Hey guys this is a fan fic that i wrote around the holidays and takes place around the first Christmas after Prue's death. Phoebe is in college and Paige is a social worker. Hope you like it!
A Very Halliwell Christmas
It was late December, only a few days until Christmas. The Halliwell Manor was a house straight out of a Christmas card. The roof was decked with simple, but elegant white lights and the tall, majestic tree was glimpsed through the front windows. It was a very warm and welcoming house, but inside one of the occupants was distraught.
Piper Halliwell was a woman of about twenty-five, with long, brown hair and eyes to match. She was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and had on a purple knit sweater. She should have been in a joyous mood, but that wasn’t the case. She was home alone for at least two more hours because Phoebe was at the school finishing up her last class before the holiday break. She hadn’t seen Leo in at least a week. Paige was also out, at the office finishing up a few cases before the holidays.
The eldest Halliwell sister was in her room looking through some old photographs and recalling old, forgotten memories. She couldn’t believe all of the time that had passed between last year and now. It had almost been a year since Prue had died and this would be the first Christmas without her. Piper couldn’t help but fight the urge to hold back tears when she thought about her sister. She always loved Christmas and the three of them would always take a night to watch their favorite Christmas movies, just the three of them. Piper wanted so badly to just hear her sister’s voice, something to indicate that she was alright and that she was close by.
She remembered the time that they had all went up to Bodega Bay and spent a few days skiing a few Christmases ago. Prue had gotten the hang of it first and Piper and Phoebe had struggled behind, ending in several collisions. And the time when they had all just spent the whole week together doing nothing. That was what Piper had liked best, just being with her sisters.
All of these memories had brought a wave of emotions over Piper and she couldn’t control them anymore. She finally broke down and sobbed into her hands. Prue’s death was hardest on her. It was also hard on Phoebe, but she had come to terms with it a lot quicker that Piper had. Paige didn’t even know Prue, but Piper could tell that it bothered her as well.
After Piper had brought her emotions back into check, she heard something in the hall. When she went to see what it was, she noticed that a picture had fallen off of the wall and onto the ground. Not realizing that it was the picture of Prue, Phoebe, and herself a few days before Grams had been put into the hospital. The one were they were in front of the Manor. She placed it back on the wall and straightened it. Then, she went back into her room to put the pictures away. Phoebe and Paige would be home soon. When she put them away, she noticed that there was one remaining on her bed. It was a picture of Piper and Prue the night that P3 had opened. They were having a good time and both smiling.
Piper smiled, and heard the door close in the foyer.
“Piper, we’re home.” Phoebe and Paige called.
“I’ll be right there,” Piper placed the picture on her nightstand and went to leave the room. She stopped at the doorway and switched the light off.
“I love you, too, Prue. Merry Christmas.”
