo sat next to him and explained about an upper level demon who wanted the honour of destroying the Charmed Ones and when better than when Prue died or even when Cole was meant to be vanquished by Phoebe the first time.

"No wonder things are speeding up a bit, this other demon must be interfering with things but not getting things right. Look after Prue, if I don't come back she's going to need her family to support her."

"You'll come back one way or another Cole, there's always a way of coming back." Leo smiled and orbed out back to Prue and her sisters who sat in Prue's lounge with hot drinks.

"What happened?"

"Your niece decided daddy needed a helping hand, so instead of putting in frogs eggs I ended up putting in crowsfoot."

"CROWSFOOT!!??" Piper shot up and ran into the kitchen, followed closely by Grams and their mother.

"What's wrong?" Prue hadn't thought of the consequences she had been so worried about what the time line meant, and if Cole would be tempted by Phoebe. She knew she was being silly, but her thoughts and feelings hadn't been the same since she found out she was pregnant.

"It's ok, nothing to worry about dear, but we need to try and sort out the effects of the crowsfoot."

"There is another explaination." Leo fully formed behind them, hugging Piper as she came around to meet her.

"What other explaination?" Grams asked

"Your daughter Prue,"

"My daughter, we just figured it out."

Piper and Leo smiled, "Remember Wyatt and what he could do inside the womb?"

"Yes, even though I wasn't there physically."

"You were there?" Piper looked at her sister, she hated these timeline problems it always made their heads hurt.

"Yeah, of course where else would I have been when my sister was giving birth. So Leo, you mean to say that we have another active baby who will protect their dad?"

Prue rubbed her stomach and smiled, Phoebe smiled at her sister "Hey, at least we know it runs in the family. As long as she doesn't astral as soon as she's born, can you imagine it."

Everyone laughed, Prue and Phoebe smiled at each other they had finally cleared the air just before Prue had found out she was pregnant. It had been a furious row about Phoebe's obsession with finding love that left them all vunerable, there had been that many demon attacks. Prue had finally snapped, Cole had gone out for the night with Leo so she had taken the chance to go and confront Phoebe.

A tall flame haired man walked in smiling at Phoebes back, winking at Prue who smiled and nudged her sister. Turning around her face light up, Dracas smiled and welcomed her with open arms. He had so much to learn about Phoebe and the wiccan ways, but he was glad he was able to learn and accepted as part of the family.

He'd met Prue during one of her photography assignments, one that had taken him on a personal discovery about himself. Then Phoebe had turned up on location, she had brought Prue a laptop for her birthday, a nice surprise for all three of them.

Prue smiled as she knew what he was thinking about, it had been the best days photography for that whole assignment her boss had given her more responsibilities and a pay rise. She'd gotten Phoebe to sit and talk with Dracas as he hadn't had his mind on anything that day, least of all the photography.

Phoebe smiled at Dracas again, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see Prue, my other girlfriend. I've got a contract for her if she wants it once little miss mischeif is born."

He patted Prue's stomach, "Ok what's this contract you know I am taking the first year to be with this one. So wont do any professional photography."

"It's ok Prue, nothing professional till after the years up. Then upto you if you want to sign this contract."

He passed the envelope over to Prue who opened it, squealing with delight as she read the first page. "You mean ME!?"

"Yeah you Prue."

Everyone started talking at once, until Grams whistled loudly to get their attention.

"Prue as nice as this is for you, we have more pressing matters like Cole and what is happening to him."

"Oh god, how could I forget. How can we bring him back?" Prue looked at her Grams with sad eyes.

"I better leave, you have alot on your plates." Dracas turned around.

"No, I need you to do some shopping. Here's a list of things we need from the herbalist, it's what we need to help Cole stay safe during his journey."
Grams passed him a slip of paper, he smiled it was a first for any man to be asked instead of interrogated by her.

"Are you ok Grams? Aren't you worried he's a demon or not going to blow him up?" Paige looked at Grams with a wry smile on her lips. Remembering what she had gone through with a few of her boyfriends, even Kyle had been put through a few tests before he was accepted.

"Oh I skipped a few things and decided to do a background check through his life time, a few wild moments but he truly does like Phoebe. There's something there, and I'm sure if anyone disagrees I'll have a nice chat with them. Now off you go and hurry as much as possible."

As Dracas walked out he smiled, he couldn't believe he'd been checked up on but relieved that Grams had decided not to try and stop him from seeing Phoebe. Opening up the list he was surprised she'd added her own message at the bottom, as he read it he felt light headed.

Grams smiled to herself, she had written the truth spell in a way he'd think it was just something to read. She wanted to be a hundred percent sure that he was who he said he was, as his past was the most normal she had seen in years. No magic, nothing to worry on the police front, but she just had to be sure he was right for Phoebe especially after Prue had put her reputation on the line.

"Now about Cole, what are we going to do to help him?"

"That's the easy part, I can go back and forth between timelines. Keep an eye on him, but there is one complication." Leo sighed heavily

"What complication Leo?" Paige looked at him, they all knew complications in timelines could ruin their timeline.

Before he could think of something else the whole truth was rolling out of Leo's mouth, everyone looked at each other. Paige shivered, then asked Phoebe if she had taken her earrings when she'd come over.

"Of course I did, they matched my outfit. UH Grams, whats going on? What have you done?"

"What do you mean what have i done?"

"GRAMS!" Piper groaned, "She's cast the truth spell again."

"What did you do that for?"

"I just wanted to make sure he was the one."

"The one what? If you had gone through his past then you'd know that we could work things out. Why can't you leave things alone Grams? It was nice getting to know each other, no pressure, no nothing but a nice start of a relationship. IT's only been 3mths since we started seeing each other, Prue knows him better than I do and if she likes him and thinks he'd be good for me then thats all I need."

Phoebe walked out of the kitchen, Prue followed with a drink as she reached the couch her waters broke.

Prue grabbed her stomach as a contraction wracked her body, Phoebe screamed and grabbed her.

"GRAMS! GRAMS!"

Everyone ran in, "Whats the screaming, Oh dear" Grams put her hands up to her face and then turned to Piper and Paige.

"You two I need hot water and towels, oh and blankets and dont forget the crystals."

Piper and Paige ran out of the lounge heading for the kitchen and upstairs cupboard for everything they needed, Paige called for the crystals and ran downstairs.

Piper put the kettle on to boil, when she felt faint "I can't faint now, not when Prue needs us the most." she grabbed the counter to stop her self from falling.

Paige walked in, "You ok Piper? You dont look so good."

"It's ok, I'm fine. Honest, take the water through and I'll bring the herbs."

Piper turned around so Paige wouldn't ask any more questions, grabbing the herbs she walked back to the lounge.

Prue screamed at each contraction, "I didn't think it was going to hurt this much. Where's Cole?"

"I don't know Prue, I'll send out a magical SOS if you like." Phoebe tried to smile as she watched Prue breathe through another contraction.

"They're coming faster now Prue, which is a good sign. What is it?"

Grams looked worriedly at Prue who was trying to sit up, helping to support her Grams helped her on to the floor.

"What are you doing?" Grams couldn't understand why Prue wanted to be on her hands and knees instead of her back.

"Because Grams it's easier for the baby to come out, now just make sure you're ready to take a hold of her."

Prue gritted her teeth as she pushed, with one push her baby girl was born. A thick mop of hair and dark eyes looked at everyone around her, and she began to wail.

Cole heard a cry and wondered who had made it, he felt something had changed as he watched Prue, Piper and Phoebe confront Shax for the first time.

Instead of waiting for Shax to attack, Cole took things into his own hands. "Time and matter that have changed, turn back so they remain the same."

It wasn't his best spell but he wanted to get back to Prue as quickly as possible. Everything around him changed again and he was standing in the attic facing Prue and Phoebe. He reached out a hand and got zapped, now he remembered where he was and congratulated himself for not taking up Phoebe's offer of spell writing.

He channelled out what the girls were saying as he'd been there before, instead he channelled his energies into whom ever it was that was standing near them.

It wasn't the demon the Triad had sent in before, this demon felt different. "Ladies may I interupt a moment?"

"NO!" Prue was forceful and Cole smiled.

"What are you grinning at?" he loved how her brows knitted together when she was angry.

"I just wanted to say in my defence, there is another demon beside you."

"Don't try and get out of this one."

"Prue will you stop it, how can Cole be the demon he's the ADA for crying out loud." Phoebe had been trying to get Prue to see sense for the last few days, but nothing she said or did was going to change her sisters mind.

"WHAT!!!" Phoebe screamed as she felt someone grab her from behind and something sharpe against her throat.

"PRUE!!"

Prue looked at her sister and jumped back, "What have you done?" she looked at Cole.

"Nothing, but I did warn you that someone was beside you. Now if you let me out I'll be on my way."

Prue took no notice of Cole and threw both the demon and Phoebe across the room, Cole smiled knowing how much Prue would be enjoying giving her sister a lesson.

They landed on an old couch, where Prue had left an old box of toys. As they landed Phoebe had managed to escape from the demons grasp, grabbing the fire extinguisher she blasted the demon.

Cole had never seen him before and knew this must be the demon from the future, grinning he watched the scene unfold.
He couldn't wait to be with Prue and their new baby, when a pain shot through his head. Grabbing his head he screamed, it also grabbed the girls attention but not before Prue put the last crystal in place.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Prue let him out, he's in pain can't you see that?"

"Yeah and if we let him out how do we know he wont inflict pain on us? Stop thinking with your hormones for once Phoebe."

Prue walked over to the book of shadows and started flicking through it, when it flicked to a futures spell. Ignoring it Prue went back to looking at the demons listed in the book, again the pages flicked to the futures spell.

Prue looked at Cole and didn't want to say the futures spell in front of him, so picking up one of the crystals that broke the cage that held him.

"Well thank you Prue, may I say it's a great defence system but it wont hold up in court."

"Just go will you. I need to clean up."

Smiling he walked out and was about to start another spell when he heard Phoebe calling him.
