I'm writing out a story, and it just flowed this way.
Let me know if it should be changed to "quote marks" type of writing instead.
========================================
The sun was setting over San Francisco on a perfect spring night. The peaceful sound of the approaching night soon was overtaken by the bickering voices of three women arguing about various things. These were the Halliwell sisters--normal on the surface, but magical within their beings.
Although it's difficult to hear what they are arguing about now, it could be assumed it has to do with either magic or their trip to the market for groceries. But now, their yapping is halted by the sight of a young girl sitting on their steps. Phoebe--the middle of the sisters--is the first to notice the new girl.
Phoebe: Oh, hello! I bet we sounded a bit weird huh?
Girl: (In a dejected tone) Yeah. I guess so.
At this point, Phoebe's two sisters continue into their house while Phoebe stays outside and talks to the newcomer
Phoebe: My name is Phoebe Halliwell. Are you new around here?
Girl: Yeah. My family moved here from a long distance. We moved into the home across the street.
Phoebe: I see that. Still a bunch of boxes outside, eh?
Girl: Yeah. I'm on a voluntary break from unpacking.
Phoebe (giggling) Nothing like walking out on a job, huh?
Girl: Well, I figure my brother can do some work as well. It's his turn anyway.
Phoebe: What's your brother's name? What's your name?!
Girl: My name is Amy and my brother is Joshua. Don't call him "Josh" he hates that!
Phoebe: Right! I'll make a note of that. So where exactly did you guys move from?
Amy: We came from down South
Phoebe: Oh, you mean like Florida or Georgia?
Amy: No. much further down south than that...
It's at this time Amy hears her family calling for some extra help. She goes back inside her home to help and leaves Phoebe to go back to bickering with her sisters. Paige--the youngest Halliwell--wants the inside scoop on the girl from outside.
Paige: So what's the story with the tragic waif from outside?
Phoebe: Would you stop with the drama? She's not a waif. She has a family right across the street. They're new in the area. She seems nice to me.
Paige: Yeah, yeah, yeah. They always seem "nice" until they come back and bite you in the...
Here, the sisters hear an explosion coming from Amy's house. As they race to the door to find what happened, they are stunned to see the family dancing around the front yard almost in a celebration mood. From inside the doorway, a young boy can be seen. This is Amy's brother, and he says
Joshua: I won't let this happen
Paige: See! I told you. You probably have teeth marks in your butt right now.
