Family Ties (Rewrite)
Chapter One: Banished
Manor-Great Hall-Past
Grams and Patty ran into the great hall of the manor. Grams was in her mid 40’s and Patty was in her late teens. Grams quickly locked the door behind them. She grabbed her daughter’s hand and headed up the stairs. The finally reached the attic. Grams let go of her daughter’s hand and walked over to the book of shadows. She began to quickly flip through it.
“What’s going on?” Patty asked her mother. She had never seen her mother like this. Her mother was supposed to be the leader. The most powerful witch the family has had so far.
“ Not now” Grams told her daughter as she flipped through the Book now more nervous than before.
“ Can you at least tell me who those women were” pleaded Patty. Her mother tuned her out and finally stopped on a page.
“ Come help me’ demanded Grams. Patty was stubborn and won’t going to do anything until she got her way. “If you won’t let listen to me, then maybe you’ll listen to you’re white-lighter. Sam!” Grams said. In a swaddle of bright white orbs appeared Sam, Patty’s white-lighter.
“What’s going on” asked Sam. He was about to ask something else when Patty extended one hand and froze him in mid sentence.
“ Patty!” exclaimed Grams. Grams waved her hand over Sam’s face and unfroze him.
“ Keep freezing your white-lighter and your going to get killed” Sam told Patty a little frustrated. Suddenly, Sam became frozen again. Just as Grams was about to tell Patty to unfreeze him, she was grazed on the shoulder by a fireball. Grams and Patty turned to see two women. They both had mid-length brown hair. One had brown eyes while one had green. The older one was taller the younger one. Grams used both hands to TK both women into the wall. The two women got up. One flamed out, the other threw a fireball at them. Patty used both hands to gesture, and froze the fireball. Grams TK’ed the fireball back to the taller woman, but the taller woman froze it. The shorter woman flamed in behind Patty and slapped her to the ground. Grams TK’ed the shorter women into the wall. Grams was about to TK a TV to the shorter woman, but the shorter women seemed to have a premonition and flamed put before Grams could do anything. The shorter women flamed next to the taller women. Both women hurled fireball after fireball at Grams. Grams braced for the hit, but Patty suddenly jumped in front of her mother and froze them. The fireball remained frozen a perfect row. Grams then displayed an excellent control of her power as gestured with her hands, and spilt the fireballs into two smaller rows, and then sent them towards the women. Each women was hit by their own fireballs and thrown into the wall. Grams and Patty ran over to the book. They grabbed hands and began to recite the spell. Patty seemed confused as she read the spell.
