Life after Death (Phoebe and Cole)
Rated: PG13
Summary: Phoebe still holds love for Cole in her heart and wants to find a way to end her pain. With a spell gone wrong she may or may not have found the answer she was wishing for...




Chapter One (Remember when)

Lying on the bed Phoebe was trying to hold back her tears. It had been a year since the seer took her child and she lost Cole for good due to some sisterly love on Paige’s part. Phoebe still had a good picture of her and Cole and she wished it was the real thing. “I never meant to loose you Cole, I loved you so much and I knew with some time you could be good, I know you wanted to be.” With tears falling from her eyes Phoebe decided to look in the Book of shadows to see if there was anything that may help her without using personal gain to do it. Turning the pages in the book she threw it to the ground. “Stupid book.” Looking up, “Why did you do this to me, what is it what I did that was so different from Piper and Leo?” “You let them get married and they are happy, don’t I deserve that too?” Suddenly the book opened to a spell that Phoebe had never seen before. The page stated: Use only in great need, once read the spell will disappear forever. The spell was called “Return of a missed love” Phoebe thought for a minuet and decided that Coles love was greater than any personal gain. She read the spell as follows:

Return the love that was once lost
Bring it back without cost
My happiness depends on this spell
Over a time I will be able to tell

Phoebe did not think the spell worked because nothing happened. Then she started to cry again the when the tears fell from her sad face onto the book she noticed that the spell was gone and an empty page was in its place. Two weeks had passed and Phoebe did not notice anything different. She did not tell her sisters what she had done because she was not sure how to just yet. She was feeling a bit sick and thought she had the flu. “Leo” she said. “What is it Phoebe?” “Leo, I think I’m sick, can you heal me please?” “You know that I can’t heal non demon illnesses Phoebe.” Just then Piper came into the room. “What’s wrong Phoebe?” “Nothing I just feel a little ill.” Leo had to orb out on a call and left the sisters to figure out what was wrong. “You have been getting sick for awhile Phoebe maybe you need to see a doctor.” “Piper, Phoebe where are you” Called Paige. “Upstairs” answered Piper. “We need to get Phoebe to the doctor she is still sick” “Will I will drive then.” Piper and Paige took Phoebe to the doctor.
After seeing the doctor the sisters waited in the waiting room. The doctor finally came out. “What’s wrong with me doctor?” “Nothing that can’t cant be fixed over the course of time.” “Will, what the hell does that mean” asked Paige. “Phoebe, you’re Pregnant.” To Be Continued…

Chapter Two (Prue)

Phoebe still in shock over the news goes up to bed to rest. Her mind had been on the go for quite some time and she needed a break. Piper and Paige went into the livingroom to talk things over. "I don't know what to think, Paige". "It was just 2 years ago when Prue died and now Cole is gone and Phoebe is pregnant, I don't know how but i know she does". Paige sat quitely and let Piper do all the talking. She had never met Prue and did not want to say something wrong. She did however meet Cole and thought that Phoebe was better off without him. How on earth did she get pregnant? Cole has been out of her life for over 6 months, and Phoebe has not seen anyone else since Cole. "You know Piper, I smell a Spell". Piper thought and came up with a plan. "I will go in the basement and get the scrapbook Phoebe was making of her and Cole, Mabye it will make her feel better and open the conversation so we can find out what the hell is going on around here".
Piper went to the basement to find the scrap book for Phoebe and she heard faint whisper of a voice that she did not recognize. The low toned, raspy voice of the stranger hypnotized her as she stood paralyzed and still, the voice continued slowly fading. As she stood there paralyzed she could feel something brush against her, the rough texture of something unseen sent a shiver down slowly down her spine . Suddenly there was a bang, darkness fell upon the room and a force pushed Piper to the floor. After regaining consciousness, piper felt her way up the cold, dark stairs of the basement one stair at a time, only to find that when she went up each step there was a strong force pushing her backwards and out of nowhere it sent her tumbling downwards to the bottom of the stairs. She shouted for help, thinking that either one of her sisters Phoebe or Paige will come to her rescue, but as soon as she yelled “Phoeb…”, she was cut off by a large bang and the sound of the basement door locking her in. Piper had a fear of being claustrophobic in small spaces, so she could never lock her bedroom door. She started to panic, she had heard voices like the one earlier, just once before at her Prue’s funeral, but the voice was different, it sounded like it was of a small girl, not of an angry raspy voice which sounded older, as if weathered by the rain. A single tear fell from her face as she remembered her older sister Prue, who had died two years ago, in fact today, was the anniversary of her beloved sisters death, and she had planned to go to the mausoleum, lay a dozen red roses by her name and just sit, like she had done many times before. Piper knew that she had to get out of this situation; she knew that she couldn’t stay in that darkened basement for the rest of her life. She knew that the only way to get out of this was for her to think outside the box and use her powers. ‘If I’m going to do this, the first thing I’m going to need is light’, Piper thought to herself. She lifted herself up on an old chair, which was lying tipped up with battle scars from the time when she couldn’t control her ability of molecular combustion when she first received the power many years ago. She felt her way around the cold, dark basement’s many shelves to find the lighter fluid that she had left there from the last summers barbecue, every year she would host one of these events, even if it was just for one day, she would feel like she was just leading a normal life again, since they found out they where witches many years ago. She poured the thin, almost transparent liquid onto the chair and stepped away from it. From the other side of the room she set the chair alight and almost at once after small flames started to appear she froze the fire and a dim orange light filled the room. Now she was able to see, she found some candles and some matches and laid out the candles in a small circle. As she lit each candle, a small wind blew them out again, it was no use, and the force that was trapping her in the room did not want her to escape its clutches. She has to think of something else, she couldn’t keep the candles lit long enough for her to say the spell to summon grams to help her. Piper looked around the room in desperation hoping to find something that could help her; she had almost lost hope when a small black box caught her eye from the other side of the room. ‘This has to work’, she thought to her self as she stepped over the unlit candles to retrieve the small box from its shelf. The box contained five white crystals, which they had used many times before to keep demons trapped inside. She stepped over the candles again, this time with the box in her arms. She stood in the middle of the circle and placed the crystals in a larger circle around the candles, as she placed the last crystal in the circle, white lines shot out from each of the crystal forming a cage in which she was safe. She lit each of the candles again and started to recite the spell, which she had used many times before to summon grams from the dead. Moments after she had recited these words:
“Hear these words,
hear my cry,
Spirit from the other side,
Come to me,
I summon thee,
cross now the great divide”,
a huge force threw her to the side of the protective circle and darkness fell upon her. As Piper lay unconscious, inside the cage like circle, the basement door flew open and Phoebe and Paige where standing at the top of the of the stairs leading towards the basement. As soon as they saw Piper they dashed to the bottom of the stairs. just as they reached her Paige noticed something falling from the ceiling it was two red roses, which was Prue’s favorite flower.
