Chapter 1 “WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF!”
“I did nothing wrong. Gideon killed one of my sons and was trying to murder the other. He deserved what he got and a hell of a lot more.”
“THAT WAS NOT UP TO YOU TO DECIDE. YOU ARE AN ELDER! ELDERS DO NOT KILL!!!”
“Yet, here you are, defending Gideon and what he did to my sons.”
“Your sons… SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN. IT WAS A MISTAKE TO ALLOW YOU AND THE HALLIWELL WITCH TO EVER BE TOGETHER IN THE FIRST PLACE!”
“You may feel that it was wrong of your predecessors to allow me and Piper to be together, but we are together. She is my wife and we now have two sons, and there is nothing you can do about that. So, you can accept it or not. I really don’t care, because there is nothing you can do to change it.”
“WHY… YOU… UNGREATFUL…” “SILENCE!!! BOTH OF YOU. This is getting us nowhere. We are losing sight of why we are here, and that is to decide the punishment for Leo for the premeditated murder of the Elder Gideon. “He killed Chris and was trying to murder Wyatt. He needed to be dealt with.”
“Leo, do you remember a couple years back, when the original Charmed Ones traveled into the future. They inhabited their future selves’ bodies, and all to learn a valuable lesson. We all exist to protect the innocent, not punish the guilty. ELDERS DO NOT PUNISH THE GUILTY!!! “I’m not an elder anymore.”
“That’s obvious. However, since you were one of us when you perpetrated this crime, we must deal with you accordingly. You will be locked in a cage in which magic cannot escape. You will stay in that cage for the next one hundred years. Since it was your family that drove you to this end, they will not be permitted to visit you. Your sentence is to begin immediately. Guards, remove him to the cells.”
“I told you,” begins Leo as he is engulfed in the electricity he used to kill Gideon once more. The guards grab him on both sides and immediately are engulfed with the electricity. Leo easily tosses them off of him, one to each side. He then throws out his hand at the Elder that just passed the judgment. The Elder is struck in the chest with the bolt of electricity. Leo raises his arm and the Elder begins to rise out of his chair, writhing in pain. After several minutes, Leo releases the Elder from the electricity and watches as he turns into dust, “no one is going to take me away from my family.”
Leo then orbs back to the Manor as the remaining Elders watch. However, they are shocked when they do not see the customary blue orbs as he leaves, but black.
Chapter 2
A moment later, Leo rematerialized in the Manor. He had a different way about him as he climbed the stairs. Sensing for where everyone was, he realized Wyatt had probably wandered off from the crowd while everyone else was with baby Christopher.
Wyatt was alone in his room playing with his toys when Leo walked in. Hearing somebody, Wyatt looks over his shoulder and sees his father standing in the doorway. Leo starts walking towards his son and watches as Wyatt brings up his shield.
“No, No buddy. You don’t have anything to worry about. It’s me. Its daddy and I’ll never let anything happen to you. Nobody is ever going to take you away from me again.”
Just then, Piper walks in and sees Leo standing there talking to Wyatt and she notices that Wyatt’s shield is up.
“What happened? Why is his shield up?”
“I don’t know,” replied Leo. “Maybe he senses evil.”
“No, this is not happening today. We just brought baby Chris home from the hospital.” Then speaking to no one in particular, “If there is any evil presence in this room, if you know what is good for you, you’ll leave now.” Then walking over to Wyatt, she says, “It’s OK honey. Let’s go see your brother.”
Wyatt lowers his shield and allows Piper to pick him up. Seeing this, Leo steps back and gives them plenty of room so as Wyatt won’t put his shield up again and raise any suspicions in Piper.
“Are you coming,” asks Piper?
“I’ll be there in a little bit.”
“Ok,” says Piper as she takes Wyatt out of the room. Behind her, Leo orbs out in a mass of black orbs

Chapter 3
Years later, an 18 year old Wyatt walks in the front door of the manor and into the Conservatory where he sees Leo sitting on the couch. “Hey pop. You’ll never guess what happened at school today. This other kid got in Chris’ face, and pushed him.”
“Really, did you teach him a lesson?”
“Absolutely, as you always say, ‘nobody messes with our family.”
“Did you make the lesson stick?”
“Sure did. The kid may walk again, but not for a long, long time.”
“That’s my boy. Did you let Chris get some shots in?”
“I let him handle most of it.”
“Good, good. Did your sister see you?”
“Melinda, no. she was still in class.”
“And you made sure she won’t hear anything about your and your brother’s involvement?”
“No. We morphed our appearances. She won’t be the wiser.”
“I’m proud of you. Where’s your brother?”
“He’s doing as you asked.”
“Perfect. Then if everything goes as planned, your aunts will be out of they way and we will have no one to try to tear us apart any more.”
“Dad, I have to say that it feels strange to be plotting the deaths of Aunt Paige and Aunt Phoebe. After all, they’re family and you are always saying how there is nothing more important than family.”
“Yes Wyatt. It is unfortunate that it has come to the point where your aunts will have to be removed. After all that they have meant to this family, both before and after we started thinking clearly, I wish there was a way around what has to be done. But they are only extended family, and they are getting too close to finding us out. We can’t have that. We have to destroy them before they come after us.”
“You’re right. Do you want me to go help Chris?”
“No, let’s let Chris handle this one alone. After all, he is always complaining about how he never gets to do anything.”
“Anything you say.”
Hey everybody. I'm sorry it has been so long since I've posted, but I have not had a good month. First my Great- Aunt died. Then not even two weeks later, my Uncle Jeff died. 10 days after that, my grandmother died. Throw in the fact that one of my brothers best friends was killed after the ATV he was driving hit a deer the day before me Uncle Jeff died, and I have had a hard month. But I have a nice long update for you. Warning. This update gets a little graphic
Chapter 4
Oldies night was an idea that Piper came up with a couple months back. In order to try to get a little older crowd into P3, she would hire old, washed up, has-beens that nobody had bothered listening to for the past ten or fifteen years, and book them to play in the club. Chris wasn’t sure, but he thought it was Brittney Spears tonight. He knew it was one of those old teeny-boppers.
But Chris didn’t care. He had very different reasons for being here. His Aunts suspected them of having turned evil, and he had to put a stop to their meddling. So, he continually sensed P3 for his mother’s presence, and as soon as she had left for a short time, he jumped at the opportunity.
He orbed into the office where Paige was doing the books and Phoebe was stocking the bar. When Chris orbed in, Paige looked up and said, “Hey Chris, What are you doing here?”
He never answered. His eyes just turned completely black and he held out his hand and squeezed it shut. As soon as Chris’s fist clenched, Paige grabbed her chest and held her breath. The harder Chris squeezed his hand shut, the more Paige’s heart hurt. Finally, Chris could feel as Paige’s heart exploded in her chest and her head flopped down on the desk.
Chris then walked over to admire his handy work and looked in Paige’s eyes. They were still opened, but they were completely filled with blood. He could see the drips of blood coming out of her eye sockets and dipping down onto the desk. “Sorry Aunt Paige, but it was necessary.”
While still admiring his handiwork, Phoebe walks into the office. “Paige, honey, are you alright. I heard a noise.”
It was then that she saw Paige with her nephew standing over her. Chris looked over his shoulder at Phoebe and she immediately noticed his eyes. “Chris, what have you done?”
“What I had to,” replied Chris while flinging his arm and telekinetically sending Phoebe flying. “You two were getting too close. You have to be stopped before the family is torn up.”
“But we are family,” said Phoebe with tears in her eyes as she started to get up.
“What you are is extended family that is trying to tear up my immediate family. That can’t be allowed.” Then with one final look at Phoebe, Chris sends a lightning bolt from his hand deep into Phoebe’s chest. The bolt of lightning gives Phoebe one last premonition. She sees someone open a car door and a lifeless Piper fall to the side and hang upside down, her hair hitting the pavement.
The premonition ends and Phoebe falls to the ground, never to move again. Chris, having pulled back the lightning bolt, turns to take one final look around and sees Piper standing in the doorway. Chris lets the color return to his eyes as he sees his mother, apparently in a state of shock.
“Mom, it had to be done, she turned evil. It has been her and Paige that have been causing all the demon attacks of late.”
Piper wasn’t buying it. She turned and ran back up the stairs, crying uncontrollably. Chris screamed, “MOM WAIT” as he ran after her. By the time Chris got outside, Piper was already in her SUV and driving by the entrance to P3. She pulls out of the parking lot with out looking or even slowing down and is t-boned by an oncoming tractor trailer truck.
“NOOOOOOO!!!” Then running out to the spot of the accident, Chris yells, “MOM, MOM. OH GOD, PLEASE BE OK!!!
By the time Chris got to the SUV Piper had been driving; the truck driver had backed up, dislodging the SUV from the front of the 18 wheeler. Looking in the window, he could see Piper, with her head down. She was not moving at all and Chris used all his strength to open the door. As the door slowly opens, Piper falls to the side and her lifeless body hangs upside down with her hair dragging the pavement.
Chris falls to his knees and begins crying hysterically. By this time, the truck driver had gotten out of the truck and was sitting on the steps used to get into the trucks cab.
Realizing the driver is there, Chris stands up and walks with a vengeful step toward him. As he is walking, an athame appears in his hand. He doesn’t even flinch as he plants the athame deep in the drivers gut. As soon as Chris is sure that the driver is dead, he walks back over to his mother and pulls her out of the SUV and lays her on the ground. He stays there for a couple more minutes before remembering that there is a spell in the Gremoir to resurrect the dead. With a new hope, he picks up Piper’s body and orbs it back to the Manor.

Chapter 5
In an instant, Chris is back in the Manor’s attic. Once there, he lies his mother on the ground. Then he walks over to the wall and, with a piece of chalk, draws the tri-quatra. Once finished, he waves his hand over the drawing and an opening appears in the wall where the tri-quatra was. As soon as the whole is there, he telekinetically sends the Book of Shadows flying into the hole, which then seals itself up.
With the book safely tucked away, he walks over to the wall on the opposite side of the room and makes another tri-quatra. However, this one is not made with chalk. This one is made with blood.
While walking to the other side of the room, the athame reappeared in his hand and he purposely sliced the blade across his left palm. Then dipping his finger into his blood, he made the drawing.
This window could only be opened with a spell telling why you are opening it, and a different spell was needed every time it was opened. Knowing that, he takes a step back to write one. In almost no time, he has one ready. With spell in hand, he walks over to the window and says:
What lies hidden that we do not see, Open your vault and Appear to me It is your contents I wish to use A Charmed One and Evil I wish to fuse.
With the spell finished, the window opens to reveal the Gremoir and nine black candles. First he takes the candles and places them in a circle around Pipers body. Then standing outside the circle near where Pipers head lay, his eyes turn jet black as he holds his hands out to his sides. He then raises his hands and as he does, flames 6’0” high roar out of all the candles. With the candles burning he then turns and looks at the Gremoir. With still black eyes, He holds out his hands in front of him and the Gremoir flies to him. He then walks to the altar and places the book down. Then, holding his hands over the Gremoir, it automatically opens to the Resurrect the Dead spell. Reading aloud, Chris then says;
Here in this place where death does lie, Return her Soul to where it would once reside. Her body Revived, renewed, restored, repaired. Consequences be dammed, I haven’t a care Piper Halliwell reborn, come whatever may be Return her now to where magic roams free.
Immediately after the spell is completed, the flames on the candles extinguish and Piper bolts upright. Slowly, she turns and faces Chris.
“Oh, mom. Thank god the spell worked. I’m so sorry. I can explain.”
“What is there to explain? You did what you had to do,” replied Piper as her eyes turned black and Chris smiled.

Chapter 6
Piper and Chris walk down the stairs and into the hallway. There they see Melinda walking in the door. Now 14, Melinda looks just like her mother did at that age, and until today, that fact always amazed Piper, but today was different. Today, she took it to mean that they could turn Melinda and finally complete the family transformation.
“Hi honey. How was school,” asked Piper?
“It was the same as always. Nothing special, why do you ask?”
“You’re my daughter. I care about you.”
Melinda couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but she sensed a different way about her mother, “Mom, are you alright? You seem… different… somehow.”
“I’m fine dear. I was in a little car accident today and I’m just a little shook up still.”
Only then did Melinda put two and two together and realized that she didn’t see her mothers SUV in the driveway. Realizing that an accident would certainly do it, she said, “Wow, are you alright?”
“I’m fine. Don’t worry. No lasting injuries.”
“Alright, are we still going to P3 tonight? I’ll understand if you don’t want to.”
“No, we’re still going. Why don’t you go get washed up and start on your homework. Dinner will be ready soon.”
Thinking nothing else of how strange her mother seemed, Melinda walked upstairs and Piper turned to Chris. “You had better go back and clean up that little mess you made. The club will open soon.”
With that, Chris orbs back to P3 to dispose of his Aunts bodies and Piper continues into the conservatory where she sees Wyatt and Leo still involved in their earlier conversation.
“Hey guys. How are you two doing?”
“Alright,” they both reply. Then Wyatt asks, “Did you three finish setting up for tonight?”
“Ya, I just sent Chris to clean up a little mess he made. It shouldn’t take him long.”
“Mess, what kind of mess,” asks a somewhat bewildered Leo. He had specifically told Chris not to make a mess because it would rise suspicions when his Aunts disappeared.
“Oh, you know. He has to dispose of my sisters bodies. I can’t have people coming into the club tonight and finding two dead people. It would be bad for business.”
Now utterly shocked, Wyatt says, “Your sister’s bodies. What do you mean your sisters bodies?”
“Oh come off of it you two. Like you don’t know. Chris told me everything while we were upstairs, right after he brought me back to life.”
Now really angry, Leo says, “What he killed you too. That wasn’t part of the plan.”
“No, Chris didn’t kill me. The car accident did,” she replied nonchalantly.
“What car accident,” asks Wyatt?
“The one I got into right after I saw him kill Phoebe.” Then seeing the anger in Leo’s eyes, she says, “Oh, don’t get so mad. It was for the best. I know that they had to die, and now I’m thinking much more clearly.” Then she turns her eyes jet black to magnify her point. “Now all we have to do is turn Melinda and that should be a piece of cake

Chapter 7
Melinda walked upstairs and into her room. Rather than starting on her homework as she was told, she switched on her radio. Then she just lay down on her bed and listened to her music.
She was really looking forward to going to P3 tonight. As she laid thinking about it, she thought to herself, “Who is performing tonight?” She couldn’t remember. Oh well. It didn’t change anything. She was still going to say the spell to give the singer uncontrollable hic-cups.
She was a disobedient child. She would constantly use her magic for personal gain, but only for little things. She would never cross the line and do anything really bad. Occasionally she felt bad about some of the things she did do, but she wouldn’t ever let her parents know that. She was only lashing out because her father favored her brothers. He hardly acted like she was alive most of the time so she did all she could to get his attention.
Privately, she was a lot like her mother in the respect that she wished that they could just lead normal lives, without magic. Most of the time, she felt that her powers were more of a burden than a blessing.
Although, she had to admit, she had some cool powers. She had the basic ability to orb, and Paige’s ability to call for objects, But, on a limited basis, she could speed time up or slow it down at will. She especially liked to slow it down, because it gave the impression that she was moving at incredible speeds just by acting normal. She also had a special knack for spells and potions.
As she lay there, lost in her thoughts, she heard the door open. Piper walks in and says, “I thought I told you to get started on your homework.”
“I’ll do it in study hall tomorrow.”
“No, you will do it now,” replies Piper. Looking at the radio, she then raises her hands and blows it up.”
“I didn’t like that song anyways,” says an indifferent Melinda.
“Then it all works out for the best. Start your homework now, or you won’t be going to P3 tonight.”
Melinda angrily obeys her mother and gets off the bed. Grabbing her book bag, she pulls out her homework and gets started. She was supposed to write a report on the Salem Witch Trials, so she decided that it would be a good idea to go up to the attic to look up some information on her ancestor Melinda Warren.
Deciding that it would be better to not be seen leaving her room, she orbs to the attic. She walks over to the Book of Shadows and goes to turn the page. Immediately upon touching the book, she is thrown backwards. “What the???”
Not understanding what just happened, she gets up and walks back over to the book and just looks at the page it is opened to. Revive the Dead. Was the headline at the top. Melinda remembered her mother saying that there was no spell in the Book of Shadows to Revive the Dead. Otherwise, they would have used it to bring her Aunt Prue back to life. And why would they need a spell like that anyways. Nobody they knew had died recently, or had they?
Her mother had just said she had been in a car accident, and it had to be pretty bad because the car wasn’t in the driveway. Knowing something is defiantly up; she calls for the book to close. It obeys and she walks over to it. She reads the cover and instead of saying Book of Shadows, it says Gremoir.
She says to herself over and over again, “Gremoir, Gremoir. Where do I know that name from?” Suddenly it comes to her. The Gremoir was a book of dark magic, comparable to the Book of Shadows. She vaguely remembered someone saying that the Gremoir was needed for a new Source to be coroneted. Then her mother and her Aunts had confiscated it and redeposited it into the middle of a mountain range after defeating the Source of All Evil once. But if that was true, why is it here now?
Her mind racing, she remembers that the page the book was opened to was a spell on reviving the dead. Glad that she knew where the police bring cars that are involved in accidents they can’t drive away from, Melinda orbs there to do a little investigating.
A moment later, she reappears in the Police Impound Lot. She looks around for a moment before spotting her mothers SUV in the corner of the lot. She stops dead in her tracks when she sees the damage. The drivers’ side door is caved in at least three feet and the airbag was deployed.
Gathering up some nerve, she walks right up to the SUV and looks in the window. The driver’s seat had become dislodged and was resting on its side. The seatbelt still hung along side, obvious that it hadn’t been used. Crying now, Melinda couldn’t see any way her mother could walk away from this accident alive.
Seeing the SUV in that kind of shape answered a lot of Melinda’s questions. The only problem is that now she has a lot more.

Chapter 8
Piper walks out of the kitchen and says, “Leo, could you go get Melinda? Supper is ready. Leo orbs up to Melinda’s room and notices that she is not there. He senses for her and feels that she is in the attic. He orbs to the attic and sees Melinda standing over the book for half a second before he watches her orb out.
Very suspicious, Leo walks over to where the book is sitting on the altar and sees that it is the Gremoir sitting there, not the Boor of shadows. “CHRIS!!!” yells Leo, his anger engulfing him.
A second later, Chris appears behind his father and says, “What’s up pop?”
In one fluid motion, Leo spins around and grabs Chris by the throat, and with one hand, he lifts him up by his neck. He quickly walks to the wall and slams Chris into it. “HOW COULD YOU BE SO CARELESS!!!”
Barely audible, Chris manages to say, “What?”
“YOU LEFT THE GREMOIR OUT!!! YOUR SISTER SAW IT!!! WHAT SPELL WAS IT OPENED UP TO!!!”
“The revival spell,” replied Chris on the verge of losing consciences. Leo releases Chris and he falls to the ground. He coughs for a full minute before he says in a raspy voice, “I’m sorry.”
“You’re sorry. Well sorry isn’t good enough. You have to fix this. You have to find her and use some memory dust on her. If she finds out about us like this, we are lost. Go. Now.”
“Of course, if you want me to go now, I will. But can I suggest an alternative first?”
“I’m listening.”
“What does she really know? She doesn’t know about us. I think that if we give her some time, say an hour, to get the wrong idea, she will rationalize everything and we can just play along with whatever she comes up with. She won’t want to believe the worst and her mind will come up with a perfectly logical explanation that she will accept.”
“It could work. You can try it, but be ready with memory dust just in case you screw this up too. Then, as an afterthought, he says, “And Chris, if you know what is good for you, you won’t screw this up.”
Hearing his fathers warning, Chris orbs back to finish disposing of his aunt’s bodies.

Chapter 9
Needing time to think, Melinda orbs herself into the torch on the Statue of Liberty. This is her favorite place in the whole world. She would come here every time life got to big to handle. The view was what did it for her. Everything always looked so peaceful from here that she could take a step back and pretend that she didn’t know anything about all the evil out there.
However, today was different. Up until today, the idea that an evil presence spread into her immediate family had never crossed her mind. But seeing the Gremoir on the Book of Shadows’ altar changed that.
Upon seeing her mothers SUV, she had immediately realized that someone had brought her mother back to life using the Gremoir. Even if nobody in her house was evil, The Gremoir was, and casting the Revive the Dead spell from it would be using dark magic for personal gain. Nothing good could come of that.
Although it seemed like a lifetime ago, it had been only twenty minutes since her mother blew up her radio. That was nothing new. Melinda went through radios faster than anyone she knew. Her mother would blow up on average two per month on her. She had given up on buying radios when she realized that the spell that causes the seen to become unseen repaired her radios to like new condition.
But then there was downstairs. Her mothers’ eyes had a certain coldness in them that had never been there before. Melinda had noticed it, but shook it off as normal when her mother had told her about her little accident.
If someone were with her when the accident occurred, they could have orbed her back to the manor, then went and got the Gremoir, and cast the spell. It was only natural to want to save the life of a loved one. But what if that natural act created something wholly unnatural?
Needing to talk to someone, she decides to summon her Grandma Patty. Whenever she needed someone to talk to, she would come here and summon Patty Melinda and Patty talked all the time. She was Melinda’s confidant. Melinda gathers the candles that she had stashed away in the Statue of Liberty’s torch a couple years ago and places them in a circle and lights them. Then standing back, she says;
Hear my words, Hear my cry. Spirit from the other side, Come to me, I summon Thee, Cross now the great divide.
To Melinda’s surprise, it is not Patty who forms in the center of the circle, but her Aunts. Panicking now, Melinda says, “Wha…What’s going on? You guys aren’t dead.”
“I’m afraid we are sweetie,” says Phoebe
“But how?”
Phoebe answers, “Honey, we don’t know how to tell you this, but you have to know, if only to protect yourself. It was Chris. He did this to us. He surprised us at P3 earlier today and killed us both.”
Then with hesitation in her voice, Paige says, “He’s hiding our bodies right now.”
Melinda is crying uncontrollably now. “But how? Why?”
“He’s turned evil. Him Wyatt, and Leo all have,” informs Paige
“But dad is an Elder. He has been since before Chris was born. And Chris and Wyatt are half Whitelighter. How could they all be evil?”
“Leo hasn’t been an elder for quite some time.” Replies Phoebe. “In fact he hasn’t been an Elder since the day that Chris was born. He turned evil on that day. Then over the years, he turned both Chris and Wyatt.”
“But why would dad turn to evil. He was the epitome of good?”
“That is a tough question,” replies Paige. “We never told any of you this, but about a year before Chris was born, his future self came from the future to warn us that someone was going to turn Wyatt evil. Then working together, we eventually found out that it was an Elder named Gideon that turned Wyatt by trying to kill him. Leo killed Gideon and had to stand before the rest of the Elders to have his punishment decided.”
Phoebe continues. “The judgment was that he was to spend a hundred years in a magic proof cell, cut off from his family. Not about to accept that, He killed the head Elder, and has been evil ever since.”
“But why didn’t you tell us before? If we had known, maybe we could have stopped it?”
“We were beginning to have an idea as to what went down. That is why Chris killed us. But our deaths brought instant understanding. All of a sudden we just knew everything that had happened,” informs Paige. “I think that everything that occurs to bring you to your end automatically becomes instantly clear so that you can understand it.”
“What about mom. I think she was killed in a car accident and someone brought her back to life using the Revive the Dead spell in the Gremoir.”
“You’re only half right dear. Chris did bring your mother back using the Gremoir, but she is not truly alive, nor is she truly dead. She has a sort of half-life now. Melinda, Every time a spell is cast for personal gain, there are consequences, and the consequence of that spell is that it turned your mother evil. Melinda, you have got to reverse that spell before she commits any act of true evil. Otherwise, her soul is lost forever.” Phoebe spoke slowly and clearly so that there was no chance that Melinda would not understand.
“But if I reverse the spell, my mother will die. I don’t know if I could do that to her. In effect, I’d be killing her.”
“No honey. Your mother is already dead. What you would be doing is saving her soul.”
After a moment to reflect, Melinda asks, “So, where do I find the reversal spell?”
“That’s the problem. There is none. You would have to come up with one,” informs Paige.
“But how am I going to do that. A spell like that is way out of my league?”
“Honey, with your understanding and talent for spells, I don’t think there is a better person to come up with one for this,” says Phoebe. “Just keep reminding yourself that you are doing it to save your mothers’ soul, and you should have no problems.”
Chapter 10
Melinda had stayed for another ten minutes talking with her aunts. They had explained the circumstances of her mothers’ accident and what Chris did to the truck driver. Then when Melinda finally did leave, she orbed back to the Manor.
It had been almost an hour now since she found the Gremoir and she was sitting quietly in the conservatory just thinking. She knew what had to be done, she just wasn’t sure she was going to be able to do it. With everything that it entailed, this would be the toughest thing she had ever had to do by far.
Still lost in her thoughts, she sees Chris orb in right in front of her and immediately asks, “Why did you do it?”
Right off the bat, Chris realizes how loaded that question is and pats his pocket. He feels the memory dust and is suddenly sure he is going to have to use it.
“How could you use dark magic to bring our mother back to life? What about the consequences?”
Chris, now relaxing a bit, says, “What was I supposed to do, just let her die when I knew could save her. You would have done the exact same thing.” He was relieved. Melinda hadn’t mentioned anything about her aunts and all things considered, if she knew about her aunts deaths, that would have been the first thing she would have brought up. Compared to murder, what is a little personal gain spell?
She had tears in her eyes when she said, “The spell aside, I talked to the police. They said that the truck driver that hit moms’ car was stabbed.” Melinda lowered her head and said, “They said the murder weapon was a ceremonial tool called an athame.” Then quickly stepping forward, she pulled Chris into a big hug.
Realizing that she was hurting badly, Chris hugged her back, holding her with one arm only. With the other hand, he was reaching into his pocket to grab a handful of memory dust when suddenly, he lets out a gasp as he feels something long and warm plunged into his side and then slowly removed.
Releasing his sister, he takes a step back and sees that she is holding an athame in her hand. It is covered in his blood. With a shocked expression on his face, he sees that she is now crying openly. “Why?”
“I’m so sorry Chris.” He was becoming blurred through her tears. “You crossed the line.”
Chris tried to orb to Leo, but couldn’t. “If you’re trying to orb, don’t bother. I put a spell on the athame to absorb all your powers. I also recreated Whitelighter poison from a darklighter arrow with a potion and soaked the blade in it. If I am right, you should be getting weaker as we speak. You’ll be dead in about a minute.”
Melinda was right. He was getting weaker with each passing second. He watches as Melinda walks back to the couch and sits down. He can see the tears flowing freely down her face as he says, “I love you.” Then with one last look, Melinda’s tear stained face is the last thing he sees as he slips into eternal darkness.
……………………………………………
Melinda’s aunts had also told her that Leo had seen her orb away from the Gremoir. So, when she got back to the manor, she concocted the potion and put the spell on the athame, hoping upon hope that she would not need to use it. However, Melinda had seen Chris slyly pat his pocket and immediately realized that he had come with memory dust ready for her.
It was then that she knew for certain that she had no choice. She couldn’t forget everything that she had just found out. She didn’t have time to find out the story all over again. She had to get to her mother before her soul was lost.
So she told Chris that the police told her about the truck drivers’ murder so she could lower her head and, using only her eyes, glance at the athame that she had placed under the couch pillow off to the side. When she said the word ‘athame’, the athame disappeared and then reappeared in her hand.
She hugged him, both for one last hug and to get closer so that he didn’t see the athame she was holding and she shoved it into his side. She was crying the whole time. It hurt her more to have to do that then it hurt Chris, but she was out of time and out of options. She had to find her mother and reverse the spell Chris had put on her.
When it is clear that Chris was dead, she walks over and kneels down next to him. Still crying, she says, “I’m sorry,” before orbing out of the manor with Chris in tow.

Chapter 11
When Melinda reappears, she and Chris are in the ally behind P3. She can hear the music playing inside and immediately thinks about the spell she was going to put on the singer. She had grown a lifetime since this afternoon and suddenly, a hic-cupping spell seemed pretty juvenile.
Getting her mind back on track, she pulls Chris over behind some boxes. When she is sure that he is out of sight, she gathers up the nerve to go inside. Stoning herself to what she had to do, she walks through the door and through the heavy crowd on the dance floor.
Not immediately seeing her mother, she makes her way to the bar and calls the bar tender Julie over.
“Hey Melinda. How are you doing?” asks Julie.
“Believe me I’ve been better. Have you seen my mother anywhere?”
“I thing she is in her office. She has been acting strange all day. She fired stage assembly guy Justin for banging his hammer too loudly. Hey you want a soda or something?”
“No thanks, I’ll see you later, ok.”
Once again making her way through the crowd, she goes to Pipers office. She opens the door and sees her mother sitting behind the desk. Piper glances over, and with her anger obvious, she says, “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOUNG LADY. YOUY MISSED SUPPER AND YOUR HOMEWORK ISN’T DONE. NOW YOU ORB YOUR LITTLE BUT BACK HOME AND FINISH IT. NOW!!!”
“There isn’t time. Chris has been attacked. He’s hurt bad.”
Suddenly very concerned, Piper asks, “Where is he?”
“In the ally. Lets orb, it’s quicker.” Melinda grabs her mothers’ hand. She can’t help but feel how cold her mothers hand is to the touch. She can feel that something is not quite right with her skin either. Quickly, she orbs them to the ally. She purposely lands about ten paces away from where Chris’s body lay. As they are facing Chris, Piper notices him right away and runs to him. Already resigned to what she has to do, Melinda pulls a potion out of her pocket the second Piper leaves her side
Piper gets to Chris and can plainly see that he is dead. Without turning around, Piper asks, in a voice that chilled Melinda to the bones, “Who did this.”
“Me,” was the unexpected response.
“Turning to her daughter, Piper has enough time to say, “What!!!” before she is hit with the power stripping potion Melinda had just thrown. A cloud quickly engulfs her, making her cough as she tries to fan away the smoke.
Crying all over again, she says, “I’m sorry mom. It’s for the best. I love you.” Then pulling out the spell, she says;
Reverse a spell dark magic cast Retrieve her soul, this breath her last Returned to death, this Halliwell will go Receive her soul, make it so.
It takes a second for Piper to realize what is happening. But by then it is too late. She runs for Melinda, a murderous rage in her eyes, but before she can get there, Melinda finishes the spell and Piper falls flat on her face. All the injuries from the accident return as Piper lays motionless.
Her legs suddenly unable to support her weight, Melinda falls to the ground, crying profusely. Suddenly, she hears her mothers’ voice say “Mel.” Mel was a name her mother only called her when they would have mother daughter moments, and over the last few years, those moments were few and far between. “Mel, look at me.”
Melinda looks up and sees the ghost of her mother floating about six feet off the ground. She is surrounded by a bright white light. “Mel. Thank you. You released me and for that I will be eternally grateful. You did the right thing.”
“Mom, I’m so sorry. I never wanted to…”
“I know sweetie. You did what you had to do. I would much rather be like this,” she waved he hands over her body, “then like that. But you still have to try and stop your father and brother. I know it is a lot to ask, but the two of them will cause insurmountably death and destruction in their wake. I know you can do it. I have to go now. I will be watching over you, protecting you. I promise. I love you.” With those words said, Piper vanishes from sight.

Chapter 12
Melinda, ranting out loud, says, “I may still be young, but I’m not stupid. I know that I don’t have any chance to go up against dad and Wyatt. I could always hang with Chris as far as powers go, but Wyatt has always been way more powerful. I need a plan.”
She orbs back to the Manors’ attic and notices that the Book of Shadows is back on the stand. She opens it and starts flipping through when she notices a couple new pages. One new page has a picture of Leo and the other has a picture of Wyatt.
Leo’s page says:
Leo Wyatt, former Whitelighter of The Charmed Ones, Former Elder, murdered the Elder Gideon after Gideon kidnapped his son Wyatt. In the process of the kidnapping, the cosmic balance between worlds was shifted threatening to destroy everything in its wake.
In order to restore the balance, a great act of evil had to be done in our world. Leo complied by using his powers to torture and kill Gideon
Then, while standing trial, he was sentenced to 100 years in a magic proof cell. Refusing to be separated from his family for the rest of their lives, he crossed the line from good to evil, killing another Elder before orbing out.
Over the years he has managed to turn both his sons evil. Possible vanquishes include Darklighter poison.
Wyatt’s page reads:
Wyatt Halliwell, The twice blessed child, son of The Charmed One’s Piper Halliwell and their Whitelighter, Leo Wyatt, was turned evil by his father.
Known to be one of, if not the, most powerful magical beings in the world, Wyatt poses a real threat to the cosmic balance.
In an alternate future, Wyatt turned evil after the Elder Gideon kidnapped him and constantly tried to find ways to kill him. In this alternate future, Wyatt reined supreme using fear as his biggest weapon.
Wyatt’s’ brother, Chris, in a successful attempt to change the future, came back in time to warn The Charmed Ones about future events.
However, this act of nobility had horrible consequences. It indirectly led to Leo Wyatt, Wyatt and Chris’s father, turning evil and eventually Chris and Wyatt both turning evil.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO UP AGAINST WYATT ALONE. HE IS TOO POWERFUL.
Possible vanquish includes Darklighter poison.
Somehow knowing that her mother and her aunts had added this page to the book from the other side, Melinda finishes reading and says, “Thanks guys.”
She had always known that she could not stand toe to toe with Wyatt when it came to magic and the information that they put in the book was information that she already had. However, one good thing resulted from the new entry. Melinda now had a plan.
Getting to work right away, Melinda starts writing a spell to go back in time. After a half hour, she was holding the spell in her hand. Not wanting to waste any time, Melinda reads the spell out loud In the past, an evil act done My father turned, a new fate begun To change this fate, I will travel back To stop at last, a heinous attack
In front of Melinda a vortex opens. She looks at it for a second before crossing her fingers and stepping through.

Chapter 13
In an instant, Melinda walks back out of the vortex. At first, she thinks that the spell didn’t work. Then she looks around and notices some subtle changes to the attic. Looking around, she wonders when she arrived. From what she can see, she can’t tell if everything has already happened or if it will happen in six month.
She barely has time to finish this thought when Leo and Paige orb into the attic. Their backs are to Melinda so she takes that opportunity to hide. Then, from behind some boxes, she watches as Leo sends, out of his hands, bolts of electricity, one after another. Each bolt is hitting a different target and destroying it.
After a moment, Paige stands up and walks from the bed post she was hiding behind to Leo and says, “Leo, stop it. What are you trying to do, kill us? This isn’t going to bring him back.”
Crying, Leo responds, “I promised him I’d get him home safely.”
“I know, but you can still save his future and you can still save Wyatt. We just have to hurry and you have to focus. Ok, look, you were saying something about the underworld, about looking for something there, what?”
“Barbus.”
“Barbus, what’s he got to do with this?”
“He’s working with Gideon. That’s how I think he got to Piper. That’s how I think he got to me.”
“Gideon teamed up with a demon for that.”
“No, an act of great evil in our world restores the balance. That’s what I think he was using Barbus for.”
“So they’re working together.” Then, all the pieces clicking together in her head, Paige says, “That means they must be in contact, right?”
“So,” asks Leo, slightly confused.
“So that means…, maybe that’s a way to find Gideon. The next time they try to contact each other, you can just … intercept it.”
With a look of understanding and new found hope, Leo morphs into Barbus. A moment later, he hears Gideon’s call and orbs out of the attic.
Paige is about to orb back to Phoebe when Melinda jumps out. “Aunt Paige, wait.” Startled, Paige quickly turns, ready for anything, well, almost anything.
In front of her, Paige sees a girl that couldn’t be a day over 15. She knows that she has never seen this girl before, but she looks oddly familiar. “Who are you?”
“Long story.”
“Cliff notes version.”
“I’m your niece, Melinda. Piper and Leo are my parents. I’m from the future. I came here to change that future.”
“Change it. What do you mean change it? Wyatt doesn’t still turn evil, does he?”
“It’s worse. It’s a whole lot worse.”
Over the next several minutes, Melinda explains everything she had just learned about her family and how the events that brought her there came to pass. When she finishes, Paige says, “Well, we have to let Leo vanquish Gideon. It’s the only way to restore the cosmic balance. But we have to stop him there. We can’t let him kill any more elders.”
“But how do we stop him?”
“We clip his wings. If we clip his wings, the elders won’t be able to summon him up there to stand trial. If he doesn’t stand trial, he won’t snap and he won’t turn evil. The only problem is how do we clip his wings and allow him to keep his powers.”
“Keep his powers? We can’t let him keep his powers. What if he still turns evil?”
“He has to keep his powers. Without them, he can’t pass them on to you and you used some of those powers to save yourself. No, he has to keep his powers. But don’t worry. It’s all in the wording. We’ll find a way to make sure he can’t use his powers for evil. When I’m done, he won’t even be able to hurt a fly.”
“Sounds like a plan. Where do we begin?”
“We need Phoebe’s help,” answers Paige
“Ok, you go get her, I’ll start on the spell.”
Melinda watches as her aunt orbs out before starting to writing a spell.

Chapter 14
When Paige orbs back to the hospital, she sees Phoebe sitting in the waiting area. Sitting down next to her, she tells Phoebe how Chris had died and faded away.
“Fade away,” asks Phoebe confused. “Wha, wha, What do you mean he just faded away?”
“In Leo’s arms after he died.”
“Ya, well, maybe he didn’t die. I mean maybe he was just going back.” Suggests Phoebe
Paige, with tears in her eyes, just shakes her head no.
Phoebe just sighs and says, “Oh God… poor Leo.”
Just then, Piper’s Doctor walks into the waiting area and removes his mask, revealing a smile.
“Dr. Roberts,” says Phoebe as she and Paige stand up and walk over to him. “How’s Piper?”
“Well, it depends on how you look at it I suppose,” says the Doctor cheerfully. “Me, I like to think she’s moving on to a better place.”
“What,” says Paige in shock?
“What is that supposed to mean,” asks Phoebe in disbelief?
“Well, I think you know what I mean. She’s hemorrhaging, ha. We can’t stop it. It’s everywhere,” replies the doctor with a sickening grin plastered to his face. “But lets all try to think positively, shall we?”
“No,” replies Phoebe forcefully. “You listen to me. You get you’re a** back in that room and you save my sister and her baby. You understand me!!!”
With the disturbing grin wiped off his face, Dr. Roberts says, “Security.”
Paige quickly turns her back to the doctor, forcing Phoebe to do the same. Quietly, she says, “Ok, they shoot people here, remember?”
“Grasping for a solution, Phoebe says, “Ah, we, we got to get Piper out of here. We got to get her to Leo.”
“We can’t. We don’t know where Leo is.”
Angrily, Phoebe replies, “We can’t just do nothing.”
For the first time, Paige looks up and sees two security guards walking towards them, their hands on their guns. All of a sudden, everything around them slows down. “What’s going on?”
Just as quickly as it slew down, time returned to normal. Still looking at the security guards, the sisters watch as they remove their hands from their guns and walk right by.
“Phoebe, its night,” says Paige.
After a moment, Phoebe says, “everything’s back to normal?” Paige nods and they turn to face the doctor once more.
Gone was his cheerful expression and chipper attitude. It is replaced by a grave demeanor. “I’ll do everything I can. I promise. Excuse me.”
Dr. Roberts walks away and Paige says, “Leo must have done something. Phoebe, that reminds me. We have to get back to the manor.”
“But what about Piper?”
“There’s no time.” Paige grabs Phoebe’s hand and orbs them back to the attic.

Chapter 15
Melinda is looking through the Book of Shadows when Paige and Phoebe orb in behind her. Quickly reacting, Phoebe yells, “DEMON!!!”
Melinda turns quickly and sees Phoebe about to hit her with a flying kick. A second later, Phoebe kicks Melinda in the chest, knocking her backwards.
“Phoebe, no. You don’t understand.”
“Understand? Understand what?”
Speaking before Paige can answer, Melinda says, “Hey what’s the deal here?”
“Oh, I’m sorry Melinda. I completely forgot to tell her.”
“I figured that out already. But that’s not what I am talking about. I saw her coming and tried to orb out of the way, but I couldn’t orb. Why?”
“Orb,” asks a confused Phoebe? “She can Orb? How can she orb?”
Ignoring Phoebe’s question, Paige answers Melinda. “Because you haven’t been born yet. So your powers haven’t been passed on yet.”
Turning to Phoebe, Melinda says, “Because I’m Pipers daughter. I came back from the future to stop dad from turning evil.”
“Wait, Leo is going to turn evil?”
“Then he’ll turn Wyatt and Chris,” answers Paige.
“How? When?”
“At some point in the very near future, he is going to kill an Elder that is going to try to imprison him for Gideon’s murder.”
Interrupting, Paige says, “Phoebe, I’ll fill you in later. Right now, we need to come up with a spell to clip Leo’s wings.”
“Already done,” says Melinda as she hands them a piece of paper.
Paige and Phoebe read the spell and Phoebe says, “You know, this is pretty good. You wrote this yourself?”
Melinda blushes a bit and says, “You have always said that I have a special talent for it.”
“Well, I’m right, or… I’m going to be right…or, whatever. The point is, this is really good. I think it could work.”
“Pheebs, we had better get back to the hospital and see how Piper is doing. Melinda, you wait here.
“But I want to come. Mom was just killed in my future and I want to see her again.”
“There will be plenty of time for you to see her later. Right now, we need you here. Just in case Leo comes home, you can say the spell. It may still work, even without your powers”
Melinda gives a nod of understanding and Paige grabs Phoebe’s hand, ready to orb.
“Melinda,” says Phoebe sheepishly, “I’m sorry I kicked you.”
“Don’t worry about it. Just, make sure she’s ok.”
Paige says, “We’ll be back soon,” before orbing Phoebe back to the hospital.
Once there, Phoebe says, “You know, the spell won’t work with her saying it.”
“I know. With everything she has had to go through today, I just didn’t want her to see her mother hemorrhaging.”
Phoebe just looks at Paige with a very somber look before looking up again and seeing Leo walk into the hospital lobby carrying Wyatt.

Chapter 16
Newly rescued, Wyatt is in his Aunt Phoebe’s arms. She is standing next to Paige looking into the hospital recovery room where Piper and Leo are. Leo is sitting on the edge of Pipers bed with a newly born Chris in his arms. Piper is gently stoking the head of a newly born Chris while talking to Leo.
“So, I see you got Wyatt back safely. Does that mean the Gideon is dead?”
“Leo just looks at Piper with a somewhat sorrowful look on his face.
“So, what happened?”
“Let’s just say that he won’t be bothering us anymore. Nobody is going to hurt him again, and I’ll never be kept away again.” As Leo says this, Piper notices a steely look of determination in his eyes.
But there is something else there too, a certain coldness that looks absolutely foreign, but she dismisses it quickly as she says, “Ok, so why don’t you heal me and we’ll get out of here.”
Leo does as he is asked and heals Piper before going to get her clothes. He returns in an instant and Piper gets out of bed and gets dressed.
As she is finishing putting on her shoes, Dr. Roberts walks in the room and says, “What are you doing? Why are you out of bed?”
“I’m checking myself out of the hospital.”
“But you just had a baby. You are in no condition to even be standing, let alone leave the hospital”
“Thanks for your concern doc,” says Piper while gently taking Chris from Leo, “but I have always been a quick healer.”
“As you doctor, I strongly, strongly suggest that you reconsider.”
It happens so quickly that Piper doesn’t even see it coming. Leo reaches into his pocket and grabs a handful of memory dust and tosses it into Doctor Robert’s face. Taken by surprise, Dr. Roberts takes a step back and blinks his eyes. Then with a look of confusion on his face, Dr. Roberts asks, what was I saying?”
“You just discharged my wife and our baby.”
“Right, well, good luck then,” says Dr. Roberts as he turns and makes a quick getaway.
A moment later. Piper opens the door to the recovery room and asks Leo, “What did you do that for. You know that you aren’t supposed to use the memory dust like that.”
Paige and Phoebe, who are standing outside the room, hear this and follow closely behind them. Then they hear Leo say, “You wanted to go and he was getting in the way of that. Like I said back in the room, I am not about to let anybody get in the way of this family.”
Hearing Leo say this, Phoebe and Paige hang back and Phoebe says, “Oh, this is bad. It’s starting to happen already. Come-on, We have to get back to the manor and come up with a plan."
Not wanting to leave without explanation, Paige and Phoebe catch up with Leo and Piper and they hear Leo say, “Don’t you remember what happened the last time I healed you in a hospital? The doctor became obsessed with finding out how you got better and, in the course of events, ended up going crazy. I just didn’t want that to happen again.”
Having to admit that Leo’s explanation is a good one, Paige and Phoebe are still leery about what they had just witnessed. So, catching up with Piper and Leo, Paige says, “Hey guys. We’re going to take Wyatt home and get Chris’s room ready for him.”
“Oh, alright,” says Piper. “We’ll be home in a bit. Do you think you could fix Wyatt something to eat too? He has had a long day and he has to be hungry.”
“Ya, no problem,” answers Phoebe before following Paige to the bathroom and orbing back to the manor.
Once there, Phoebe says, “I’m going to get Wyatt a sandwich and some milk. I’ll be upstairs in a couple minutes.”
“Alright, I’ll check on Melinda,” says Paige while watching Phoebe walk to the kitchen. She watches Phoebe walk through the door before orbing up to the attic.
Continuing into the kitchen, Phoebe sees Melinda concocting a potion. “Melinda, what are you doing,” asks Phoebe curiously?
But before Melinda can answer, Paige orbs into the kitchen and says, “Melinda’s gone. Shes not upstairs.”
“I’m right here Aunt Paige. I’m making a potion to go with the spell.”
“Why,” asks a confused Paige?
“Well, I was thinking about it while you were gone. With all the people in this house with Whitelighter blood in them, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give the spell a definite target. I mean, I’m probably pretty safe seeing as how I don’t have powers in this time to strip, but you, Wyatt and Christopher would be vulnerable if the spell backfired.”
“That’s good thinking. How old did you say you are,” asks Phoebe?
“Fourteen,” answers Melinda.
“Well you have an aptitude for magic like I have never seen,” says Phoebe.
Blushing slightly, Melinda says, “Well, I’ve paid attention, and you guys have taught me a lot.” Then looking at the potion, she says, “It’s done.” Then starting to bottle it up, she says, “Alright, I think we’re ready. Where’s dad?”
A look of wondering on her face, Phoebe says, “You know Paige, that’s a good question. Shouldn’t they be back yet?”
Looking worried, Paige says, “I’ll check back at the hospital.” Then Melinda and Phoebe watch as she orbs out.
.........................................
Back at the hospital, Paige appears unobserved back in the ladies room and walks out into the lobby. At the reception desk, she sees Piper holding Christopher in her arms, but Leo is nowhere in sight.
Paige walks up to her sister and steers her away from reception and asks, “Where’s Leo?”
“Oh, Paige, good. I was just about to call you. The Elders have summoned Leo up there.”
Paige looks at Piper for a moment before registering what she has just said. Then, with an air of urgency, she says, “its happening.” Then she grabs Pipers hand, and without bothering to hide first, she orbs the three of them back to the manor.
..................................
Back at the manor, Piper says, “Paige, what’s going on?”
“There’s no time. I’ll explain everything later.” Then turning to Phoebe, she says, “Its happening.”
Not needing further elaboration, Phoebe picks up a couple bottles of potion and walks hurriedly towards Paige and grabs her hand. Then realizing that they are going to leave without her, Melinda rushes over to her aunts and grabs hold of Phoebe an instant before they disappear.

Chapter 18
Up there, the three of them appear in a room that seemingly goes on forever. Looking down, they see that the floor looks to be nothing but clouds. All around them are gigantic pillar that are supporting an unseen ceiling. Between the pillars walk hundreds of Whitelighters wearing ceremonial robes made out of what looks to be a gold weave.
Walking forward, they step between two of the pillars and see a gigantic arch style door standing in front of them. The three of them stand there for a moment instinctively realizing that this is the door to the room that Leo is in.
Slowly, they all walk forward and up a set of marble stairs that are placed in front of the door. Looking up, they see that the door is thirty feet tall if it’s an inch. Now at the door Paige is reaching for the door’s handle when Melinda says, “This is too easy. If dad is behind these doors, shouldn’t someone be trying to stop us?”
No sooner did the those words leave her mouth when the door lets out a huge pulse of energy that is powerful enough to send all three of them flying down the twelve steps and landing hard on their backs. With heavy groans, they sit up in turn and Phoebe says, “I think we’re going to need the Power of Three to get in that room.”
“Ya,” says Paige, “but Piper will never help us go up against Leo.”
“She would if she knew what kind of danger he is in,” responds Phoebe.
“Aunt Paige, we don’t have a choice,” says Melinda with the beginnings of tears in her eyes.
With one look at her niece, Paige orbs back to the manor to get Piper.
**************************************
Back at the manor, Piper has just finished feeding Wyatt when Paige arrives.
“Piper, we need your help,” says Paige urgently before noticing the magical nanny sitting at the table with baby Christopher. “Oh good, she’s here. That will make things easier.”
“Of course she’s here. Leo is up there and you guys left so abruptly, I needed help.”
“Piper, later. We don’t have time right now. Leo is in trouble.”
“What’s wrong,” asks Piper with her nervousness carrying though her and into her voice.
“Leo is standing trial in the Elder tribunal for killing Gideon,” informs Paige. “We have to get up there and clip his wings before it is too late.”
“Clip his wings, why? They’ll never find him guilty after what Gideon tried to do to Wyatt.”
“They already have!!!” screams Paige. “We don’t have time to argue. We have to get to Leo now!!!”
Without another word, Piper rushes forward and grabs her sisters hand and, in an instant, are back up there with Phoebe and Melinda.
Seeing them just standing there, Piper asks “What are you guys waiting for? Let’s get in there.”
“No… Mom…,” says Melinda, “the door is protected by magic.”
“Mom, what do you mean mom? Who are you?”
“Focus,” says Phoebe. “Piper, we can’t get through the door.”
“Oh, is that all,” asks Piper before turning towards the door and trying to blow it up. However, the door just continues to stand there, not even scratched.
“No, I think that we’re going to need a Power of Three spell to get in there,” says Paige before tuning and seeing one half of the door opening on its own.
A bewildered Phoebe asks, “Did they think that was somebody knocking?” She looks around for a moment when she suddenly realizes how that door opened.
Wyatt is standing behind them staring intently at the door. Automatically, everyone else realizes that Wyatt had opened the door. Then, picking Wyatt up, Piper says, “That’s a good boy, trying to help save your daddy.” Then getting their minds back on the objective at hand, they walk forward and through the archway.
There, they see two big, burley Whitelighters trying to man handle Leo. However, they are not very successful. Leo, still engulfed in electricity, easily tosses the burley Whitelighters to either side of him. Unobstructed, Leo throws his hand out in front of him and sends a bolt of electricity from his palm. The Elder sitting in the center of the tribunal is hit directly in the chest and begins writhing in pain.
Leo raises his arm, lifting the Elder out of his seat in the process.

Leo raises his arm, lifting the Elder out of his seat in the process. “LEO!!! NO!!!” screams Piper, unable to believe what she is seeing.
Hearing Pipers voice, Leo turns his head towards Piper. Immediately, she notices that his eyes are filled with that same coldness that Piper had seen in the hospital room. Only this time it’s worse. In the Hospital room, the coldness seemed to be hovering just below his exterior. Here, it looked to be rooted deep.
However, seeing the love of his life has a mellowing effect on Leo. All at once, the love and warmth return to his eyes and he realizes what he is doing. Releasing the Elder from the attack, Leo falls to his knees and begins crying.
Running up behind Leo with the potion in her hand, Melinda hears him ask to no one in particular, “What have I done?” Melinda throws the potion at her fathers back and it shatters there.
Phoebe hands a copy of the spell to Piper and together, the three of them read aloud;
A Being of an Ancient Lore Your Wings are Clipped Forever More Freedom at Last you Hereby Gain But for Fending Off Evil, Your Powers Remain
As soon as the sisters finish the spell, a mass of blue orbs emerge from Leo. As they float out of Leo, they cross the room and enter a magical jar that is sitting on the bench next to the Elder Leo had attacked.
With the spell finished, Paige runs over to check on the Elder that Leo had attacked. He is weak, but alive. Looking at the Elder that is now standing next to her, she says, “What are you standing there for? Help him!!!”
The other Elder rushes over to the injured Elder and heals him as Paige rushes back to her sisters and Melinda. “Let’s get out of here quick.” Then, they all join hands and orb.

Chapter 19
Over the next several days, Melinda enjoyed spending a lot of time with her family. She gets to know each of them all over again and is amazed at just how different they all were back then from how she had always known them.
However, she enjoyed spending time with Leo the most. She had never felt as close to him as she had begun to feel over this last week. It was obvious to her that she had succeeded in saving her family from a horrible future. However, every now and then, in Leo’s eyes… No, that was just her imagination.
They had saved Leo together and he had been nothing but nice to her since. But now it was time to return home. The spell is ready and she is taking this time to say goodbye. She knows that as soon as she gets to back to the future, everything will be different. She will have her family back and be able to see them right away. However, they will have to wait years and years before they can see her as she is now.
But she knows that it is time to go so she says goodbye to each of them in turn before standing in the center of the attic. She takes one last look at her family as her mother and aunts join hands.
A time for everything And everything in its place Return what has been moved Through time and space
Immediately, Melinda is engulfed in a swirl of lights. As they spin around her faster and faster, she feels herself being pulled away to another time. She steals one last look at her family, and for a second, she could swear that Leo’s eyes are jet black. She tries to yell out, but it is too late. She has vanished.
