hey everybody! what's up? hope that everyone is doing great. having fun and chillin. anyways, here's my latest installment to my season. hope you enjoy!
Bad Moon Rising. Sequel to: Posession ********** Chapter One
“The werewolf is one of the greatest legends of all times aside from the overly exploited legend of Count Dracula,” Professor Arden said as he paced the front of the lecture hall. “The legend originated in Germany around 1571 when a small village, Cologne, caught what the villagers thought was the wolf that had slain a few people and terrified their farms. Instead the town’s people found a man named Peter Stubbe dressed up as a wolf. Now Peter, well, the town’s people didn’t know what to think of this, was hung on the torcher wheel in the center of the village where he confessed to 13 murders, including that of his son. Thus the legend of the werewolf began.” Zoey raised her hand. “Yes Ms. Aguilar?”
“Actually, the myth of the werewolf was also mentioned was mentioned in Greek Mythology. Zeus decided to come down to earth and hunt as a wolf. He came across King Lycaon who invited him to dinner, during which, he tired poisoning Zeus by serving him human flesh. After learning of what Lycaon was up to Zeus punished him by turning Lycaon into a wolf. That’s where the word lycanthrope originated.”
Professor Arden nodded. “Ms. Aguilar that is correct. Thank you for clarifying that.” He pointed to a young man who sat opposite of Zoey in the large ampatheater like room. He was around 19 years in age and very pale. He had medium brown colored hair and icy deep blue eyes. His facial features were strong despite the fact that he seemed to be lacking both food and sleep. Aside from this he was a fairly attractive young man. “Mr. Woods?”
“Actually, the word lycanthrope refers to the mental illness in which one believes they are a wolf.”
“Mr. Woods does bring up a good point. Psychologists have used that to determine the illness in their patients.”
“I agree with that. This is also why I am skeptical of the whole legend of a werewolf. Peter Stubbe was a lycanthrope. He paraded around town dressed as a wolf and killed innocent people,” Zoey said.
“Maybe but that still doesn’t rule out the possibility that this legend might be true,” the young man countered. “True but case studies have also shown that majority of werewolf cases reported are actually mentally ill people acting in a horrific manor. It makes one think that the type of werewolves we read about in books and see in the movies, might not actually exist in reality.”
“The same could be said for other supernatural creatures. Take witches and magic for example: we don’t know that they exist. Are there little witches that run off to Hogwarts or wave wands?”
“Witches differ from werewolves though.”
“Really? Besides flying on broom sticks and potion making, how do they differ?”
“I would just like to say that that is a stupid stereo type that witches have to fight to prove-”
“How do you know? Are you saying that you’re a witch?” the young man asked. All heads turned her way. “No,” she lied. “But to be honest, I do practice Wicca even though it is not witchcraft.”
“And I suppose you brew potions and cast spells too?” People laughed.
“I don’t see how that is relevant to the topic at hand,” Zoey said trying to keep from losing her patience. “So cool your jets for a while. Now back to what I was saying earlier. It’s hard to believe that the werewolf does exist just like it’s hard for others, such as yourself, to believe in witches.”
“Alright and we’ll end on that note,” Professor Arden said. “Remember that your exam is this Friday so remind the slackers who didn’t show up today. Good argument; shows that people actually pay attention in this class.”
“Hey good argument Zoey,” a tall beautiful African American woman said.
“Thanks Jazmen; see you tomorrow.” Zoey continued walking down the long hall.
“Hey! Hey Zoey!” She turned and realized it was James from her class who had been calling out to her. He rushed up to her and when he was before her he smiled nervously and tried to catch his breath at the same time. Zoey just looked up at him. “So… are you busy?”
Still she just looked up at him.
“Ok…are you going to talk to me?”
“That depends, are you going to attack me again or gather an angry mob to burn me at the stake?”
He smiled apologetically. “Sorry about that. I can get that way sometimes.”
“Yeah well, next time try some Midol.” She began to walk away but he grabbed her arm.
“Zoey I’m sorry. Really. I was just wondering- you seem to know a lot about the supernatural and things like that and I was, well, I was wondering if you’d like to get together and discuss it sometime. You know, like over coffee sometime? That is if your boyfriend won’t mind.”
Zoey smiled. “That sounds like a good idea. And for the record, I don’t have a boyfriend.”
James smiled. “Well, what are you doing right now? I know it’s late and all.”
“It’s only eight. The night is still young and I’d love to join you for coffee.”
*****
Zoey nodded as she sipped her hot apple tea. “Well I’m not an expert or anything but there is always some truth to everything. I have to see it.”
“But seeing isn’t always believing,” James said looking at her with a warm smile.
For the past hour the two had been deeply engrossed in a conversation on the supernatural and the class in general. He found that she was quite knowledgeable in a lot of areas, especially demonology.
Zoey smiled faintly and stirred her tea with a thin red straw. “James, just out of curiosity, did you only invite me to talk about the class the whole time?”
James smiled and leaned back against the green plastic fabric of the booth chair. “To tell you the truth I’ve been meaning to ask you out for a while now. I just didn’t get the nerve to.”
“Oh really?”
James smiled. “Yeah. You’re an interesting and intelligent- not to mention beautiful, person.”
Zoey blushed a bit and he put his hand over hers.
James pulled his black mustang up to the curve and turned the engine off.
“Thanks for the life,” Zoey said as she unbuckled her seat belt.
James smiled. “No problem.”
Zoey nodded and a slight awkward pause fell between them. It was now close to eleven thirty. Time had just gone by when they were talking about their favorite movies and bands. She was surprised to find that they had a lot in common. Not only that but that she actually liked him. Jake and she had dated for like a week before deciding to just stick to being friends and Zoey did feel that she wasn’t ready for a relationship yet. Tonight proved her otherwise. “Well, I should get going,” she said after a while. James nodded. “Good night.”
“Wait, I’ll walk you to the door.” He quickly got out of the car and went to open her door for her. The two walked hand in hand up the stone steps.
“Well, this is me,” Zoey said pointing to the door. “I had a good time tonight.”
“Yeah, me too,” James said. “Um, would it be alright if I kissed you?”
Zoey smiled shyly and nodded. He leaned in and kissed her lips gently. The kiss was full of passion and left her a bit breathless when they parted. “Good night.”
“Good night Zoey,” James said with a bright smile.
“Where have you been?” Piper asked as Zoey entered the second living room where she and Leo were snuggled up on the couch. Even though she was now six months pregnant, she and Leo were still as lovey dovey as they had been before she was pregnant.
“I was on a date,” Zoey informed as she took a seat on the chair.
“A date?” Leo said curiously.
Zoey nodded. “Yeah with this guy named James. He’s in my Myth and Legend Class. We were arguing about the existence of werewolves and the next minute he asked me out on a date. We had coffee- well, he had coffee and I had tea, but we had the most amazing conversation ever. It was so great!”
“Wow, I’m glad to see that you’re finally moving on,” Piper said. “Now details.”
“6’1, brown hair and deep blue eyes; broad shouldered, well built; strong jaw line. A perfect gentleman: he opened all the doors for me and he even asked my permission before he kissed me.”
“Sounds like a keeper,” Leo said. “I like old fashion.” Piper smiled at him.
“Anyways, I’m pretty beat. Good night.”
*thanks for the reply. as for Chris well........keep reading*
** “Where is she?” Chris demanded again. He, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were gathered in the attic waiting to vanquish a pack of lizard-like demons that Chris found to be a threat to the safety of Wyatt.
“She’s on a date,” Paige replied boredly as she filed her nails. “She said she’d get here soon.”
“She’s on a date?” Chris said curiously.
“Yeah she’s on her third date with James,” Piper said. A sly smile spread across her face. “Why? You’re not jealous are you?”
Chris gave her a look. “No, I’m not jealous. Why would I be?”
“OH I don’t know,” Phoebe said. “Maybe because you were when she was with Jake. But you were with Audrey then.”
“Speaking of Audrey,” Paige said. “Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that since the two broke up Chris has been making us do a lot of demon hunting?”
“Yeah, why is that?”
“Can we just focus on the demons?” Chris said irritably.
“Fine,” Paige said as she crossed her arms across her chest. She sighed and glanced around the attic.
Zoey walked in moments later with a smile on her face. “Sorry, we kind of lost track of time.”
“I bet you did,” Phoebe said with a smirk on her face.. Zoey stuck her tongue out at her.
“Let’s get vanquishing,” Chris said.
Zoey shimmered into the center of an empty fire lit cave. She glanced around and listened intently. Suddenly, a loud shriek echoed around the cave loudly and soon 5 lizard demons surrounded her. “Hello boys,” Zoey said and with a wave of her arms she caused the 5 demons to fly backwards in a violent gust of wind. Piper came running out from behind one of the large boulders and blew up a few demons. As she did, a few more demons came out from hiding and attacked them.
A large ugly lizard demon came after Phoebe. She levitated and kicked the demon in the chest. The demon was barely affected by this. With a quick swipe of his hand, his razor like claws slashed her across the chest.
Phoebe cried out in pain. Piper turned towards her sister and blew up the demon.
Paige orbed out of the way of an oncoming energy ball. When she reappeared another one came her way. “Energy ball!” Chris yelled and the energy ball turned into blue and white orbs in front of Paige, and with a wave of his arm, Chris sent the energy ball back a the demon and it exploded upon impact.
Zoey ducked the long metal blade of the sword that the demon swung at her. She dodged his punch and dropped kicked him in the chest then set him aflame. As she did a rope was thrown around her neck and the demon that had her yanked on it. Zoey fell to the ground and the demon dragged her along the rocky sandy ground.
Zoey tried to free herself but the rope was too tight and it was scraping away at her flesh. She was becoming dizzy and her vision was blurring as the demon continued to reel her in. Zoey mustered up the strength to stand up and when she did the demon swung her by the rope into wall where the sharp rock cut her arm and shoulder and she fell again. The demon dragged her into the lake and suddenly she was underwater.
Potion viles flew out of the sisters’ hands and cracked at the feet of the demons. Te special blend of octopus powder and black poppy mixed with a strong dose of wormwood oil created a black cloud of smoke. The demons screeched horribly as their skin melted off their bodies. A foul stench came from the melting flesh and then they combusted.
“Oh god!” Paige said pinching her nose.
“Geeze Chris! What did you have to do that for?” Phoebe exclaimed as her hands covered both her mouth and nose.
“Ok, I’m feeling nauseous,” Piper informed placing a hand to her stomach. She closed her eyes to keep herself from vomiting.
“Same here; let’s go.” They were about to orb out. “Where’s Zoey?” Paige asked suddenly.
They glanced around the now empty cave. An odd feeling came over Phoebe. “Oh no,” she said as she rushed over to the lake. The lack of light made it appear black. “I can’t sense her anymore.”
Chris waded through the water and went under and looked around. It was hard to see because the fire light didn’t reach far under the water.
“Well?” Phoebe asked when Chris emerged.
“I don’t see her,” he said in a panicked voice. He took a deep breath and went back under. He swam deeper and suddenly spotted Zoey further down. Her hair was flowing over her face; the rope was till tight around her neck. Chris swam over to her and wiped away her hair; her eyes were closed and her face was extremely pale. Chris pressed his lips to hers and breathed into her mouth then began to swim to the surface with her. It was a struggle because of his and her jeans and shoes.
The two finally emerged and Chris swam her to the shore. Chris cut the rope off of her. He pinched her nose and breathed into her mouth two times. He found that she wasn’t breathing and she had no pulse. He began to administer CPR. Soon Zoey coughed and water came out of her mouth. She gasped for breath and her eyes were violet. She coughed several more times and cried out in pain. Chris quickly worked on healing her as the three sisters stood in silence looking down at Zoey.
****
All five of them orbed into the manor. “What happened to two?” Jason asked ash he and Leo entered the living room.
“Demons, what else?” Piper said. “Chris take her upstairs. Run the warm water and get her cleaned up.”
Chris nodded and orbed Zoey up to the upstairs bathroom.
“Why are they soaked?” Leo asked.
“A demon drowned Zoey tonight,” Paige answered. “We don’t know how long she was…”
“I’m sick and tired of this,” Piper said.
“Piper,” Leo began.
“No, we cold have lost her tonight Leo. We risk our lives to much. We’re used to it but…I’m pregnant and I can’t keep putting myself in danger. Zoey is still just a kid; she shouldn’t have to be fighting for her life because she’s a witch.”
“I understand what you’re feeling,” Leo said
“Do you Leo?” Piper questioned. She sighed and went into the kitchen.
“Hey, talk to me,” Leo said entering the kitchen.
Piper took a sip of her water bottle. “What if she died Leo? I took her in to keep her alive, not to die.”
“I know.”
“What if…what if that happens to me one of these days? I’m a mother now Leo.”
Leo hugged his wife and kissed her forehead. “I won’t let that happen to you.”
****
Chris felt the warmth of the shower water then turned to Zoey who was leaning against the wall to keep balance. She hadn’t spoken since the cave. Chris walked over to her and took her pink jacket off. Zoey barely moved. Chris then closed the bathroom door. “Arms up,” he instructed.
Zoey raised her arms above her head and he took off her pink shirt revealing her white bra. He then unbuckled her belt and began to unbutton and unzip her jeans. He then took off her converse sneakers and pink socks; after, he slid her jeans off of her. She stood there in her blue underwear and didn’t say a thing.
“I’ll wash these,” Chris said looking at her. Zoey hugged him suddenly and began to cry. He hugged her back. “Hey, you’re ok now,” he said softly and kissed her hair. He looked into her eyes. “You’re safe now Zoey.”
She nodded and he wiped the tears from her eyes. She smiled up at him faintly. “Thanks to you,” she whispered. Chris kissed her forehead and he gathered her clothes and left her in the bathroom

“Yeah, I’m on my way right now,” the young girl with strawberry blonde hair and green eyes said as she continued to drive down the dark desolate street. “Rene chill, I’m taking a short cut through Golden Gate Park.”
The light of the full moon peaked through the trees and was the only source of light besides the few dim street lights.
“Yeah, the party is supposed to be off the hook. Also, Henry is going to be there and I’ll get a chance to -” she slammed on the breaks and her car screeched and skidded sideways and came to a halt. “OH sh!t!” she exclaimed. “I think I just hit a dear or something.”
The girl got out of her black Honda Civic and looked around. All was quiet and dark. “I don’t see anything.”
She continued to walk around her car and squinted in the darkness. The bushes behind her suddenly moved. The girl turned around quickly and a slight shiver went down her spine. “Yeah, I’m still here. I thought-” she heard heavy raspy breathing and a low growling noise. “Rene, something’s out here,” she whispered into the phone.
She began to walk quickly back to her car. The growling grew louder and suddenly a large hair dog like creature jumped out of the bushes. The girl screamed as it tackled her down. “Hello? Abby?” the voice on the other line said as the creature ripped out Abby’s throat.
***********
A knock came at the door and James walked over tiredly. He was in the middle of changing clothes and hadn’t buttoned up the dark blue collar shirt he wore. “Zoey, what are you doing here this early? I thought we were meeting for breakfast at Stacks.”
Zoey smiled faintly. “I thought we could go together instead.”
James smiled at her and stepped aside and let her into his apartment. When he closed the door Zoey hugged him tightly. Since she had her near death experience, she had been reflecting a lot on her life. She needed to figure a lot of things out and one of them was James.
She hadn’t been dating him for that long, in fact it had only been six days. He was mysterious but made her laugh and that’s what she liked about him. But there was something that she couldn’t quite figure out about him. Something was different about him.
“Is everything alright?” James asked as he hugged her back and kissed her hair.
Zoey looked up at him. “I’m not sure.” She kissed his lips sweetly. He returned her kiss more passionately and pulled her closer to him, deepening the kiss. Kissing her neck he unbuttoned her blouse and slid it off of her shoulders. She did the same with his collared shirt.
James led her into his bedroom and laid her down on the bed still kissing her. James kissed her collar bone sweetly then made his way back to her lips. Zoey then pulled away. “What’s wrong?” James asked. Zoey looked up at James and played with the silver chain he wore around his neck. “I can’t do this,” she said slowly. “Is it your first time?” he asked curiously.
Zoey laughed. “No, its not. I just don’t feel right about this. I’m sorry.” She sat up on the bed and glanced over at him. James kissed her hand. “Don’t be sorry. Its ok.” Zoey nodded and smiled faintly

“P3 this is Piper speaking,” she said into the black cordless phone as she wiped down the bar counter.
“Piper, it’s Paige. Have you watched the new today?”
“No, I haven’t, why?”
“Put on channel four right now,” Paige replied. Piper changed the channel on her small portable t.v. that rested on the refridgerator.
“Right now police are not giving out much information on the death of seventeen year old Abby Delmonte, a senior at Sacred Heart Preportory school, who was found brutally murdered in Golden Gate Park late last night. They have yet to release information on suspects or regarding the state of the body. I’m Giselle Pontier for KRON 4 news. Back to you Janine.”
“I don’t see what this-”
“Darryl is here and he has the whole story. Ever read about werewolves?”
“Werewolves? How did you come to this conclusion?” Piper asked. She had left the club immediately after hearing what Paige had told her on the phone. She left her assistant in charge of making sure she locked up after the band rehearsed and rushed home as fast as the traffic would let her.
“The girl, Abby, was found mauled to death by with her throat and heart ripped out,” Darryl explained as he sat down on the arm of the couch. “Forensics found traces of dog hair all over her body. When the hair was put through a test, forensics couldn’t i.d. the they type of dog; clue number one.”
He placed his hands in his coat pocket. “The coroner’s report found teeth marks on the girl’s abdomen and identified them as being and identified them as kind that belong to a wolf; a big wolf. The teeth were abnormally large for it to belong to an actual wolf though. That’s clue number two. Lastly it was a full moon last night and again another was killed.”
“Wait, what do you mean again?” Phoebe asked looking at Darryl curiously.
“Last month there were three mysterious dog attacks,” Paige informed.
“How do you know?” Phoebe asked.
“Um, because it was in your husband’s newspaper. You should read it sometime.”
“Did you check with the elders?” Piper asked.
Chris nodded, “They’ve confirmed that it is a werewolf that we’re dealing with. Which means, we need to find out who the werewolf is before tonight which is the next full moon.”
“How else are How do we do that? It could be anyone,” Phoebe said.
“Here’s a radical idea,” Chris said. “We can hunt the werewolf down.”
“What?! You’re kidding right?” Phoebe said. “You actually expect us to hunt this thing?”
“How else are you going to find it?”
Piper stood up and shook her head. She placed a hand to her stomach. “No, I don’t think so. That’s suicide. Even if we are witches, werewolves are something we can’t go up against as if it were just another demon.”
The front door closed just then and Zoey walked in tucking a wisp of brown hair behind her ear. She stopped in the conservatory and took her big dark black sunglasses off. “What’s going on here?” she asked looking at Darryl and the sisters.
“A werewolf is running the streets of San Francisco,” Phoebe informed.
“A wereworlf?!”
“I don’t mean physically hunt it,” Chris continued, ignoring Zoey. “We could try scrying for it. Only we won’t be able to find it until the sun goes down.” Chris then looked at the sisters. “Also, I don’t want any of you going out. That includes you Zoey. No more dating until we find this wolf and figure out a way to stop it.”
Zoey sighed. “No problem with that,” she muttered as she took a seat on the couch. “But I do need to go to work. I’ll drive though.”
Paige turned to Zoey. “Oh no, what happened between you and James?”
“Its private so I’ll tell you later,” she said with a sigh.
Darryl cleared his throat. “I’ll leave the werewolf search to you. Keep intouch.”
“We will. And keep yourself off the streets at dusk,” Piper said as she walked Darryl to the door.
Phoebe sighed and rubbed the back of her head. “Chris, do you think you can go to magic school and check to see if they have any additional information on werewolves?”
Chris nodded and orbed out.
Paige then turned to Zoey. “So you want to tell us what’s going on with you and James?”
Piper took a seat beside Zoey on the couch as she listened to her.
Zoey sighed, “Is it possible to not be in love but still really like someone?”
Paige gave Zoey a look. “No one ever said that you had to be in love with everyman you date.”
“No, I know that. Its just…ugh! Ok so James and I were making out and then we were on the bed but I couldn’t go through with it because I kept thinking about Chris.”
Piper sat up straight and looked at Zoey curiously. “You’re still in love with Chris?”
Zoey leaned back against the couch. “No, I’m not in love with him anymore. Maybe. I don’t think so. I just really like him still. Its complicated.” Zoey pouted.
“Oh honey,” Piper said and hugged her. “So you and James?”
“We’re just friends,” Zoey said. She sighed, “I have to go to work.”
********
The night air was cool against Zoey’s face as she crossed the quiet, desolate park she used to always pass through on her way home when she lived with Summer and Ronnie. She knew that if any of the sisters or Chris found out that she was walking alone in the park they’d kill her. But she had to stop by her tree in the park. Everytime she needed to figure things out, she went there. The tall oak tree was her private place. Her place to think.
Her heels made a light tapping sound against the cement pathway. She passed by the swing set where she was attacked by a demon just a little over a year ago. That was the day her whole life changed. She found out that she was a witch. She met the charmed sisters and she met Chris. She smiled to herself as she recalled their first meeting. He had been such a jerk to her and she had wanted so badly to kick his ass. She sighed and glanced ahead. One of the things she liked most about the park was that it was secluded. You couldn’t see the cars, only faint headlights off in the distantce.
Suddenly the air became thick and warned of something nearby. Zoey stopped and glanced around. She saw nothing and heard nothing but the rustling of the trees.
She continued to walk and heard the soft sound of footsteps from behind her. Zoey quickened her pace but the footsteps remained the same. Now she heard a growl from behind her. She smiled to herself and her eyes flashed purple. She turned expecting to see a demon but instead saw the werewolf. It was big and its coat was black and standing on end giving it a vicious appearance. Its ears were pointed back and its yellow eyes were slanted on her. Its large razor like teeths glistened in the moonlight. Before she could light a fire ball, the werewolf charged at her. Zoey turned and ran as fast as she could. Her heel tapped loudly against the pavement. The wolf growled ferociously. Zoey ran onto the lawn and glanced back. The wolf was gaining on her. She ran faster and as her left foot came down, her heel came down wrong and her ankle snapped. Zoey let out a cry of pain. She tried to shimmer but the pain was too much on her and she couldn’t concentrate on shimmering. She tried running but collapsed after two steps. She quickly turned around and lit a fire ball. It flickered dimly but she used it to set fire around her.
The wolf charged and she sent a fireball at him. It grazed the wolf’s side. The wolf growled more viciously. Zoey sent another fire ball at him, this one more dim than the one before. The wolf dodged it. “Chris!”
Suddenly a tall man with Dark brown hair and grey eyes materialzed in. He shot a gun at the wolf but the bullet only grazed the wolf’s shoulder. Chris orbed into the ring of fire and sent the wolf flying into a lamp post. It whimpered then ran away.
“Foolish witch!” the man hissed. “You let it escape!” the tall man then materialized out. Zoey gave a blow kiss to the flames and they slowly turned to ice then melted into water. Zoey fell back and Chris quickly healed her.

“Were you scratched?” Leo asked.
“No Leo, for the gazillionth time I wasn’t scratched,” Zoey replied then took a sip of her apple tea.
“I only ask because-”
“you care, I know,” Zoey finished icily. She sighed. “I’m sorry, its just, dying twice in one day isn’t my cup of tea. Why couldn’t I shimmer? Why did my fire not burn strong enough?”
“I think its due to the physical turmoil that your body’s been through the past two days,” Leo explained. “You should be fine if you just get some rest.”
“Rest? How do you expect me to rest if there’s a werewolf roaming the streets?”
“Don’t worry about the werewolf; the sisters are making spells and potions, the man you saw is a werewolf hunter. I’m going to check up with the elders to see if they know who the werewolf is.” Leo orbed out. Zoey buried her face in her hands.
“Hey, are you alright?” Chris asked sitting down beside her.
Zoey shook her head and looked at him. “No, I’m not ok Chris. I’m having a hard time accepting that I died last night and almost being dog chow tonight; I broke up with my boyfriend and now there’s a werewolf on the streets.”
Chris took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. “You’re safe now. I won’t let anything happen to you.” He pulled her closer to him and hugged her. He stroked her hair. “I promise.”
“How long can you keep saving me?” Zoey whispered.
“As long as I can,” he whispered back to her.
******
It was late the next afternoon and Zoey, Phoebe and Paige were down in the kitchen mixing potions. Zoey boredly stirred her potion.
“Are you alright Zoey? You’ve been really quiet,” Phoebe said.
“I don’t know. I’m just thinking.”
“About what?” Paige asked.
Zoey added some blue powder to her concoction. “About my life; about Chris.”
Paige smiled sympathetically at her. “Did you tell him how you feel?”
Zoey shook her head. “No, no not yet. Last night he was just so…good to me like he always is. I just haven’t worked up the nerve to tell him.”
Phoebe smiled. “Are you in love with him still?”
“I think part of me still is. But part of me isn’t sure.”
Chris orbed in just then. “How are the potions going?”
“Its almost done,” Paige informed. “We’ve got tranquilizers and Zoey’s working on the lethal one.”
Chris turned to her. “How’s that one coming?”
Zoey lit a fire ball and placed it over the cauldron. The potion began to boil with large bubbles coming to the surface rapidly. She extinguished the fire ball. “Finished. I melted down pure silver and enhanced it with some mandrake root to make it burn when the silver enters the blood stream. With the burning, not to mention other ingredients, will make the body try to fight off the infection- this will just help spread the silver. One shot and no more wolf.”
Chris nodded and Zoey’s cell phone rang. She checked the caller i.d. and smiled. “James,” she said then opened her phone. “Hey, what’s up?” She nodded her head. “Of course, I’ll be right there.”
“You’re not leaving are you?” Chris said.
“Well, yeah. He says its urgent. I’ll be at his apartment. Call my cell if you need anything.”
******
Zoey unlocked the door with the key that James had left for her under the doormat. “James?” Zoey entered the bedroom and found James holding onto the dresser and trying to bandage himself up.
“Oh my god.” Zoeyrushed over to him. “What happened? You’re bleeding.” She helped him over to the bed and grabbed the first aid kit. James was extremely pale and his entire side was covered in blood.
Zoey examined his wound and gasped. The flesh was burnt and lifted in a circular way.
“What is it?” James asked looking at her curiously. “H-how did that happen?”
“I don’t know,” he replied slowly.
Zoey grabbed his shoulder and saw the grazed flesh from the bullet. Her eyes flashed violet and she backed away.
“Zoey?” James asked confused at to what was going on. “You, you’re a werewolf.”
James made to walk towards her but she shimmered and appeared behind him. “What are you?” James asked as he whipped around.
“A witch. How could you not tell me that you were a werewolf?”
“Yeah that would’ve gotten you to go out with me. I kiss you good night and then oh yeah I’m a wolf. How come you didn’t tell me you’re a witch?”
“That’s different. You attacked me last night and today I made a deadly silver poison that will kill you in less than a minute, and there’s a hunter with you- oh god! You killed that girl in the park!”
James grabbed hold of her arms. “Zoey, I don’t remember doing any of that. When I turn, I become something else. The animal takes over. You have to believe me, I would never hurt you.”
Zoey looked at him and hugged him. “I believe you.”
The pale gleam of moonlight streamed through the blinds. James’ body tensed up suddenly. He cried out in pain. He pushed her away and she smacked into the dresser. James cried out again and his eyes became yellow. His canine teeth became longer and more pointed and his nails became longer. Hair sprouted out on his face and chest.
“James?” Zoey said in a small voice. She was frozen in fear. He glared at her with slanted eyes, growled and jumped out of the window.

Zoey shimmered into the Halliwell kitchen where Piper and Chris were busy with more tranquilizers.
“Oh my god, what happened to you?” Piper asked noticing the cut on the side of Zoey’s head.
Zoey laughed. “My ex boyfriend the werewolf.” She sat down on the chair. She laughed again. “I mean, it was bound to happen. I mean, Damien, Alex, Chris…all not normal.”
Chris healed the cut. “Did he scratch you?”
“No, he pushed me away because he started t change.”
“We’ve got to find him,” Piper said. “Do you have anything of his that we could scry with?”
“I have the bracelet he gave me,” she took the leather bracelet off and handed it to Piper.
“It’ll do.”
******
Paige orbed in front of the middle aged man who was running as fast as he could. “Take my hand!”
The man looked confused but the howl of the wolf forced him to do just as she instructed and they orbed out.
The wolf growled as he came to a stop and saw Zoey step out of the shadows. Here eyes were a deep violet. “Hello James.”
The werewolf stood up on his two legs and advanced towards her growling deeply. Zoey watched him carefully and didn’t move. The werewolf then charged at her but Zoey jumped up and over the werewolf and landed perfectly on her feet. She faced the werewolf and again it charged. With a slight flick of her wrist, a strong powerful gust of wind sent him flying back and smacked into the brick wall. The wolf growled viciously and stood up on two legs and approached her again.
Chris watched carefully as the werewolf continued to approach Zoey. “Gun,” he whispered in a commanding voice. The tranquilizer gun turned into blue orbs and he motioned the orbs to Zoey. “Hand,” he directed and the gun appeared in Zoey’s hand just as the werewolf lunged at her. She pulled the trigger and the dart struck the wolf in the neck. The wolf fell to the ground unconscious but she shot him again just to make sure. Chris and Phoebe rushed over to her. Zoey was knelt down beside the slumbering wolf and with a wave of her hand a green portal formed and they carried the wolf through it.

The sun seeped through small window where the wall met the ceiling. James woke up blurry eyed. His body felt tired and ached all over. His eyes opened wide as he recalled being with Zoey during his transformation. “Zoey,” he said to himself.
“I’m here,” she said from outside the steel barred cage.
James stood up; he was completely naked and the wounds were still visible. A large purple bruise was on his neck. He looked around. “Where am I?”
“Someplace safe,” Zoey said as she unlocked the cage and entered. “The land of Arteias to be exact.”
He looked at her, “As in the land of the Amazons? Like the ones we studied in class?”
Zoey nodded and tossed him some clothes.
“I didn’t hurt you did I?” he asked as he put his boxers on.
“No, I’m fine,” Zoey replied.
James hugged her tightly. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. Zoey hesitated before hugging him but eventually wrapped her arms around him. She blinked back tears and nodded.
*****
Heads turned as Zoey and James walked hand in hand down the hall. A young Amazon with blonde hair came up to them. “Your highness, all security measures that you’ve requested have been put into effect.”
“Thank you Skai,” Zoey said.
James looked at Zoey. “Your highness?”
Zoey smiled innocently. “I didn’t tell you? Well, I’m a princess too.” James smiled at her and the two entered the large dining hall where the others were seated at the largest table in the back.
“Good morning James,” Piper said.
James glanced at the two of them. “How are you…?”
“We’re witches too; except Leo, he’s like a guardian angel in a way,” Paige explained. “I’m Paige by the way and this is our sister Phoebe.”
James nodded as he took a seat. “Nice to meet you all. So I guess you know about what I am?”
Phoebe nodded. “But don’t worry. We’re here to help you.” James smiled faintly.
Chris ran into the dining hall just then and closed the door behind him quickly.
Paige gave him an odd look. “What’s up with you?”
Chris gave a sigh as he plopped down in a chair across from Zoey. “What’s wrong? I’ll tell you what’s wrong- I don’t have any privacy here, that’s what’s wrong. There’s Amazons outside my room, where ever I turn, they follow me all over the place. I can’t even take a shower because they might suddenly show up. Why can’t I orb? Do you know how long of a walk it is from the east wing to here? Especially when you’re being followed?”
Everyone at the table laughed.
“Its not funny!” Chris defended.
“The girls just have a crush on you. You’ve known that since the first time you came here. Didn’t I tell you that you can’t uses any type of teleportation magic in this place? It’s a new law for those who aren’t Amazons.”
She took a sip of her orange juice.
Chris glared at her. “No, you didn’t.”
Zoey smiled innocently. “Must have slipped my mind. Well now you know. By the way, this is James.”
Chris nodded in acknowledgement.
“So this is him,” a tall beautiful Amazon said as she entered the dinning hall. By her side was another Amazon with flaming red hair. “Why else would you take a keen interest in a werewolf?”
Zoey glared at Mia. “James, I would unfortunately like you to meet Mia, my birth mother.”
“Nice to meet you,” he greeted a bit awkwardly extending his hand out to her. Mia looked at him disgustedly and her eyes became a violent shade of violet. “I don’t situate myself with dogs,” she said coolly. James nodded his head and stood up.
“Where are you going?” Zoey asked taking hold of his hand.
“I’m not hungry,” he replied and walking away.
“I’m sure you had a tasty human last night, or perhaps you rummaged through the garbage. Tell me, do you prefer witches? I’m sure Christopher here would be a tasty meal…appetizer seeing how he’s so scrawny.” She took a sip of her tea.
“That’s real sweet of you,” Chris said sarcastically.
James left the room.
Zoey whipped around. “What the hell is your problem?” she demanded slamming her hand on her table causing it to break. “Why are you acting like such a little b!tch?”
“I will not be talked to that way,” Mia said calmly.
“Well that’s not my problem so live with it,” Zoey retorted.
Mia placed her fork down on her plate and looked at her daughter. “You’re not going to have anymore to do with that boy do you understand me?”
Zoey looked at her mother maliciously. “Here’s a little piece of advice for you Mia, you’re not a mother to me, you never were and you never will be. So stop trying to act like one.” Zoey made her way to the door.
“I will not have you sleeping with that thing. That’s all we need, for a puppy to grow inside of you. I’m serious. This disgusting infatuation must end now. Besides, what kind of life would you lead if you stay with that worthless creature?”
Zoey broke the doorknob and left the room before she lost her temper.
Piper turned to Mia. “I hope you’re happy now,” Piper said.
Mia glanced at her. “How could you let this happen?”
“Whoa, hold on, you’re not going to blame this on us are you?” Paige demanded.
“You had the chance to kill him but you didn’t.”
“If you haven’t noticed James is a human,” Phoebe pointed out coolly. “He’s an innocent.”
“Innocent!?” Mia exclaimed. “How is he an innocent? He’s a monster and has killed. Just because we live in an alternate plane doesn’t mean we don’t know what goes on. How does killing make him an innocent?”
“He can’t control himself when he changes,” Piper said trying to not lose her patience.
“My point exactly,” Mia said. “How could you let my daughter get involved with this creature?”
“She’s not your daughter,” Piper said rising up out of her chair. “She’s mine. I’m more of a mother to her than you’ll ever be to her.”
“If you want her you can have her,” Mia said viciously. “I don’t want to situate myself with her bestiality.” Mia left on that note.

Zoey sighed as she watched her friend pace back and forth across her room. “Maybe you should just kill me,” James said.
“NO,” Zoey said firmly.
“Zoey will you just listen to me? It’s only a matter of time before I end up hurting you or worse, making you like me.”
Zoey grabbed hold of James’ hand. “I’m not going to kill you and I won’t have anyone else kill you James. Friends don’t kill each other.”
“But I might.”
Zoey sighed and hugged him tightly.
*******
The tall man materialized into the giant study where Mia sat with a pensive look on her face. She raised her beautiful green eyes up to him.
“Why do you call me here witch?” the man snarled.
“Bite your tongue,” Mia scolded. Her eyes flashed violet. “I will not tolerate being insulted like that again.”
The werewolf hunter bowed before her. “My apologies. I didn’t recognize who you were.”
“Get up,” Mia said boredly. “I have a job for you and I hear you are the best of your kind.” The man nodded. “I’ve found your werewolf. He’s here.”
“I’ll kill him this instant.”
“NO, wait until the moon has risen. I’ll let him out of the cage and then you’ll kill him. It’ll look like he escaped. We can’t have a werewolf running around now can we?”
*****
The night air was warm and the sky was a purplish pink as the sun was setting. The pond was quiet as Zoey stared out across it.
“I thought I’d find you here,” Chris said as he stepped through the tall blades of grass that acted like a wall. Zoey smiled at him as he sat down beside her. “How are you holding up?”
Zoey shrugged. “Besides wanting to strangle Mia at breakfast, I think I’m ok.”
Chris smiled. “I meant with you and James.”
“I’m scared for him. He’s my friend and I don’t want anything to happen to him.” Chris nodded and they fell quiet. Chris looked at her and Zoey smiled faintly back at him. Zoey then leaned in closer and kissed his lips once sweetly. Chris cupped his hand on the back of her neck and pulled her closer to him and kissed her lips. For a while they staid like that, kissing passionately. Each kiss more breathless than the last. He slowly laid her back onto the cool grass, never once breaking the kiss. She pulled him closer to her to deepen the kiss. His hands slid down her waist....
Zoey snuggled up next to Chris and played with the buttons on his shirt. She smiled at him and kissed his jaw line and then his lips.
Chris then pulled away from her and sat up. He sighed as he ran a hand over his hair.
Zoey sat up and looked at him oddly. “What’s wrong?”
Chris sighed. It was killing him what he had to do but it had to be done. “I don’t love you anymore.”
Zoey moved away from him. “What?”
Chris sighed and looked at her. “Zoey, we can’t be together.”
“Why not?”
“Because I’m not from this time. This isn’t my life. I don’t belong here.”
“Oh bullsh!t Christopher! That didn’t stop you from being with me last year.”
“Zoey, I don’t love you. You need to accept that.”
“Well I don’t because I still love you. I know you’re lying to me because I felt it in your kiss, the way you touched me. When did you suddenly realize that you didn't love me? Before or after we had sex just now?”
Chris looked at her coldly. “Why are you making this harder than it has to be? What about this can’t you understand? I’m not staying here forever. I need to go back to my own time. To my own life. You can’t be apart of that unless we somehow meet 23 years from now. We can’t be together and that’s that. I don’t love you anymore. Get over it.”
Tears were streaming down Zoey’s cheeks. “You’re a jerk Christopher!” Zoey said standing up, pulling the strap of her dress back up to her shoulder and looking down at him. “I hate you. You can’t….if you didn’t love me then why did you just have your way with me right now?” Suddenly she cried out in pain her eyes flashed a wild violet color. Chris rushed over to her. “Get away from me!” she said threateningly, then ran quickly through the tall grass. Chris followed her.
The man jumped up back to his feet and glared at the werewolf. The werewolf’s eyes slanted and he growled viciously, baring his fangs which glistened in the moonlight. He charged at the man. The man raised his gun and pulled the trigger. With a simple ripping sound the bullet shot out of the barrel of the gun and sped straight towards the wolf, its silver shell glistening. The bullet entered the wolf’s chest when it was in mid-air. The wolf whimpered and fell to the ground with a hard thud.
“No!” Zoey yelled and with a flick of her wrist sent a green fire ball at the man and he burst into flames. Zoey ran over to the fallen wolf and fell to her knees. Leo and the sisters, along with Mia came running up to them.
“James?” Zoey said in a high pitched whisper. The wolf slowly morphed back into James and he lay naked on the dark grass. Chris rushed over to him and was about to heal him when Zoey pushed him away. Her push was not with much force but sent him skidding back on his butt a couple of feet. Zoey leaned her head against his bare chest and held his hand in hers as she sobbed. She then kissed his forehead sweetly and covered him with her jacket.
“We heard the alarm but I never thought that-”
“You,” Zoey said in a low and angry voice cutting Mia off. “You did this.”
Mia shook her head. “No; Zoey I didn’t-”
“How did he get out of that cage Mia?” Zoey demanded.
“He broke out,” she replied simply. “He was a werewolf and had the strength.”
“You’re full of crap!” Zoey hissed violently. “You’re the one who put the charm on the cage. No one else could break it except for you.”
“I did only what I had to do,” Mia said with the anger rising in her body. “You’re sick to love that thing.”
“He was my friend!” Zoey screamed at her.
Mia looked at her daughter with disgusted violet eyes. “I will not have my blood tainted by another species. It’s bad enough you already had to sleep with that witch/white lighter.”
Zoey sent Mia flying into one of the tall trees. Mia smacked into the tree so hard that the bark cut into her arm. Zoey glared down at Mia. “I hate you. Come near me again and I swear I’ll kill you.”
******
Piper and Paige came down the stairs carrying with them cups of hot cocoa and some cookies. They crossed the basement over to where Zoey was laying curled up sobbing.
Piper sat down on the edge of her bed and put a hand on the girl’s shoulder. “Zoey,” she said in a soft voice. Zoey turned around and sat up making room for Paige on the other side of her. She wiped away her tears. “I failed him.”
Paige shook her head. “No honey, no you didn’t. It wasn’t your fault.”
Zoey looked down. “I promised him that I’d help him. Now James is dead because of me. How is that not failing?”
Piper looked at Zoey. “You did what you could do Zoey. We all do that. We can’t always guarantee that things will be alright. I wish we could, believe me but, sometimes you can’t always prevent these things from happening. We’ve learned that so many times in the past.”
Paige nodded and handed Zoey a cup of cocoa. “Zoey, you have to know it’s not your fault.”
Zoey nodded and sipped her cocoa. Paige hugged her and so did Piper. “You’ll get through this,” Piper said. “I know you will.”
**the end****

You must continue. I can't believe Chris said the things that he said to Zoey, especially after doing the deed. That is soooo not Chris, I thought it was someone pretending to be him or he was under a spell or something. Please fix this, bring back our Chris!
