“Don't even touch me” Piper spat as her sister reaches out to embrace her. Prue stumbles back and her jaw drops as the hateful power in Piper's voice hits her, how could her little sister be saying this to her? They were best friends and always had been, she had never seen this side of her sister before. “Piper?” Prue muttered.
“Don't Piper me. This is Phoebe's funeral for gods-sake, where the hell were you?” Piper screams, bolting a cold stare at Prue. The eldest Charmed One was speechless, she didn't know what to say. “I just needed some time, I didn't expect for Death to turn up.”
“Death” Victor queries.
“Yeah the Angel of Death.” Prue said turning to her father, he returns her gaze in disarray. “I know, I didn't believe he existed either. But he does and he took me back in time to see everything. Everything we'd lost. It was meant to help me understand why Phoebe had to die, I needed to see that it was her destiny. Like it's our destiny to keep fighting.” Prue told them passionately. For the first time since Phoebe's death, she understood the why...unlike her sister.
“Fighting? Prue don't you see where the fighting as got us. It killed Mum, Phoebe...who's next? You said it yourself, how is it good to be “Charmed” if it death constantly follows us where ever we go!”
“We need to keep fighting, it's our destiny. We're the Charmed Ones.” Prue announces.
“Charmed Ones?!” Piper stutters “We buried they're precious Charmed Ones when we buried our sister!” Piper howls and with that, she left. In a fit of rage she storms towards the open doors and onto the street outside, slamming the door shut behind her.
Blue and white orbs fall in front of the eldest sister as she drops her head in shame, torn between her sister and her destiny. How could she possibly make that kind of decision. The orbs disperse leaving the sisters whitelighter, Leo in their place. “Prue, thank god...oh” Leo pauses and looks around at the faces looking at him, Victor's eyes burn with anger as he sees the being standing in front of him. “A whitelighter!” Victor shouts, he steps up and grabs Leo by the scruff of the neck. “You leave my daughters alone you son of bitch!”
Leo trembles in fear as the grey haired man tightens his grip, Prue places her hand over her mouth as she watches her father intrude on the situation. “Dad please.” Prue cries.
“No Prudence, let me handle this.” Victor growls with fury.
“Victor, I don't think this is a good idea.” Andy interrupts trying to break up the situation unfolding before their eyes.
“No whitelighter gets anywhere near my daughters. They're scum, scum!”
“Stop it!” Prue screams allowing her emotions to once more spill out, releasing a wave of telekinesis which picks her father off the floor and sends him flying across the room. “Prue, are you okay?” Andy says comfortingly, moving over to settle his disturbed lover. “Just take me home.” Prue utters in defeat.

Sat the end of the Phoebe's bed, Piper sat sobbing with a shawl rapped around her shoulders and a small, teddy bear clutched in her hands against her chest. Rocking slowly back and forth, the youngest remaining Halliwell cried softly as her older sister walked into the room. “Piper.” Prue called lightly, moving carefully across the room. “Piper, please.” She pleaded, passing across her to. “Talk to me, please.” Prue asked, sitting down next to her on the end of the freshly made bed.
Piper shivered slightly, this always was the coldest room in the house. “I don't want to talk. It hurts to talk.” Piper replied dryly, trembling as the emotions rocked her from the inside causing her throat to become dry, voice to become raspy and causing a translucent liquid to drip from the end of her nose.
“I know, sweetie. And what I did today was unacceptable, I am so sorry. You shouldn't of had to of coped with all that.” Prue said compassionately, comfortingly wrapping her arm around Piper's shoulders and drawing her in close.
“I don't blame you and I shouldn't of shouted at you like that, things like that happen to us – I should of expected it!” Piper told her, taking the hand that sat on her sisters lap into her own, squeezing it tightly.
“It still doesn't excuse what I did, you have every right to be upset with me. I should have been there for you, you've been so strong over the last week and I've been useless. And I wasn't there when you needed me most, I don't think I can forgive myself for that.” Prue exclaimed, wallowing in her own self pity.
“Don't be like that, it happened, okay – lets not dwell on it any longer!” Piper told her bluntly.
Prue cracked a weak smile, which Piper returned with a subtle nod. They embraced in a tight and loving hug, Prue rubbed her sisters back warmly trying to massage away all their problems and heartache. They separated and Prue lightly kissed her sister on the forehead.
“Remember that time I shattered Phoebe's mug, the one we bought for her 6th birthday: Baby Sister of the Year!” Piper recalled, reminiscing other old memories. “She blamed you and I never owned up. She was so mad at you and I just stood back and let you take it.” Piper cried as more tears filled her eyes.
“She even threatened to rip my leather jacket. Instead she let her boyfriends cat pee on it!” Prue expressed, chuckling slightly.
“You knew?” Piper huffed as a smile spread across her face. Prue nodded. “I avoided you for weeks after that and you knew the truth all along. You could of told me!” Piper laughed, pushing her sister lightly.
“Some things are best left unsaid.” Prue replied.
“True. And I suppose she did give me this necklace to keep quiet!” Piper told her, twiddling the pendant that hung from the silver chain laced around her neck.
Prue smiled at her sister and for the first time since Rodriguez burst on the scene, she realised that maybe, just maybe – everything was going to be okay. Lightly whipping away the tears that were stained to her cheek, Piper removed the shawl from around her neck and lay it on her lap. “It's so pretty. But Pheebs always did have good taste.” Piper expressed, smoothly running her hands along the shimmering, silver material lay across her.
“Come on, I think it's about time I apologise to our father.” Prue said sincerely, Phoebe's death had made her realise how important family really was, how important getting along with your family really is and how not to waste an opportunity to 'I love you' just in case it's the last. “And you with Leo?” Prue questioned. Piper simply replied with a light yet definite nod.
