Awww. This update is so sad. Made me wanna cry. I loved how you made Prue sound like Prue, & how she would of reacted if it was Phoebe who died in the show. This time, it's Piper who is doing the comforting. Awesome update.

Just in case you think WTH at the start of this part, I've linked the last line to the start of this one so you don't get too lost. Sorry this one is so short. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Fighting? Look where this year has taken us Piper and after everything we've done - we had to pay the ultimate price. If were supposed to be so powerful, how come we couldn’t save her? I mean, my god, don’t you understand? Phoebe died because of me, it doesn’t matter what you say, it was my fault. How could it be good to be witches if all it does is get the people we love killed?"
Piper was holding an atheme tightly in her hands, almost breaking down by Prue's emotional outburst - it hurt her to see her sister like this. "We could've of stopped Rodriguez, if we reset the time loop he would of had another chance...he might of killed us all!" Piper told her slowly approaching her older sister, shuffling her feet along the wooden attic floor. "It wasn't your fault, Phoebe knows that, I know that - but do you?" Piper asked taking her both her sisters hands. Prue bowed her head and whipped a tear from her cheek. "I just don't know if I can keep doing this anymore." Prue replied looking into Piper's cloudy brown eyes which were becoming overwhelmed with a cluster of tears.
"Neither do I - but that's tomorrows problem. Lets say goodbye." Piper said embracing her sister into a hug, kissing her head she looked out of the window across the tops of the houses and out onto the city beyond. "I just thank god that I didn't lose you too!" Piper muttered, Prue nodded her head slightly before pulling away. Sharing a small smile they walked out of the attic hand in hand.
The window blew open and hit the wall before rebounding off it, the wind exstinguesed the candles flickering flame leaving the attic in darkness. The pages of the Book of Shadows flipped before landing on the last spell Prue had cast - "To Call A Lost Witch". A familar whisper called out throughout the attic "The Power of Three" the female voice echoed before the window smashed shut.

Chapter Four
Perched on the stool in front of her dresser, combing through her long, silky brown hair with an old, silver brush - Piper stared, lost in her thoughts, deeply into the mirror. Orbs appeared behind her as Leo Wyatt materialized, finally dressed an black, freshly dry cleaned suit. "Piper?" Leo called to her softly, she didn't respond, she just continued brushing her hair. "Are you okay?" Leo asked, Piper closed her eyes, clenched her fists and took a sharp in take of breath as Leo placed his hand on her should. Yet it wasn't the presence of Leo's hand that bothered her, it was his painful words. "Okay? I've just lost my sister, how do you expect me to be okay!" Piper lay down her brush and turned to look at up at Leo's angelic face, her dark hazel eyes met with his shiny blue ones. They gazed for a moment before Leo looked away, he couldn't stand the pain his love was going through.
"I'm so sorry. If I - had I..." Leo stuttered not quite knowing what to say. "It's alright. It wasn't your fault - you tried but - but" Piper broke down in tears pulling Leo close, burrowing her head into his chest, he slowed knelt down to her and moved her head onto his shoulder. "Phoebe's been here nearly all my life. I don't know how to live without her. Why wouldn't they let you save her too?" Piper asked crying into Leo's fragrant jacket, it smelled just like him, she could smell the exact same cologne he wore when they met. "The Elders? They couldn't. They don't have that kind of power." Leo replied running his finger through her hair which flowed gracefully down her back.
"Why did they put us through so much only for it to end this way!" Piper muttered breathing more heavily then she ever has before, not being able to control her emotions which she had been trying to hold back, she had been trying to stay strong. "Maybe Prue's right - maybe we should just stop fighting!"
Outside Piper's door, listening in Prue stood wearing a burgundy cardigan and black trousers, not yet ready for her sisters funeral. Turning suddenly on her heels Prue marched down the stairs of the Manor only to be greeted by a knock at the door, she glanced around the room as memories can flooding back to her. It still seemed like yesterday. Walking over to the door she opened to see Andy in the doorway, she sighed before brushing past him to stroll down the hard, stone steps outside the Manor. "Prue?" Andy called following his solely lover. "Just leave it Andy, I don't need this right now!" Prue replied sternly taking the keys to her car out of her cardigan pocket. "Prue please - wait!" Andy shouted as he followed her as she opened the door to her black Mazda convertible before closing it shut as Andy approached her.
"Prue please just let me help - Prue?" Andy told her as he stood outside her car door looking in on her through the window, Prue looked down at the wheel of the car before starting the engine. Turning to the window Prue mouthed "I'm sorry" before backing up the car and driving speedily out of Prescott Street. Andy just stood in shock as he watched as Prue drove away.

Perched up on the rocks, looking out at the ocean, tears rolled down Prue's tear stained cheeks. "Why did you take her?" Prue screamed furiously as the waves crashed against the rocks and rippled up the shore damping the dirty sand. The misty Spring breeze whistled past the trees and blew into the oldest sisters face. "She wasn't meant to die - not that way!" Prue choked on her words, standing to her feet as screamed at the sky.
The ocean reminded her many things, this spot on the waters edge reminded her Phoebe.
With her arms out stretched, dressed in loose top and torn jeans finished off with a bright pink anorak, past Phoebe presented the sandcastle stood between her legs. "I hereby proclaim this power of sand Kingdom Phoebeville! Yay!" The waves splash on Past Prue who is sat on the lower rocks close to the water. Phoebe laughs as Prue pulls her legs close to her. "You know, I don’t get it." Past Prue announced looking out at the ocean, Phoebe simply furrows her brow as she brushes her short brown hair behind her ears.
"What don’t you get?" Phoebe questioned as Prue stood up slowly and then started to walk across the beach. "That you just spent an hour of your life building something that is just gonna be completely, completely destroyed and disappear in about five seconds flat." Prue grumbled shuffling her sandals across the sand as the hard wind blew through her hair. "Ahh, but Phoebeville will live forever in the hearts of the villagers who come to love it." Phoebe replied in sweet childish manner.
Snapping out of a day dream, Prue walked along the sand close to the water, the ocean washed up against the shore touching Prue's feet. Stumbling back she separated herself from the salty sea water for a moment before sighing and bravely standing in the cold trickles of water that floated above the sand.
This beach to the North of San Francisco reminded her many things. The water that was washing up on this exact shore reminded her of her mother, Patricia Halliwell.
A young Prudence Halliwell sat still at the back of the beach, watching as her younger sisters ran about the beach in the sunshine. Prue was about eight years, with short, dark brown hair - she was wearing a black skirt and black top, a top which was stitched with a thin white thread. Her grandmother Penny Halliwell stood metres in front on the beach, closely watching little Piper and Phoebe. They all also were wearing black attire.
Turning to the oldest sister, Penny cracked a small smile before strolling over to emotionless little Prue. "Prue dear, are you sure you don't want to come play with your sisters." Grams asked comfortingly kneeling down to Prue's level. "I'm sure." Prue replied in an almost monotone voice avoiding any eye contact with Penny. "It'll be okay you know, you and your sisters will be okay!" Grams told her slowly stroking Prue's silky hair. "I know." Prue mumbled leaning away from Gram's hand before wrapping her arms around her legs.
A misty black shadow has appeared behind Prue, it materializes into a tall, light haired man who was dressed in a long black gown. "Are you surely you really want me?" The man asked Prue, Prue turned suddenly. "Who are you?" Prue questioned as she backed away into the shallow water "If you can see me - you know who I am!" The man bellowed with little to no emotion in his voice, Prue waved her arm fiercly, nothing happened. Doing it again, the same results occured, the man simply smirked.
This was the Angel of Death.
"Come on, I don’t have all day. There are people waiting. You definitely don’t have all day. So what is it? I took your husband and you want him back? Brother? Your Mother?"
"Don’t talk about her, don’t talk about my mother." Prue spat. "That should’ve been an easy guess with them sad little girl eyes!" Death replied smuggly, this was only making Prue angry. "You have my sister and it’s my job to protect her. So what do you want from me? What do I have to do to get her back!" Prue asked, realising who the man in front of her was.
"There's nothing you can do. And until you learn to accept that, you'll keep missing the bigger picture!" Death replied, standing tall. Prue looked at him confused. "What bigger picture? I just want Phoebe back!" Prue shouted, pointing at him angrily. "I’ll show you." Death pauses. "Oh, don’t worry, it’s not your time. Well, not just yet anyway." Prue squints her eyes and grits her teeths - Death holds out her hand. Relectantly Prue takes it and they disappear.

Could things get any worse? Piper thought to herself as she walked out of the kitchen, clutching a cup of steaming hot coffee in her hands. Leo walked down the stairs and met his charge in the archway separating the dining room and foyer. "Are you ready to go?" Leo asked, glancing at his watch wrapped around his wrist. "I don't want to go." Piper sighed, Leo took her left hand. "You have to go, you'll regret it if you don't."
Andy opened the doors to the Manor. "Look who I found." Andy announced revealing a familiar face standing in the doorway. A grey haired, Victor Bennett smiled sadly as he walked into the Manor. "Dad!" Piper piped up, running over like a small child she embraced her father. "I'm so glad you got my call. I didn't know if you'd make it." Piper cried, weeping into her fathers dark black suit, accessoried with a long red tie. "This is my little girl Piper, I wouldn't miss this for the world. Plus, you and Prue need me." Victor replied, kissing her forehead.
Andy slowly met with Leo in the centre of the Foyer, he nodded to him politely as he loosened his tie. "We've got a problem!" Andy muttered to the angelic face to his right, Leo furrowed his eyebrow, slowly turning his head. "What do you mean?" Leo whispered, Andy shifted his head gesturing the whitelighter into another room. "It's Prue." Andy told him "She's gone AWOL!" Andy added.
Oh Great. Leo thought to himself. As if anything else could wrong. "I'll see if I can track her down, just don't tell Piper, she's got enough on her plate." Leo replied.
Andy rubs his eyes as he sighs deeply, covering his face. Blue and white lights started to appear over Leo. "Then what do I tell her..." Andy pauses as he opens his eyes to the magic in front of him, slightly taken back he takes a sharp in take of breath. Leo gives a small wave as he disappears into the lights, Andy looks away almost blinded by the beautiful, bright lights.

Sat in the corner of the living room, slouched in the arm chair, Victor empty eyes stared into space. Across the way, lazed back in the couch, Andy awkwardly looked back from the clock and then to Victor and then back to the clock once more. Doing this numerous times he sighed deeply, this brought back memories for him, memories that weren't so pleasant.
A young, dark haired Andrew Trudeau, sat with his legs pressed against his chest, on the floor in front of the over crowded couch. His mother, Reinette cried into the chest of her brother in law, Robin Trudeau. Robin's mother, Andy's grandmother Helene, sat staring out of the window, her face as white as sheet and her lifeless hair just blowing with the breeze that ran through the house. "I just can't believe he's gone!" Reinette mumbled as she sobbed into Francis's best dinner suit, it was all he had that was appropriate for the occasion and he wanted to look his best for his brother.
Andy started to whimper as his older brother, James, walked into the room. A mug of steaming hot chocolate was clasped in his hands. "It's okay little man, don't cry. Dad wouldn't want us to cry." James told him, kneeling down in front of Andy, he pulled his little brother close and brushed back his dark hair with his hand. "It'll be okay. I promise." James's soft yet masculine voice whispered, rocking his little brother from side to side. "Please, don't cry." James pleaded, he felt a small tear dribble down his own cheek but he had to stay strong, he was the man of the house now.
Victor turned his attention to ticking clock on the fire place, he watched as the big hand slowly maneuvered around the face. He always imagined he'd die with all three of his beautiful daughters around him, he may not have been there for them but he knew that they would pull through for him when it mattered. Never did he expect he would be burying his little princess.
A brown haired Victor sat in the middle of the living room of the Manor, legs open with little Piper between his legs. A five year old Prue lay against his arm and stared tiredly at the Book that Victor held in his hands. "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow that house down" He read in a gruff voice, Piper giggled as Victor blow into her long brown hair. Prue glanced up at her father and grinned.
Interrupting the blissful moment, the dancing flames of the fireplace and the sustained peacefulness of the home, Penelope Halliwell burst through the doors of the Manor. "It's a girl, she's a beautiful little girl!" Penny cried, jumping around cheerfully. Looking into the living room she saw Victor reading to his daughters, she turned her nose up and regained her composure.
A beaming Patricia Halliwell then hobbled through the door with her baby daughter cradled in her arms.
Victor jumped to his feet as both little Prue and Piper turned their heads to watch their mother enter the room. "It's a baby" Piper squealed. "Well done Piper, that's your baby sister." Victor smiled, brimming with pride. Penny however was less than amused to see Victor sitting in front of her fireplace again, after all that had happened and all that she had said to him.
"That's right, girls. Meet Phoebe Charlotte Halliwell, your baby sister!" Patty told them softly, Piper and Prue sat up as Patty knelt down to them. Victor sat back down with her and admired his little princess for the time. Piper opened her mouth in awe as her grandmother just watched the sweet occasion that was unfolding in front of her. Even with Victor's presence, she couldn't help but smile.
Breaking the solemn silence, Piper walked into the room in distress. "Where's Prue?"

Snapping out of their respective daydreams, Victor and Andy swung round to see a flustered Piper enter the room. Concentrating his attention on Piper's mouth, he watched as her lips spell out Prue's name. Sighing he stood up and adjusted his suit jacket. "I was hoping you weren't going to notice!" Andy replied avoiding the answer, as quite frankly, he didn't know anymore than she did. "Notice? This is my sister we're talking about!" Piper shouted "And you knew she was gone, well the hell is she?" She added throwing her arms about the room.
Victor stepped forward to comfort his daughter. "Calm down, Piper." Victor asked, reaching out to embrace his second daughter. "Don't tell me to calm down, today of all days she decides to do a disappearing act. What does she think she's up too!" Piper screamed, pushing away her father and storming back into the Foyer. Andy and Victor followed. Turning to face Andy, she gestured to him. "Well?" Piper inquired, worrying about the safety of sister. "I don't know, Leo went looking for her about half an hour ago." Andy told her, Piper's eyes filled up as she began to break down in tears. "Why would she do this, it's Phoebe's funeral today for god sakes. What the hell is she playing at!" Piper screamed, her eyes wondered to the double doors at the front of the Manor.
Casting her mind back to a little under a year ago, Piper remembered the day after the night before. Just after Phoebe cast the incantation that made them witches, the Charmed Ones:
"Believe me, everything will be different now." Prue told them, linking arms with both Piper and Phoebe. "Well, at least our lives won't be boring." Phoebe who was on her left replied jokingly. "But they'll never be the same." Prue said with a serious tone, Phoebe chuckled slightly before replying once more. "And this is a bad thing?" Prue rolled her eyes as they approached the front doors of the Manor. "No. But it could be a big problem." Prue replied, brushing off her bright red top. "Prue's right. What are we gonna do?" A nervous Piper asked, her voice almost shaking in fear. The whole episode with Jeremy had scared her and being a witch was simply daunting rather than exciting.
"What can't we do?" Phoebe laughed, Prue pulled her sisters tighter together. "We are gonna be careful, we're gonna be wise and we're gonna stick together." Prue announced, Phoebe smiled as Piper nodded in agreement.
Piper shook her head in despair, "Be careful she said, stick together she told us, what ever happened to that!?" Piper huffed, throwing her head into her hands. Victor walked over and slowly wrapped his arms around his daughter, she lent into his chest and cried. "What am I going to do Daddy?"
"I thought you didn't want us to use our magic." Phoebe asked sweetly, walking down the last few steps and onto the floor. "I didn't. Not as long as I still thought of you as my little girls. But you're obviously not anymore." Victor replied, he opened his arms to Phoebe, who ran into embrace him. "We're still you're little girls, we're just..." Piper began, walking over to her father, Prue quickly finished her sentence. "Witches."
"Yeah, witches. Well, obviously you don't need your old man to protect you from anything." Victor replied proudly, Phoebe looked up and smiled, Victor turned his head to Piper who did the same. Prue simply nodded in agreement.
"I don't know sweetie, I really don't know!" Victor told her sadly, stroking her head with the back of his hand, his ring shined brightly as it ran it's way down Piper's silky brown hair.

Chapter Five
The room was laced in a silky white, with beautiful white lilies placed around the room, they always were Phoebe's favourite. Piper wiped the streams of tears from her cheeks as she shuffled along the marble floor, with her father's sweaty palm clutched in hers. She shook violently as her eyes fell upon the white and gold coffin, sat at the bottom of the aisle, people watched as she sobbed uncontrollably, reluctantly moving towards the front of the spacious mausoleum. Victor looked down on his weary daughter, he just wished Patty was here, she always knew what to do, what to say...this place just reminded him of the small ceremony Patty had all them years ago. It almost felt like it was yesterday, he could still visualise his lifeless wife lying in that tight coffin. Like Phoebe's, it was a hand carved, heavenly white masterpiece with a golden trim running around the edges. After everything, even losing Patty: he didn't imagine he'd ever be burying his little princess or any of his special little girls for that matter. It was all to painful to think about and even with all these people watching him, he couldn't help cry. Andy walked a few inches behind the father and daughter, allowing them to have a little time together before the ceremony started. Constantly looking for Prue, Andy impatiently waited for Leo to return, he hoped for good news – for Piper's sake if anything. He sat down near Piper, leaving a space for Prue to sit near her younger sister, though deep down he knew she wouldn't show.
A blonde woman wearing a long white dressed walked out in front of the crowd, she looked down at Piper as she passed, sharing a small moment before moving to her position in the centre of the room, just behind the casket. The woman, a Wiccan Priestess stands before a blue silk covered altar table, which is adorned with a ceremonial chalice. A tied, silver cord lays before the chalice, three lit candles surround it, symbolizing birth, death, and the rebirth. To the unaware mourners, however, the service comes across a part traditional, part New Age. Darryl squeezes past a few seated individuals before taking a seat behind Andy, Darryl tapped his partner on the shoulder before sharing a brief, solemn and respectful smile. Sitting back into his seat he looks down at the white funeral program gripped in his hand. A triquetra is placed on the centre page above the name, read: "PHOEBE HALLIWELL, 1975-1999; "Beloved sister, daughter and friend."
“That which belongs to fellowship and love. That which belongs to the circle, remains with us. The wheel turns. As life is a day, so our sister has passed into night. Nothing is final, and we who remain behind know that one day, we will once again share the bread and wine with our sister. O' blessed spirit, we bid you farewell, for you await a new destiny.” The Priestess recited, reading from the small black book in her hand. With that, she unties the silver cord and gently lays it into the chalice. She blows out the candles. Both Piper and Victor cry uncontrollably not able to with hold their grief, Andy whips a small tear from his cheek as he looks into lap.
At the back of the room, a blue haze appears as Death steps out with Prue tightly holding his hand. Prue turns promptly letting out a diffused whimper as her fears get the better of her, glancing over her shoulder she locks her eyes onto the ivory coffin at the front of the mausoleum. “Why did you bring me here?” Prue cried in a hushed tone, no one even filches however as there presence goes unnoticed. “This is where you needed to be Prue, you did accept that your sister is gone and that's she not coming back. Everything happens for reason, I thought you already understood that?” Death replied, watching the mourners sat in front of him.
“No, see you don't understand. I can't let her go, I can't just move on – I meant to be this powerful witch, a Charmed One, protector of the innocent but if I can't even save or protect my own family then what's the point?” Prue shouts, forgetting that she is amongst a room full of people. No one stirs however, it appears as if no one can even see her. “Phoebe was destined to die saving Andy's life. It was the whole reason Rodriguez attacked and it was the reason that Andy went against his promise. It was her destiny to die that day, not his, yours or anyone else's. You need to start understanding that or you'll never understand what your truly meant for.”
Prue hesitates, lost for words. “And the Power of Three?” Prue questions. Death simply looks over to Piper, sat just in front of the Priestess. “Well?” Prue added. “That's not my domain unfortunately. I don't know any more than you do.” Death told her, not even batting an eye lid. Prue simply looked on confused and for the first time her body was fully corporeal. Death had let go of her hand and it matter of seconds, he was gone.

I know it's been a long time coming but after I lost like two and half chapters when my computer got virus infested, I've found it difficult going back and rewriting what I had done in the past. But here we are and if I'm honest, it is a little better than what I had originally written for this chapter. Anyway, without further ado, enjoy the above update and the rest of Chapter Five.

In the mausoleum mourners are queued up, waiting to pay their respects. Some are shaking hands, crying and muttering to one another while others stand in silence, waiting for their turn. Darryl goes over to Piper and hugs tightly before moving over to shake Andy's hand. “I need a word when you've got a moment.” Darryl told him, Andy nodded. “Yeah, that would probably be a good idea. Your still a little in the dark, I promise I'll explain when the time is the right.” Andy replied.
“No need. Your my partner Andy, I trust you. I'm not even sure I want to know what's going on.” Darryl added, he briefly shares a smile with his colleguge before moving along to shake Victor's hand.
Piper thanks another mourner, then turns to the last of the mourners, whom she recognizes -- Clay, who shifts over anxiously. “Clay?” Piper questions wondering why he is here, after all last time he was around, things didn't exactly go to plan. “I'm sorry for your loss, I really am. Phoebe was a good friend to me and I feel terrible, I just wish I was around to save her. But I guess it's nothing in comparison to how your feeling.” Clay replies, taking Piper's hand into his. Piper simply bows her head as tears drip from the tip of her nose. “If you need anything, anything at all. Don't hesitate to call.” Clay tells her before leaning in to lightly kiss her on the cheek.
“Thank you. I'll bare that in mind.” Piper says to him before pulling away and walking across the room to a small table, nearby to where the wiccan priestess had stood during the ceremony. She kneels down to look at a framed photograph of her baby sister, she wheezes deeply as more tears surface under her eye lids. More escapes from the corner of her eyes and rolls down her cheek. “I'm so sorry.” She mutters as she takes the frame into her hand. She gasps, falling backwards onto the floor as she is thrown into a mysterious vision.
Victor and Andy run over to help Piper as she comes into reality, Victor brushes the hair from her face as Piper looks at him in confusion. “Oh no. I know that look, your mother used to make that face when she got them vision things while she was carrying Phoebe.” Victor announces, Piper shakes her head angrily trying to suppress the magic that she could almost feel rushing around inside of her. “I don't understand, I don't get premonitions. That's Phoe...” Piper stutters, struggling to even say her sisters name. “Well maybe. Now she's gone. You do instead?” Andy queries, Piper tries to object but is unable to even string a sentence together. “It's a possibility, isn't it? After all you have the same power as your mother as Prue does with your Grams. Maybe when a witch dies, the power is passed to a loved one?” Victor suggests, Piper tries to hush them unsuccessfully.
Suddenly three sources of energy appear in the centre of the room, one of fire, the other of electricity and the last of smoke. They form into three vicious looking demons dressed in long black overalls. The one most central flies into action, shooting a string of electricity across the room. Piper dives on top of her father in protection as the bolt narrowly misses them. Andy stumbles backwards as a stream of fire dances towards him, he ducks and the flames spiral over the top of him hitting the wall behind him with a crash.
In state of panic, Piper throws out her hands to freeze the three antagonists, instead an explosion hits the chest of the centre demon causing him to combust into a million molecules. Piper looks down at her hands in shock, she clams up and the two demons decide to use this to their advantage. The demon on the right puts out his hand to materialize a fireball the other follows suit and summons a ball of smoky grey matter to his palm. “I wouldn't do that if I were you.” A voice calls out, the demons look over their shoulders to see Prue standing tall at the back of the room.
Prue thrusts her arms towards the demons throwing them across the room to meet the wall in front of her with a thud, Andy covers his head as the demons fall down either side of him. They demons snarl and teleport out. “Piper, are you okay?” Prue calls as walks precisely through the now terrorised mausoleum towards her shaken sister. “Piper?” She utters.
