Some things have bugged me in season 5 liked Why did Cole decide to stay in San Francisco after a Witch's Tale after Phoebe told him their relationship was over, so what made him change his mind about leaving cause he was all for leaving before he knew about the whole mermaid thing ? How about how did he find out that she was at the courthouse filing for a divorce? Then the end of Sympathy for the Demon when he took those powers back and vanquished Barbas how come he decided not to relinquish them after or even before the whole Barbas thing? Save a lot of the evil from coming after him.

The problem is that Cole's storyline effectively ended with Season Four. They had no idea what do to with his character in Season Five, so they butchered him.

Some people are split on that episode At least he wasn't mad then. Probably while in the void he had a bunch time to think and reflect on his own actions. Was he actually mad or was he just frustrated? Well anyway hated the way he regressed in season 5.

Seven Year Witch may not have been perfect, but it was way better than Centennial Charmed, no doubt about that.

I thought "Centennial Charmed" was the worst ever. And "Seven Year Witch" was basically a Piper/Leo episode in which Cole erroneously admitted to scheming to get Phoebe pregnant.
Horrible episodes, both of them.

Horrible episodes, both of them. Yes, Seven Year Witch was mostly focused on Piper and Leo. As for Cole admitting to scheming in getting Phoebe pregnant while under the influence of Source more likely he didn't have time to argue with Piper and probably wouldn't make much of a difference anyway.

Hey, there is a thread about Cole! I want to combine some (not all) of the things that I've said about him, over the years.
Cole's Departure Cole should've stayed dead back in S4E20 "Long Live the Queen". He should've NEVER returned from the grave in S4E22 "Witch Way, Now?". And, if we're going to revive him, then he should've left at the end of S5E2 "A Witch's Tail, Pt 2". If he is gonna stay than the Charmed Ones should've helped him out, better than they did. Phoebe doesn't owe him a relationship, nor do Paige & Piper owe him a friendship, but they didn't even try. Well except for Paige. Paige was the only one to take the Cole situation, seriously, but I digress.
Cole's Good Side I really don't think Cole is evil but rather he's misguided. The earliest sign of his "good side" is in S3E4 "All Halliwell's Eve", when his relationship with Phoebe wasn't even at its strongest, yet. We see it, when he tells the Grimlocks to let the boy go. His first instinct, in the beginning of S4E10 "A Paige from the Past" was to help rescue/save the people, in the burning car with Piper without hesitation/question. He was angry and upset with BOTH respective slumlords in their respective episodes via S4E12 "Lost & Bound" & S5E5 "Witches in Tights". His natural fear (that didn't spawn from nowhere) of "being evil" and not wanting to hurt anyone, in S5E7 "Sympathy for the Demon". Barbas doesn't create fears out of thin air. He can only tap into what's already there. And warning the Charmed Ones (at least, Piper) about Bacarra in S5E8 "Witch in Time" and even going as far as protecting Miles, showed a lot of strength & growth. Until S5E9 "Sam I am", when he just lost it, and the Charmed Ones didn't care. I just wished his "good side" was used more for the sake of it rather than "for Phoebe". Being an ex member of darkness but fighter for the light side. Use his intel/logic for good, as we saw in S3E19 "The Demon in Came in from the Cold".
Phoebe & Cole's Relationship Yes, I do like them, together and did hope they would be Endgame. Unfortunately, for Cole he couldn't let go of his power(s) whereas Phoebe was able to. As long as Phoebe was equally power hungry as Cole, they were good for each other. Once Phoebe began to change for the better, they were no longer compatible. I still like Cole outside of the Phoebe identity. The potential was there, the show just couldn't give Cole his own identity outside of Phoebe which is unfortunate.
