Hey everybody.
This is my second fan fic. Rest as-sured, I will still be continuing As Time Pas-ses By, but this idea popped into my head and I had to write it down.
A big shock though...this story is not Chris-centric! Gasp! Who would of thought me capable of writing something that wasn´t totally about Chris?! Even I suprise myself sometimes
This fic is, for now, mainly about Wyatt and a new girl...but rest as-sured, wherever Wyatt is, Chris is sure to follow. So he is in the fic
This story is set in the changed future, so basically Wyatt’s good. Wyatt (19) and Chris (17, senior at Magic School) are very well known in the magical community, especially Wyatt.
Hope you enjoy it and please review!
So let’s start the story:
It was a beautiful day in San Francisco. The first day back at school after the summer holiday was over and everyone was outside enjoying the weather. Everyone except Wyatt Halliwell. He sat at a table in the Magic School library, researching.
Researching what, you might ask. Well, the answer’s simple.
Demons.
The Kwyka demon to be precise. Chris had mentioned a new threat that might be worth looking into and since it was the kid’s first day as a senior, Wyatt had volunteered to do the research. He had, of course, first looked through the Book of Shadows, which had gotten quite thick over the last few decades, for information, but he had found none, so he had gone to the place that held the most magical information in the world. Magic School.
Wyatt sat at a table scanning the pages of the book in front of him for useful information. After half an hour of useless searching, he was starting to get bored.
Wyatt was the energetic type. He definitely didn’t like being cooped up inside researching, but his family’s safety meant the world to him, so he decided to put up with the boredom a little while longer.
He was interrupted by a timid voice beside him.
“Um, hi. Excuse me”
Wyatt turned around and saw a girl about Chris´ age standing there. She had light brown wavy hair that fell onto her shoulders and she had the most enchanting blue eyes.
“I’m new here and I was wondering if you could help me find the book I’m looking for, cuz I don’t even know where to start looking in a place as large as this,” she said rather nervously as she waved her hand across the room to emphasize its size.
“Yeah, sure,” he answered as he stood up, “Whatcha looking for?”
“Um,” she said as she looked down at a piece of paper that she was holding, “Great Magical Beings of the 21st Century.”
Wyatt walked over to one of the bookcases with the girl in tow. He knew almost all of Magic School and he definitely knew the library. He had spent a lot of time there in his life, either researching demons or working on school as-signments.
“This part of the library has the books from this century,” he explained, “Here” he said as he pulled the book off of the shelf and handed it to the girl. He then returned to the table and the girl took the seat opposite him.
“Where you from?” He asked her casually.
“Oh, I’m from New York. I just moved here last week.”
“So, what brings you to San Francisco?” Wyatt figured that she didn’t know very many people and he wanted to make her feel welcome in Magic School.
“Well, I’ve always wanted to live somewhere near the sea and I wanted to learn more about my magical roots in my final year at school, so since my mom was bored of New York, we moved here,” she said as she opened the book and started leafing through it, “Do you go to school here?” she asked him.
“No. I used to, though. I graduated the year before last. I’m just doing some research.”
“Oh”
“Maybe I could help you with that?” he was trying to be helpful and he could use a break from his boring research, “Whatcha looking for?”
The girl smiled kindly in response to his offer. He was kind of cute. “Um. I’m looking for information about Wyatt Halliwell.”
Wyatt was instantly on guard. Maybe this girl wasn’t what she seemed, “Why?”
“Well, we were given the as-signment to write a paper about a magical being and I chose to write about him.”
Wyatt relaxed a little but he couldn’t understand why on earth anybody would want to write a paper about him, “Why? I mean, there’re plenty of interesting people to write about. Why write about him?”
The girl was a little bit offended by this guy’s disapproval of her paper topic. It was her paper after all. But she didn’t want to lose a potential friend by snapping at him, so she justified her choice, “Since I’m part-witch I decided to write about someone like me, so when I was researching about powerful witches I came across Melinda Warren and her line,” she explained, “But, you know, everybody’s written about the legendary Charmed Ones, so I thought I’d write about him instead. Plus, I heard he used to go to school here, so I might just run into someone who knows him.”
“Oh,” Wyatt said. She obviously didn’t know who he was. She had explained why, but Wyatt still couldn’t understand why she hadn’t picked someone else. She could have chosen Chris, Mel or Pers.
“Have you met him?” She asked curiously.
“You could say that…” Wyatt answered hesitantly.
“Really?” she asked eagerly, “Wow. I mean, he’s like the most powerful witches to ever walk the planet. He’s Twice Blessed. His birth has been foretold in prophecies for centuries,” she said in awe. She clearly pictured Wyatt to be some guy in a black cape and with all the power in the world.
Usually Wyatt would have gotten annoyed at the way people seemed to talk about him. He wasn’t some famous actor, who had a bunch of screaming fans stalking him, but often people seemed to think that he was. He had gotten used to the attention over the years, but he still sometimes wished that he were normal. It happened for too often that he was the one who had to save the day. When there was some kind of terrible, unfixable situation, everybody always expected him to fix it. Of course, he did, but people often seemed to forget that he was just human too, and humans couldn’t always save the day, there was a limit. He knew that one day, he wouldn’t be able to fix it.
But as he watched this new girl ramble on, he was entranced by her beauty. He watched the way her lips moved as she talked and he noticed the way her hand made small circular motions as she explained.
Suddenly, Wyatt was snapped away from his thoughts by his mother’s voice in his head. She was calling him.
“Sorry,” he said, interrupting the girls rambling, “but I’ve got to go,” He stood up and put the book he had been looking in back onto a shelf near him, “It was nice meeting you….” He left the blank open for her to fill.
“Natalie” She said as a small smile appeared on her face.
“Natalie” he repeated as a smile appeared on his face as well, “I’ll see you around. I’m here quite often. If you need any help finding anything, just call.”
“Call?” she didn’t know the guy’s name, let alone his number, “How can I call you? I don’t even know your name.”
“I’m Wyatt… Wyatt Halliwell”
With a last smile he orbed out, leaving a very shocked and embarras-sed Natalie behind.

I´ve tried to get all the behinds out (man, does that sentence sound weird ), but if you spot any, tell me where they are so I can put a hyphan in.
Tell me what you think!
